There’d been the first moment, warm brown eyes meeting icy blue. Shy smiles and exchanged ‘Hi’s’. There’d been fluttered uncertainty as friendship deepened and secrets were shared. There’d been hearts racing out of control as lips had tentatively touched. From there, the next steps had been as natural as breathing, maybe a few hitches in that pattern along the way. They had learned all about each other and relished in the discovery. Now, here they were, exchanging rings and promises of forever, in front of family and friends who had become family.
Isaac smiled, putting his book down to watch.
