(Open on a shot of a car driving along a highway. Cut to Carol ‘Carrie’ Freeman in the backseat, staring out the window.)
Carrie (v/o): My name is Carrie. For a long time, my family and I have constantly been on the move.
(Shot of Carrie walking down a school hallway, looking at the other kids doing their usual thing. Shot of Carrie in class, listening to the teacher talking. Cut to Carrie at a roller rink.)
Carrie (v/o): I thought my life would stabilize a little when I started attending DiTillio High, but then things took a turn for the seriously strange.
(Without warning, several Horde Troopers break through the wall and start attacking everyone in sight. Four of them corner Carrie, only for Claudia Bellucci to push them aside and lead Carrie to safety. Cut to Carrie and Claudia looking at a picture of the latter standing with an older woman.)
Claudia: Her name is Marianna Bellucci, and unfortunately, she’s my mother.
(Cut to Marianna looking at a number of photos spread out over a desk.)
Claudia (v/o): A few weeks ago, I found out she’s connected to something called the New Horde, and she seems to think you’re a threat.
(Cut to Marianna standing before a table, at which several members of the New Horde are seated, with Michelle Lewis at her side. Marianna slams a fist against a wall angrily.)
Marianna: We must eliminate her, or she will destroy us all!
(Shot of Michelle, in the form of Scorpia, attacking Carrie and Claudia. Shot of Carrie holding out a hand as an orb of light appears and transforms into the Sword of Protection. Cut to Carrie holding the Sword of Protection aloft.)
Carrie: For the Honor of Grayskull!
(There is a brilliant flash, and we see Carrie’s silhouette change shape. Once the light dies down, She-Ra stands in Carrie’s place. Cut to Claudia turning into Catra.)
Catra: I’m not gonna let anyone turn me against you this time!
(Shot of Marianna as Shadow Weaver, casting a spell. Shot of Michelle as Scorpia, swinging her tail. Shots of several other New Horde members. Cut to Carrie and Claudia standing outside the gate of their school.)
Carrie: We have to find the others before it’s too late!
(Shots of She-Ra in action, fighting alongside not only Catra, but also Lucy Webster [Glimmer], Benny Harlow [Bow], Daphne ‘DC’ Chavez [Perfuma], Mariah Nguyen [Mermista], Sasha Nichols [Frosta], and Naomi Anderson [Entrapta]. Cut to the group together in their civilian identities.)
Carrie: The New Horde won’t know what hit them!
(Cut to title card.)
