Re-written Peter Gets Dropped in Gotham!

Summary:

After a difficult decision to leave his universe Peter finds himself in Gotham with a rage boiling in his blood and a face of a teenager staring back at him. He's fourteen again and now in an unfamiliar city that was filled to the brim with crime.

Maybe rooming with a red hooded vigilante might help???

Chapter 1: Unfamiliar City

Notes:

This is a story of mine that I decided to rewrite fully because I didn't like how it turned out before let's see if we do it better this time!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Pain, Pain, Green, Pain!

Green, green, green!

Peter coughed up green sludge as he finally broke through the surface of the weird green liquid he was in. Peter reached out for a surface and pulled himself up to the rock surface that surrounded him.

Peter coughed up more green sludge gasping for air. Peter felt tears start to stream down his face as he realized the decision he made. Green started to invade his vision as he stumbled to his feet.

He had to say goodbye to his whole universe that didn't even remember him and it was his own fault.

Peter screamed in anger and sorrow. Peter finally took a breath as he noticed his scream echoed like he was in a cave of some kind. Peter took in his surroundings and realized he was in a cave. A dark cave, the only light coming from the pool of green gunk he came out of.

Peter looked down at himself and realized he was still in his Spider-Man suit. Peter also felt smaller. He took a deep breath closing his eyes, and focused on his senses to help him figure a way out.

He heard: water running, cars, the sound of traffic, police sirens, gunshots, an explosion. Peter opened his eyes, intaking a sharp breath.

Okay; he is under a city. There is water running so he is in the sewers.

Peter retracted his suit, it forming into a watch on his wrist and an ear piece around his ear. The first thing he noticed was that his clothes were too big on him.

Not by much but there is definitely a difference.

The second thing he noticed was that he was wearing a science pun t-shirt and jeans with holes in the knees. The third thing he noticed was that that's all he had. Nothing else to survive in this new universe.

Great. Just fucking great.

Peter felt green invade his vision again and punched the cave wall in anger. After a few punches he gained his senses again and found that he destroyed the cave wall, breaking it down, leaving a hole that led to the sewers.

"Well, that's one problem out of the way." Peter said, taking deep breaths to calm down as he walked through the hole he made.

"Karen, you there?" Peter asked shakily. The rage he just went through scaring him a bit.

"I'm here Peter." Karen's voice made Peter sigh in relief.

"Okay, first we get out of here then we can worry about food, water, and shelter." Peter said, taking a deep breath as he looked around for an exit. Peter found a manhole and listened for any cars before lifting the cover and crawling through. Peter quickly put the cover back on then ran to the sidewalk as a car approached him.

Peter looked around and tensed as his spidey sense buzzed. The sounds of the city were loud now and crime in particular was everywhere. Peter wanted to help but he needed to help himself first.

Peter reluctantly ignored the sounds of screams, pleading, and gunshots as he forced himself to walk forward.

Whatever this place it isn't safe. He doesn't know where he is going. He needs a map of some kind. He needs information on this universe. He needs a library.

He tried asking around for directions but everyone either ignored him completely or told him to fuck off. His senses lead him to the library, Gotham Library. Peter paused only briefly to memorize the name.

Gotham.

That must be the city he is in.

Peter walked in giving the lady at the front desk a smile before finding his way to the computers.

"Okay Karen, let's see what we can find." Peter said connecting Karen to the computer through a USB drive. The computer itself is old. Really old.
Peter found a paper with a user name and password on it and logged in. The first thing he looked up was his own name.

Peter Benjamin Parker.

No results.

Okay, so he has no identity here.

Peter made a mental note to make himself a new identity before quickly moving on.

Queens, New York.

Peter sighed in relief seeing New York existed here.

Avenegers Tower

No results.

Okay, maybe it was under a different name?

Peter took a deep breath.

Stark Tower

No results.

Tony Stark.

No results.

May Parker.

No results.

Benjamin Parker.

No results.

Peter closed his eyes taking another deep breath.

This is fine. It's better this way.

The Avengers.

No results.

Peter growled in anger, green taking up his vision.

Why does no one exist here?!

Peter clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms as he forced himself to take deep breaths.

Okay, so. No one he knows exists here.

That is fine.

Peter took another minute to calm himself before typing once more.

Gotham.

Peter needed to learn about this universe. So learn he did.

It wasn't long before he learned about the villains and vigilantes of this world along with a group called the Justice League. He learned in this world they called people with powers "metas" and the local vigilante isn't so friendly with them. He also learned that aliens were a thing here but none of them Peter recognized.

Pretending to be an alien is a good cover though.

Peter also found the Martha Wayne Foundation. A place he could probably get a meal.

Not shelter though, not if he wants to go out as Spider-Man.

Peter started setting up his identity in this universe and it was surprisingly super easy. Clearly this universe was not as technologically advanced as his own. Peter then made a past for himself including his parents, uncle, aunt, and Strange who he will be listing as his current guardian.

He is only seventeen and technically needs a guardian.

Peter's spider sense went off and he looked up to see the librarian making her way over to him. Peter immediately took the USB out of the computer and deleted his history closing up all the tabs.

"Sorry, but we're closing soon." The woman, Peter glanced at her name tag, Barbara said.

"No, it's alright. I should be heading home anyway." Peter said, standing up then noticed how late it actually was.

"Do you have someone picking you up?" Barbara asked, surprising Peter.

Why would someone pick him up? Does he still really look that young?

"Yeah, see ya!" Peter quickly left before he could be questioned further and wandered the streets of Gotham.

Food, Shelter, Water.

Peter focused on food first, heading to the Martha Wayne Foundation for a meal. He got there fairly easily with Karen's help, she now connected to this world's internet and satellites. Peter was greeted friendly enough and had as much food as he could take and promptly ate all of it.

"When was the last time you ate?" A man who worked there asked.

"Uh, a day and a half." Peter said, blushing as he finished off his third helping of food.

"Why don't you stay then, until you can get back on your feet." The man suggested.

"I couldn't possibly do that. I should freshen up before I go though." Peter said, noticing he smelled like sewage water.

"Yeah you kinda stink." The man said, making Peter chuckle.Peter nodded then did just that, heading for the showers. Peter was stopped by his reflection in the mirror.

He almost didn't recognize himself.

His eyes are tinted green just his normal brown eyes barely visible. He has a streak of pure white in his hair. He looks younger.

Peter then realized he was younger.

He is fourteen again. He needs to edit his fake ID.
