Hogwarts is a wonderful place that is known for its gorgeous lake, beautiful grounds and it's oh so wonderful(ly incompetent) headmaster; Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Evidence suggests that Dumbledore should not be allowed to be anywhere near a child, let alone be left in charge of a school full of them!
For starters, he preaches house unity and then turns around and straight up encourages the house rivalry and clearly favors gryffindors! I'm not even talking about the quidditch cup! In pottahs first year at Hogwarts, us slytherins won the house cup fair and square but then Dumbledore gave the gryffindors some last minute house points due to Potter, Weasley, and granger lacking basic survival instincts!(should've been obvious after the incident on Halloween) and it miraculously added up to be just enough to beat us winning them the house cup! I'm not mad about longbottom though. He just tried to keep the chaos trio from getting themselves killed by their own stupidity.
Also, Dumbledore is a politician. He is the head warlock of the wizengamot; wizarding britains highest court of law and parliament. Politicians should not be allowed to be placed in charge of children.
Now, some may say that Hogwarts is safer with him there because he is the only one You Know Who ever feared. Here's what I have to say to that; EVEN WITH DUMBLEDORE THERE YOU KNOW WHO KEEPS ATTACKING EVERY SINGLE YEAR! I am going to be stuck working in the leaky cauldron as a table waiter because the bloody end of year exams keep getting cancelled! Thanks a lot you know who! No nobody will hire me.
Furthermore Dumbledore has a record of hiring incompetent, unstable, or downright dangerous teachers for the defense against the dark arts position. First year, professor quirrel turned out to be possessed by He Who Shall Not Be Named himself. Then in our second year our defense teacher was utterly incompetent honestly expecting SECOND YEARS to fight of Cornish Pixies was not a good idea! We were 12! We still thought that the Weasley twins(the only weasleys I have any respect for) were good role models! And on the first day of “classes” he gave us a quiz on the books that he wrote about himself. The questions were not relevant to Defense as they were on useless topics such as what he would most like for his birthday and what his favorite color is(his favorite color isn’t magenta because it’s pretty, but because it doesn’t actually exist on the color spectrum, just like the validity of his stories and my respect for him don’t exist whatsoever.) And then he vanished potters freaking arms! What spell did he use?!?!? Also according to potter he was a mass obliviator(the only thing he was semi-competent at let’s be honest) who ended up obliviating himself using Weasleys wand! (What was going on with his wand that caused it to backfire on him?!? Thank goodness HE wasn’t the one to fight the basilisk!) Third year professor lupin was great you know if you ignore the fact that he is a Bloody werewolf! Although after professor snapes lesson when he subbed for professor lupin, the day that professor lupin was absent was a full moon, and the fact that his name can be translated to Werewolf McWerewolf, you’d thing more than just Granger would’ve realized. Last year not only did our teacher use unforgivable in front of us and imperious us in class, he was a bloody death eater in disguise! This year we have a defense “teacher” who tortures us in detention, won’t let us talk about what happened last year and won’t actually teach defense! Speaking of teaching defense, pottah and friends started a secret defense club and won’t let us slytherins join because we are “untrustworthy snakes” what he doesn’t know is snakes symbolize wisdom from the earth! Being untrustworthy is not one of our house traits! It’s being cunning, ambitious, and having self preservation unlike you gryffindors who lack a single self preserving bone in your entire house! I’m sorry pottah, I don’t want to be the next Cedric! Bringing me to my final point
Since Dumbledore has been at Hogwarts, at least 2 students and one teacher have diededed and 3 more have been constantly throwing themselves into danger(bloody gryffindors with no survival instincts). The first student death was back in the year 1943 when Dumbledore was just a teacher. A third year ravenclaw by the name of myrtle warrens was killed when the CoS was first opened. She is now known as moaning Myrtle and haunts the second floor girls bathroom. Then in pottah Weasley and grangers first year, the terror trio almost died, because DUMBLEDORE saw it fit to place a magical artifact from the school after it was almost stolen from gringotts, Hagrid apparently had a bloody Cerberus on the third floor, something was killing unicorns in the forbidden forest, Hagrid brought a baby dragon onto school grounds, and pottah ended up murdering professor quirrel with his bare hands!! Then the next year not only did we all have to worry about Lockhart killing us with incompetence, there was a basilisk petrifying students. You can guess Witch was the lesser danger. Also during a quidditch match pottah almost died from a bludger gone rogue and Lockhart vanished the bones in Potters arms! Third year Sirius black escaped Azkaban, potters broom crashed into the Whomping Willow(that’s a whole other safety hazard right there) and attempted to murder potter, also lupin forgot his Wolfsbane potion and almost killed potter. Don’t even get me started on the dementors or that one quidditch match(guess who authorized them being at Hogwarts it was… DUMBLEDORE). Last year the tournament was just a straight up death trap, where potter almost died and Cedric did die. May he rest in peace. So far this year has gone well but I have a feeling that something else will go wrong this year and us slytherins will take the blame.
In conclusion, Dumbledore is utterly incompetent, the Weasley twins had the right idea getting out of here when they did, and potter has no self preservation skills. Honestly it’s a bloody miracle that he hasn’t gotten himself killed yet.
