Heart was blind.
After the ROE Incident and his time in Apathy, it was well known between the entire trio. Juno wasn’t completely blind, but considering he could barely see anything besides blobs of color, the difference didn’t really matter.
What wasn’t known was that his eyes were now very sensitive to light.
Soul flinched at the sound of Heart screaming in pain. And not stopping.
He rushed over, trident in hand, assuming they were arguing again. But when he got there, it was… just Heart, covering his eyes and screaming bloody murder. Mind was probably still asleep.
“{What the fuck is wrong with you?}”
They uncovered his eyes, only to immediately scream and cover them again. “(My eyes- it’s so bright! It hurts..)” Juno whined out the words.
“{Shit, shit. Hold on-}” Soul covered her eyes with one hand, looking for something to mask the light.
He reached for a piece of cloth they never used, ripping it and tying it around Heart’s head as a makeshift blindfold.
Atlas heard them breathe a sigh of relief. “{Better?}”
His answer was an immediate hug from the emotional side. “(Better.)”
Artemis proceeded to rarely ever take the blindfold off. Every single loop Soul made sure to have it prepared for whoever would end up needing it.
