Wooley watches as another member of his squad is grabbed away from their prison. He grits his teeth, overwhelmed with useless anger. Another brother—gone.
Hours pass and their Trandoshan keeper returns, dragging the beaten trooper back. Wooley watches as his squadmate is shoved face down into the mud before forcing himself to look away. There is nothing he can do in defense of his squadmate’s scream.
Vesper curls into his side, body shaking in response to the torture before them. The 212th will find them soon. He hopes, at least. Wooley wishes he could hold Vesper through this nightmare.
