Chapter Text
Charlie is half asleep on his lap, eyes drooping, and head lolling forward every now and then. She wanders in, sometimes, when she should be sleeping, and when he can get away with keeping her close for a little while, he does. It isn’t often that Lucifer has her alone like this, isn’t often that he can bond with her, just her. When he has the chance to have her alone, to talk with her and hold her, he always tries to hold back.
So far, he hasn’t ever succeeded in that.
She has long since stopped asking about it, when she can feel his erection prodding into her, and stopped asking about the way his breath catches in his throat, whenever she shifts on his lap, rubbing and teasing him without even trying to. When his hands start to wander, she always leans into his touch, but now, she has also stopped questioning where his touches lead. He knows he shouldn't. Of course, he knows he should not be doing this. But Charlie is half asleep in his lap, her head resting against his shoulder, and his fingers are sliding up her thigh.
"Mm," Charlie breathes, and she arches her back a little, a shiver running through her, when his hand dips under her skirt.
"It's okay," Lucifer assures her, his voice low and thick. He leans down, so that his lips are brushing against her ear, and Charlie shivers again. "I'll take care of you."
"I know," Charlie mumbles. She doesn't protest when his fingers dip inside her panties, and instead she spreads her legs, as if to give him easier access. Because, not only has she learned not to question him by now, but she has learned to give in, and to love every second of it.
