Gwen was four when a criminal that her dad had arrested broke on her home, she was four when she saw her mom die, she was four when a criminal kidnapped her, she was four when said criminal put her on a coma, it was three weeks later when she woke up remembering her past life.
Gwen was horrified, her mom died in front of her and gad the terrible realization that she was reborn as Gwendolyne Maxine Stacy, the Gwen Stacy that the writers of Marvel seam to make as miserable as Peter Parker, she was doomed to die or suffer a lot and then die, with a few exceptions.
It was another week until she made up her mind, she refused to die, fuck the canon. And so she decided to pull a Batman and become a master of multiple martial arts and study a fuckton to learn a lot, and was going to figure out where the Dr. Strange lived to learn at least a bit of magic.
She didn’t know if it was the extended coma or remembering her past life but she didn’t remember anything from before the coma, she soon found out that she had an amazing mother and a dad that tried, she came out as trans and they supported her.
When she asked her dad if she could join a karate class, he put her on one without much fuss, he started working no stop, and it was probable that if she didn’t remember her past life things would be very lonely.
When she proposed gymnastic classes a part of her karate, he let her join without issue, gave her food at the beginning of the day and toke her to her classes when she had to go to them. She didn’t spent a lot of time on a lonely home anymore.
She was five when they moved to a apartment, there she meeted the Parkers, and soon realized that Peter is adorable, somehow his very existence was wholesome and apparently very bullyable by older kids, she of course beat the shit out of those monsters, like who and why would bully a four year old, when explained to Dad he was very proud.
Dad agreed to change to other martial arts with the condition of going to therapy, she wasn’t very affected by the death of mom because she can’t remember it, but apparently everyone thinks she does because she is very serious not very child like, wanting to learn multiple martial arts seems to support this theory.
She accepted because she needs the martial arts knowledge to survive the Marvel universe and it’s tendency of making Gwen Stacy life a tragedy. The therapist has a theory in which Gwen remembers but refuses to talk about it. Of course they are wrong, she was not traumatized, just haunted because of the knowledge of the standard destiny of herself.
By the time she was seven she had successfully mastered gymnastics and was decent at various martial arts, better at some than others, this time she decided to try MMA, dad was becoming increasingly hesitant to more the martial arts and MMA was at least a mix of various of them.
Tony Stark went missing and a six months later he was found, he was captured by a terrorist group that wanted weapons, upon his return Stark closed the weapons division of Stark industries, two weeks later he became an activist on human rights and developed research centered on hrt, supported trans rights and by the end of the year he was Iron man. Peter and Gwen were fans, but not necessarily for the same reason.
Matt Murdock became the family’s lawyer, and much to Gwen’s distress, this one worked with the Kingpin, so chances are this is Murderdock.
It didn’t take long for Murderdock to take interest on the girl that seemed to be so traumatized that she started to train no stop to do something about it, at least to him it seemed like it, he felt identified.
When Matt offered training that her dad shouldn’t know about she took it, she was very serious about the becoming Batman if that was what it took to survive.
By the time she was ten Matt confirmed her suspicions by confessing his powers and his plan to take everything that Wilson Fisk has ever build, everything he worked towards and shove it on his face before killing him.
On her 12th birthday Matt took her to a hand safe house, there he presented to her the man that killed her mom, gave her his cane, the one with the sword in it, and said that it was a gift and a test.
Gwen had no intentions of joining the hand, nor does she had resentment towards the man, so she pulled a Batman, attacked Matt, felling satisfied that she managed to take him by surprise and bolted out of the safe house.
They tried to stop her but she managed to fight them off, she was proud of herself, she finally was sure that she could have a chance to survive Gwen Stacy’s common destiny.
On her way home she passed by a SILK laboratory, there, she felt pain on her neck, fearing that the hand had catched up to her she tried to reach wherever had caused the pain, and saw a white spider, still alive and visibly calm.
