Work Text:
I, have missed you.
Long days have gone by
With rains that washed our souls
My lungs have emptied and filled
While minds continue to spin.
Sorting clutters and shifting piles
Pained days I carried through
With nights that pierce my foolish wounds
To come back here again and again.
Oh, how I've missed you.
Back and forth I carry a heart
Wondering of your absence
Back and forth I've been carried
By seats so cold and vacant.
Never daring to linger, or time may never stir
Where once was always and yet never enough
Our locked eyes that shattered all
Making warmth erupt with all held breaths
And, how I've missed you so.
For soundless moments heard through hearts
Distant spaces filled with desire
Peering through windows where nothing lies
Preserving moments I'll never have.
Our moments shortened with journeys reached
Our lives divided by closing doors
With hours passing in minutes endured
Eyes once locked on shortened rides.
Have you even missed me at all?
