On an Island but not that Island
Arrow
Oliver/Felicity
WC: 252
Prompt: Write a story that has night-blooming jasmine, denim, cut grass, and wooden shutters. via Get Your Words Out!
Oliver stood on the balcony of the hotel. He inhaled the night air. The scent of night blooming jasmine was thick in the damp night air. He looked down and spotted the blooms directly below where he was standing.
It was very different from the last time Oliver was on an island. He didn't notice flowers back then. He was more interested in survival.
Oliver took another deep breath and smiled. He smiled as the scent of the flowers filled his nose.
Felicity came out on the balcony in a tank top and very short denim shorts. She padded over to the edge on bare feet and rubbed Oliver's arm.
Oliver put his arm around her. “This is nice.”
“You hate it. This hotel looks like something from Gilligan's Island and there's nothing to punch or shoot at.” Felicity rubbed his cheek. “I can have us packed and ready to go in twenty minutes.”
“I kinda like the grass hut with the wooden shutters look.” Oliver lied. He didn't want to ruin her vacation.
Felicity looked him in the eye. “It's okay, Oliver. I know you tried. This just isn't relaxing for you.”
Oliver turned to her. “Before you pack, there is one thing we need to do.”
Felicity looked confused.
Oliver scooped her up and took her to the bed. He dropped her on the bed and climbed up next to her.
“Oh okay.” Felicity giggled as Oliver kissed her neck.
Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad vacation after all.
