Chapter Text
Running, panting, running, jumping, a quick dirty blond curly locks turned Vampire was moving swiftly as he could through the thick trees. His brown eyes never looked back, he could sense the creature following him at fast speed. He hated that he had to be the bait, but he was one of the quickest in the group. It was either him or a certain pinkette that would be the bait. Knowing who their enemy was, he was chosen only because he was a male.
“Guys!” He called out as he got closer to the others. They had one chance to trap this creature, this agile creature with a humanoid upper body and serpent lower body. Their blond hair and blue eyed Angel friend called them Nagas. The eldest in the group recalled that they were used to protect a wizard’s territory, but the creatures turned on their masters and now lived in their dwellings.
Once the curly, dirty blond haired man passed by a set of trees, he stopped and turned around. Ready to attack the naga, closing in on him, but a trap was set, and the creature sprung the trap. Using vines tied up to make a net, the naga was suspended in the air. It wiggled around and tried to reach out and attack the man who was running away from it.
Three ice arrows shot through the air towards the creature, who scratched them out of the way, but it was a distraction as a single throwing blade was thrown towards the back of its head, killing the creature.
The short, dirty blond haired man walked towards the creature, having pulled out a hunting knife to defend himself against the beast, and touched the beast through the vines. “It’s dead!” He called out. “Drop the net!”
From up above, two Alpha Vampires jumped down. One was a large, muscular man wearing an animal pelt cloak. He had shaven brown hair with soft blue eyes on his scarred face. His soft blue eyes looked over at the other large muscular man with short brown hair and green emerald eyes. The first man was slightly taller than the other. “Looks like we got ourselves another one.”
The emerald eyed man nodded his head. “Is that right? I thought you were going to let me handle this one, Toshiya.”
“With how you struggled, the vines would have surely broke, Kojima.” The larger muscular man, Toshiya, chuckled as he slapped the other muscular man on the shoulder.
The shorter man with curly blond hair laughed lightly. “It’s okay. These creatures are heavy.” He walked up to the emerald eyed man, Kojima, and stood on his tiptoes and kissed his cheek.
“You’re right, Hitaru.” Kojima looked at the curly, dirty blond haired man in front of him with a gentle smile on his face.
Just then, there was a snapping sound of twigs that turned the three in the direction of the sound to see two young teens walk out of the tree line to the small clearing they were standing in. One was a blond hair Angel boy carrying a bow with a satchel of arrows. The other, an Omega Vampire, with long red hair tied up in a long braid behind his back. They both had smiles on their faces.
“That was the easiest kill I have ever done!” The blond hair boy had blue eyes filled with pride.
“How did you manage to shoot ice arrows from one direction and throw your blade from the opposite direction?” Toshiya asked, raising a brow.
“Easy, I threw my ice arrows.” The redhead shrugged his shoulders with a smile. “Ryan wanted to try something different.” He pointed to the blond beside him.
“Not following the plan, again?” Kojima shook his head. “At least it wasn’t a disaster.” He chuckled dryly.
The blond hair teen, Ryan, nodded his head before looking around. “Where’s Niko?” He asked the others.
The bright redhead rolled his green eyes. “Probably hiding, again.”
“Don’t be like that, Darius.” Hitaru, the curly haired man, sighed at the redhead. “You know he can’t fight, well.”
Toshiya nodded his head. “I threw him up in a tree. We should go get him. Come on, Kojima.” He slapped the emerald eyed man on the shoulder to help him. The two of them took the vine trap they had caught the naga creature in and rolled the creature up in the vines.
“Hang on.” Ryan, the blond haired teen, walked up to the creature, and pulled a scale out from it’s large snake like tail. He ran the scale under his nose as his blue eyes widen. “It’s a mother.”
“What? You can’t be serious.” Kojima huffed out, looking at Toshiya.
“Let's go!” Toshiya nodded and both of the larger muscular men took off running in the direction Hitaru had come from.
Hitaru shook his head. “I’m sure the others can handle it.” He mumbled under his breath as he looked down at the dead naga they had. “Well, we better carry this one back ourselves.”
“Without those two, how are we going to do that?” Darius, the redhead, questioned as he looked at Hitaru.
“Hey! Can someone get me down from here!” A feminine voice called out, making the three look around at the trees. Ryan pointed up in the direction of the voice.
In the trees, sitting on a branch, was a smaller-framed Omega Vampire with light red hair and tears in his light green eyes. “I don’t want to be here anymore!” he whimpered.
“Just climb down, Niko!” Darius rolled his eyes. “And stop yelling.” He mumbled to himself.
“NO!” Niko expressed his dislike to that idea. “Go get Toshiya!”
“Niko, he ran off. If you won't climb down, we’ll leave you here.” Ryan shook his head. He was equally annoyed about the smaller framed man not doing as they told him.
“Don’t do that!” Niko whimpered loudly. “Help!”
“Fuck, Niko! Shut up!” Darius called out. “If there is any other creatures out here, your cry for help will get us killed.”
Hitaru walked over to the tree Niko was in. “Just jump down, I’ll catch you.” He didn’t like the other redhead, but they needed to get back to the others. No one was going to stay behind and wait for them to return.
Niko whimpered. “Are you going to be able to catch me?” It was clear in his voice he didn’t trust Hitaru.
“I’ll catch you. Or you can climb down the tree and I’ll spot you. If you slip or fall, I’ll catch you.” Hitaru was just being nice at this point. He couldn’t leave the other behind, he wasn’t that cruel. There would always be tension between them because Niko was still pursuing Kojima, who was now with Hitaru.
“Fine!” Niko called out and try as he might to move towards the center of the tree to start climbing down, he managed to slip off the branch he was on. “AHHH!” Darius rolled his eyes as Ryan dashed to Hitaru’s side to help him catch Niko. The two succeed in catching the smaller framed man who was shaking like a leaf now.
“See, we caught you.” Hitaru and Ryan both put Niko’s feet on the ground and started walking away. “Now, you better help us carry this thing.” Hitaru gave Niko an a pointed look.
“No way!” Niko shook his head, as he stood there shaking and hugging himself. “I won’t touch that thing.”
“Whatever.” Hitaru rolled his eyes and turned to Darius who was standing beside the tightly wrapped naga. “Can you handle carrying the body and I’ll carry the tail end?”
Ryan patted Hitaru on the shoulder as he came to stand beside the other. “You carry the body. Darius and I will tackle the tail end. You know the way back.”
“True. Alright, is that okay, Darius?” Hitaru just wanted to make sure the other teen was fine with the plan.
“Knowing how heavy the tail is, I guess I could do that.” Darius nodded his head.
The two teens helped Hitaru secure the upper body of the naga on his back with the vines used as straps. Because of the long length of the snake tail attached to the body, Darius and Ryan tried putting the middle of the tail over their shoulders to help carry the long creature. It still dragged on the ground.
“Heavier… then it looks.” Ryan struggled to speak as they carried the creature away slowly.
“I know.” Darius was equally struggling as Ryan, the Angel, was doing. He was just an Omega Vampire, so he had a bit more strength than the Angel. “Toshiya and… Kojima make it look… easy.” He panted out.
“Maybe you two shouldn’t try and do something the big boys do.” Niko commented from behind them in a sassy tone.
“Shut up, Niko. You aren’t helping, so you can't say anything.” Hitaru, who was leading them and struggling himself to carry the creature back.
Since the group of fourteen had entered the wastelands, what seemed like a couple days to journey to their destination, was dragging out longer. What seemed like hours, was only minutes outside the wastelands. What should have been three days was more like three weeks. During their time in the wastelands, they learned and encountered many creatures from wolves, bears, and jaguars. The farther they walked, they started to encounter a creature called a naga.
According to their Angel friend, Ryan, he seemed to have had a memory unlock when they encountered their first one. Nagas enjoyed solitude in their younger years and didn’t attack anything unless provoked. They were quick agile creatures and protected their territory. Females of this species would leave behind a scent to attract the male counterparts to them, they would lay their eggs in a nest once they mated with a male counterpart, but it wasn’t always one male, sometimes three males to one female. The males would help defend the area where the female laid her eggs. Stopping any intruders from approaching the nest and the female counterpart. Once the eggs hatched, the male counterparts would only take their male offspring from the female and leave the area back to their own territories. This left the female to take care of the female offspring, if one were to hatch.
Ryan, after he had unlocked this knowledge in his mind, learned that all nagas had a small scent in their scales that would tell him what the naga was. Of course, their appearance easily determined by the smaller, breasted figure that was female and the larger, buffer figured that was male. Females weren’t as strong, but their male counterparts could easily over power an Alpha Vampire, like Toshiya and Kojima. But their scent could tell Ryan if the female had mated or was in heat.
Coming up to the small shack that they had spotted the naga at, Hitaru paused as he scouted out the area. No one else was there yet, and using his hearing he could hear fighting off in the distance. He sighed and continued on. The four had arrived before the others and Ryan and Darius helped Hitaru put the creature down on the ground.
“I’ll go inside and see where the nest is.” Ryan told them. Darius followed after Ryan.
Hitaru let out a sigh before he started untangling the naga from the vines. “It would be appreciated if you would help out, Niko.”
Niko huffed. “Never. I don’t want to get dirty anymore than I am. Besides, I have enough on my hands and testosterone to deal with.” He found himself a stump to sit on as he watched Hitaru.
“Right. You giving your body out to keep the Alpha’s aggression at bay with Toshiya.” Hitaru rolled his brown eyes. Niko was only using that as an excuse. It was known in the group now that those who were Alpha Vampires could become a problem to them if their bodies started releasing more testosterone. A raging Alpha Vampire would be a problem for them.
“Don’t tell me your not doing the same thing with Kojima?” Niko sat there shocked. “You know he is just as stressed out as Toshiya.”
“Niko, everyone is stressed out trying to survive. With the amount of fighting everyone is doing, TOGETHER, Alpha’s aggression is in the back of our minds. If Toshiya or Kojima were doing everything themselves, then I could see Alpha’s aggression making its appearance.” Hitaru had to emphasize to Niko that everyone doing their part and helping each other out would be less stressful. He could see why Toshiya is taking on more stress because Niko doesn’t do anything, but Toshiya was old enough to understand when it was too much to handle. Niko was only using Alpha’s aggression as an excuse to fool around with Toshiya.
“Well, you shouldn’t be taking the chance with Kojima. He’s a loose cannon. If you won’t do it, then I will.” Niko straightened up his back and stuck his tongue out at Hitaru.
“Real mature, Niko.” Hitaru rolled his eyes as he had unwrapped the naga from the vines and was folding up the vine net for the next time they needed it. “Kojima made it clear to you that he doesn’t want you back. So stop trying to get in his pants.”
“He was my boyfriend before you. You two aren’t even a couple.” Niko started being sassy with Hitaru.
“Right, keep telling yourself that.” Hitaru could understand why Niko was telling him that, they kept to themselves a lot on this journey. Sure, they would hug and kiss each other on the cheek, but that was as far as they would go. They made it clear to each other that anything more could distract them from their mission. Niko just didn’t understand that.
Darius and Ryan started walking out of the shack. Ryan had an old book in his hand that he was reading and Darius was carrying a large egg in his hands. “We found three more.” Darius said as he brought the egg over to Hitaru, who took it from him and set it down beside the dead creature. The egg was large in size, and they knew why. The egg was holding a large toddler size infant inside that had a long serpent tail.
“I’ll help you with the other three.” Hitaru said as him and Darius walked back to the shack.
Ryan was flipping pages in the book he had, reading the context. He was pacing back and forth and humming to himself.
Niko sighed. “What are you reading? Where did you even get that book?”
Ryan looked up from the book at Niko. “I got it from inside the shack. Where else would I find it?” He smiled with an attitude in his voice. “Seems this was a warlock's home before the naga took it over. Don’t you ever listen to what Arista told us?”
“Yeah, yeah. These old huts we have been finding were once home to a family generation of warlocks. They summoned these naga creatures as protectors.” Niko waved his hand at the idea Ryan was saying.
“Right. And this is one where the books haven’t been scrapped to nothing.” Ryan told Niko, as he closed the book up. “I think I actually found a journal, but the text is so ancient I can’t even read it. It looks familiar to the ancient Vampire text, but I don’t think it is.”
“I guess you just have to wait for Arista to tell you what it is.” Niko sighed. “Where are they? It shouldn’t take this long to defeat one of these creatures.”
Ryan blinked at Niko’s complaint. “Do you not know how much of a struggle it is to fight these things?” He pointed at the dead one on the ground as Hitaru and Darius came out with an egg each. “This one was just a female. The others are fighting the males most likely. They are quick with deadly force. Did you not watch Toshiya struggle to take one down with his bare hands yesterday?”
“Yesterday? That was like last week!” Niko stood up.
Ryan shook his head. “In your mind it was last week, but in the real world it was just yesterday.” He sighed. Not wanting to deal with Niko and his stupidity, he turned away to go sit near a tree and try to read the book he had in his hand.
Darius was standing near the eggs he had brought out as Hitaru went to retrieve the last egg. “You really don’t get it, do you?”
“Oh, I do.” Niko crossed his arms over his chest. “I just don’t see why everyone has to make a big deal about fighting. I haven’t fought and I’m surviving.”
Darius’s eyes when wide as he stared at Niko in disbelief. “We are doing the fighting as you sit on your ass and do nothing! If you were out here alone, you wouldn’t survive a day!”
“Humph!” Niko stomped his foot and turned away from Darius. “You guys keep attacking and fighting everything you see in your path. Maybe if you would just ignore them, they would ignore you.”
Darius couldn’t believe what Niko was saying. Even Toshiya had warned them that it was attack first or be killed. Niko wasn’t seeing the big picture here. “Maybe you should just walk off and see if you can even survive two minutes.” He challenged Niko.
“Maybe I will!” Niko accepted Darius’s challenge and started walking away from him.
“Niko! Don’t go out there!” Darius called out to him. He was afraid whatever would happen to Niko, the blame would be put on him. He didn’t think Niko would actually do it when he challenged him. Niko only turned around to flip Darius the bird before running into the dark forest that surrounded them. “Shit!” He turned around to the shack to see Hitaru bringing out the last egg. “Niko just walked off, alone.” He quickly told Hitaru.
Hitaru rolled his eyes as he walked over to the other eggs and put the one he had down with them. “Fuck. Which way?” He quickly asked.
“That way.” Darius pointed. “You’re not going alone, are you?”
“Kind of have to. You and Ryan need to stay here and wait for the others. Give me two minutes.” Hitaru told Darius as he took off in the direction Niko had went.
Darius sighed as he walked over to where Ryan was. “You hear that? Two minutes.” He told Ryan as he sat down beside the Angel and rested his head against Ryan’s shoulder.
“I heard and already started the counter.” Ryan spoke, uninterested as he was looking at the book.
“What doesn’t he get? We’ve all had to save his ass at one point during this whole trip.” Darius complained. He knew he wouldn’t get an answer out of Ryan, but he wanted to voice his opinion.
Ryan flipped through the book in his hands before setting it aside. “How about we do it?”
Darius perked up and looked at Ryan with wide eyes. “You know we haven’t bathed since yesterday.”
“I know, but if we don’t claim that bed inside there. Niko is going to.” Ryan gave Darius a knowing look. “Besides, we'll wash up after. I still have a bottle of water.”
“Yeah, but that’s what you drink.” Darius shook his head.
“I can always collect more in the morning. Remember, time moves differently here. We have experienced enough mornings here already.” Ryan put his hand around Darius’s shoulder. “We haven’t been really intimate and maybe the stress of everything happening, we need our moment.” He brushed his thumb against Darius’s lips when he placed his hand on the young Omega’s face.
Darius smiled sweetly. “I guess you’re right. Let’s do it before the others return.” He stood up and pulled the Angel up as well as they walked into the shack where there was a single bed for them to share.
What felt like an hour, was only a minute as Hitaru had Niko by the back of his neck, and dragging a dead wolf by the tail. He was leading him out of the dark forest. “You really just had to run off like that. You are so lucky I found you.”
“I didn’t know there was a wolf stalking me.” Niko rolled his eyes. “I’m sure I posed no threat to him.”
“That’s what you think.” Hitaru released Niko, who started wiping the back of his neck. He tossed the wolf with the dead naga and looked around. “Where did those two go?” He sighed, before he heard a soft moan. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he walked to the shack.
Opening the door, he looked inside. Nothing there, but he knew he heard something. Quietly, Hitaru walked in to what could be classified as a kitchen area that had a table and chairs flipped about. It was a small shack and there was a single wall that blocked off an area where they had found the nest. Hitaru already knew there was a bed beside the nest on the other side of the wall.
A few moans and grunts could be heard from the other side of that wall. Hitaru could already sense it was Ryan and Darius, but he wanted to be sure they were alright as he peeked around the wall. Darius was lying on his back, with his feet in the air as Ryan had Darius’s legs on his shoulders. But that wasn’t what shocked Hitaru. Sure, they were doing the nasty in a dirty home and they haven’t bathed since the last time they spotted a river. The shocking sight was the sight of two large Angel wings sticking out of Ryan's back.
Hitaru blinked at the image in front of him as Ryan was thrusting his hips towards Darius and grunting as Darius was moaning softly. He quickly turned around and left the shack as quietly as he could. He knew Ryan to be an Angel, but he had never seen Ryan’s wings look so large before. Hitaru was just shocked to see them out like that. It made Ryan seem more mature than his small like appearance. He looked over at where Niko was sitting, sitting on the same stump he sat on before.
Hitaru didn’t tell Niko what the younger teens were up to. Niko probably could have guess by the faint moans, as he narrowed his eyes at Hitaru. “So, you are letting them continue?”
Hitaru shrugged his shoulders. “They, at least, do something to help out. And it’s not like they are always doing it. This is the first time since we’ve been here.” He hated to be alone with Niko’s sour attitude.
Just then out from the dark forest on the other side of the shack, stumbled two people, a pink haired young teen girl holding up a minty green haired muscled teen boy. The shirt he had been wearing was torn in the front with claw marks, bleeding. The pinkette had short hair wearing a one piece bathing suit and jeans. The muscular teen boy’s hair was a mess of layer locks. He had a grin on his face as he was holding the bleeding marks with his other hand, as he had his arm over the pinkette’s shoulder.
“We sure showed them.” The minty green haired boy told the pinkette by his side.
The pinkette rolled her green eyes at the teen. “Next time, dodge.” She shook her head slightly.
Hitaru walked over to the two and reached out to take the teen from the pinkette. “What happened, Leon?” He asked, helping the teen boy sit down near the shack to rest.
“Oh, you know, same old thing.” Leon, the minty green haired teen, chuckled, before hissing in pain. “I was actually being an idiot. Paige here,” He pointed to the pinkette. “Was trying to seduce one of the nagas, and I tried to attack it with my knife as it started chasing her. Instead, it stopped and attacked me.”
“As luck would have it, Kojima and Toshiya arrived just in time.” Paige, the pinkette with green eyes, laughed lightly. “I decided to bring Leon back on my own.”
As Hitaru examined Leon’s wounds, he smiled slightly. “Seems it’s nothing but a surface scratch. You’re lucky.” He decided to take off his backpack and pull out some bandages. “Let me wrap you up. You’re already healing, but it will stop the bleeding.”
Leon nodded his head and looked with his brown eyes at Paige. “See, it’s only a scratch.” The grin on his face was surely being forced as Hitaru started packing up Leon’s torso.
Paige looked around and noticed something. “Say, where is Darius and Ryan?”
Hitaru coughed as Paige and Leon looked at him for the answer. His brown eyes moved to the door of the shack a couple times.
“Are you serious?” Leon groaned out before he hissed from Hitaru applying pressure to his wound. “I’m the only one not getting any.” He whined.
“No one else is getting any, Leon.” Paige crossed her arms over her chest. “Well, besides Niko and Toshiya, they are the first even to do it out here.” She rolled her eyes at Leon.
Leon nodded his head before looking in Niko’s direction. “If we are staying here tonight, I want dibs on the bed before he and Toshiya get their paws on it.”
“Really? Even after those two have been screwing each other on it?” Paige made a disgusted face
“I don’t care. I just want to rest comfortably after almost being gutted.” Leon rolled his eyes. “Besides, they might be cleaner than those two. Ryan can’t knock Darius up, if you catch my drift.”
“He’s right.” Hitaru nodded his head. “You haven’t been in the shack after those two have been in it.”
Paige shivered her body. Not wanting to think about what they were talking about, Paige said, “Fine, but I’m not sleeping in there with you, Leon.”
“That’s fine. I kind of want to stretch out so my body heals.” Leon looked up at Paige. “I still love you, baby.”
“I love you too, Leon.” Paige smiled sweetly to Leon. She sat down beside Leon when Hitaru finished up.
Hitaru neatly organized his belongings and placed the backpack back on his shoulders, ensuring that the straps were securely fastened to his body. Everyone carried their backpacks tightly against their bodies, even in battle. They didn’t want to leave their things behind when they were on the move. Only those who got really close to the creatures would sometimes throw their backpacks on the ground before fighting them up close.
Since Hitaru didn’t want anyone to disturb the two young teens, he stood in front of the door that would lead into the shack, as noise coming from the forest indicated the others would arrive soon. And sure enough, Toshiya, the tall largely muscular Alpha Vampire was the first to appear. His animal pelt cloak was torn, but the rest of him was fine. “They had two nagas to fight, and one just happened to be a giant.” He told Hitaru why they didn’t return earlier.
A giant naga was that, a large naga that was double in size compared to the ones they usually dealt with. Their large bodies meant they could stand taller than the trees, if they really wanted to with their largely massive tail. According to Arista, the giant nagas held warlock magic in them, from when they consumed a warlock. Their first experience with a giant naga wasn’t easy for all 13 of them to take down. But now that they learned their weaknesses, fighting a naga or a giant naga just took time and patience.
Hitaru nodded his head. “That explains it.” He let out a soft laugh. “At least, you all made it back in one piece, right?”
“Yeah, we did.” Kojima walked out of the forest next, with blood all over himself. “Paige and Leon were busy distracting the smaller one, while the others fought the giant. Lucky for them, Toshiya and I arrived on time to save their asses.” He smirked as he walked over to Hitaru, placing a kiss on his cheek. “I really need a shower, or a river to clean up in.”
“I can tell.” Hitaru smiled at Kojima as he watched the young Alpha remove his blood soaked shirt.
Niko got up from the stump he was sitting on and rush over to Toshiya. “You left me up in a tree.” He whined to the taller Alpha Vampire.
“Sorry, Niko. It was a rush decision to go help the others. But it looks like you made it out just fine.” Toshiya rubbed the back of his shaved head.
“Never again, please!” A whine was let out by a certain short buff teen as his mop of white hair came into view. His black soul eating eyes were rolling back into his skull as he walked out of the dark forest. “I’m tired of being thrown around!”
“Buddy, you have to learn. Taking on something that large is gunna get you caught.” A tall lanky muscular man with short light brown hair appeared. He had multiple ear piercings and his brown eyes shined with playfulness.
The white haired teen glared with his black soul eating eyes towards the taller man for his comment. “Screw you, John!”
“I’m right here if you want to screw me, Spike.” John, the taller man with the multiple piercings joked to his short muscular friend.
The white haired demon looking teen shook his head. “Fuck you, John.” He mumbled under his breath before realizing what he said. “Fuck no! You're my buddy!”
John chuckled. “Ain’t that the truth, man.” Both him and Spike laughed about it. Their joking was all in good fun.
A bright coloured redhead appeared from the dark forest next, he looked worn out as he stumbled over to where Leon and Paige sat and plopped himself on the other side of Leon, resting his arms on his knees. “Next time, I’m following you.” He looked over at his friend Leon. “I can’t waste my energy on burning everything.”
“You shouldn’t be burning anything but the enemy, Dameian.” Leon joked as he nudged Dameian with his arm.
Dameian laughed lightly. “Well, when you are instructed to create a ring of fire around the enemy and keep control of it to burn said enemy but make sure it doesn’t burn anyone else, it gets tiring.” He explained what he was doing that took a lot of energy from him.
“Yes, it may have drained you now, but you are gaining a lot of control over your fire to be able to do that.” A soft feminine voice was heard as a short girl appeared from the dark forest, followed by a taller woman. “I am so proud of you.” The girl approached Dameian and sat in front of the young redheaded teen and leaned forward to kiss Dameian.
“Ah, Dameian! I didn’t know you liked children!” Spike called out from where him and John were sitting.
The young looking girl rolled her eyes. “Shut it, Spike. I’m a thousand times older than you and I can put you in your place.” The girl’s voice lost it’s soft sound and became hard with a demanding tone.
“You know he is only doing it to get a reaction out of us, Arista.” Dameian told the girl in front of him as he ran his hand through her long wavy blond hair. “We all know you’re over two thousand years old, even if you do look like a teeny bopper.”
Arista, the blond haired girl, who looked no more then 12 years old, smiled brightly at Dameian, looking into his blue eyes with her icy blue eyes. “I guess you are right.” She giggled softly as he went in for another kiss, but behind her was the taller woman with her, clearing her throat.
“Ahem.” The taller woman shook her head. “Lady Arista, as your advisor, you shouldn’t be acting like a child.”
Arista rolled her eyes as Dameian was the only one to see her do it and sat back on his legs with a straight back. “You are right. It is highly inappropriate of me to engage in silly acts of love.” She looked up at the taller woman, who stood there with her curly blond hair and sugar brown eyes looking down at Arista.
The advisor sighed. “I’m only looking out for your best interest, Lady Arista.”
“No, you are right. Impure thoughts has made my magic do bad things to those who were turned with my blood.” Arista looked back at Dameian. “Even if I can’t use my Vampire Mage magic now, there is no telling what will happen to me.”
Dameian nodded his head, he knew what Arista was saying. She was simply trying to keep her advisor off her back. He watched Arista get up from the ground and readjust her brown leather jacket. Oh, he wished she was still a beautiful 16 year old girl, but he was happy that she didn’t care that her appearance had changed. This restriction on her magic was the downfall.
The last person to walk out of the dark forest into the small area was a blood soaked man from his mouth down his shirtless chiseled abs body, wearing only a pair of skin tight dirty maroon jeans. His wild spiked auburn hair was also dripping with blood, as his red with purple swirling eyes looked satisfied in hunger.
“You guys left me there alone.” His sweet sounding sing song masculine voice reached everyone’s ears. “Next time, don’t leave a man behind.”
Arista stood up and looked the man up and down. “Next time, follow us if you don’t want to be alone. You’re a big boy now, you can handle yourself, Kenji.”
The auburn haired man glanced at Arista with his red-purple eyes, before shifting away from her. “True. I could just leave you all here to find your way on your own. But than who would be around to save your sorry asses?” Kenji had an arrogant air around him.
“Go clean yourself up, Kenji.” Arista shook her head and pointed to an area away from the others.
Kenji snorted with a smirk on his face as he walked passed everyone to a small clearing near the dead creatures and eggs. He sat down near a tree and leaned against it and closed his eyes as he crossed his arms over his abs. He was ready to fall asleep.
“It’s getting worse. The more time we spend here, his attitude keeps changing.” Hitaru quietly commented from his spot in front of the shack.
Arista nodded her head. “I know, and now he won’t listen to anyone, but me. He’s becoming quite a prick.”
Spike snorted with a menacing laugh. “You guys never been with Kenji like we have. This is normal. He’s turning back into his former self. What you guys saw was Kenji on drugs, using the drugs to socialize and be friendly. Without them, he’s becoming himself again.” John stood beside Spike nodding his head, agreeing with Spike’s words.
“Yet, when he mixed alcohol with drugs, he became the loudest prick of all.” Kojima commented, running a hand through his brown hair. “I’m not sure which Kenji I like better, the drug addicted one or the sober one, but I know we can’t handle the alcoholic drug user side of him.”
John laughed, shaking his head, making his piercings jingle. “With Kenji, you can't win. I say. I like sober Kenji, he’s more in tune with his surroundings and doesn’t need us to have his back because he’s got our backs.”
“The kid's right.” Toshiya agreed with John. “There have been a lot of close calls, but when he appears, he turns the tables quickly. But Arista is right, he isn’t listening to anyone. He does what he wants and doesn’t consider others. All the planning and strategies have been left to me, Kojima, Hitaru, and Arista now.”
Everyone had agreed with what John and Toshiya were saying. They were staying alive because the four worked together to shoulder the weight Kenji was supposed to be dealing with. Kenji was now acting on his own and whatever plan and trouble they ended up in, Kenji was at least there to back them up and finish the job.
“Now, wait,” Arista looked around, counting in her head before looking at Hitaru. “Where is Darius and Ryan?”
“Oh, they are here.” Hitaru nodded his head. “In fact, they’re in here.” He pointed with his thumb to the door he was standing in front of.
“Why are they…” Arista’s words trailed off. “Oh.” Her icy blue eyes got wide for a moment. “Okay. Never mind them, let’s get our feast on.” She pointed to the dead creatures.
Hitaru looked over at Arista’s advisor. “You and I got four eggs to split. Take whichever two you want, while they cook up the rest.” The advisor nodded her head in understanding.
Since the two of them weren’t born Vampires, but turned Vampires, it was easier to drink the blood of the unborn children they found in the eggs. The rest would get their blood intake from cooking the tail of naga. Arista had informed them that naga blood was richer than human blood and cooking it down with the meat would be easier for them to digest the blood. Alpha and Omega Vampires were born on an island that was magically infused, Alphas being the warriors of the race and Omegas being the child bearers of the race. The two born Vampires not falling into this category were Arista and Kenji, they were classified as Beta born Vampires, all the perks of a turned Vampire and more. The strongest of their race, if they adapted and trained to be such. Leon fell in the categories of a born Vampire, even if he was turned, because he was turned into an Alpha Vampire.
As the skinning and cooking began, Darius and Ryan both slipped out of the shack. The two thought they could blend in with everyone else, until Niko made the announcement.
“Glad to see you got your ass filled up, Darius.” Niko sneered at the redhead. “Maybe now you won’t be such a bitch.”
Darius rolled his green eyes at Niko’s words. “I only wish it was true about you, Niko.”
Niko glared at the redhead. “Still a bitch, I see.”
“Go suck a long one, Niko. Oh wait, you can’t suck anything bigger than your own cock.” Darius jeered back at Niko.
Looking between the two, Arista sighed. “Cut it out you two!” She waved the knife that she was using to slice the meat up at them. “Or else, you both be getting a time out.”
Niko huffed and stood up. “Toshiya, I’ll be waiting inside-”
“Oh no, you don’t!” Leon jumped up from his spot near the side of the shack. “Injured get the shack tonight.” Since he was right beside the door, he only had to open it and walk inside. “Keep all sexy times away from me.” And he shut the door.
Paige rolled her eyes. “He says that now, but he’ll be begging for it in a day.” She giggled at her own words.
“Poor guy.” Dameian laughed with Paige. “At least give him a chance.”
“When the time's right.” Paige nodded her head, before looking at Darius. “You didn’t make a mess in there, did you?”
Darius shook his head. “No, we cleaned up. Ryan had an extra bottle of water so we could.”
Ryan nodded his head at Darius’s words. “Yeah, and I removed the sheet from the bed too, so it’s stain free.” He laughed lightly. “You can even sleep with him tonight if you wanted to, the bed is big enough for the both of you.”
Paige shook her head. “Leon wants to stretch out. His injuries aren’t that serious, but he wants to make sure they heal well.” She stood up from her spot. “I’ll cook up his portion, now. He’s probably starving for blood.”
Niko had walked away and sat on the stump he had originally sat on before. He wasn’t even helping with the meat or skinning of the creatures. Toshiya had heard the whole thing and he was kind of glad to be getting a break tonight, but he was sure Niko would think of something. Going without sex for over 14 years, than ending up with a horny teenager who didn’t understand that time moved differently here in the wastelands, his body seriously needed the rest.
Spike and John had already cooked up their portion of meat and joined Kenji in the corner of the small area they were occupying near the shack. They sat and ate silently, even offering Kenji some, but Kenji was refusing in his sleep.
“Say, what’s tomorrow’s plan?” John inquired, starting a conversation with Kenji.
Kenji opened one eye and glanced at John. “Same thing as we did today, and yesterday, and the day before that. Journey to the Old Kingdom.” He closed his eye after he spoke.
Spike chuckled darkly. “Maybe the three of us should just leave here and continue?”
“Why’s that?” John looked around Kenji to look at Spike. “You know it’s better to stay as a group. These guys won’t make it without us, and I’m sure we won’t make it without them.”
“I guess, but we are wasting time stopping whenever it gets dark. I don’t think I have ever slept this much in less than 24 hours.” Spike looked back at John. “It feels like weeks, but my body is tired of all these cat naps we’ve been doing.”
“It’s essential,” Kenji spoke up but didn’t open his eyes this time. “These cat naps we are having regenerate our stamina. I could tackle these wastelands on my own without rest, but you guys need it to heal properly.”
“He’s right, man.” John picked up a cooked piece of meat, staring at it. “We also can’t handle the richness of this blood from these snake like creatures. Kenji has shown no signs of it affecting his body. Plus, he could probably just use that stupid Vampire Speed of his and make it there in a day.”
Kenji shook his head. “The wastelands power is still in effect. I’d make it there in two weeks based on the wastelands. So, two days.” Kenji brought his backpack forward as he dropped it on the ground in front of himself earlier. He took out the shirt he had been using as a map this whole time. It had a large rose logo on it, but secretly it was designed to be a map of the route from the mainland to the Old Kingdom, Dark Rose Kingdom. “Judging by this, we have at least another two days to make it there from here.”
“You mean, we have to be stuck out here for another two weeks,” Spike rolled his black eyes. “isn’t there a faster way?”
“If there was, do you think I would be sitting here, Spike?” Kenji questioned his friend. “It doesn’t matter. I’m here for the long haul.”
“Glad to have you, man.” John put his arm around Kenji and shook him. “Now, you just need to clean that face of yours.”
Kenji snarled. “Leave it. I don’t care if I am dirty. These things need to know to not mess with me. So, I’ll wash up once I get in the shower or bathtub, wherever that will be.”
The three friends soon rested entirely against the tree and slept under the tree that Kenji picked. The sun couldn’t touch them here. The dark forest was called that for a reason. Hitaru could actually enjoy not being wrapped up in his cloak for once.
As the dark shadow covered the sky above the trees to indicate night, almost everyone settled down for rest around the fire Dameian had started when they were cooking their meat. Paige did go inside the shack to join Leon for rest. Dameian, Darius, and Ryan slept in a group, using their backpacks as pillows near the fire. Arista and her advisor slept on the other side of the fire, using a large pillow that the advisor had conjured up with magic. Kojima and Hitaru were resting against the side of the shack, as Niko and Toshiya stayed away from the fire sleeping behind the shack.
John and Spike were still sleeping near the tree Kenji was resting against, when a sound caught Kenji’s attention. “Psst.” Kenji’s red-purple swirling eyes shot open as he glanced around the small open space they were currently occupying. Everyone was still out and didn’t show signs of restlessness as he slowly picked himself up off the ground.
Tiptoeing around his friends, Kenji headed into the dark forest. During the night the dark forest was even darker than compared to when the sun was shining down on it. He slowly made his way in the direction of where he heard the sound and used his senses to keep on high alert. The dark forest was more dangerous during the time the darkness covered the wastelands.
Taking a minute in the real world time, but over an hour during the wastelands time, Kenji came to a small clearing that had a single large boulder in the middle. Upon the boulder laid a person, clad in black from head to toe. Black hooded sweater and black jeans with black converse shoes. They laid flat on the boulder, with an arm over their face as Kenji approached them.
“Nice to see you didn’t forget about me.” Kenji smirked darkly as he put his hands in his dry blood stained maroon jeans. His singsong voice teased the other.
“How could I?” The other slowly removed his arm covering his face to show Kenji his dark red eyes. “You won’t let me join you guys.”
“I’ve told you,” Kenji narrowed his red-purple swirling eyes at the other as he growled softly. “You’re better at scouting out the dangers than the others. You do your part to help me get these fools to our destination, Ichi.”
The one Kenji was speaking to was none other than his younger half-brother, Ichirou. After an issue with egos being hurt, the younger Beta born Vampire left for the wastelands ahead of the group.
“Whatever.” Ichirou sat up on the boulder, on knee bent up as he rested his arm on it. He moved the hood from his head to reveal his spiky black hair on his head. “You’re just afraid our affair is going to cause issues for you. Again.” He said with an eye roll.
Ichirou wasn’t wrong, Kenji couldn’t deny it. Ichirou had met up with Kenji one wastelands night and confronted him that he couldn’t get Kenji out of his head after he left the beach house. The physical touches that Kenji left behind, kept making him ache for more. Kenji confessed that he was addicted to Ichirou’s touches as well. But neither of them was ready to submit to the other.
That’s when Kenji got the idea to keep Ichirou away from the others and let him scout out the territory for them. Of course, Ichirou would scout out as much as he could without going too far and lead them down a path that was less dangerous. The whole wastelands was a deathtrap for those not prepared and Ichirou was doing his best to make sure they wouldn’t face something they couldn’t handle.
“This coming from the one who can’t accept the fact he craves his big brother’s touch.” Kenji growled lowly at Ichirou, crossing his arms over his bare, bloodstained chest.
Ichirou sighed heavily, keeping his dark red eyes down. “I might crave it, but you can’t let your ego get hurt again in front of them either. You don’t want them to see how addicted you are to my cock.”
Kenji stood close to Ichirou and lean in close to whisper in his ear. “I’m not the one with a cock in my mouth every day.” His words made the other shudder.
“Shut it.” Ichirou mumbled, before he raised his eyes to meet Kenji’s eyes. “You have two choices. North East is the direction of a human village. North West is a wolves den.” He decided to inform Kenji before something happened.
“How many in game days to the human village?” Kenji straighten his back and walked around the boulder Ichirou was sitting on. His comment of in game days was to know how many wastelands days it would take, not actual days.
“Two.” Ichirou put up two fingers. “On the way, there you can camp for the evening at a river. Than by night fall of the next day, the village will be within reach.”
“Did you scope it out?” Kenji questioned Ichirou, still walking around the boulder.
“Yes,” Ichirou nodded, keeping his eyes down as he answered. “It’s an old-fashioned village. Like something from the 1800’s. Even the villagers were dressed in old-fashioned rags. If you do take that way, be wary. You are going to need that bitch’s magic to blend in without stealing clothes. Anything modern-day and they suspect you all for being warlocks or Vampires.”
“I take it the locals don’t like our kind?” Kenji raised a brow.
“That you are correct.” Ichirou nodded his head. “They have a bulletin board in the town square with bounties to capture such people. If you do go that way with the group, you are going to have to fly under their radar as travellers from a distant village.”
“Spike is going to be harder to keep under radar. He’s a fucking demon.” Kenji was rubbing his chin now as he walked trying to come up with a solution. He was interested in this village.
“Don’t forget Paige and Leon.” Ichirou reminded Kenji. “Their natural hair colour isn’t exactly natural in the human world.” The three redheads, Dameian, Darius, and Niko would be fine.
“No, it isn’t.” Kenji agreed with Ichirou. The magic that infused with the island caused a bit of genetic mutations to Vampires and humans born on the island.
“Your only way to safely enter the village without being discovered is to use that bitch’s magic.” Ichirou reminded Kenji. “You have been keeping her away from John and Spike, right?”
“Yes, I have.” Kenji stopped and rolled his eyes. “I caught her trying to lure John out to the dark forest.”
“Good, because even if she is my mother, she needs to remain pure till we get to the Old Kingdom.” Ichirou again started reminding Kenji why. “Once she crosses that line and becomes impure, she will lose all her magic.”
“Yeah, yeah. You warned me before. We need her magic to reach the Old Kingdom because Arista’s is still restricted.” Kenji waved his hand, not wanting to be reminded. It was a deal with Lady Mana when she turned her, to remain pure and untouched by another even though she was a prostitute in her human days, once she fell back into her old ways, her magic would disappear.
“Good. So, which way you want to head?” Ichirou asked, because he needed to know which way to keep going on the path already laid out for them.
Kenji looked at Ichirou like he was asking a stupid question. “The village way, of course. I think we all deserve to find a place to rest comfortably.”
“Okay, then head North East. When you get to the river, you’ll want to head North till you reach a road that will lead you to the village.” Ichirou told Kenji. “Now, I’ll be off to find out what’s on the other side of that village.”
“Oh no you don’t.” Kenji placed a hand on Ichirou’s shoulder to stop the other from leaving. “You need to do something for me.”
“I already sucked your cock today, Kenji.” Ichirou growled in frustration. “If you didn’t stop me for that, you would have been with the others to deal with that giant naga and Leon wouldn’t have gotten hurt.”
“But you stopped him from bleeding out, so what’s the issue?” Kenji snorted, not caring that someone got hurt. He just couldn’t stand to be so close to Ichirou and not be aroused. Ichirou’s scent was becoming addicting.
“Using my healing powers from a distance takes a greater toll on me, Kenji. Since you won’t let me join you guys to heal in person or even join you for supper, I have to go out of my way to find blood on my own without leaving a trail. So, no. I’m not going to suck your cock again. If anything, you should be on your knees sucking my cock.” Ichirou growled at Kenji for what he was putting Ichirou through. Having to sneak around and stay in the shadows was tiring at best. He wanted to make his presence known, but Kenji kept putting his foot down.
“Fine,” Kenji rolled his red-purple swirling eyes at Ichirou. “I guess I owe you one.” And he dropped to his knees right in front of Ichirou.
“Wh-what are you doing?” Ichirou was caught by surprise by Kenji's movements as he reached to start undoing Ichirou’s black jeans. He would have stopped Kenji if this was something he didn’t want, but for awhile now, he wanted it. It was always Kenji’s arrogant ass that was getting his cock sucked by Ichirou.
“What does it look like I am doing?” Kenji sneered, as he finished undoing Ichirou’s jeans and reached up to pull Ichirou’s jeans down with his boxers. Kenji was surprised to see how hard Ichirou was already when he sprung out of his pants. There was a bit of wetness coming from the tip and Kenji smirked before licking his tongue over the slit.
Ichirou shuddered in pleasure. “Mmm, fuck~” He moaned out from the contact.
Kenji took that moment of distraction to undo his own jeans and whip out his cock from his pants. He took his cock in his left hand and Ichirou’s cock in his right hand as he started to stroke both of them. He might not be getting his cock sucked right now, but something about hearing Ichirou’s aroused voice was something else. The arousal scent between them didn’t help either.
Taking Ichirou’s tip in his mouth as he continued his hand movements, Kenji teased the tip of his tongue over the slit a couple times. He kept getting the same reaction from Ichirou. He moved his tongue around the whole head and let his tongue piercing rub up against the slit, making Ichirou let put a shaky breath.
Ichirou could not believe what was happening now and he was more than excited for it to happen. He opened his dark red eyes half lid to look down at Kenji. What shocked him was Kenji looking up at his with his red-purple swirling eyes. That image just increased Ichirou’s pleasure.
Throwing his head back as Kenji started to take more of his cock in his mouth, Ichirou reached down with one hand and fisted a handful of Kenji’s auburn locks. A low growl came from Kenji, which only heighten Ichirou’s pleasure more. “Shit, Kenji! Stop or I’ll force it.” He warned Kenji.
Kenji gave him a warning growl to not do that, but that was his downfall. With Ichirou’s hand in his hair, Kenji had to remove his hand from Ichirou’s cock as Ichirou guided him more on his length. Tears started to form in Kenji’s eyes, but he didn’t pull away.
In fact, Ichirou kept his fist in Kenji’s hair and moved him back and forth on his shaft, till his own hips thrust forward and made Kenji take his whole length. He felt his tip hit the back of Kenji’s throat a few times, but now he really felt Kenji’s throat as he felt the slight bend in his cock and the back of Kenji’s tongue teasing the underside of his cock.
“Fuck, Kenji~” Ichirou moaned and threw his head back as he continued to throat fuck Kenji. His arousal was at it’s peak and same with Kenji’s, just by sensing it in the air around them. He swallowed hard, swallowing a moan, before he let out a soft grunt and stilled his body. His cock twitched, releasing every bit of semen from his tightened balls.
Once his load was fully released, he let go of Kenji’s hair and looked down at him. Ichirou saw the wetness on Kenji’s face from the tears that fell, but it was just too adorable to see Kenji’s wet lips from sucking him off. “You look so fuckable right now.” Ichirou didn’t hold back his comments.
“In your fucking dreams.” Kenji panted softly, before bringing his left hand up that was covered in his own release and licked it from between two of his fingers. “Mmm, we taste just about the same.” Kenji commented.
“Eww, fuck that’s gross!” Ichirou scrunched his nose up in disgust, as he reached to pull his pants and boxers up his thighs. That's when he look farther down between his legs, or rather spotted the mess Kenji blew out all over his shoe. “You got it on my fucking shoes too!”
Kenji wasn’t put off by his own actions like Ichirou was. He stood up as Ichirou complained to fix himself back inside his pants. He reached up, grabbed a couple of leaves and wiped the rest of the cum off his hands. “If your going to be an ass about it, maybe you should just stick to sucking my cock.” He nonchalant spoke.
“I don’t cum on your shoes, do I?” Ichirou turned around and asked Kenji. He already knew the answer as he always ejaculated between Kenji’s feet when he sucked him off. Just something about Kenji’s arousal made Ichirou get very much aroused, too. He should have known Kenji was going to be an ass somehow.
“Suck it up, buttercup.” Kenji smirked devilishly as he patted Ichirou’s shoulder before walking away. “The sun’s about to rise. So, I’ll catch you later.” He chuckled darkly as he started making his way back to the shack before everyone got up. He already knew what their next plan was, so there was no time to just sit around.
