Summary
They tell him he's growing up pretty.
He doesn't quite see it, looking into the mirror. It's not like it is with Till, whose fire shines brightest, eyes glinting like the shooting stars upon a hopeless night sky. It's not like it is with Mizi, whose laughter rings like a symphony, tangled hair and sloppy grin as she dances in the wind. Not like it is with Sua, whose quiet smiles and lilting voice shine; eyes fond and beautiful as she looks at Mizi.
He sees this: dull eyes on a dull body; a black hole greedily siphoning the light reflecting from the lamps above. He doesn't look human—feel human. He doesn't think he ever did.
The story from the perspective of a lonely lonely boy.
