Work Text:
It was Jeon Jungkook who found the Alpha werewolf on the outskirts of their property one of the mornings when he was out for a run. The sun was already up, and it was a damp, dewy morning, and Jungkook had been about to break into a full run when he had caught the scent of blood and then the unmistakable scent of another werewolf, which really wasn’t common in these parts of the country. There were no packs nearby, and everyone knew that there was a powerful vampire that lived in this area with connections to ancient covens, and so most people in general steered clear. His paws slowed as his body lowered closer to the damp grass, crawling forward as his nose twitched, following the smell toward it’s source, cringing as it got closer and the smell of blood got stronger, before he was climbing over a fallen log and scaring away a few bunnies before he saw the Alpha.
He was in human form and he looked awful , Jungkook wasn’t even sure if he was alive.
“ Oh, fuck ,” Jungkook exhaled shakily, his body quickly reconfiguring itself, transforming back from his wolf form to his human one. He shivered at the lack of warmth, completely naked in the winter morning air, but he ignored it as he reached out for the wolf.
He was older than Jungkook, and he was hurt–he was hurt badly –and Jungkook’s eyes widened before he was letting out a pained whine as he pulled back his hand at a flash of pain. There was silver buried in the Alpha, in his arms, in his chest, in his neck , and he was in a half-transition state with his ears and fangs out and fur splotching parts of his body, matted with blood. Jungkook’s nose twitched in distress, looking around for any signs of danger, of what or whoever it was that had attacked the Alpha, but he couldn’t sense anything out of the ordinary, other than broken branches and crushed grass patches in the direction the Alpha must have come in. He looked back the way he had come himself, toward his home, his body taut with uncertainty as he contemplated his options before finally he was turning back to the Alpha and gathering him carefully into his arms.
The Alpha made barely any noise, he didn’t try to defend himself or struggle against Jungkook or anything , which really spoke to how injured he was, and the stench of infection was rolling off the bigger werewolf. Usually werewolves were able to cure themselves of pretty much any ailment, injury or sickness, but with silver in their system, everything was harder, and with the amount of silver that this Alpha had taken, it was a miracle he was still breathing.
Jungkook’s worry for the werewolf outweighed the worry he was going to face once he arrived back home, but he was still apprehensive, and rightfully so when he reached the tall brick fences that surrounded the grounds, and was almost immediately met by a furious vampire.
“ What are you doing, Jungkook-ah ?!” Kim Taehyung was seething, his eyes blazing red and his skin glowing in the morning sun given he hadn’t even bothered to put on a shirt before storming out of the house.
“Hyung, you need–” Jungkook began anxiously, because it didn’t matter how old or how powerful Taehyung was, the sun could still affect him. It took longer, and it was easier for him to heal, and the morning sun definitely wasn’t the most powerful, but eventually it would have an effect.
“ Jungkook-ah !” Taehyung cut him off immediately, his voice dripping with venom and power, and even though it had been such a warm, sunny morning just a few minutes ago, it felt as though a storm was coming suddenly with the tension that was suddenly clouding the air around them.
“He’s hurt , hyung!” Jungkook continued determinedly, his grip needing to adjust where it was holding the Alpha. “It’s really bad, there’s silver and–”
“You should have left him to die,” Taehyung retorted and Jungkook narrowed his eyes angrily, his lips pressed together in a pout as he stared at the vampire. Taehyung stared back at him, undoubtedly expecting Jungkook to defer quickly, the way he usually did, but this time he held firm, staring back at his lover with a stubborn expression. Eventually, Taehyung looked down at the Alpha in Jungkook’s arms, and then sighed, rolling his eyes away and half turning back toward the house. He was still angry, Jungkook could feel it coming off him, and his mouth was pressed together in the way he did when he was upset, and most of the time, Jungkook would be doing everything he could to appease him. “You bring him into the main house, and I’ll kill him myself,” Taehyung stated, before he was disappearing, back into the house in a blur, and Jungkook let out a heavy sigh of relief.
He hadn’t actually been expecting it to be that easy.
It felt almost too easy, but Jungkook wasn’t going to argue, rushing into the guest house that was attached to the main one–although calling it a main house wasn’t quite correct, given it was a sprawling mansion, and the guest house was bigger than the tiny cottage Jungkook had grown up in with his four siblings. The guest house wasn’t used much, but one of the rooms had a bed, and Park Jimin was already waiting there for him.
“Jimin-ssi,” Jungkook breathed out gratefully, and Jimin looked nervous, his translucent, pearly pink wings fluttering quickly behind him and keeping him higher above the ground than his usual resting state.
“Put him on the bed,” Jimin said, and he’d already pushed back the blankets, and there was a basket filled with a few of his common healing remedies and herbs, along with some clothes. “Go and get two buckets of water,” he said, and Jungkook took off at a sprint.
Jimin’s parents were healers, and even though he had left the village where he had been raised when he was a teenager, he still remembered a lot of the things they had taught him, and once he’d gotten older, he’d taught himself more. He traded his herbs and ointments at local markets and fairs, where Jungkook would take his wood carvings and paintings, even though with the money that Taehyung had, neither of them ever needed to lift a finger if they didn’t want to.
“Was he awake when you found him?” Jimin asked with a frown as he began wiping at the Alpha’s forehead, a little nervous but nothing like the disgust that Taehyung had toward the werewolf.
“No,” Jungkook shook his head with a worried expression as he hovered close by, letting Jimin work even though he desperately wanted to be closer to the Alpha.
Jungkook still remembered what it had been like when he had first met Taehyung, how scary he had been–especially as a newly turned pup who had no idea what had happened to him. Jimin had said Taehyung had warmed up to Jungkook faster than anyone else–werewolf and others–but it had still been an incredibly intimidating first couple of days.
He had no idea what it would be like with this Alpha.
His body was absolutely riddled with silver, Jungkook had been fuelled with adrenaline and hadn’t realized that there were some burns against his chest and arms that he’d gotten from just carrying the other werewolf, but they healed quickly. Jimin was looking through one of his spell books for something that would help extract the silver quickly, and once he cast the spell with a mumble of his sweet voice, the werewolf suddenly woke.
He let out a roar that was so loud, Jimin sprung back, the fairy fluttering against the far wall with his hands up to his ears, while Jungkook winced and just dealt with it, hoping that Taehyung wasn’t suddenly going to appear and rip the throat out of the injured werewolf. Thankfully, Taehyung didn’t appear, and even though the werewolf seemed to be conscious and panting, he wasn’t fully awake, and he didn’t open his eyes, and after some hesitation, Jimin made his way back to his side, murmuring quietly as he continued with the spell.
There was so much silver that came out of the werewolf, dripping to the ground and pebbling once it had left the werewolves body, and Jungkook was watching as it was pulled with widening eyes.
It was a miracle he wasn’t dead.
“Is that all of it?” Jungkook asked when Jimin stepped back, his bare feet flat on the floor in a rare occasion and sweat beading at his forehead.
“That’s all I can manage for now,” Jimin was panting and Jungkook pulled his eyes away from the werewolf to turn his eyes toward his boyfriend.
“Ai, Jiminie,” Jungkook got up, leaning in close to Jimin and pressing a hand to his shoulder. “Are you okay? Are you in pain?” There were a lot of times when Jungkook felt useless as the youngest member of their trio, and the one with the least experience. There were some things he knew how to do–he knew how to share his strength with Jimin and Taehyung, even though Taehyung never needed it, and he could do the basic things a werewolf could; like shift, and run fast, and heal himself. But he’d heard and read about werewolves who were able to take pain, both mental and physical, and that was something he wished he could do for his lovers, especially when Jimin was only helping the werewolf because of him.
“I’m okay, Jungkookie,” Jimin’s smile was sweet as he cupped a hand over Jungkook’s and gave it a light squeeze. “I’m just tired.” He looked back down at the bed were the werewolf was lying, looking as though he was asleep now. The silver that had been pulled from him had left him bleeding even more, and after Jungkook had made sure Jimin was okay and helped him to the main house, he returned to wash away the rest of the werewolves wounds and wrap them. The silver had slowed his healing, and there was clearly some still in his veins from the way that he kept shaking, and after Jungkook had cleaned him up and bandaged him, he couldn’t help but sit on the floor and stare for a while.
Other than the werewolves he had seen at a distance when he was younger and still human, the only one he had met up close was a close friend of Jimin’s on a handful of occasions. He didn’t even remember the wolf that had torn him apart, nothing other than the pain that came with having his shoulder torn as he’d been changed on a full moon, and after he had been found by Taehyung and Jimin, he had never really searched them out. Taehyung had always made it clear that he didn’t like werewolves, that Jungkook was an exception–one of the only exceptions he had made in the thousand years he had been alive–and Jungkook had never felt the need to search a pack out. He had Taehyung and Jimin, they were his pack, and he had some hybrid friends that he had met at the local markets, but other than that, he didn’t need anyone else. The few times he had met Lee Taemin he’d had a couple of questions that he happily answered, but most of the time he remained at the manor with Taehyung when Jimin went to visit him. Taemin was an Omega like Jungkook, though–Jungkook had never met an Alpha.
But this Alpha looked nothing like the ones that Taehyung would tell him about, about the ones who had torn his family apart when he was a child. Even though his eyes were closed and he hadn’t said a word, there was something about his face that seemed… Kind .
The Alpha didn’t wake for over twenty-four hours, even as his wounds began healing and his breathing came out a lot easier, and Jimin had told Jungkook that he would recover just fine, it would just take time. It was normal for werewolves to almost go into hibernation when they had gone through something that was so traumatic to the body. That didn’t stop Jungkook from fretting, and running out of the house as soon as he woke up the next morning to go and check on the werewolf, and then race back that evening as well after he had eaten dinner.
He knew Taehyung wasn’t happy–even if Taehyung wasn’t powerful enough to change the weather and influence the mood, Jungkook would have been able to tell. The fact that it had been storming all morning and it felt as though the dark clouds were hanging inside their house all day, charged with angry energy, made Jungkook want to whimper and get down on all fours to try and make things better. It was what he always did–whenever anything was wrong with Jimin or Taehyung–he always wanted them to be good, he always wanted them to be happy, and he did everything he could to avoid upsetting him.
He wasn’t really sure why this was different, but he didn’t want to apologize for bringing the Alpha home.
“He’ll probably wake up tomorrow,” Jimin said softly from behind Jungkook, and Jungkook turned to look back at the fairy. “It’s still going to take him a while to heal though, his body hasn’t finished rejecting the rest of the silver yet, it’s slowing down the process. Even Alpha’s are affected.” Jungkook nodded, trying not to look too impatient, because he knew Jimin was doing everything he could, and that some things just couldn’t be rushed. “I’m making lamb for dinner,” Jimin switched the subject, turning away from the bed and stroking his fingers lightly through Jungkook’s hair. “Don’t spend all day in here, hm?” Jungkook nodded, even though they both knew that was what he was going to do.
He had things for carving and things for painting out in the shed–he painted in the main house often as well, Taehyung liked painting with him too–but the smells could get overwhelming for Jimin and his delicate senses. He ended up bringing a canvas up to the bedroom, sitting in the opposite corner–as far from the bed and the Alpha as possible–while watching him with sharp, inquisitive eyes, his charcoal swiping over the canvas.
Usually Jungkook didn’t like being cooped up inside for a full day, he went for a run most mornings and would shift and stretch his legs, but he hadn’t today, and he didn’t want to either, he didn’t want to leave the Alpha’s side.
“Pup, come here,” Taehyung’s voice was firm but quiet, and even with the wind and distance from where Taehyung was standing and speaking in the foyer of the main house, Jungkook’s ears pricked and he put down his canvas, casting one last look at the Alpha before he was leaving the room. He saw Taehyung’s nose wrinkle in distaste when Jungkook approached him inside the manor, and he knew it would be the lingering scents of the Alpha that were clinging to him–something he had been conscientious about washing off before he had gone into the main house yesterday. “You stink,” Taehyung muttered, but he held out his arm and Jungkook happily tucked himself under Taehyung’s arm. “Is your wolf awake yet?” He grunted and Jungkook shook his head with a sad pout, turning his face into Taehyung’s shirt, something silky because that was what Taehyung always gravitated toward.
“Not yet,” Jungkook muttered.
“Mm,” Taehyung hummed and he squeezed his arm tightly around Jungkook before pulling back and wrapping a hand around Jungkook’s wrist. His skin was always so cold compared to the way Jungkook’s body ran hot, and Jungkook’s eyes dropped down to where Taehyung’s fingers so easily encircled his wrist and lead him forward.
He loved him.
He loved him and Jimin.
They were his pack.
And they loved him, that was clear; the fact that Taehyung was letting the Alpha stay when there had been several that had stumbled into their territory in the past few years that he had immediately banished–one that he had nearly killed, although Jungkook had only heard about that secondhand.
He hadn’t realized how late it had gotten, and that Taehyung had been calling him for dinner. His nose twitched the second they stepped into the manor and his mouth started watering–Jimin wasn’t the best cook, but he always knew who to get the best meat and produce from, and his meals were always cooked with love.
“It smells so good ,” Jungkook enthused as he pulled away from Taehyung and bounced over to where Jimin was dishing up two dinners.
Taehyung didn’t eat food–at least, not the food that they did.
When he was hungry, he drank from them.
He always sat with them when they had dinner, though, and tonight he seemed to be feeling particularly clingy–or possessive, Jungkook wasn’t sure–and he didn’t let Jungkook sit in his usual seat, instantly tugging him onto his lap instead. Jungkook just grinned, happily making himself comfortable and letting his legs hang over either side of Taehyung’s thighs, big hands resting around his slim waist, and Jimin was smiling happily from his spot across the table.
“Come on, baby,” Taehyung whispered as he gathered Jungkook into his arms after they had eaten, reaching out one of his hands toward Jimin, who flew to his side.
Jungkook completely forgot about the werewolf that had absorbed his thoughts for the past few days, his mouth pressing together against Jimin’s as Taehyung turned him around and forced his legs apart. His eyes rolled back when Jimin fell down to his knees, bowing his blonde head forward and sucking Jungkook down with an eagerness he always showed when he had something– someone –in his mouth. When Taehyung’s fangs sunk into the soft, tender flesh of his inner thigh, Jungkook cried out, the initial sting fading quickly and pleasure rushing over him. Taehyung didn’t drink for a long time, he didn’t take much–he clearly wasn’t drinking because he was hungry, more for pleasure, and to leave his mark on Jungkook–but even just the briefest bite was enough to have either Jungkook or Jimin shaking.
“Sit on his cock, Jiminie,” Taehyung said roughly, and Jimin stumbled forward, climbing on top of Jungkook and smearing his cock with some of the oil he’d used to stretch himself. Taehyung blanketed himself over Jimin’s back, so that he could look over his shoulder to where Jungkook was laying beneath them both, watching his expression as Jimin slowly sunk down, and feeling the way Jimin was shaking from taking Jungkook inside.
Afterwards, Jungkook fell asleep between them, Jimin’s small body tucked under his arm with his pretty wings folded down against his back, while Taehyung sat up in the bed behind them, watching over them until they were long asleep.
When Jungkook left for a run the next morning, Jimin watched as Taehyung walked over to the large windows on the far side of the bedroom, opening the thick curtains to watch as Jungkook left the estate and took off into the forests that surrounded them. Usually, Jimin just went back to sleep if he got woken up early by either of his lovers, but things were a bit different today–just like they had been yesterday.
“He’ll be back soon,” Jimin yawned as he rubbed a hand over his face, struggling to sit up in bed.
“Mm,” Taehyung grunted, not sounding pleased as he continued to watch out the window, even though Jimin could imagine that Jungkook was long out of eyesight by now, even for Taehyung. “I went out last night looking for hunters,” he said as he looked back at Jimin, who was a lot more awake as he jerked forward, the blankets falling around his naked waist.
“You did what ?!” Jimin cried out.
“That Alpha was attacked by someone , and with the amount of silver poured into him–that would have killed Jungkook,” Taehyung’s voice was brittle as he turned back to face Jimin, letting the curtain fall shut behind him. “But I think the Alpha came into our territory after the fight–I could follow his stink for hours, but no one else–nothing unusual.” Despite that being good news, the vampire didn’t look happy.
“That’s a good thing,” Jimin began to respond and Taehyung just let out an angry huff.
“I don’t like not knowing what’s out there,” he retorted. Jimin breathed out slowly, getting out of bed but his feet never touching the floor, his wings waving behind him and sending him forward, closing the gap between himself and Taehyung. He didn’t particularly like putting his bare feet on any floor, unless it was the fresh Earth outside, especially first thing in the morning when the exposed floors of the manor were so cold.
“We know what’s out there, Taehyungie,” Jimin whispered as he wrapped his arms around Taehyung’s waist. “And so does Jungkookie, he’s smart, he knows he has to be careful.” Taehyung snorted, not sounding amused.
“He’s smart, but that doesn’t mean he’s careful,” he replied and Jimin smiled a little to himself, because that described both of his boys, not just Jungkook, but he didn’t reply, just kissing the back of Taehyung’s neck gently.
For three days, the Alpha was passed out in the guest house, only groaning and twitching a few times but showing no other signs of waking up or being conscious. Jimin drew out more silver from inside him while Jungkook watched on with his expression contorting in empathetic pain as he watched, and they both carefully changed the bandages that were covering his wounds.
Ever since Jungkook had been bitten and changed into a werewolf and the initial wounds that he’d gotten had healed, he’d never been hurt to the point where it hadn’t completely healed in one or two days. Everyone knew that werewolves had accelerated healing, and Jimin and Taehyung had explained things in greater details about the way his body protected and looked after itself, and so watching a bigger, older werewolves body struggle to heal worried him, keeping him almost constantly at the Alpha’s side.
On the third day, in the late afternoon when the sun was streaming through the windows on the far side of the bed, there was finally proper movement. Jungkook was sitting down on a cushion on the floor, tucked in one corner of the room with his knees propped up in front of him with a notepad resting there as he sketched. He was so absorbed in his picture–the vivid image of Taehyung’s burning eyes that he had tried to capture on paper multiple times now–that he didn’t notice as the Alpha’s eyes slowly opened, taking in a deep breath as he looked up at the ceiling.
Or when he looked over to where Jungkook was sitting, with his long hair falling in front of his face.
“Hello, little wolf,” his voice rumbled, rough with disuse, and Jungkook gasped as his head snapped up to look across to the bed.
The Alpha and Jungkook stared at each other for two or three long seconds before suddenly, they weren’t alone in the room anymore. Taehyung appeared so quickly that it took Jungkook’s breath away, even though he should be used to it, and it took a little bit longer, but soon Jimin was there was well, hanging back with a nervous expression on his face as Taehyung positioned himself between Jungkook and the Alpha with a feral expression on his face.
It was good Jimin was there to help mediate things, because Jungkook was completely wordless as he stared past Taehyung at the Alpha who was struggling to sit up in bed, his eyes wide. He didn’t interfere in the conversation–almost interrogation –that happened between Taehyung and the werewolf, even though it was definitely more just threats from Taehyung and an ultimatum that as soon as the Alpha could shift, he had to leave.
The Alpha remained calm throughout the entire thing, which was more than what a lot of others' reactions would be–including probably even Jimin, who was one of the calmest people around. But despite the threats and the anger that was radiating off Taehyung, the Alpha nodded and answered all his questions respectfully.
“Thank you for opening your home to me,” he said quietly when Taehyung finally spat out that he was leaving because he couldn’t stand the smell. Taehyung paused on his way out, and Jungkook saw the flicker of surprise on his face that was hidden from the Alpha before he was disappearing past Jimin, leaving the room in silence. Jimin had been watching the scene with wide eyes, and he looked over at the Alpha, before shifting closer to Jungkook and cupping his cheek in his small hand.
“I’ll go check on him,” Jimin said softly and Jungkook nodded. Jimin looked back at the werewolf on the bed one last time, and they all knew an Alpha werewolf was dangerous, but his wounds were still healing, and he was breathing a bit unsteadily and he didn’t seem like a threat.
Jungkook was incredibly strong, Jimin trusted him to look after himself.
“...I’m Kim Namjoon,” the Alpha introduced himself after silence stretched out for a few long minutes. Jungkook stared at him for a moment before bowing his head forward.
“Jungkook–Jeon Jungkook,” he answered and the Alpha– Kim Namjoon –smiled at him before shifting around slowly on the bed. Jungkook couldn’t help the way his body tensed up slightly as he watched the Alpha closely. Since being changed, he had been around vampires and fairies and witches and hybrids and even a dragon, but Taemin had been the only werewolf, and those times had been brief. Taehyung’s disdain of them went deep, and because of how old he was, and how established he was in the area, it was well known by werewolves not to approach his territory.
Honestly, Jungkook had never been interested in meeting other werewolves, especially since Jimin and Taehyung both knew the answer to pretty much every question he had about himself.
But now there was an Alpha sitting in front of him and there was something dizzyingly delicious about his scent, Jungkook couldn’t help but creep closer.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly and Namjoon shrugged a shoulder before wincing, and Jungkook took another step closer.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “I, uh, I don’t even remember being brought here.”
“You were passed out when I found you,” Jungkook said with a nod, his eyes dipping down to the thick rug on the floor that he’d put beside the bed, where he had been spending a lot of time, just like the corner that caught all the sun.
“Thank you for bringing me here,” Namjoon smiled before looking toward the door. “And to your friends–”
“My pack,” Jungkook corrected with another nod, a firmer one, and he waited for the Alpha’s response because–his pack wasn’t typical. He hadn’t really been around any werewolves, but he knew that werewolves generally kept to themselves, although sometimes taking humans into their pack. A fairy and a vampire though? They were an unusual trio, Jungkook knew that, and he didn’t care, because he loved them with all his heart.
“Your pack,” Namjoon smiled kindly, his scent and heartbeat steady and constant, the same way Jimin’s always was. “Thank you for looking after me.” He looked down at himself, at the clean bandages that had only been changed a few hours before, and winced as he shifted his arm, obviously feeling the pain in his shoulder.
“You–there was a lot of silver,” Jungkook winced as he stepped forward and a hand hovered over Namjoon. “ A lot . Jiminie has been removing it–he didn’t do it all at once because he didn’t want it to be a shock to your wolf.” Namjoon nodded with understanding, although his eyebrows settled in a firm frown as he tried moving again, attempting to push himself up into a seated position, and Jungkook couldn’t help but close the space between them when he noticed the Alpha struggling.
Part of him was nervous as he reached down to wrap an arm behind the werewolf and help him to sit, because he didn’t know much about Alpha’s, but most of what he knew said that they were prideful creatures. Taehyung said they were arrogant and overly-cocky mutts, but Jungkook knew that his vampire was biased against werewolves–especially Taehyung, that was something Jimin always quietly reminded him of. Jimin didn’t have much of an opinion when it came to werewolves or Alpha’s in particular, but he always spoke fondly of Taemin, the Omega he had known since he was a child. Taehyung grumbled whenever he came up, or anything complimentary about werewolves was said, but Jimin just cheerfully spoke over him, ignoring Taehyung.
“Thank you, little wolf,” the Alpha said, and his appreciation was clear in his scent as Jungkook helped him sit and propped a few of the pillows behind him. He made a note to bring some more out from the house–there was a lot , definitely enough to spare Namjoon some. Jungkook couldn’t help but blush at his own sense of pride that came from helping the Alpha, and maybe at the nickname, and he ducked his head to look away.
“Do you remember what happened to you?” He asked to move the conversation along and Namjoon’s frowned deepend before his eyes widened and Jungkook smelt bitterness in his scent.
“There were two Omegas, they were being hunted–was there anyone else where you found me?” He asked, twisting to look at Jungkook even as it made him wince.
“I didn’t find anyone else with you–or anywhere around you, and I went out looking a few times after as well,” Jungkook told him. “I followed your scent as far as I could–you came through the river and I couldn’t pick up your scent on the other side.” Jungkook didn’t add that he wasn’t the best when it came to scent tracking–he really didn’t have much experience with it, and hadn’t had anyone who was able to train him, but he’d done his best. And he really hadn’t been able to pick up Namjoon’s scent as far as he tracked on the other side of the river, he had no idea where he’d fallen in. “Were they your Omegas?” Jungkook asked curiously and Namjoon shook his head.
“No,” he replied. “I don’t–I don’t have a pack,” he answered, and it was his turn to look at Jungkook carefully.
He was a Rogue Alpha–it didn’t need to be Taehyung who had told Jungkook that, that was just something that everyone knew. Rogue Alpha’s couldn’t be trusted, they didn’t have ties to a pack, others to help ground and care for them; werewolves were social creatures and so there had to be something wrong with ones who didn’t belong with anyone .
But Namjoon didn’t seem dangerous.
“I hope they are okay,” Jungkook said quietly and Namjoon’s scent softened, sweet like dripping honey. “I’m glad you’re okay,” he added and Namjoon smiled.
“Thank you, Jungkook-ah,” he repeated his earlier sentiment, and Jungkook bowed his head forward, his blush coming back.
Taehyung was completely uninterested in going into the guest house where Namjoon was, which was probably for the best. Jimin was more tentative than Jungkook, but that didn’t stop him from going in and thoroughly cleaning the Alpha’s wounds. Jimin didn’t say much as he was helping, his wings fluttering a bit quicker than usual, indicating his nervousness, and Jungkook could smell it coming off him–which meant the Alpha definitely could–but Namjoon didn’t say anything. He was quiet and respectful and he thanked Jimin before the fairy left, and Jimin gave him a quick smile before kissing Jungkook and leaving the room, lingering in the doorway as he went, watching as Jungkook settled on the floor beside the Alpha and began speaking with him.
“He’s still in there?” Taehyung asked, and Jimin almost jumped, his head whipping to the side to where Taehyung had appeared out of thin air, watching as Jimin sliced up fruit in their kitchen. Jimin scowled briefly, because it didn’t matter how many years he spent with Taehyung, and how attuned his senses were, if Taehyung was in his mood to sulk and float silently around the house with a pout, Jimin couldn’t sense him coming. Even Jungkook couldn’t all of the time, and Jungkook’s hearing and sense of smell was incredible.
“He’s keeping Namjoon company,” Jimin answered as he turned back to what he was doing. “Jungkookie likes being around people, you know that.” He was purposefully keeping his voice down, because if Jungkook tried, he could hear what they were saying from outside the property lines, and so he wouldn’t be surprised if Namjoon–an Alpha–would be able to hear them easily from the building right next door.
“Namjoon,” Taehyung bit the name out, sounding as though it burned his tongue like silver. Jimin shot him a look, his wings flickering before snapping together behind his back in annoyance, not responding. Taehyung was quiet before exhaling in exasperation through his nose–which was clearly an attempt to get Jimin’s attention, because it wasn’t as though he needed to breathe. Jimin continued to look away, finishing his bowl of fruit and turning to leave the room, purposefully to brush past Taehyung. He’d almost reached the door before Taehyung was suddenly behind him, his hand wrapped around Jimin’s forearm, cool against him. “I don’t like him here–I don’t like him alone with Jungkookie.” His voice was firm, but Jimin felt the way his fingers trembled ever so slightly, dimpling his skin.
“He’s not strong enough to hurt him,” Jimin said.
“ Yet ,” Taehyung interjected and Jimin pursed his lips together and sighed.
Taehyung’s hatred for werewolves was something that they had clashed over in the past. Ultimately, Jimin respected Taehyung’s history and trauma, and the pain he had gone through at such a young age, and it hadn’t been until Jungkook that he had ever vehemently gone against him. Jimin and Taehyung had been together for a long time–nowhere near as long as Taehyung had been alive, of course, but fairies still aged slowly, and lived a long time, similar to werewolves. In the early years; Taehyung still had nightmares. Jimin would wake up to Taehyung screaming, his fangs and claws sharp and his eyes shining blood-red, and it was terrifying.
But Jungkook hadn’t been the one who had torn his family apart, and neither had Namjoon.
Jimin didn’t like to fight, not with Taehyung, not with Jungkook, not with anyone , it wasn’t in his nature as a fairy, as an individual –he wanted everyone to be happy, and healthy, especially the ones he loved the most. But he had seen the way that his lovely boy had been looking at the Alpha…And he wasn’t sure Jungkook was going to accept Namjoon just disappearing in the next few days.
Taehyung was all over Jungkook, almost from the second he stepped into the house. He sniffed unhappily and complained Jungkook smelt like a nasty canine, this ire obviously directed at Namjoon, which didn’t go unnoticed by Jimin, but Jungkook seemed too happy to care. He reassured Taehyung he would take a bath, leaning in to kiss his cheeks and nuzzle his nose against Taehyung’s cheek in a habit he had sometimes, before he was ducking away, skipping happily.
Once he came downstairs for dinner, Taehyung gathered him in close, insisting that he sit in the vampires lap when they had dinner. Or at least, Jimin and Jungkook had dinner, Taehyung’s eyes were just fixed on the curve of Jungkook’s neck. Jungkook chattered happily about Namjoon–about how he enjoyed art as well, about how usually he healed so much quicker but there must been something in the silver, about how he loved walking through rivers on a full moon–and Jimin participated just as happily, glad to see Jungkook so cheerful. Not that he wasn’t usually , but there was a new glow in his eyes as he spoke about the Alpha, and even though Jimin felt a twinge of something painful that he couldn’t quite identify–something that felt closer to sadness than anything like jealousy–he was mainly just happy for Jungkook.
And a bit worried about Taehyung.
Jungkook’s attention completely shifted after dinner though, when Taehyung purposefully put a hand high up on Jungkook’s thigh, and then hauled him directly into his lap when they moved into the lounge and stretched out on the couches. Jungkook’s eyes widened in surprise briefly before he was melting back against Taehyung, and Jimin watched with a small smile on his face as he curled up in his armchair. He was half-heartedly knitting–with enchanted wool that he’d gotten from one of his best friends, Cha Eunwoo–but his main focus was on his lovers, and the way Taehyung was kissing the back of Jungkook’s neck.
It had been a while since Taehyung had drunk from either of them. He’d bitten both of them within the past few weeks, but Taehyung was old, he didn’t need to actually drink blood often. But with the way he was looking at Jungkook now, and with how possessive he had obviously been feeling–Jimin wasn’t surprised as he saw Taehyung’s eyes flickering red.
“Come here, Jiminie,” Taehyung growled out not long later, and Jimin’s wings instantly flicked together, lifting him up from his chair and bringing him closer to Taehyung and Jungkook. Taehyung was strong, easily picking both of them, one in each arm, curling them in close so that they were all pressed together, and Jungkook made a happy sound, wriggling around before shoving his face in Taehyung’s neck. Taehyung didn’t even flinch, tilting his head to the side to let Jungkook nuzzle in even closer, while turning his face towards Jimin, who eagerly leaned in for a wet kiss.
It had taken Taehyung a while to be so comfortable with Jungkook at his throat. The throat was such a vulnerable place for any being, but especially when it came to vampires and werewolves–it was so important, but meant different things. When Taehyung wanted their throats, it was them trusting him to feed, to drink from their life source. When Jungkook got close to their throats, it was because he wanted comfort, and safety, and love. Taehyung still jerked a little when Jimin brushed against his throat, but when it was Jungkook, their baby? Once Taehyung had acclimated, once they had both figured out their dynamic, Taehyung had never shied away from allowing Jungkook to follow his nose toward the vampires neck, even if he sometimes grumbled.
“Can I drink from you, baby?” Taehyung asked after a while and Jungkook eagerly whined, rubbing his nose against Taehyung’s neck, lifting to nuzzle at his cheek.
“ Please , Taehyungie,” Jungkook mumbled sweetly and Jimin’s breath caught as he watched the two of them, so beautiful as their mouths came together in a messy kiss. He didn’t mind as he adjusted to give them room, both of Taehyung’s hands moving to grope at Jungkook, his ass, his thighs, sliding up his back under his thin cotton shirt, grabbing at his hair–Jimin curled against Taehyung’s side and happily watched. He was hard, but he would be well taken care of in time, he knew that, and instead he watched as Taehyung’s fingers sunk into Jungkook’s long hair and tightened, tugging his head back so that his throat was exposed. Jungkook shivered as he pliantly let his head fall back, and his eyes happily and trustingly slipped closed, giving himself over to Taehyung.
Taehyung’s eyes glowed red–bright, blood red, before his fangs were extending, leaning in and sinking them into Jungkook’s golden skin. Jungkook’s eyelids flickered and his body tensed for a brief moment before the poison coating Taehyung’s fangs spread and stopped any pain, only letting the pleasure roll through Jungkook’s body, and then he fell completely limp again.
Taehyung drank more than usual, and Jungkook was starting to writhe and roll his hips forward and curl his fingers weekly into Taehyung’s shoulders, and Jimin reached over to help, rubbing at where Jungkook was hard.
“ Ngggghhh ,” Jungkook breathed out shakily and Jimin tucked his knees underneath him, wings fluttering happily behind him as he reached up to brush a kiss against Jungkook’s cheek. Taehyung was making a low, growling noise under his breath, it was a possessive sound that Jimin didn’t hear often, and he knew that it was because of the Alpha werewolf that was currently on their property. Jungkook appeared completely unbothered by it, always so happy and to give himself over to his lovers, and when Taehyung eventually pulled away, it took Jungkook a while before he opened his eyes. Taehyung held the werewolf carefully–Jimin was glad, already noting that he was going to get Jungkook some fruit to eat before they slept to get his blood sugar back up.
“Thank you, puppy,” Taehyung’s voice was rough, holding Jungkook close against him, Jimin leaning in to do the same, surrounding their baby.
Taehyung carried Jungkook up to their main room– technically Taehyung’s–Jimin flying ahead to get a few things ready for them, and when Jungkook laid out on the bed and splayed out his limbs and looked at his hyungs eagerly through blurry eyes. Jimin opened Jungkook up quickly and carefully while Taehyung helped do the same to him, making Jimin shiver and rut against Jungkook’s thick thigh.
“Jiminie,” Jungkook sighed out as Taehyung helped Jimin lower onto Jungkook’s cock, sliding inside Jimin’s inviting warmth, but his body didn’t jerk the way it usually did, completely relaxed from Taehyung’s feeding.
“My sweet puppy,” Jimin exhaled shakily, leaned forward to kiss Jungkook’s mouth, exchanging breaths as they adjusted to one another as Jimin felt Taehyung’s hand slide down his back, squeezing at his ass a few times. He pulled Jimin’s cheeks further apart so that he could see where Jungkook was sliding inside their pretty fairy, eyes fixated. “Taehyungie–”
“You okay, angel?” Taehyung rumbled out and Jimin shivered again, swallowing hard before forcing himself to nod and relax. The warm oil they used made the slide easy, still sticky on his own fingers from where he’d been opening up Jungkook. Taehyung checked in with Jungkook as well, before he encouraged Jimin down again, more gentle than usual, but the grip that Taehyung had on Jimin and Jungkook was strong .
One hand was gripping Jungkook’s thigh, and the other was holding onto Jimin’s hip, holding both of them, controlling both of them, and his grip was strong, bruising. The marks would be gone in a day from Jungkook’s skin with his healing, but Jimin’s pale skin would hold Taehyung’s marks for days.
Taehyung was clearly feeling possessive, but both his lovers adored it, submitting easily and happily to him.
Jungkook came first, and Jimin shuffled further up his chest to clumsily press his cock between Jungkook’s lips, and Jungkook was sloppy with how eagerly he took Jimin in, licking at Jimin’s cock while moaning as Taehyung gripped his tiny body and manhandled him until he was in the position he wanted. Then he fucked hard into Jimin’s ass, already nice and open from Jungkook’s cock, his fingers digging into Jimin’s pale hips. When Taehyung came, he pulled out of Jimin, spraying across Jimin’s ass and Jungkook’s stomach, and purposefully rubbing it in with his fingers after.
Jungkook laid there happily afterward–werewolves adored being covered in the scent of the ones they loved–and he was practically preening under his lover's attention as they cleaned things up. Jimin disappeared to get Jungkook some oranges and both of them something to drink, and Taehyung got Jungkook under the blankets, his arms wrapping around the young werewolf. Jungkook curled into him, pressing his face into Taehyung’s throat, and Taehyung held him tighter than usual.
He couldn’t help it.
It wasn’t often that people stayed with them–there were only a few people they trusted and they were all people that they had known for years –that Taehyung allowed to stay on their property, and even then, he couldn’t help but always feel slightly on edge, unable to stop himself from watching out for his lovers. Other people–they would make trips to see them , rather than allowing them into their home. Taehyung couldn’t help it, the way he got nervous–losing his entire coven inside their family home had inflicted a deep trauma that still hadn’t healed after the hundreds of years that had passed.
And now there was an Alpha werewolf– an Alpha . The exact kind of creature who had slaughtered his entire family, a leader of a pack that only looked out for their own, and felt nothing for anyone else, felt no care for defenceless children . And that Alpha was in his territory , and was being cared for by his lovers and it was making him feel dizzy.
And Jungkook…
Something about the Alpha drew Jungkook in.
It had only been a few days, but when Jungkook had come into their lives, it had been less than twenty-four hours before Taehyung and Jimin had known that he was there to stay. Taehyung had been hesitant to bring him into their home but almost instantly, he had caved.
So he believed that people could fall in love quickly, and completely.
And that terrified him.
“Are you okay?” Jimin asked softly from the doorway, holding a bowl with fruit inside, and Taehyung looked up from where he had been staring down at Jungkook. He blinked, composing his facial expression as he nodded across at Jimin.
“Let’s feed him before he goes to sleep,” Taehyung said and Jimin didn’t look particularly happy with the answer, but he didn’t push him. Jungkook sleepily opened his eyes as Jimin pressed slices of oranges into his mouth, encouraging him to finish the whole orange and have a few sips of water.
“I love you,” Jungkook mumbled sleepily as he snuggled down between the two of them.
“I love you,” Jimin responded softly with a smile, looking up at Taehyung, who reached across to kiss Jimin before leaning down to brush his lips against Jungkook’s forehead.
“I love you more,” he told them firmly.
Jungkook was quieter than usual when he joined Namjoon the next morning, a dazed expression on his face, settling happily on a cushion on the floor after shyly offering Namjoon some paper and a variety of drawing items. He’d seen the interest on Namjoon’s face when Jungkook had been sketching while talking to Namjoon yesterday, and he’d offered to bring some over today. The previous few days, he had been filled with questions, but today they mostly drew in silence, Namjoon glancing over at him often, watching as the younger werewolf touched the side of his neck, fingers tracing over two small marks.
Bite marks.
Even with supernatural werewolf healing, a vampires bite took a few days to heal.
Namjoon already knew they were together–he had assumed their intimacy and he had heard a few muffled things, even from the guest house. He had also wondered if Taehyung drank from Jungkook, and clearly he now had the answer. He could also smell Taehyung strongly all over Jungkook, as though he had bathed the puppy in his cum, with sweet Jimin’s mixed in, and it was clear he was marking his territory in a way that an Alpha werewolf would understand.
Not that Namjoon didn’t already understand, not with how fiercely Taehyung had protected the other two on his first day, and the way that Jungkook spoke of the vampire.
“That’s so pretty,” Jungkook spoke up, having crawled across to kneel beside the bed where Namjoon was. Namjoon wanted to ask him to sit on the bed, but Jungkook seemed happy on the cushion, legs tucked up close as he drew, and he didn’t want to overstep.
He also wasn’t sure how he would handle it today in particular, with how strongly Jungkook smelt.
But crouched beneath him, he smelt heavenly.
“Thank you, little wolf,” Namjoon smiled gently at him and he both smelt the happiness in Jungkook’s scent and saw the blush on the pretty werewolves cheeks. Jungkook looked as though he was about to crawl back to his corner when they both heard the door of the guest house opening, and they knew it was Jimin. The fairy appeared a moment later, holding a basket with fresh bread and fruit and some water, smiling at both of them.
“Oh, you’re good!” Jimin’s eyes widened as he looked down at Namjoon’s picture, shaking his head before pouting, his lower lip sticking out adorably. “ Everyone here is good at art except for me!” Jungkook laughed loudly, getting to his feet as he wrapped his arms around Jimin from behind, carefully tucking himself between the fairy’s wings, expertly navigating them, while Namjoon smiled up at them.
“Taehyung also sketches with you?” He asked, hoping to find out anything that they were willing to offer up about the vampire who he hadn’t seen in person since the first day he’d woken up. He understood the hesitance, but he didn’t quite understand the vitriol that had been rolling off the handsome man, and he hadn’t wanted to ask Jungkook about it. He didn’t want to taint the short time that they had together, because it was clear that once he was healed, he would need to be on his way, and he liked Jungkook and Jimin.
Nothing was going to happen, he respected the relationship of the people who had taken him in and cared for him, but he still wanted to enjoy the time he had with them.
It would keep him warm once he was alone again.
“Taehyungie paints,” Jungkook gushed, a warm tone to his voice, the way it always got when speaking of Jimin or Taehyung. “He’s so good, we have lots of his artworks on the walls!” Jimin smiled, leaning back against Jungkook, the tips of his pearlescent wings flickering, so beautiful where they reached just above Jungkook’s head.
“We have lots of yours too, puppy,” he commented, clearly over his brief upset.
“Yeah, but they’re not as good as Taehyungie’s,” Jungkook replied, not sounding upset by that at all. Namjoon just watched them interact with a smile before Jimin’s attention shifted to Namjoon.
“I just want to check your arm,” Jimin said quietly, Jungkook’s arms falling and letting Jimin move forward. The werewolf seemed to get easily distracted by food, something Namjoon had noticed previously, and out of the corner of his eye, Namjoon watched as Jungkook put some lettuce and cheese and meat between the fresh bread that smelt incredible , before he focused on Jimin. “I don’t think I can feel any more silver…” Jimin murmured, his hands hovering over Namjoon’s skin, and Namjoon could feel the slight buzz of his magic. “Can you feel any?” Jimin asked as he lifted his head to look at Namjoon, and Namjoon watched as his pillowy-pink lips pursed open for a moment, as though he hadn’t realized just how close he was to the Alpha, and Namjoon easily smelt the sugary scent of Jimin’s embarrassment as he jerked his head back a bit.
“No, I can’t,” Namjoon answered honestly, because Jimin had been doing a thorough job trying to withdraw all the silver from his body, and ever since yesterday, he had found that he was healing a lot faster, and he was able to sleep a lot more comfortably. If he really, really needed to, he had a feeling he would be able to shift into his wolf form. It would be painful, and he would probably tear at his shoulder again, but he would be able to do it, and he wouldn’t have had that chance if Jimin hadn’t been taking such good care of him. “Thank you, Jimin-ssi,” he said quietly and Jimin’s eyes widened, swallowing hard as his eyes met Namjoon’s before he was nodding, dipping his head in a nod before straightening up.
“You, um–” Jimin was flustered, even though he was good at covering it up, turning to look toward where Jungkook was eating and watching them. “Make sure you both eat. I’ll be back to get the basket,” he said as he stepped back, reaching out to touch Jungkook’s cheek briefly. “There’s a potion in there with iron supplements, make sure you drink it.”
“Those taste bad,” Jungkook’s nose wrinkled adorably, in a way that made Namjoon smile softly, especially when Jimin cooed, cupping Jungkook’s face again before leaning in for a kiss.
“Then you should have it before you finish your food, so you can get the taste out of your mouth after. It’s not my fault that you and Taehyungie get a little out of control,” Jimin teased him playfully, clearly a conversation they’d had many times before. Jungkook was still pouting but he didn’t complain, and Jimin kissed him again before he was glancing toward Namjoon, his smile still soft, but nowhere near as soft as the one that he directed at Jungkook.
“There’s a numbing potion in there as well, for if you feel any pain,” he told Namjoon, who smiled appreciatively. Jimin had already brought him a potion that morning, fussing over Namjoon, small fingers pressing against his cheek and his arm and injured shoulder, and Jungkook had hovered over them, similar to how he was now.
“Thank you, Jimin-ssi,” Namjoon said quietly, and he was lucky enough to see another pretty blush on Jimin’s cheeks, before the fairy fluttered away.
Time usually passed differently for Taehyung compared to others, especially Jungkook, because of how long he had been alive. The Alpha werewolf had been on their property for no more than a week, eight days–Taehyung could easily stay awake and not be required to feed for a normal eight days–but these past eight days? Watching as Jungkook very clearly became smitten by an Alpha werewolf, and as Jimin obviously found the man charming as well–despite how he was trying to hide that from Taehyung.
It burned under his skin.
It was an irritation he couldn’t ignore.
He knew he was being irrational, and in the centuries that had passed since his family had been ripped apart in front of him by a pack of werewolves, there had been times when his rage had lessened, and times when it had burned so hot he couldn’t see straight.
When Jungkook had come along...Jimin had insisted that Jungkook stay with them, and Taehyung found it impossible to say no to anything that Jimin wanted. He hadn’t expected to fall for Jungkook, especially so quickly. He hadn’t expected to become so attached–he had thought he had found the only person he would ever want when he had found Jimin, which was saying a lot for a vampire . But Jungkook was so easily able to crawl over the walls that surrounded Taehyung’s heart, that he’d allowed Jungkook in, but had then extended those walls, building them back up behind him, keeping everyone else out– especially any other werewolves.
Jungkook was the exception; he didn’t change Taehyung’s mind.
Jimin had picked up on the tension but Jungkook seemed oblivious, even when Taehyung’s words had been becoming sharper and his mood had been taking an obvious downward turn. It wasn’t until one morning when Jungkook had slipped out of their bed early, skipping down the stairs with the obvious intent of leaving the main house–like he had every morning for the past week, and that seemed to be the thing that finally pushed Taehyung over the edge. Jungkook came back inside to change after getting himself something to eat, and that was when Jimin woke up, his head resting on Taehyung’s shoulder.
“Stay in bed with us,” Taehyung’s voice didn’t hold the type of sharpness it got when he was giving an order–which mostly came out when they were in bed together–but Jimin could hear the strain, and he could the slight tremble the rippled over his body. He was very purposefully trying to keep his voice light, and Jungkook missed that as he was pulling a jacket on.
“I’ll come back in later, hyung!” Jungkook called back easily and Jimin bit back his sigh as he felt Taehyung tense.
“You’ve gone out to see him every morning recently–stay in bed with us,” Taehyung repeated, firmer this time, and Jungkook slowed down, finally picking up on the tension in the room.
“Taehyungie…” Jimin began quietly, but Taehyung was already sitting up, his eyes focused on Jungkook.
“His name is Namjoon,” Jungkook replied quietly after a beat passed and Jimin gritted his teeth together as he felt Taehyung go completely still.
“Don’t get attached–he should have already left,” he stated a moment later, ignoring Jungkook’s comment.
“Maybe he’s not going to stay, but that doesn’t mean I won’t see him again,” Jungkook said tentatively, but just the fact that he was pushing back–even hesitantly–made it clear that this was important to him.
Namjoon was important to him.
“I think we should get washed up and talk about this downstairs,” Jimin began, slipping out of bed, his wings fluttering lightly to keep him above the cold floor as he moved closer to Jungkook, wishing both his boys were close enough for him to touch them at once.
“I don’t want him here, Jungkook-ah, simple as that,” Taehyung’s voice was still quiet, but he was clearly getting annoyed. His temper had been rising a lot quicker in the past week, and both Jimin and Jungkook could feel the way his aura was darkening, becoming heavier around them. Jimin glanced to the side, but even though Jungkook’s nose was twitching, clearly picking up on upset scents, he didn’t back down, standing firmly in front of the vampire.
“No, not simple as that,” Jungkook snapped in response. “ I like him. I want him here. Jiminie does too.” Taehyung’s eyes snapped to Jimin who didn’t reply, pursing his lips together and focussing on Jungkook.
“You know I don’t trust werewolves, Jungkook-ah,” Taehyung replied tersely. “I don’t want him here.”
“ I’m a werewolf and you took me in!” Jungkook protested and Jimin winced as Taehyung lurched forward, his face shoving in front of Jungkook’s.
“Guys,” he began, rolling his head on his shoulders, his wings flickering behind him, his skin feeling sensitive from the anger and rising voices.
“You were a puppy barely able to tell your teeth from your toes, you would have been easy to kill if you turned on us,” Taehyung hissed back. Jimin could see the hurt on Jungkook’s face at that comment, which Taehyung could too, but he didn’t react to it. Jungkook knew of Taehyung’s history with werewolves, he also knew of Taehyung’s initial hesitation with him, but it was never nice to hear, especially after all these years together, loving each other. “ He’s an Alpha . He could kill you or Jiminie. I’m not risking that.”
“He’s not going to kill us!” Jungkook cried. “Why can’t you see—”
“I said no , Jungkook-ah!” Taehyung’s voice suddenly boomed, and Jimin took a shaky step forward, not sure if he should touch either of them, his iridescent wings beginning to flutter behind him in agitation. “If you want to turn your back on us to be some bastard Alpha’s Omega, then you do that, but once he is better, he is leaving !” Every word that Taehyung said was clear and succinct, and none of them doubted that Namjoon could hear every single thing that was being said if he was awake. Probably even if he wasn’t awake. But Jimin couldn’t worry about that right now, not with what Taehyung had just said, or the way that Jungkook was staggering backwards as though he had felt the impact of the words hit him directly in the chest.
“Koo,” Jimin whispered as he took a step in his direction, but Jungkook’s eyes were glued to Taehyung, his nose twitching and his eyes glossy with the sudden rush of tears.
“I have never …I’ve never been disloyal to you. Not ever,” Jungkook’s words were shaky but clear, and Taehyung’s expression faltered, his fingers twitching at his sides as though realizing what he had just said.
“Jungkook-ah—”
The werewolf had left the room before Taehyung had even finished saying his name.
Jungkook spent the day away from their territory.
That wasn’t common–even though he didn’t have to stick around, that was still what he generally did. He would go out for a run in the mornings, or sometimes in the evenings, and there would be times when he and Taehyung would race together, but usually he stayed close to home.
He didn’t today, he spent the whole day away from the main house and the guest house. He didn’t want to see Taehyung, and it felt wrong to go to Namjoon–as though he was seeking comfort from someone else after quarrelling with his lover, and he hated that. It wasn’t as though they fought often–sometimes there were disagreements, but it wasn’t like this . It didn’t hurt like this–it hadn’t felt this way since they had first gotten together and things were so confusing as he had tried to piece together his feelings for two different people.
He had been raised human–with a mother and father and two brothers–who lived a usual human existence. They kept their distance from anyone supernatural and magical, and after Jungkook had been forcibly changed, they threw him out. That was where Taehyung and Jimin had come in, they had saved him, and he loved them. They meant everything to him. They taught him about himself, and about his other half now as a werewolf, and about the world, and about love , and it was because of them that he hadn’t tried to squash down the fascination that he’d had with the Alpha. He knew that Taehyung didn’t like Namjoon–didn’t like any werewolf that came across their path–but he couldn’t help it, and he didn’t try to.
And Taehyung was wrong , he didn’t want to leave them and be Namjoon’s Omega.
He was their Omega, whether that’s how they viewed him or not–they were his pack, and he viewed both Taehyung and Jimin as above him in their pack, as trusted loved ones that were older than him and always wanted the best for him–and he generally deferred to their judgement with things. He liked them taking the lead–that was in and outside of the bedroom–it made him feel comfortable, it made him flourish –he liked the person he was with them.
But Namjoon…There were parts inside of him that felt like they were being called to Namjoon–which was exactly how he had felt when he had met Taehyung and Jimin. Part of him felt as though he had known them forever, and that he was meant to be with them forever, and it had been easy to open his heart to them. He hadn’t expected to feel that way about anyone else, but from the moment he’d found Namjoon, bloodied and bruised, there had been a pull in his chest. And then after they had gotten closer, once he’d woken up and they’d begun talking…
And it wasn’t just the way Namjoon was with him . It was the softness and appreciation that he showed toward Jimin, and it was the respect that he showed toward Taehyung when the vampire that was spoken about.
Jungkook ran for a long time, and his feet were hurting by the time he turned back in the direction of the manor. They were in the middle of the forest, surrounded by hills and valleys and a long winding river, which Jungkook had been following. In two directions, it was easy to reach other people within an hour, quicker if Jungkook was running. There were a few small townships nearby–Jimin had a few fae he was friends with who didn’t live far, and Jungkook thought they were nice. Taehyung had connections that were far more widespread, vampires and a witch that he had been friends with for centuries, and Jungkook liked them. There was a hybrid couple–Choi Soobin and Choi Yeonjun–that Jungkook met semi-regularly who lived in one of the nearby townships at the markets, and he always enjoyed that.
But…He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t always been curious about other werewolves , and occasionally, maybe Alphas . He couldn’t help it, and he had talked about it with Jimin sometimes, and Jimin had always answered any question he had but…Jungkook couldn’t help his curiosity.
So maybe he was fascinated by Namjoon because he was a werewolf, and an Alpha, but also…Namjoon was really funny, and a good listener, and so smart, and really, really handsome . It wasn’t just because he was a werewolf that Jungkook felt a crush blooming inside his chest. It felt like more than that, like it could very quickly become more than that but it was too soon, and–and he had to talk about it with Taehyung and Jimin.
But it seemed like that wasn’t going to happen.
His tears dried before he got back to the manor, and he went directly to the room on the first floor at the back, which was technically his room but that he used more as an art room. He couldn’t remember the last time he had actually slept in here, usually spending the night in Taehyung’s room with both his lovers, or in Jimin’s when Taehyung wasn’t staying in bed with them.
Tonight, Jungkook decided to sleep alone, even if it meant he curled up in a ball and surrounded himself with as many blankets and pillows he could get his hands on, pouting as he tried to warm himself.
“Jungkookie? Puppy?” Jimin was quiet as he tapped his knuckles on the closed door of Jungkook’s room. His feet were firmly on the cold floors, which made his toes curl unpleasantly, and his wings were curved downward, sadly wilting as he waited for a response from their youngest lover.
He heard movement almost immediately, which had him perking up, and a moment later, Jungkook opened the door, looking all mussed up and sleepy, which would make sense since it was so early it was still dark outside. Jimin couldn’t help it, as soon as he had woken up that morning, he was slipping out of his bed and running downstairs to where he hoped Jungkook was. Thankfully, he was right, and Jungkook gave him a small smile before stepping aside to let Jimin into the room. Jimin instantly gravitated toward Jungkook’s bed, which was strewn with blankets and pillows, and it looked as though Jungkook’s sleep had been as broken as Jimin’s.
They didn’t speak, Jimin climbing into Jungkook’s bed and Jungkook following after him, curling himself around Jimin, his overgrown, protective puppy, and Jimin tried to stay awake, in case Jungkook wanted to talk, but he couldn’t help but fall asleep almost immediately.
When Jimin woke up, it was clear that Jungkook was already awake, and that certain parts of him were excited as Jungkook’s hips rocked gently against Jimin’s ass. Jimin rolled over slowly, lifting his hand to push away the long hair that was falling in front of his face.
“I love you, Jungkookie,” Jimin said softly, not wanting to disturb the quiet little bubble they had in Jungkook’s nest, the warm, morning sun shining across them through the window.
“I love you, Jiminie,” Jungkook responded without hesitation as he leaned in to press his mouth against Jimin’s. Jimin instantly responded, pushing back against Jungkook as he wriggled closer, winding his arms around Jungkook’s neck and eagerly inviting Jungkook’s tongue into his mouth. Jungkook’s arms were so thick and strong but he always held them so carefully, and Jimin loved how small Jungkook made him feel. Jungkook pulled back, ducking his head forward to nuzzle his nose against Jimin’s cheek, inhaling deeply, before licking over Jungkook’s lips and that made Jimin laugh and pull back, only to lean back in for a proper kiss.
Jungkook rolled Jimin on top of him, his pearly-pink wings fluttering happily behind him as Jimin made himself comfortable straddling Jungkook and grinding down, against where he was hard. Jungkook huffed out short breaths as his hips bucked upwards, both of them stripping out of their clothes until they were in the same position but naked, rubbing against each other as Jungkook groped at Jimin’s ass and Jimin practically drooled over the way Jungkook’s pecs pressed together.
“Jiminie…Pretty Jiminie…” Jungkook grunted out and Jimin’s body slumped forward, collapsing down against Jungkook and letting him take over, setting the pace of their bodies rolling together until their movements started getting jerky. “Baby, let me…” the werewolf managed to work a hand between their bodies and awkwardly wrap it around both of their cocks. Jimin refused to move back enough for him to do it properly, he just wanted to be close to Jungkook after not seeing him all day yesterday or sleeping next to him, and their kisses got messy the closer they got until Jimin shuddered and became boneless, mouthing at Jungkook’s neck as his boy panted beneath him.
It was nice, one of Jimin’s favourite things, enjoying the afterglow of an orgasm with his lovers–preferably together, but moments when it was just one-on-one were also special–his relationship with each of them was so important. He had been together with Taehyung for longer, but he loved both of them as fiercely as each other.
Which meant seeing them fight made his heart break.
“Puppy?” Jimin began quietly, chewing on his lower lip nervously for a moment before looking up at Jungkook. “You and Taehyungie…I think you should talk.”
“I don’t really think there’s anything to talk about,” Jungkook’s face started closing down, almost immediately, and Jimin rushed to speak, trying to stop that sweet, peaceful look that had been on Jungkook’s face from disappearing.
“I know that Taehyung was angry–”
“There’s no point in talking, you know he won’t change his mind,” Jungkook responded. “He hates a part of me,” the bitterness in his voice made Jimin’s blood run cold.
“No– no , he doesn’t,” Jimin winced even as he was saying it, remembering Taehyung’s callous words yesterday. “I–I know he’s holding onto a lot of anger, and I know he has said things that he needs to apologize for, but–”
“You’re siding with him,” Jungkook sighed, not pulling immediately away from Jimin, but Jimin could definitely feel him withdrawing. Usually Jungkook was incredibly clingy; werewolves were pack animals, they loved being surrounded by the ones they viewed as their own, and especially after sex, he usually got clingier than usual. Jimin loved it, he loved the warmth that surrounded him when he and Jungkook were in bed together, especially when all three of them were together, but now he could feel Jungkook retreating into himself.
“Puppy, no , I’m not—”
“You are,” Jungkook didn’t sound angry, but he did sound resigned, and then he did physically pull away, rolling to the side of the bed and straightening up. Jimin felt the cold instantly, his wings fluttering behind him, curling forward around his shoulders.
“I don’t—”
“You do,” Jungkook interrupted, and he was already standing and pulling on a pair of loose sweatpants, not looking back at Jimin who had shuffled to the edge of the bed, pulling the blankets over his lap. “You always do. Whenever it comes down to something, you side with Taehyung, just like Taehyung sides with you.” The cold around Jimin felt icy now, his eyes widening as he stared up at his werewolf, who was holding himself tall but his shoulders were so clearly weighed down. He didn’t look like the literal puppy he usually turned into after an orgasm, content and wagging his metaphorical tail.
“Jungkookie, I…” Jimin didn’t know what to say. He didn’t see it that way, but then it wouldn’t be fair of him to say that, because of course he didn’t see it that way. He wasn’t sure what Jungkook saw, if what he was saying now was biased because of his own stubbornness, or because of the hurt he was feeling after his argument with Taehyung, or if he was right.
“It’s fine, Jimin-ssi,” Jungkook pulled on a hoodie and started toward the door. “I’ll be fine.” Jimin watched him go, the door shutting quietly behind him, and his forehead wrinkled, his lips pressing out in a pout.
He hated this.
Both he and Taehyung had heard when Jungkook had come in last night–so much later than he would usually come inside. It was dark, and it was after dinner, and Jungkook had never missed dinner before, not ever. They had both been tense, where they were both sitting in the lounge, even though it was much, much later than Jimin would usually stay awake, neither of them even pretending to read or talk. They’d gone tense when Jungkook came in, and Jimin had looked toward Taehyung, but Taehyung was still staring forward, unblinking and unmoving other than the slight clench of his jaw.
And then Jungkook had made his way down to the back of the manor, toward his room, without any hesitation.
Taehyung’s shoulders had slumped before he disappeared from the room, leaving Jimin alone.
He couldn’t remember the last time that he had slept alone, and he still chose to sleep in Taehyung’s bed, where they would usually sleep. It wasn’t very often that he and Jungkook chose to sleep in his own room, but when they did; it was still with Jungkook.
It was cold sleeping alone, and the day was also cold, Taehyung had barely said a word and Jimin rattled between anger, frustration and sadness. Jimin hadn’t really spoken either, mainly because he didn’t want to snap at Taehyung–he knew that wouldn’t get them anywhere, especially when his own feelings were so up in the air.
Namjoon was….Namjoon was lovely.
Jimin could understand why Jungkook was attracted to him. He hadn’t spent as much time with Alpha, knowing that if both he and Jungkook were spending their full days with the werewolf that Taehyung would have blown up even earlier. But the times that he was with Namjoon…Jimin had already admitted to himself that the Alpha was attractive, when he had been laid out and unconscious, but once he had woken up and spoke in his rough, low voice, and had clearly been so gentle , Jimin could admit that there was more to the Alpha than just his attractive face.
Most of his thoughts had been on keeping things in their home pleasant–that was what he liked to do, he liked it when his lovers were happy, when things were peaceful, when he could fill the house with flowers and smiles. He liked when their hearts were full and they were in love, and he knew it wasn’t realistic to expect that all the time, but the three of them were happy together, and they barely ever fought, and…
Maybe that was the problem?
Maybe there were things that he and Taehyung missed with Jungkook, because their puppy had moulded himself so well to fit into their world, things that he still wanted–that he needed and he just hadn’t vocalized that to Jimin or Taehyung.
Or, maybe he had, but they hadn’t heard him.
Taehyung was nowhere in the manor, and Jungkook was gone again, and Jimin spent longer than usual preparing Namjoon’s breakfast before trudging out to the guest house. It wasn’t often he walked on anything other than thick carpets and rugs or lush grass, but today he was wearing a heavy pair of boots and walking across the pebbles toward where the Alpha was staying. The smile that Namjoon gave him when he stepped into the room had his wings rippling happily for the first time in hours.
“Thank you, Jimin-ssi,” Namjoon’s voice was rough and low, and Jimin felt the vibrations to his core, and his cheeks heated up. He really liked Namjoon’s voice, he really liked how powerful but caring it was, and he liked a lot of other things about Namjoon as well. He didn’t feel as strongly about him as Jungkook did, but he didn’t have a strong bias against him, like Taehyung did. He knew that he would miss him when he eventually had to leave, and he wasn’t eager for that to happen.
“Of course,” Jimin smiled up at him and Namjoon met his eyes warmly.
“I mean it, thank you,” he repeated it, and there was such sincerity in his voice that it made Jimin’s wings begin to rise away from his back in happiness before he managed to flatten them back down again. “I’ve been lucky to have you looking after me.” Jimin couldn’t keep looking at the Alpha, exhaling heavily as he looked down at his lap, at the mixture of herbs and leafy greens he had mixed together, and he shrugged a shoulder.
“I’m good at healing,” he replied quietly. He didn’t have a lot of magic, and what he had wasn’t strong , but he was instinctively good when it came to things like salves and ointments and knowing how to find the source of someones pain.
“Your pack is lucky to have you,” Namjoon agreed, pulling away and leaning back against his pillows, sensing that Jimin was retreating.
“My family,” Jimin corrected idly.
“Pack is family,” Namjoon replied off-handedly. “Jungkookie definitely views you as his pack.” Jimin swallowed hard at the mention of Jungkook, and at how different Namjoon sounded saying Jungkook’s name compared to Jimin’s. It wasn’t intentional, but there was a certain fondness when he said ‘ Jungkookie ’. Jimin could understand that; he’d been completely head over heels in love with Taehyung and he hadn’t thought that he would ever feel anything even close to what he felt with the vampire, and then Jungkook had come alone, and Jimin had been taken aback at how fiercely they had both become attached to him.
But he knew that Namjoon was going to be gone soon.
He had to be, it didn’t matter how Jimin felt about it.
“Uh…” Namjoon swallowed hard as Jimin got off the bed, his toes brushing the floor before his wings fluttered a bit faster. He hated the parts of the house that didn’t have any carpet laid, but Taehyung liked the exposed wooden floors, and this had been Jungkook’s room years ago when he had first lived with them, and when he spilt paint all over the carpet, they’d torn it up and polished the wood underneath rather than replacing it. “Is he okay? Jungkook?” He asked hesitantly, and Jimin’s chin lifted, frowning at Namjoon.
“He hasn’t come to see you?” He asked in surprise and Namjoon just shook his head.
“Not since…” Namjoon drifted off before shrugging. “Not since he had that fight with Taehyung,” he replied honestly and Jimin’s eyes widened before sighing.
“I’m sorry you heard that,” he murmured. “Things have been…Tense.”
“I’m sorry I’m making it that way, I don’t—I don’t mean to,” Namjoon told him and Jimin nodded, because he believed the Alpha. He was still hurt; he was in much better condition than he had been last week, his arm was properly knitted back together now, it didn’t dangle awkwardly at his side anymore, and all the superficial wounds were healed. With all the silver almost completely purged from his system, his supernatural healing would take over and it would only be a few more days until he was completely back to his normal, werewolf self.
If Jimin was being honest with himself, he definitely could leave, but it would be about where he went next, because he still needed a lot of rest. Out on his own with no pack and no one to have his back, he would be a goner if anyone with bad intentions came along who wasn’t human—and even then, there were probably hunters who would be able to take him. Jimin couldn’t have that. He wanted to make sure Namjoon was completely healthy and strong and ready to protect himself before he left—he needed him to be that way.
He wasn’t sure what Jungkook would do if something happened to Namjoon after he left them.
…He wasn’t sure what he’d do.
“Jimin-ah?” Namjoon’s voice was soft as he looked at him, concern on his face even though he was the one with his entire upper arm and shoulder bandaged.
“Sorry,” Jimin flashed a small smile, shivering as he realized he’d lowered himself to the floor. Namjoon smiled back, not asking anything as he leaned back into the pillows before speaking again.
“Could you tell Jungkook that I really liked painting with him?” He said quietly, eyes drifting over to the wall, and Jimin followed his eyes, toward a canvas he hadn’t noticed in the corner, blues and greens covering half of it, another one behind it that Jimin recognized as a piece that Jungkook had been working on.
“I will,” Jimin nodded and made a move for the door.
“And I’ll be gone soon—tomorrow, maybe,” Namjoon was trying to be helpful but it just made Jimin feel worse. He didn’t want Namjoon to leave. He hadn’t said it out loud yet, and he knew he didn’t feel as connected as Jungkook did, but he still didn’t want Namjoon to leave. He couldn’t bring himself to reply, instead forcing a polite smile, and then finding himself with his feet on the floor once again as he left the guest house, his wings downturned.
Somewhere between the guest house and the main one, Jimin’s sadness shifted, and his teeth gritted together and his eyes began to spark as he threw open the front door and threw the tray that he was carrying to the floor.
“ Taehyung-ah !” Jimin shouted, and his wings snapped together, air gusting behind him as he rose above the floor, much higher than he would usually float within their home.
Taehyung appeared within a second, from somewhere in the house, and his eyes were wide as he stood in front of Jimin, furiously scanning his fairy lover over for any sign that he was hurt before his gaze was meeting Jimin’s again.
“What happened? Are you okay? Is Jungkook okay?” He demanded and Jimin just stared at him, and the fury was clear in his eyes.
“We need to fix this,” he stated, his voice shaking and Taehyung didn’t need him to clarify, his shoulders slumping forward and his eyes dropping to the floor with a nod.
There was a spiral tower at the centre of the manor, with a narrow, winding staircase that Jungkook loved to hang off, and there was a room at the top that their youngest called Taehyung’s Tower. Taehyung would roll his eyes at the name and Jimin would just giggle, and while nowhere on the house was off limits, the tower was mainly Taehyung’s retreat, and Jimin and Jungkook tended to give him space.
When Jungkook stepped into the manor that night, once again after the sun had set, and long after their usual dinner time, he had no idea where either of his boyfriends were, but just like the day before when he had come home, he didn’t look, turning to go toward his own bedroom for the second night in a row. He didn’t like the feeling of going toward an empty bed, all alone, it made him want to shift into his wolf form and curl up and whimper, but he wrapped his arms around himself instead as he walked down the long hall.
“Puppy,” he heard Taehyung’s voice instantly and Jungkook froze, his ears perking up.
Taehyung didn’t sound angry, he didn’t sound mad–he sounded upset, maybe a bit tired.
“Puppy, please come here,” Taehyung said again and Jungkook remained still for a moment, not too sure where the voice was coming from exactly but knowing that it was from upstairs, somewhere above him. Taehyung wouldn’t force him to go to him, but he was inviting him to talk.
And Jungkook wanted to be with his boyfriends–he hated this distance. He loved them, they were the ones that had accepted him and given him a home when he had nowhere to go and they had taught him so much about life and love and himself .
Fighting with them was the last thing he ever wanted.
He still dragged his feet as he began walking up the stairs, not moving anywhere near as quickly as he usually did. His head hung low as he chewed on his lower lip, because…This felt like something so much different. The way Taehyung had spoken to him, what he had said …
“Jungkookie,” Jimin was walking down to meet him, and Jungkook’s pace quickened until he met Jimin, and when the fairy’s arms wrapped around him, Jungkook felt his heart calming in his chest. Jimin’s eyes had a silver shimmer to them, something that Jungkook had only seen a couple of times, and it made him tilt his head in confusion, but Jimin just threw his arms around Jungkook and hugged him close. “ Puppy ,” he breathed out and Jungkook wrapped his arms around Jimin’s waist, navigating under his wings with ease. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry about this morning–I was never trying to take sides, I just–”
“ Hyung ,” Jungkook let out a short laugh, feeling relief flood through him even as he tried to shake it off and not show how affected he was. “Jimin-ssi, it’s okay.” He pulled back enough to see Jimin’s face, and Jimin instantly cupped his cheeks, looking at him with worry, and his wings were waving rapidly behind him, holding Jimin just above Jungkook’s height.
“No, I never want to make you feel like–as though I’m choosing one of you over the other. I never want to do that. I love you both . I adore you, Jungkookie, I love you–you and Taehyung. You both mean everything to me,” Jimin continued to insist, holding Jungkook’s face tightly and staring at him, and Jungkook nodded slowly before his eyes lifted.
To Taehyung.
Taehyung was sitting further back, behind his desk, and even though Jungkook knew that he didn’t need sleep, and he wouldn’t be lacking blood, given he also fed from Jimin and they kept some stored in the basement, but he looked pale, and tired. Jungkook’s immediate first reaction wanted to slip into Taehyung’s lap and show his neck, but he held back, and Jimin slipped away to give him some space.
Jungkook stepped forward nervously as Taehyung got up from behind the large, ornately carved desk, circling around until he could rest against it in front and stare at Jungkook. Jungkook swallowed nervously, and his fingers curled at his side.
Jimin was a few steps behind but his eyes were sharp, subconsciously glowing with the adrenaline high that was running through him, tensions high in the room and felt by all of them. Jungkook and Taehyung stared at each other for a long few beats, and Jimin could see the way Jungkook was twitching, while Taehyung was completely still, speaking to their different natures.
“Jungkookie, I’m sorry,” Taehyung suddenly said, and Jungkook blinked, his head jerking back in surprise. Jimin’s eyes widened in surprise too, staring at Taehyung, who was looking directly at Jungkook, his expression vulnerable and heartbroken. “I’m so sorry, puppy. I…I’ve been horrible to you recently, and–and it’s not fair that I take out my–my problems with werewolves on you, and on–on the Alpha. I love you, I don’t blame you for anything. And–and I don’t blame the Al– Namjoon . I shouldn’t , and…I’m sorry.”
That was unexpected.
And Jungkook was immediately letting out a sob and tumbling forward, tripping over his own feet, onto the thick rug in front of Taehyung. Taehyung’s body stiffened in surprise, while Jimin fell forward after Jungkook, immediately wrapping his arms protectively around the young werewolves body.
“I—I j-just don’t understand why you w-would say that?” Jungkook was crying so hard his body was shaking and Taehyung felt colder than he had in a long time. He didn’t usually feel the cold, it didn’t affect him, but seeing one of the people he loved most crying because of something he did? Taehyung knew his nails were cutting into his palms as he controlled his breathing.
There weren't too many things that really upset him after being alive for almost nine hundred years. Most humans were bad, most supernatural beings were bad, most people looked out for themselves and didn’t care about others. He had stopped getting close to those who had short lifespans and were susceptible to injury or disease, his circle became small as he watched everyone he had once loved die, keeping connections only with his Sire despite leaving his coven. It hadn’t been until just over two hundred years ago when he’d met Jimin that he’d actually let someone in, someone who made him feel all kinds of things which had initially shoved the fairy away before finally asking him to be in his life. Jungkook had also been an anomaly, only ten years ago, and that had thrown Taehyung through a whole other loop, especially with him being a werewolf. But Jimin had softened his dead heart and it had been easier to recognise the way Jungkook made him feel and quicker to accept him.
And now he was hurting him.
His puppy.
“I-I’ve never wanted to be anywhere else, anyone elses,” Jungkook was sobbing where he was crumbled on the floor at Taehyung’s feet, and Jimin was staring up at Taehyung from where he was curled over Jungkook, holding their baby, his wings flat against his back and the silver in his eyes was glowing furiously. “And I’ve never thought about leaving, or you sending me away or—”
“We would never , Jungkook-ah,” Taehyung couldn’t help his hiss through his teeth, interrupting Jungkook’s tears as the werewolf gulped in air and looked up at him. “ I would never.” Jimin was still glaring at him, but his eyes weren’t glowing as brightly as they had before. Which was good, because Jimin didn’t seem to think he had much magic, but when he got angry and everything started building in his tiny body, he could be scary.
“I’ve only—only ever wanted to be hyungs. Only wanted to be here,” he sniffed and wiped his hand over his face. “You gave me everything —you taught me everything I know —I just…” he was managing to calm himself down, and even though Taehyung wanted to reach out and gather him up, he waited. Although, he wasn’t sure if he was waiting or frozen, if he was being honest. “ You showed me I could love more than one person, you taught me that— both of you,” his breathing was slowing down, and Taehyung wondered if that was him, or if it was Jimin’s hand pressed against his back, lightly glowing. “And now…”
“And now…” Taehyung swallowed hard, everything inside him feeling on edge. “Now you…You love him?” He barely got the words out, and he saw the way Jimin stiffened as well, his eyes dropping back down to Jungkook for his answer.
“I— no ,” Jungkook shook his head but he was frowning and fixing Taehyung with a hard gaze that Taehyung knew meant he was determined to say what he needed, even though he was worried. “I don’t…Not…Not yet . But I—I want to try. I want you to let me try. And I want—I want you to try, you and Jiminie.” Jimin’s eyes widened as Jungkook finally said the quiet part out loud, his teeth gritting together as he waited on a response from Taehyung, holding his breath as his eyes darted across to the vampire, who looked stricken. Taehyung was so good at hiding his feelings, he’d had centuries to learn how to compose himself and barely anything phased him, and Jimin felt his heart skip a beat at the nervousness that was so clearly showing on Taehyung’s face.
“I–Jungkook–” Taehyung’s voice was hesitant. “Puppy, it doesn’t work like that. You can’t just–I can’t just–that’s not how it works.”
“I just want to try ,” Jungkook was pleading, and even though Jimin couldn’t see his face, he could just imagine the big, glittering eyes that were fixed on Taehyung.
Taehyung looked absolutely helpless to push back anymore, lifting his head to look back at where Jimin was, and even though Jimin was still angry about how they had ended up in this position, he couldn’t stop his small, encouraging nod. They had done things their own way for a long time, and it had worked, but it didn’t mean–it didn’t mean that maybe things couldn’t be better.
Jungkook deserved a chance at this. He’d always thought of them first, he’d never given them a reason to doubt him, and if he felt strongly about this–about Namjoon –Jimin thought they should give him that freedom.
“Okay, pup,” Taehyung sighed as his eyes lowered back to Jungkook. “Alright.”
Nothing really changed over the next couple of days, but it still felt as though there had been a shift in the air.
Jungkook was over the moon.
Taehyung didn’t seem as tense.
Jimin was letting himself get closer to Namjoon, and Namjoon was tentative, but he had smiled when Jungkook and Jimin had told him to stay. He had looked like he wanted to believe them, but had been hesitant.
Then Taehyung had appeared in the guest house, for the first time since the Alpha had woken up. Jungkook’s eyes were wide as he openly turned his head to look between Namjoon and Taehyung, while Jimin was trying to be more subtle about it, his wings flickering so quickly behind him that they were humming.
“Stay,” Taehyung stated from where he was standing in the doorway, and the surprise was obvious on Namjoon’s face as he sat on the side of the bed, his feet resting gingerly on the floor. Taehyung gritted his teeth together, and this was clearly difficult for him, but he kept going. “If you would like to, you are welcome to stay.” Namjoon stared at the vampire before he was smiling, his head tipping forward in a respectful bow that had Taehyung’s expression briefly wavering.
“Thank you,” he said.
And that had been that.
A week later, Namjoon was still there, and he had come into the manor for a handful of meals, exploring their property with Jungkook, who could barely contain his excitement.
Two weeks later, Namjoon was still there, and he was joining them for most meals, and helping Jimin with things around the manor, and going out for morning runs with Jungkook.
And then there was a full moon.
Full moons were important to werewolves, they called to an animalistic instinct deep inside them that they couldn’t ignore, and it had been on a full moon that Jungkook had managed to shift for the first time since being turned into a werewolf. It had been a horrible experience that Jimin and Taehyung had helped him through, and it had been terrifying for all of them, even though Jimin and Taehyung knew all the logistics and technicalities between the shift, but they had no idea how to manage the pain and confusion Jungkook was going through. The nights of the full moons from then on were ones that Jungkook would spend out on his own–they were the only nights that Taehyung specifically stayed home, even though his territory was expansive.
There was this restless, burning energy that Jungkook got on the day of the full moon, one that was relentless and untiring, no matter what he did. And then that evening, he just wanted to shift, and run until he was exhausted and couldn’t tell where the ground finished and his paws began–that wasn’t a journey they could accompany him on. He had always run alone on those nights, and even though he returned home to his lovers and fell into bed with them, there was still a part of him that was lonely.
But Namjoon…
Right from the first thing in the morning, Namjoon was awake–before Jungkook, which was unheard of. And not only was he awake, but he was full of energy, and when he and Jungkook went out for a run while the sun was rising, it was like Jungkook was seeing him exert himself for the first time. Namjoon was fast and he was strong, but Jungkook had never actually seen him open up this way, and he was clearly having so much fun , which had Jungkook yipping and bouncing everywhere.
They both shifted before they ran–neither of them noticing Jimin watching with a smile through the kitchen window–and as they left the territory, Namjoon started sprinting. Jungkook yapped and ran after him, his legs pumping beneath him as the wind rushed through his fur, and Namjoon ducked to the side as Jungkook caught him, before lunging back at Jungkook playfully. Jungkook twisted, and they were both falling to the ground, the wolves rolling around together before they were running off again, Namjoon letting Jungkook take the lead briefly before he was overtaking him.
It was hours before they returned, Jungkook panting as they transformed back into their human form, the pair of them sweaty and beautiful in a way that had Jimin pressing his thighs together as he handed them both their clothes. He fed them, fussing in a way that he usually only did over Jungkook and Taehyung, and Jungkook didn’t hide his smile as he watched the way Jimin did the same over Namjoon. And Namjoon clearly enjoyed it, the way he was smiling and accepting food that Jimin hand fed him, making Jimin blush.
They slept after they had eaten–tired out from their hours of running–and even though Jungkook had lingered outside with Namjoon, he still came into the main house, and had taken the stairs up to Taehyung’s room before collapsing on the bed. He buried his nose in the blankets that smelt strongly like Jimin and himself, and then faintly but distinctly of Taehyung, given Taehyung’s scent was a lot more muted. And then there was Namjoon, whose scent was clinging to Jungkook’s skin from when they had been play fighting and rolling in the grass together.
Jungkook slept soundly through the afternoon, his wolf purring as he curled himself in a nest of the three scents of his favourite people.
That night, once the sun had disappeared and the full moon was high, he and Namjoon ran–they ran for hours. They chased birds and howled to the moon and tumbled down hills together. Namjoon so easily outran Jungkook, but he would always circle back, his nose occasionally nudging at Jungkook’s side and encouraging him on, and Jungkook would somehow find some extra power inside of him and manage to keep going, even as he got tired.
There was a long river that ran through Taehyung’s territories, and sometime after midnight, Jungkook and Namjoon splashed through it, lapping at the water and panting from the hours of running they had done. Namjoon shifted back to his human form, and Jungkook watched with wide eyes at the way Namjoon’s body shone under the moon. The Alpha dropped into the water, dunking himself under the surface and Jungkook shifted back while Namjoon’s back was turned.
Nudity wasn’t something Jungkook was unused to, and his lovers had some of the most beautiful bodies he had ever been lucky enough to lay his eyes on.
And Namjoon…
Namjoon was beautiful too. So beautiful.
When the Alpha broke back through the water, streams were rippling off his shoulders and back, his hair flicking back as his hands ran through it, and Jungkook’s mouth felt dry as he stared. Namjoon was facing away from him, his waist just above the water, and Jungkook’s eyes drifted over his shoulders, down to the dip of his lower back and then he quickly tore his eyes away and dropped himself into water. His face burned, and it wasn’t just from how hot he felt from running.
Namjoon was waiting for him when he finally stood up again, still some space between them, and Jungkook’s breath caught in his throat.
“How are you feeling, little wolf?” Namjoon asked, and his voice was quiet but it was all Jungkook heard. All the sounds of the rushing water and the night time wildlife faded away and all he heard was Namjoon.
“Good,” Jungkook answered bashfully, his breathing shaky as Namjoon waded through the water, slowly getting so close to Jungkook that he could feel the warmth coming from the Alpha. “I feel good, Alpha,” he didn’t even notice the way he addressed Namjoon, not at first.
Namjoon definitely did, and his scent swelled, drawing his shoulders back as he stared down at Jungkook, and Jungkook stared back at him, big, galaxy eyes peering from beneath dishevelled hair. Jungkook could smell Namjoon’s arousal, and he had no doubt that Namjoon could smell his own, and Namjoon lifted his hand slowly, reaching out to stroke away some of the hair that was in front of Jungkook’s face. He tucked some hair behind his ear before nodding slowly and looking over his shoulder, into the dense forest that surrounded them.
“Should we head back?” Namjoon asked in a gravelly low voice, and Jungkook took a few moments to be able to process the question before dipping his head in a slow nod. Namjoon’s fingers were still resting against Jungkook’s face, his fingertips pressed gently to his cheek, and Jungkook couldn’t stop himself from leaning into his touch, just a little.
“Okay,” he agreed, so, so quietly, but Namjoon heard him. He nodded again, and his hand finally fell away from Jungkook’s face, and Jungkook’s eyes dropped, looking down to where Namjoon’s hand was resting at his side, partially in the water now. Neither of them moved for a long moment, and the tension that cracked in the air made goosebumps raise on his arms and up the back of his neck. Namjoon was once again the one that broke the long, thick silence between them, exhaling heavily and turning to the side.
“Come on, pup,” Namjoon murmured, and he held out an arm toward Jungkook, ushering him out of the water in front of him, watching closely–almost protectively–as Jungkook climbed over the slippery river rocks before climbing out after him. Jungkook looked back over his shoulder after he climbed onto the bank and was resting on his knees, and he saw Namjoon staring at him–his eyes down, at the smooth curve of Jungkook’s flank. When he noticed Jungkook wasn’t moving, his eyes rose, and then widened at being caught staring at Jungkook’s ass, while Jungkook couldn’t help his pleased grin. “Let’s head back,” Namjoon mumbled as he tried not to blush.
They took the long way back to the manor, Namjoon taking the lead once again and happily playing with Jungkook as the younger werewolf leapt at him and nipped at his tail to draw his attention. They tumbled through some long grass together, Jungkook was yipping happily as he ended up trapped under Namjoon momentarily before they continued back home. Namjoon slowed as they approached, Jungkook jogging ahead, his silvery coat glowing in the bright moonlight above, eager to get back to Jimin and Taehyung. But as he reached the main door, he paused, looking back at Namjoon, who was no longer close behind him, watching him instead.
Namjoon had never spent the night in the house with them.
Jungkook’s wolf instantly felt as though it was shaking and whimpering, desperately wanting to go inside to where his lovers were, but not wanting to leave his– the Alpha.
Wolves were instinctually social creatures, at least with their pack–and especially on a full moon. Namjoon had spent every night alone since he had been there, but tonight Jungkook’s heart felt heavier than usual, thinking about the Alpha walking back into the guest house, and up to the cold bedroom, all by himself.
“Jungkook-ah!” Taehyung’s voice was loud, before he had even opened the front door fully, and Jungkook turned his head to look into the house, and he was surprised to see Jimin moving around behind him with an armful of pillows and excited expression on his face. Taehyung stared at Jungkook for a moment before his nose twitched and he was stepping outside, his gaze shifting toward Namjoon. “Namjoon-ssi,” his voice was clipped, but it was clear he was trying . “Please come in,” he said, looking directly at Namjoon, and then back at Jungkook.
Jungkook almost knocked him over in his excitement, licking at Taehyung’s face before dropping down to transform back.
“Get some clothes on, puppy,” Taehyung huffed, trying to hide his smile as he slipped out of his robe and wrapped it around Jungkook’s shoulders. Jungkook passed by him after smushing a kiss to his cheek, leaving Taehyung in the doorway to look toward where Namjoon was slowly approaching the house, still in his wolf form. He was huge , much bigger than Jungkook when he was a wolf, his coat pitch black as he rested a large paw on the first concrete step that lead up toward the house. Taehyung stared at him, and the wolf stared back, until Jimin was fluttering behind him with another long robe, similar to the one that Jungkook had been wrapped in.
“Here you go, Namjoonie,” Jimin’s voice was soft and sweet as always, his wings keeping him in the air at the same height as Taehyung, looking at the large wolf with complete trust as he held out the robe. Namjoon’s head dipped forward in a respectful nod before his body was transforming, a much smoother process than what Jungkook went through–which bespoke the years of practice he had. When he rose to his feet, Jimin had his eyes pointedly averted, while Taehyung had disappeared into the house.
“Thank you, Jimin-ah,” Namjoon’s voice rumbled and Jimin blinked rapidly before nodding and waving him in.
“Of course–come in, come in, it’s cold,” he fussed and Namjoon’s dimple flashed in amusement, because there were clear skies and the breeze was warm. But he stepped into the manor, allowing Jimin to close the door behind him before following the fairy further into the home. It was different, walking into the manor at night, with the clear intention to sleep there. Namjoon followed after Jimin at a careful distance, unsure of what was happening–where they were all planning on sleeping–but it seemed as though Jungkook’s pack had already thought of that.
“ Hyungs !” Jungkook’s voice was filled with happiness as he rolled around in the large nest of blankets and pillows that had been piled into the corner of the lounge, near the large windows that had open curtains. Obviously Taehyung and Jimin knew the preferences Jungkook–and werewolves in general–had toward seeing the moon when it was full, which was just another thing that showed how much they cared and looked after him. “This is the best !” Jungkook was laying on his back, naked now that the robe had fallen off his shoulders, completely unashamed as he stared up to where Jimin and Namjoon had approached. Jungkook looked toward Namjoon, and then his eyes drifted, across to where Taehyung was standing, gazing out the windows and pointedly not looking toward them. There was a clear question in Jungkook’s face, and Jimin seemed to be holding his breath as well, while Namjoon just waited, staring at the back of Taehyung’s head.
Jimin was the one who broke the silence, purposefully reaching out for Namjoon’s hand and tugging him forward, and Namjoon let himself be moved, toward the makeshift nest that Jungkook was beginning to fuss over. Taehyung turned so he was turned half back at them, and while he didn’t look overly pleased about the way that Namjoon knelt at one of the corners of the nest and slowly rested his hands on the blankets, he didn’t say anything.
“Taehyungie,” Jungkook was pouting, one blanket pulled over his hips while another thick one was tangled around his legs. His hand reached out toward Taehyung as Jimin shuffled closer to Jungkook with a clear intent to snuggle, his face looking sweetly puffy from how tired he was. “You too, please.” It was a request, a whiny request, that affected all three men in the room, and none of them could imagine saying no.
“Okay, baby,” Taehyung mumbled after a few minutes, but he didn’t move at first, eyes on Namjoon.
Namjoon would have loved to curl in closer to the centre of the nest, where Jungkook and Jimin had tangled themselves together, and the young werewolf had pulled in the softest blanket and had wrapped the robe Taehyung had given him around a pillow, practically burying his face into fabric that smelt strongly of Taehyung. But as the vampire stepped forward, and slowly lowered himself down behind Jungkook, Namjoon began to settle himself down right on the edge of the nest. He angled himself so he was looking toward the front door, which settled his Alpha, and the blanket he pulled over himself smelt like Jungkook, while the robe Jimin had given him smelt like the fairy…And faintly like the vampire.
That settled his Alpha as well.
Taehyung was staring at him from over Jungkook’s shoulder, his arm draped over the young werewolves hip and resting on Jimin’s arm in a protective fashion, and Namjoon could completely understand.
If Jimin and Jungkook were his, he would protect them with his life as well.
And maybe Taehyung would never want or need Namjoon’s protection, but he would extend that to him without hesitation too.
“Where’s Jiminie?” Jungkook’s voice was slurred as he stumbled down the stairs, disgruntled with waking up in bed alone. Taehyung was stretched out on the couch with a book in his lap, and he looked over with a small smile, reaching out an arm toward Jungkook as his puppy barely avoided tripping over his feet as he approached.
“He went to go and see Taemin,” Taehyung replied as Jungkook collapsed on top of him and Jungkook just mumbled and nodded his head, shoving his face into Taehyung’s neck and sniffing loudly. A moment later, he jerked back, his head whipping around to look in the direction of where he had just heard a sound in the kitchen. Then he looked back at Taehyung, who looked surprisingly relaxed with someone else in their home.
“Who’s that?” Jungkook frowned and Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
“Your Alpha,” he replied, and he watched the way Jungkook’s eyes flashed at that and his lips twitched. He would never have called Namjoon that even a month ago, but…It had been almost four months since the Alpha had come to live with them, only a bit less than that before Jungkook had convinced him to let Namjoon stay. And in that time, while Taehyung couldn’t say that he was overjoyed with how things had gone, he wasn’t as angry as he thought he would have been. Seeing the way that Jimin and Jungkook were around Namjoon–and the way that Namjoon was with them –it had softened him.
And the way that Namjoon was with Taehyung himself as well.
It was limited, but it was always respectful, if not beginning to linger a little more in the recent weeks.
Taehyung still didn’t feel ready to share Jungkook and Jimin but it really wasn’t up to him. Jungkook had clearly accepted the older werewolf, spending a lot of his days with him, and Jimin was quieter about his love and affection, but Taehyung knew Jimin like the back of his hand, and he could see how strongly he felt about Namjoon. He never wanted to hold them back from something–or someone –that would make them happy, and as the days turned into weeks, and Namjoon never once gave him a reason to doubt him, Taehyung felt his opinion and unbeating heart change its rhythm toward the werewolf.
“He’s getting himself breakfast–I’m sure he’ll get something for you if you ask nicely,” Taehyung continued and Jungkook’s surprised face looked back to Taehyung before his nose was scrunching and he was making an excited sound that was like a wolfish yip before he was clambering off Taehyung’s lap. A lot of times Taehyung would be annoyed that Jungkook was leaving him for Namjoon, but he really wasn’t this morning.
Especially with how happy Jungkook looked, skidding away to find Namjoon.
When Jungkook came back a few minutes later, leading a slower moving Namjoon who was carrying one of the woven baskets that Jimin carried breakfast around in, he had a huge smile on his face, immediately finding his way onto Taehyung’s lap.
“Thank you, Taehyungie-hyung,” Jungkook practically purred as he nuzzled his nose against Taehyung’s throat. Namjoon sat down opposite them, putting the basket of food down on the table, and Taehyung watched him closely, the way that Namjoon watched them . There was a glint in his eye that gave away that he was jealous, to some extent, which Taehyung could understand.
When he and Jimin first included Jungkook, they would all get a bit jealous. Taehyung would get jealous of the time that Jimin and Jungkook would spend together, and even now, years later, sometimes things would happen that would make something flare up inside of one of them. It was natural.
Which is why seeing that look in Namjoon’s eyes didn’t set Taehyung on edge, especially since the Alpha forced himself to shift just a little further away, sliding his eyes away to look out the window instead as he ate some of the bread Jimin had baked yesterday. Taehyung might not eat food like the rest of the household, but the smells of bread that Jimin often filled the house with were always homey and warm.
Namjoon and Jungkook began to eat in front of him, Jungkook making that adorable angry-scrunch with his face that he made when he was eating something he enjoyed, and Taehyung could practically see his werewolf tail swaying happily behind him. Opposite, Namjoon ate slower, and Taehyung didn’t miss the way he shifted a few of the cuts of meat, making sure that better pieces were in front of Jungkook, and that small action moved Taehyung more than anything Namjoon could ever say .
“Are you going out for a run with Namjoon-ssi after you eat?” Taehyung asked, running his hand through Jungkook’s messy bed hair, purposefully only looking at Namjoon out of the corner of his eyes as he spoke to Jungkook.
“Mmhm,” Jungkook said through his mouthful of food and Namjoon smiled fondly.
So did Taehyung, although not quite as big.
“Come back upstairs to me once you’re back,” Taehyung said, and Jungkook paused, looking back at Taehyung, before his cheeks blushed slightly. They’d never discussed feeding in front of Namjoon before–not that they were doing it explicitly , but…Namjoon definitely would have known what was being implied here. Feeding from a mate was something personal, intimate, and while Jungkook had discussed it briefly with Namjoon before, he looked completely taken aback by Taehyung being the one to bring it up first.
“Yes, hyung,” Jungkook mumbled after he’d swallowed his mouthful, still staring up at Taehyung. There were bread crumbs in the corner of his mouth, and Taehyung smiled as he leaned forward and brushed his thumb over his lip, tapping it against his chin once the crumbs were gone.
“Good pup,” Taehyung said before standing up. His smile wasn’t there when he looked across at Namjoon, but his eyes weren’t as hard as they usually were as he dipped his head in a nod.
Namjoon’s smile was wide, and his dimples appeared, deep in his cheeks, and it was the first time that it had been directed toward Taehyung, and he completely understood the dreamy, breathy voice from Jimin when he was speaking about those dimples. He couldn’t stand here and think that around two werewolves who could scent a change in someone's mood almost immediately–even a vampire like himself, whose scent was much more muted than most others.
Every few decades he decided to redecorate and overhaul a few of the rooms in the manor–something he’d had fun with in the past few decades with Jimin and Jungkook contributing. This time, though, both of them had been giving space to Taehyung to focus on the project given how much was going on, and he appreciated that.
Taehyung was still in one of the rooms–once upon a time it had been his original bedroom, until he and Jimin had torn down a wall that divided two other bedrooms, with gorgeous floor length windows, and he’d made that his room instead–when Jungkook and Namjoon arrived back on the property. He heard as they approached; Jungkook’s loud laughter and Namjoon’s softer chuckle after they shifted back to their human form. He paid closer attention than he would admit, the way that their feet pushed through the grass, and Namjoon told Jungkook to go on into the house. It made Taehyung blink, to hear Namjoon tell Jungkook to go and find Taehyung–remembering Taehyung’s request from earlier and respecting that, encouraging Jungkook to fulfil it.
And Jungkook seemed to listen, because Taehyung heard Jungkook’s feet begin to pick up the pace on the ground, shifting to the gravel right outside, and then running into the manor. Taehyung put down the paint brush he had been using, wrinkling his nose at the pale blue paint drips on his hands and pants, but his annoyance quickly shifted as he heard Jungkook coming up the stairs. He turned toward the door just as Jungkook arrived, grinning excitedly, happily naked and a leaf tangled in his hair.
“C’mere, puppy,” Taehyung rolled his eyes fondly as Jungkook skipped over, taking the leaf out of Jungkook’s hair before cupping his cheek with one hand and giving him a close-mouthed kiss. He picked Jungkook up, and Jungkook clung to him, licking at the corners of his mouth and demanding the kiss deepend and sometimes Taehyung would slow him down, make him wait until he was whining and adorably pathetic, but he didn’t stop this time. He let Jungkook kiss him as he carried him toward the hallway, his hands easily gripping him and exploring his bare skin as he headed toward his bedroom. Jungkook smelt incredible–slightly sweaty, and like grass and the forest…And like Namjoon.
Taehyung had despised smelling the Alpha werewolf on Jungkook or Jimin when he had first come into their lives. Despite his feelings that had developed quickly for Jungkook, his scent had still taken him a while to adjust to–because even though everyone had their own scents, subspecies still had something in common, and there was a distinct scent with werewolves. It had been something that had triggered Taehyung for years–decades, multiple decades–and it hadn’t been until Jungkook that he had gotten past it. It didn’t matter how many werewolves he interacted with before then–something he gritted his teeth to get through, especially attempting to be polite when it was friends of his Jimin’s–it hadn’t been until Jungkook that Taehyung had changed his mind.
Being confronted by another werewolf in his territory , and an Alpha at that, had completely caught him off guard, and it had thrown up walls that he realized had weakened in the past few years. He felt intimidated and on guard, and seeing the way Jungkook had almost instantly started softening toward Namjoon had made his fangs itch with frustration, but…
A few months in, things were different.
“Taehyungie…” Jungkook sighed out as he tipped back his head, exposing his throat, a clear invitation. “Pl-please.”
“My good little puppy,” Taehyung groaned out as he leaned forward to press a kiss to Jungkook’s neck, biting lightly with his blunt teeth before dropping Jungkook onto the bed as he looked around for a bottle of oil. Jungkook watched while whimpering under his breath, wiggling around impatiently, and Taehyung smirked before settling between his thighs. Jungkook’s sounds got louder as Taehyung opened him up, the smell of his pre-cum permeating the air and making Taehyung’s nostrils flare, and then there was the smell of Namjoon that lightly complemented Jungkook’s scent, mingling together perfectly. Similar to how Jimin’s did–and how Taehyung hoped his own did as well.
Maybe that was also part of the reason that Taehyung felt himself softening toward Namjoon, at least accepting him as a cohabitant on their property.
That didn’t explain the way that Taehyung let his mind drift–just a little, just enough to sharpen his hearing and focus just outside of their manor, ignoring the white noise and just finding Namjoon.
As Taehyung’s teeth sunk into Jungkook’s neck, and his cock slid inside Jungkook’s warmth, he heard heavy, shaky breathing from Namjoon.
He wondered what Namjoon was doing.
He wondered what Namjoon was thinking .
He wondered if Namjoon was listening to them…
“ Taehyungie ,” Jungkook’s pretty voice was breathy and needy and Taehyung retracted his fangs, licking over the two small marks left against Jungkook’s golden neck.
“My puppy,” Taehyung murmured before pressing his mouth to Jungkook’s, and Jungkook’s kiss was sloppy, which could be from the high that came from the bite, but could also just be because the werewolf was excited. Jungkook could get sloppy with his kisses and touches at times, it was something they adored about him.
“Hyung, please,” Jungkook started rolling his hips forward eagerly, and Taehyung didn’t make either of them wait, wrapping a hand around Jungkook’s cock and massaging his thumb against the weeping head.
“Go on, Jungkookie,” Taehyung murmured as he pulled back, away from Jungkook’s searching mouth, teasing him with soft kisses over his nose and cheeks while Jungkook shuddered in his lap.
“ Taehyungie ,” Jungkook whined as he came, clinging to Taehyung, falling limp as he fucked into Jungkook. Afterwards they laid out on the bed next to each other, and Taehyung could feel as Jungkook’s breathing evened out and he fell asleep. It wasn’t often that Taehyung actually slept, even though he would often spend at least several hours a night with Jimin and Jungkook, and he wasn’t going to sleep now, but he would stay right where he was until Jungkook woke up.
“You still smell like him.” Jimin yelped, his wings flapping together quickly and lifting him a few feet into the air, closer to the branches of the tree he had been under. “Sorry,” Namjoon cringed as Jimin met his eyes, giving him a small smile. “I didn’t mean to surprise you.” Jimin rolled his eyes, smiling as his wings fluttered and lowered himself back down, bare toes an inch or so above the grass.
“I should be used to how quiet everyone here is,” Jimin just shrugged. “I don’t mind.” Namjoon nodded, and the smile from his face faded as he tilted his head to the side and his nose twitched. There was something in his expression that had Jimin moving closer. “Are you okay?”
“You…You smell like the werewolf that you saw the other day,” Namjoon repeated, a bit quieter this time.
“Taemin?” Jimin asked in surprise, tilting his head. “Jungkookie is usually pretty thorough in making sure I don’t smell like anyone else,” he smiled as he looked down, picking at the pale pink linen shirt he was wearing. “I think it’s the shirt, I was wearing it the other day.” Namjoon immediately stepped in front of him, leaning down to sniff at Jimin’s shirt before lifting his head to sniff a little less blatantly at the side of Jimin’s head before.
The Alpha usually kept his emotions pretty well covered up–definitely more than Jungkook did–but there was clear relief on his face as he straightened back up.
“Definitely the shirt…You should probably wash that soon,” Namjoon said, looking away even as the words left his mouth, a faint pink tinge to his cheeks that had Jimin’s eyebrows raising in surprise. He couldn’t stop his small smile from growing and his own cheeks turning red. Scent was important to werewolves; most people knew that, Jimin knew that, and even if he didn’t before Jungkook, he would definitely know it now, Jungkook made it very clear.
Namjoon had never commented on Jimin’s scent before–it was an intimate thing to do.
Jimin liked that Namjoon’s tone had a slightly possessive hint to it.
Namjoon’s affection for Jungkook was clear, it came a lot easier between the two of them, and it was something that both Jimin and Taehyung were adjusting to…Jimin a bit better than Taehyung, but it had gotten a whole lot better recently. Taehyung was more accepting of it and Jimin was…Maybe Jimin was a bit jealous.
He really liked the Alpha werewolf.
He was so kind, and wise–he would read with Jimin out under their trees in the afternoons, and he would help him around the house, even if he tripped over his own feet more than Jungkook did. It was incredibly endearing, this large, muscular Alpha who clearly just wanted to help, and didn’t seem to realize his own proportions or strength. Namjoon was very careful around Jimin and Taehyung, but he and Jungkook were becoming increasingly more physical, and there were times that Namjoon would manhandle Jungkook without even noticing.
The other three did.
Jungkook loved it, his face pink as he tucked himself under the Alpha’s arm.
Taehyung wasn’t glaring every time it happened any more.
Jimin kind of wanted to be under Namjoon’s other arm…
“Jiminie?” Namjoon was frowning and leaning closer and Jimin let out a squeak. Namjoon smiled at him, instantly stepping back and giving Jimin space.
“Sorry,” Jimin blushed at being caught off guard, glancing around before back into the branches above him, where he had been picking apples before Namjoon had interrupted him earlier. “I was just–I’m going to make an apple pie for dessert.” It was an excuse, and Namjoon seemed to realize that, but he still just smiled, his hair ruffling in the breeze around his handsome face.
“Did you want some help?” Namjoon asked.
“Yes, please,” Jimin answered instantly, even though he had wings and could fly . But instead he moved aside, letting Namjoon stretch into the branches and pick some of the reddest apples he could find. He didn’t move that far away though…Namjoon’s arm brushed against his every few seconds, and Jimin’s skin tingled when they came into contact. Namjoon was careful when putting the apples into Jimin’s basket, and once it was full, he stepped back, smiling wide, looking incredibly satisfied with himself.
Maybe it had something to do with his inner Alpha being happy with providing , Jimin mused, and then abruptly pushed that thought aside because that made him feel hot in his stomach.
“Thank you,” Jimin murmured and Namjoon bowed his head forward.
“My pleasure,” he smiled, and Jimin had to make a conscious effort not to let his wings flutter together happily and send him spinning in a circle.
It hadn’t just been Namjoon who had commented on Jimin’s scent, Taemin had as well.
“Is that…I thought Taehyung-ssi didn’t like werewolves? Except Jungkookie,” Taemin had commented as they had been sitting on some of the big flat rocks beside the river, eating the sandwiches Jimin had brought for them. Taemin still liked his sandwiches made the exact same way as he had when they were younger, the werewolf eating almost as quickly as Jungkook did.
“Oh, well…That’s Namjoonie…” Jimin had admitted with a blush and Taemin had pounced, demanding details.
While Taehyung’s dislike of werewolves had definitely been something that had been an issue at the beginning of Jimin’s relationship with him, they had adjusted. Taemin was one of his best friends, one of the most important people in the world to him, and falling in love with someone who had–well, a disdain for werewolves was difficult. But things had changed over time, and Taehyung had never discouraged Jimin’s friendship with Taemin, and even though Taemin still wasn’t the biggest fan of Taehyung, he loved the way he treated Jimin–and he adored Jungkook.
The reveal of a second werewolf–and an Alpha at that–living with them had Taemin’s eyes widening, before he was letting out a laugh.
“Poor Taehyung,” he had shaken his head with a grin. “He’s about to end up with two werewolves in his coven.”
…Jimin hoped Taemin was right.
The real turning point was a late night when Taehyung had gone to bed with Jimin and Jungkook, but had slipped away once they had both fallen asleep. Despite the fact that Taehyung was old enough to be able to go out in the day and not be affected by the sun if it wasn’t a burning, bright day, he still preferred going out at night. He and Jungkook would go out running every so often, but Taehyung also liked his own space, and he moved so much faster than Jungkook–he couldn’t fully expend his energy if he was keeping pace with Jungkook.
And it felt good.
It felt so good , to be running so fast everything was a blur around him and the wind was stinging at his cheeks.
He ran to the edge of his territory, and then beyond, over the river and through the trees and towards the mountains. The air was crisp, and birds and wildlife scattered in every direction as he ran past, and he didn’t plan on stopping–until he heard speaking. They were humans, and they were hunters , that became very clear as Taehyung quietly approached and heard them talking about Omegas.
About hunting Omegas, which made Taehyung’s eyes bleed red at the thought of them getting anywhere near Jungkook.
But then they kept talking…About two Omegas that they had seen in this region, and about their Alpha that had come out of nowhere. An Alpha that they had dealt with, and apparently they had brought a lot more of the weaponry to take down that Alpha if he attacked again.
They were talking about Namjoon.
They had to be talking about Namjoon.
They were the ones who attacked Namjoon.
Taehyung’s fangs dropped and he lunged through the trees without thinking, his toes digging into the dirt and pushing him forward, which was–
Absolutely stupid .
He had just heard about how these hunters, who were encroaching into their space and threatening innocent lives, were speaking about how they had brought the weapons that had incapacitated Namjoon for weeks, and then he still threw himself forward without a second thought.
He killed one of them, it was easy. It had been years since he had killed a human, and he wouldn’t deny the thrill that ran through him as blood sprayed in the air and landed across his nose and mouth. The blood wasn’t anywhere near as sweet as Jungkook or Jimin’s, but it was fresh as he licked it off his lips before spinning to face the other men. He wasn’t paying enough attention, though–and they were well trained –and there was an explosion that made Taehyung’s ears ring before his body jerked, and heat erupted in his shoulder.
“ Shibal !” Taehyung hissed as his body jerked forward before he was whipping around and killing the man who had shot him in one easy swipe of his arm. He sent the man flying toward a tree and there were a myriad of cracks and crunches as his body splintered apart, and then turned toward the last man. His arm was already feeling heavy, and burning, but he only needed one hand to sink into the man's hair and jerk his head to the side, tearing at his throat and dropping the body to the ground before hissing in pain. “ Fuck ,” he cursed again as his shoulder and arm just felt heavier.
Jimin had mentioned that there had been melted silver in the ammunition that had been used on Namjoon, mixed together with some kind of accelerant, that had sent the silver into his veins and bloodstream. Vampires weren’t as susceptible to silver as werewolves were–concentrated, artificial sunlight was what humans had discovered most recently that they used on vampires, but thankfully it didn’t feel like it was that.
Still, it burned, and black blood was dripping down his arm and off his fingertips as he turned away from the scene and stumbled forward slightly.
Whatever he’d been shot with, it was definitely spreading. He didn’t have an active bloodstream like Namjoon had, but that didn’t mean the poison wouldn’t spread.
And then he faintly heard the sound of footsteps thundering and he tried to shake his head to rid himself of the dizzy feeling that was settling over him. It wasn’t something he was accustomed to–he hadn’t been sick in years , and the last time he had been injured to the point of actually feeling affected was before he had even met Jungkook.
He’d been running for so long before he had found the hunters–he was sure Jungkook wouldn’t have heard the commotion.
But maybe…
Maybe an Alpha would have.
And within a few minutes, Taehyung had his answer.
An Alpha had heard him.
Taehyung would have been able to make it home, he would have been able to make it back to the manor, but…It would have been a lot slower than he wanted, and his shoulder was burning , blood dripping from his hand.
There was a huge sense of relief that rushed through him when he smelt the familiar scent of Namjoon–and further away, Jungkook, who had probably been woken by Namjoon.
The Alpha reached him first, only wearing a thin pair of pants that were snagged and dirty from the way he had been running through the forest. Taehyung was relieved to smell something familiar, other than his own blood, and when Namjoon reached out for him, he didn’t stop himself from letting Namjoon take his full weight.
“ Taehyungie-hyung !” Jungkook shouted out, sounding panicked as he reached them, and Taehyung just smiled, reaching out his uninjured arm in the direction of Jungkook’s voice while his eyes closed. “Taehyungie–are you okay?!”
“He’s okay, pup,” Namjoon’s voice was gruff, his bare chest heaving under Taehyung’s head. “He’s stronger than any of us, he’ll be fine.”
“Oh, Taetae,” it was his sweet Jimin’s voice speaking, and then lips were pressing down gently against his forehead and cheeks. “What were you doing out here?”
“There’s blood–” Jungkook was growling and Taehyung tried to reach out for the younger werewolf, but by the time he opened his eyes, he realized that he was gone. What he didn’t realize was that he started making noises of discontent and struggling in Namjoon’s arms before Namjoon was leaning forward, so close that his nose brushed against Taehyung’s cheek.
It was the closest they had ever been, and Taehyung didn’t feel threatened at all, and he didn’t recoil at the Alpha’s scent. It definitely wasn’t the most pleasant, but right now it was somehow comforting .
“He’s going back to clean up the bodies, Taehyung-ssi,” Namjoon’s voice rumbled. “Trust him, he can look after this.”
Taehyung didn’t realize he needed to hear that until he felt something release in his chest, and he slumped back into Namjoon’s arms.
Namjoon carried him home, Jimin hovering over his shoulder–flying alongside next to them as quickly as he could, and Taehyung knew that Namjoon definitely wasn’t running as fast as he could–trying not to jostle Taehyung while also trying to get them home as soon as possible. When they got back to the manor, Jimin disappeared while Namjoon took them upstairs, and Taehyung bit back the pained groans he felt raising as they went up the stairs, fading in and out of consciousness.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had been in this much pain.
He was losing a lot of blood.
“Just put him down here,” Jimin spoke quietly.
“I should leave,” Namjoon was saying from somewhere far away. His clothes were being taken away and he could feel small fingers prodding at his shoulder–his Jiminie’s.
Taehyung could feel Namjoon withdrawing–he didn’t even think about the fact that Namjoon was probably just trying to do the right thing, given that even though he had been coming into the house more often, he never came into Taehyung’s room, this was the first time. It was a sign of respect toward Taehyung, and his boundaries, but that absolutely wasn’t what Taehyung wanted.
“ Stay ,” he managed to growl out, before Jimin was fussing and pushing him down against the bed, telling him to be still.
But Namjoon stayed, Taehyung could feel it.
And he appreciated it.
Jungkook was trying not to be too hopeful.
The event that had triggered everything had been horrible–Jungkook and Jimin had woken in the middle of the night to Namjoon shouting for them from outside, already running from the property. Jungkook couldn’t even hear Taehyung until he had been running for a few minutes, following after Namjoon with Jimin trying to keep up behind him. Taehyung had been attacked–by the same humans that had attacked Namjoon, Namjoon had identified them the next day–and Jungkook was still feeling clingy to all of his pack, even though he knew those men were never coming back.
But since then, Taehyung had softened obviously toward Namjoon.
The Alpha werewolf hadn’t stayed in Taehyung’s room again–even the night that Taehyung had been attacked, Namjoon hadn’t slept in the vampires room. Every time Jungkook had woken up, Namjoon had been standing on guard, either watching over them by the door or staring out the window. But he was spending very few nights out in the guest house any more–often sleeping in Jimin’s room or a spare one down the hall from Taehyung’s room–and eating every dinner with them, and spending hours with each of them in a day.
And Taehyung didn’t mind.
Taehyung wasn’t watching Namjoon with trepidation and concern and anger, it was something different.
Jungkook tried not to be too excited, but he couldn’t help it–everything he felt showed on his face, it was something his parents had always told him–in a negative way–while it was something Jimin and Taehyung claimed to love.
So far, though, Jimin was the only one who outwardly noticed and reacted to them…Although there were often small, amused smiles when Namjoon caught Jungkook’s sweet, happy scent on occasion. Taehyung was more subtle about it, like with most things.
But one afternoon, Jungkook and Namjoon had returned without paying any attention to their surroundings, stumbling into the manor, both exhausted from their run and not realizing that Taehyung and Jimin were in the main living room area. Taehyung was sprawled out on his back, with Jimin slumped forward on his lap, as Taehyung drank deeply from him. Jimin’s hips were rocking forward intermittently, and one of Taehyung’s hands was buried in his hair, holding his head to the side, while the other was resting on Jimin’s bare ass, encouraging his movements.
Jungkook was immediately about to lurch forward, before remembering Namjoon was beside him, glancing the Alpha’s way before his head snapped back toward where Taehyung and Jimin were.
Taehyung became especially possessive when he was feeding, and he was only okay with Jungkook and Jimin being present, that was something he had made clear a long time ago…
Except he didn’t immediately glare at them as they stepped into the room, instead taking his time for his eyes to slide across to where the two werewolves had stepped into the manor, not looking at all bothered by their presence. Which was natural for Jungkook, but with Namjoon…
Jungkook’s breathing caught in his throat as he watched Taehyung, and the way that his eyes clearly fixed onto Namjoon.
And Namjoon was staring back.
Taehyung’s gaze was heavy as his lips moved away from Jimin’s pale throat, blood darkening his pink mouth as his tongue flicked along his bottom lip. Jungkook knew what Taehyung was tasting–he might not enjoy blood the way that Taehyung did, but he had shared enough bloody kisses with both of his lovers that he knew the differences in their blood.
But Taehyung was kind of looking at Namjoon as though he wanted to taste him …
And Jungkook would love to see that–and he was pretty sure Jimin agreed with him.
He could smell the tension building between them–when they ate dinner together, when they were out in the back orchard and when they fell asleep together. It wasn’t often Namjoon actually slept in the same space that Taehyung did, but it was becoming more frequent.
He didn’t know what was going to happen next–he didn’t know how to take that next step. He and Namjoon were close and there were times– so many times –that it seemed like Namjoon wanted to smother him with kisses. Namjoon’s dragon eyes would be fiery as he held Jungkook close, and they would close as he inhaled through his nose–clearly inhaling Jungkook’s scent–and Jungkook knew Namjoon wanted.
And he watched Namjoon with Jimin, and it was so clear that they wanted each other, from the way Jimin would giggle and blush and Namjoon would puff out his chest, always so proud when he was able to help their fairy.
And Taehyung….Jungkook knew his boyfriend, his lover, one of his most favourite people in the whole world.
And he knew that Taehyung wanted Namjoon, and Namjoon wanted Taehyung.
It was just a matter of time.
Taehyung acted as though it was nothing when he muttered an invitation for Namjoon to join them when he was working in his spiral tower. Jungkook and Jimin were already up there, Jimin was flying up near the ceiling and dusting, while Jungkook was sprawled out on his stomach on a pile of pillows, and his head perked up when Namjoon stepped slowly in the room a few hours later.
“Joonie!” Jungkook cried out happily, and Jimin lowered himself slightly, the waving of his wings together becoming quicker in his excitement. Taehyung acted as though he didn’t even notice Namjoon coming in, although Jungkook saw the way his jaw tightened slightly and his fingers faltered where they were holding his paintbrush.
He’d started painting again, and he’d been using a lot of red–like the life blood he drank, and the colour of an Alpha’s eyes…
Namjoon moved to sit beside Jungkook, knowing how important this space was to Taehyung and what it meant to be invited in. He made sure to be as non-threatening as possible, sitting just in the corner of Taehyung’s eyesight so that the vampire could watch him if he felt the need while easily continuing with his art.
Jungkook had been happily chattering to both his boyfriends as he flipped through a book, and while Jimin had been responding, Taehyung had been absorbed in what he was doing, and only humming occasionally. Now that Namjoon was in the room, Jungkook’s conversation got louder and more excitable since he had someone's full attention, and once Jimin finished dusting, he lowered himself down to rest on Jungkook’s lap, smiling widely at Namjoon.
Taehyung couldn’t help but watch them.
He could barely concentrate on the canvas that was set up on the large easel–his eyes kept drifting toward the three men who were sitting on the pile of cushions that Jungkook had slowly been bringing into the tower. It was sweet, the way Jungkook just wanted to be close to them all the time, even when they weren’t saying or doing anything. He would help Jimin with anything he wanted or needed around the house, and sit outside with him when he was in his garden. He would curl up in the corner of Taehyung’s tower when Taehyung was renovating it for the hundredth time, always there to assist if Taehyung asked but happy to sit in silence if Taehyung just needed things to be quiet. He would run with Namjoon almost every morning and the pair would fight together, rolling around happily in the grass in their wolf form, underneath the sun.
Jimin, though…Jimin wasn’t as clingy as Jungkook. But he definitely liked being close to Namjoon.
It made Taehyung’s heart squeeze with something like jealousy–which was honestly not something that he had so sharply felt in years. But it wasn’t that he wanted to push Namjoon away from his lovers…He wanted to be sitting there with both of them, beside the Alpha.
Even Namjoon’s scent wasn’t bothering him as much as he did before. He wasn’t as sensitive to smells as Jungkook, or Namjoon either, but his senses were still more attuned than a humans, and Alpha’s had always turned his stomach, ever since he was young and had watched them tear his family apart. Jungkook’s scent was more subtle, and sweeter as an Omega werewolf, and Taehyung had long ago fallen in love with his smell, but Namjoon–it had taken some getting used to.
And now he enjoyed the way it was interwoven into their home, along with all three of their scents.
He smelt like he belonged there.
Still, when Jimin started laughing, and his whole body began to rock in the way it did when he started laughing right from his stomach, and he tumbled off Jungkook’s lap, and against Namjoon, Taehyung couldn’t help the hiss in his throat. It wasn’t loud, but it was loud enough for all of them to hear, even Jimin, and his upper lip had pulled back, showing his fangs.
It was embarrassing, although he wouldn’t admit it, the way his emotions got the better of him when it came to his boys, and apparently, that included Namjoon.
Namjoon didn’t pull away instantly from Jimin, but he helped to steady the fairy with a careful hand to his waist, before straightening up, and Jungkook looked over at Taehyung with a concerned expression.
Jimin didn’t look worried though.
His lips curled in the corner, and his wings flickered together quickly.
“Come here, Jungkookie,” he whispered, reaching out and lacing his fingers together with Jungkook’s.
“But we–” Jungkook looked between Taehyung and then toward Namjoon, trying not to make it too obvious but everyone in the room knew what he was worried about. Namjoon didn’t appear concerned, though, and he just reached out to gently ruffle Jungkook’s hair.
“Go with Jiminie, little wolf,” he said quietly, and Jungkook pressed his lips together nervously, looking toward from under thick eyelashes. Taehyung nodded at him slowly before rolling his shoulders and closing his eyes to collect himself. He heard and felt more than saw Jungkook and Jimin getting up and slowly leaving the room, closing the door behind them, leaving just the Alpha and the vampire.
Namjoon rose to his feet slowly while Taehyung put down his paintbrush and tried to gather his thoughts.
“You want them,” Taehyung said bluntly.
“Yes,” Namjoon nodded without hesitation and Taehyung couldn’t help his scowl, and the way his gums ached as his eyes skimmed over the Alpha before meeting the eyes that were fixed on him.
“You want to take them from me,” Taehyung continued and Namjoon shook his head firmly.
“No,” he replied. “I want all of you.” Taehyung’s expression was schooled carefully, but he knew his eyes must have widened imperceptibly. Namjoon was staring at him directly, meeting his eyes in a stubborn gaze that said he wasn’t going to be backing down first. Taehyung stared back at him unblinking, knowing that he could do this for hours without moving a muscle, but the thing was, he wanted answers. He wanted Namjoon to tell him more, to keep talking, even though he didn’t want to say that, he didn’t want to ask.
And Namjoon seemed to sense that, and even though he was the Alpha, even though he was technically the top of his food chain, he backed down, and continued without another word from Taehyung.
“I want Jungkook,” Namjoon stated and Taehyung’s nostrils flared. “And I want Jimin,” he continued and Taehyung knew that his gaze was slowly bleeding red. “And I want you . And I think you want me too, even though you’re fucking stubborn about it.” Taehyung was pretty sure he hadn’t heard Namjoon cuss before.
“I’m not being—”
“ Stubborn ,” Namjoon repeated, and there was a hint of a smirk at the corner of his lips.
He was teasing Taehyung, Taehyung realized, something that in the past few decades, only Jungkook and Jimin had done. His eyebrows pulled together, lips pressing together tightly, trying to figure out how he felt about it. Namjoon was staring at him, and Taehyung was staring back, and the tension in the air was getting thicker, they could both feel it—Namjoon could probably smell it, given his attuned senses.
“What makes you think I want you?” Taehyung finally asked through gritted teeth, his fangs itching to drop, something that had barely happened in the past few hundred years, usually only something that happened when Jimin or Jungkook were trying to provoke him into drinking from them.
“Because I’ve seen you watch me with Jungkook and Jimin and even though half the time you look like you want to rip my head off, the other half of the time you look like you want to join us,” Namjoon replied with a loose shrug before he was raising his eyebrows and leaning in close. “And because I can smell you ,” he added in a low voice that made Taehyung shiver, a physical response that Namjoon easily saw, and it made him smirk. The silence between them was charged as they stared at each other, neither of them wanting to be the first to look away. Taehyung had the advantage, but he was obviously feeling unnerved, because his eyelids fluttered as Namjoon’s began to glow red, and the Alpha smirked. Taehyung rolled his eyes at the pleased expression on Namjoon’s face, and his nose purposefully wrinkled as he sniffed in exaggeration.
“You know you’re going to need to get past this thing you have with werewolves, right?” Namjoon stated before finally leaning back slightly and crossing his arms over his chest. “Jungkookie acts like it doesn’t bother him, but it does. And I know that you don’t actually dislike our scents, as much as you act like it.” Taehyung’s gaze snapped back to Namjoon, and even though there was anger in his expression, there was uncertainty as well, and it didn’t look as though he knew what to respond. Namjoon inhaled through his nose, in a way that made it clear he was scenting Taehyung, and his own expression softened. “I know what happened to your family,” he said softly. “And I’m sorry. But you’re in love with a werewolf, you know Jungkookie isn’t bad or evil …And you know I’m not either.” Taehyung stared at him, and once again, and silence felt as though it was so charged with electricity that it was only seconds from sparking into a fire.
Before very slowly, begrudgingly, Taehyung dipped his head in a nod.
“You’re right,” he conceded, in a voice that was so quiet Namjoon wouldn’t have heard if his senses weren’t so attuned.
Namjoon blinked.
He clearly hadn’t been expecting that from the vampire.
“I’m right about the other thing as well,” he replied after a moment.
“What thing?”
“You want me,” Namjoon stated and Taehyung didn’t try to deny it this time, pressing his lips together firmly. Namjoon exhaled through his nose unsteadily as he waited, even though he so desperately wanted to move, to take just one step forward and close the space that was between him and the vampire that he had been admiring since they had first been introduced.
But he waited.
And Taehyung stared at him, frozen like a beautiful, marble statue.
Until suddenly, he lunged forward.
Namjoon gasped as Taehyung’s mouth pressed together with his, instantly feeling the bite of the tips of his fangs against his lips. He stumbled back a few steps at the force of Taehyung’s kiss, and Taehyung immediately used that momentum to his advantage, continuing to push him back until his back hit against the wall. Namjoon let out a groan, the pain fleeting at the feeling of Taehyung’s hands on his hips keeping him pinned in place making his mind whip in circles.
A thrill surged through Taehyung at the fact that Namjoon wasn’t attempting to fight back, not even struggling even though he absolutely could. It filled Taehyung with a satisfaction he couldn’t tamper down, his kisses becoming rougher, and deeper, and Namjoon groaned, his own fangs beginning to drop from his gum. Taehyung pushed against Namjoon, his fingers purposefully clawing and digging into the shirt he was wearing, tearing at the fabric and scratching at his skin beneath.
“Shit, I– Taehyungie ,” Namjoon groaned out as he finally reached up for Taehyung. But it wasn’t to try and push him away, to overpower him and take control of the kiss, it was to grab at his arms and hold him in place–pull him in closer , in fact. Namjoon’s kisses were different from Jimin and Jungkook’s–and those had been the only kisses that Taehyung had known for a long time, and there was this disorientating thrill that came with finding a pace that worked for himself and the werewolf.
It made him feel needy.
It made him thirsty .
It made him want to bite.
One of his fangs pricked at Namjoon’s lower lip and the taste of his blood instantly flooded into Taehyung’s mouth, and he abruptly pulled back with a hiss. Namjoon held onto his biceps, not letting him go too far, even as he saw Taehyung’s eyes glowing a ruby red, so similar to his own Alpha red.
“Don’t,” Taehyung warned with a growl, but Namjoon held on firmly and Taehyung felt a spike of arousal at the strength that Namjoon displayed so easily. He would be able to overpower him, but it would be difficult, far more difficult than it was when Jungkook or Jimin were holding him.
“I’ll let you bite me,” Namjoon returned as he met his eyes steadily and Taehyung’s eyes flared.
“ What ?”
“I’ll let you bite me,” Namjoon repeated. “If you let me fuck you.” Taehyung froze as he stared at the werewolf.
It wasn’t just the invitation of the bite that had him going still.
He could count on one hand the amount of times that he had bottomed in the past century. Jimin didn’t like topping, and Jungkook preferred to bottom, only asking to be inside Taehyung a handful of times.
Taehyung found it hard to be that vulnerable, but when it came to Jimin and Jungkook–it was easier with them.
And now Namjoon…
But Namjoon was offering to be vulnerable as well.
Namjoon was offering him his throat .
The Alpha was trusting him with his throat.
That wasn’t something Taehyung took lightly.
He knew how big that was for Namjoon–not just as an Alpha, or a werewolf, but also as a person . Taehyung was someone who had made his displeasure with Namjoon very clear from the start–and even though things had developed recently…Namjoon was offering him his throat .
And he was asking for Taehyung to be vulnerable in return.
“...Okay,” Taehyung managed to say, his voice coming out rough and Namjoon’s eyes flashed before a smile curled his lips up in one corner, clearly pleased and incredibly aroused.
Which in turn made Taehyung’s gums ache and his cock strain against the the cotton of his pants and his eyes flashed down to the left side Namjoon’s throat, and Namjoon purposefully lifted his chin, giving him a better view. And his neck was glorious, a vein prominent along one side that Taehyung’s eyes narrowed in on and watched pulse .
“Fuck me first,” Taehyung ordered in a gruff tone as his eyes snapped back to Namjoon’s, whose eyebrows quirked upward slightly in surprise. “I’m not going to be able to think straight once I start,” he confessed, probably the most honest and open thing he had ever said to the Alpha.
The growl and the way Namjoon threw himself at Taehyung showed how much he appreciated it.
This kiss was a lot messier–feral, almost. Their teeth clacked together, and Taehyung felt Namjoon’s own fangs against his tongue, and his lips, and he found that he loved the way it felt. Jimin’s small teeth were blunt, and Jungkook was always so sweet and submissive with his kisses, his fangs always tucked away in his gums, but not Namjoon. They tore at each others clothes and then fell into the pile of pillows that Jungkook had so meticulously gathered from around the house. It smelt like him, and Jimin, and Namjoon seemed to like that as much as Taehyung did, leaning into one of the pillows and inhaling deeply, which just made Taehyung even more attracted to him.
There were small vials of oil with a relaxant that Jimin made specially for them and kept well stocked and tucked around the house, and Taehyung grabbed one out from the bottom shelf nearby and shoved it into Namjoon’s hand. It was only then that Namjoon hesitated, glancing up at Taehyung as though to check in with him before slowly taking the glass vial from Taehyung’s hand. Taehyung gritted his teeth together and looked off to the side, because he wasn’t prepared for the way his still heart took a swoop in his chest, feeling incredibly exposed with his thighs open and his clothes dumped to the side–
“Look at me,” Namjoon’s request was soft, but it wasn’t a question.
Taehyung complied.
Their eyes met and neither of them blinked as they stared at each other as Namjoon braced himself over Taehyung’s body. Namjoon managed to open the vial and pour some oil over his fingers, his hand finding their way between Taehyung’s thighs and pressing against his hole. His eyes never left Taehyung’s, and Taehyung knew that if he was still breathing, this would be the point where he’d be holding it. It felt like Namjoon could see inside him as he fingered him open while never moving his eyes away.
Taehyung wanted this–he wanted the Alpha to fuck him, and to feel the way his muscular body began to overheat and bead with sweat and smell his skin when he was buried inside Taehyung and overcome with need.
That didn’t mean he didn’t feel a sliver of concern that made his body slightly tense.
Being so vulnerable under an Alpha wasn’t something that he had ever thought would happen.
It was as though Namjoon sensed that, as though he knew that without words, just the way his expression became softer, something tender, and he slowed his pace before coming to a stop. Taehyung’s gaze sharpened as he looked back at Namjoon, who just gave him a gentle smile before he was rolling them over so that he was laid back in the pillows and Taehyung was on top.
“Ride me,” Namjoon murmured as he smoothed his palms up the light fuzz of hair on Taehyung’s thighs. Taehyung’s back teeth gritted at the control that Namjoon was giving over to him. The Alpha was conceding and making allowances for Taehyung at almost every turn; making it clear that his concern was first for Taehyung, and their arousal second.
“Yeah,” Taehyung agreed without any further preamble as he dug his knees into the pillows on either side of Namjoon’s hips and lifted himself up. Namjoon didn’t rush him, spreading some oil over his cock before setting the vial aside and waiting as Taehyung slowly lowered himself down. Part of him felt completely overwhelmed by how big Namjoon was–the biggest that Taehyung had ever taken–but the other part of him was determined to watch Namjoon’s reaction.
Namjoon’s eyes rolled back as Taehyung slid all the way down, and even though his fingers kept curling into fists, and Taehyung could see his claws beginning to extend from his nail beds, he didn’t touch Taehyung–he didn’t dig his nails into Taehyung’s thighs or hips as he obviously tried to keep himself under control.
Taehyung didn’t want that, not with how out of control he felt.
He wanted Namjoon to be right there with him.
“Touch me,” he said through gritted teeth as he adjusted to Namjoon inside of him. His vision was completely red as he looked down at Namjoon, the werewolf staring up at him with wide eyes, his lips parted in awe. “ Touch me ,” Taehyung repeated, and Namjoon reacted instantly, reaching out for him with big hands, and his claws instantly digging into his hips. “ Fuck .”
It felt good.
Everything felt good.
Namjoon waited until Taehyung started to roll his hips before he was taking over, adjusting until his feet were flat and steadying Taehyung with his hands before fucking upward. His thrusts were hard and deep and it knocked Taehyung’s body forward, his hands coming down hard on Namjoon’s chest to steady himself.
Taehyung’s body jerked, and it was his turn to dig his fingers into Namjoon’s firm pecs–ones that he had heard Jimin and Jungkook both wax poetry about–and he had to agree with them.
“ Shit ,” he hissed as Namjoon’s cock carved deeper inside of him with every thrust. It had been so long since he had been fucked like this–since he had let himself be fucked like this–and someone with this strength? He couldn’t remember if he had ever let someone with so much supernatural strength fuck him. He’d never trusted anyone enough.
He was glad he waited until Namjoon.
Taehyung’s body arched and shook as he tried to keep himself upright, but he couldn’t—not with the way Namjoon kept filling him. He could feel his orgasm building up inside of him, spiralling a lot faster than it usually did, and he didn’t try to stop it.
“Bite me,” Namjoon gasped out and Taehyung’s body stiffened, his fangs instantly elongating with poison already dripping from the point. It wasn’t strong–it definitely wouldn’t be strong for Namjoon, but the paralytic poison would help to take away the initial sting of Taehyung’s bite.
“You’re sure?” Taehyung asked, already staring down at the vein that was prominent up the left side of Namjoon’s neck, desperately wanting to sink his teeth into his skin and drink . Namjoon’s hips didn’t stop, bucking upward roughly a few more times before jerking his head in a few nods.
“I’m sure,” he gasped out, and Taehyung took his word for it, lunging forward and burying his face in the curve of Namjoon’s neck and bit down the instant he found the best spot.
Namjoon cried out before he was clutching at Taehyung’s slim waist and orgasming with rough moans.
And Taehyung…Taehyung was pretty sure he came instantly, the second the taste of Namjoon’s blood covered his tongue.
Down the spiral staircase on the floor below, in Taehyung’s room where Jimin had bundled Jungkook after they had left the Alpha and vampire, Jungkook could hear everything. He was a whimpering mess as Jimin rode him, nosing under Jungkook’s chin and whispering how good he was being, his mind in a complete spin about what was actually happening. He clung to Jimin as the fairy’s movements became quicker, and he came the moment he heard Namjoon’s roar as Taehyung’s fangs slid into his neck.
The moment between Taehyung and Namjoon broke the delicate, spun glass-like separation of friendship and much, much, completely shattering it apart.
Jimin remembered when he and Taehyung let themselves be with Jungkook for the first time–he remembered how insatiable they all were in the first couple of months. They could barely keep their hands and mouths off each other, a lot of the time they only slowed down when Jimin and Jungkook needed sleep. Taehyung went into a blood frenzy a few weeks after Jungkook fell into bed with them–something that he could control, but hadn’t experienced since he was a fledgling.
The pouting that they saw from Jungkook when he realized that Taehyung had to stop drinking from them until the haze passed had been so painfully adorable Taehyung couldn’t look him in the eye for the rest of the day.
And now–it was as though they were going through that all over again, except this need was even stronger and more possessive, with a dangerous edge that made everything burn even hotter.
The first time all four of them slept together, and Namjoon manhandled Jimin underneath him, Taehyung had hissed at the back of his throat, his whole body stiffening. Namjoon hadn’t tried to intimidate Taehyung in any way, but he had definitely made it clear he wasn’t backing down as he met Taehyung’s eyes.
A few tense moments passed, before Jimin’s small hand reached up, gently touching Namjoon’s jaw and directing his gaze back down to where he was, and Jungkook’s fingers brushed against Taehyung’s lips, distracting him.
“Kiss me,” Jungkook whispered, and Taehyung’s eyes were still burning red, but his eyelids flickered several times before he dropped forward, and his kiss began slow and gentle, before becoming something fierce. The sounds of Namjoon and Jimin making love beside them spurred them on, and when Taehyung flipped Jungkook over, so that he was on all fours and facing Namjoon and Jimin, it felt as though something fully slipped into place. Namjoon shifted Jimin into a similar position, so that Jimin and Jungkook could messily kiss as Namjoon and Taehyung fucked into them.
Afterwards, when they laid next to each other, Namjoon reached out his hand toward Taehyung on the pillow above their fairy’s head, and Taehyung took it without hesitation.
Jungkook and Namjoon came back from their morning runs or their time in the shed out the back rumpled and love bites glowing on their golden skin most days. Jimin seemed to take almost triple the amount of time in the orchard and in the gardens when Namjoon was with him, and his clothes had a strange habit of ending up dirty.
And Taehyung and Namjoon…
It was like they became wild animals when they were together, especially in the first few weeks that followed their first interaction.
Jimin loved it.
Jungkook loved it more.
He loved watching them together–his eyes would flicker gold, his Omega clearly stimulated watching the Alpha and vampire together, completely hard inside his pants but never showing any effort to get off until someone else prompted him.
It was working.
They were working.
They weren’t perfect, but they hadn’t been before either–perfection wasn’t the goal , happiness was.
And they had found that.
There had been friction and fights that had happened before Namjoon–they had happened before Jungkook , given how contrasting Jimin and Taehyung were. Decades later, they knew each other inside and out and didn’t often get too loud with their disagreements, but that didn’t mean they didn’t still happen, and Jungkook didn’t like fights, but he could still be stubborn. Now with Namjoon, who was incredibly understanding and patient but still absolutely had a quiet, Dominating presence, it was expected that the first proper disagreement that would happen between them would be with Taehyung and Namjoon.
They were wrong.
“Something’s wrong with Jungkookie,” Jimin’s eyebrows were pulled together as he stroked his fingers through Jungkook’s hair. The young werewolves' skin was clammy with sweat–something that Jimin had noticed kept coming back even after he patted down his face with a damp cloth. “I don’t know what’s happening…” Taehyung had his arms crossed firmly over his chest and his lips set in a thin line as he looked down at where their puppy was curled up under a pile of blankets and clothes collected from all over their home.
It wasn’t unusual for Jungkook to want to be surrounded by their scents, but he had been sleeping more than normal recently, and then that morning, they had realized that Jungkook hadn’t gone out for his regular morning run with Namjoon. He and Namjoon had slept in Jungkook’s bedroom the night before, Taehyung and Jimin in the vampire's room given the werewolves had gone out running late the night before and Jimin wanted Taehyung all to himself. Jimin hadn’t been expecting to see anyone in Jungkook’s room that morning, and it had confused him that The Alpha had still gone for his run, which Jimin also found surprising, given the way the Alpha would fuss over them and worry. It felt out of character for Namjoon to just leave when Namjoon clearly wasn’t okay.
What was even stranger, was the way it seemed to be bothering Jimin more than Taehyung, whose complete attention was on Jungkook, while Jimin kept looking over his shoulder, toward the door.
It seemed as though Namjoon spent even longer out for a run than usual, Jimin was sometimes asleep when their wolves slipped out in the morning but it was very rare Taehyung was, and he was aware that more time passed than usual even as he tried to calm Jimin down. But Jimin was getting frantic, and Taehyung’s own worry was building in his chest as Jimin woke Jungkook and tried to have him drink some more of another concoction he’d collected from his stash, but Jungkook just whimpered and shook his head.
“Puppy, please…” Jimin sounded so worried, and Taehyung moved closer to rest his hand on Jimin’s shoulder, before jerking up straight as he heard Namjoon approaching. “Namjoonie?” Jimin’s head snapped up, responding to Taehyung’s reactions before looking toward the door. It took another minute before Namjoon reached the door, only wearing a loose pair of pants that were tied low on his hips and a thin shirt, and his eyebrows knitted together in concern as Jimin stood up and glared at him. “Why did you leave without Jungkookie? You never leave without him–and he’s sick ! Did you know he was sick?!” Jimin demanded, detaching from Jungkook’s side for the first time in hours and storming toward Namjoon.
“Jiminie–” Namjoon’s eyes widened in surprise, looking over Jimin’s shoulder and then back at the raging fairy, whose eyes were sparking the silver that only came out when he was really upset.
“Jimin-ah,” Taehyung spoke softly from where he had moved to take Jungkook’s hand, but Jimin’s focus was on Namjoon.
“You didn’t even come and tell us that he was sick! You just left him!” Jimin continued to rant, ignoring as Namjoon tried to interject, although obviously trying to do it respectfully, which really wasn’t getting him anywhere. Taehyung kind of felt sorry for him, but the fairy’s wrath was something he and Jungkook had both had their turn enduring, and now it seemed to be Namjoon’s time to experience it. “How could you? I thought you cared about us–at least Jungkookie –oomph–” Taehyung’s head snapped back up at the loud growl that ripped out of Namjoon’s throat, his eyes flashing red as he dipped his head closer to Jimin’s face. He felt himself tense up, so much of him crying out to step between the werewolf and the fairy, but he held himself back, staying by Jungkook’s side. Just a few short weeks ago, he absolutely would have thrown himself between the two, unable to hold back his instincts, but he was able to stop himself this time.
“ Do not imply I don’t love Jungkook, or you, or Taehyung,” the Alpha’s voice rumbled as he stared down at Jimin, not touching him but towering over him. Jimin’s feet landed flat on the floor, his wings folding together and pressing against his back as he stared up at Namjoon with wide eyes, his breathing coming out shaky.
There was a sudden–almost scary –silence that suddenly stretched across the room, and even the small, whimpery breaths from Jungkook seemed to completely quiet, as though in response to the dominating presence that filled the room.
Namjoon and Jimin stared at each other, their faces only inches apart, and Taehyung’s teeth gritted together, eyes flicking between the pair of them.
“...I’m sorry,” Jimin finally whispered, his shoulders slumping forward and his head drooping forward, his shame clear. But Namjoon didn’t make him hang there, like a wilting sunflower, he immediately wrapped his arms around Jimin and cuddled him close.
“It’s okay, sweetheart,” he murmured, nuzzling his nose against Jimin’s temple, and his pearly-pink wings immediately flickered happily, the colour returning like a flood of flood that made Taehyung’s eyelids bat. “It’s okay, I know you’re just worried.” Jimin nodded rapidly, pressing against Namjoon before his head was turning so that he could look back at Jungkook.
“Jungkookie…”
“Our puppy is fine–he’s tired and hot and uncomfortable, but he’ll be fine,” Namjoon responded, sounding completely calm, the opposite of how Jimin and Taehyung were feeling. “He’s going into heat.”
“ Heat ?” Jimin cried out, pulling away from Namjoon and spinning to look at Taehyung, wide-eyed. “I didn’t even think–he’s never even gone through a heat before!” He looked frantic, panicked, and Jungkook started reacting immediately, instantly beginning to toss and turn again and Taehyung ran a cool hand over his face to reassure him.
“It’s–” Namjoon broke off and then seemed to turn red as Taehyung and Jimin stared at him, which was an adorable shift from how big and intimidating he had been just a few moments ago.
“He wants you to mate him,” Taehyung uttered. It all made sense, Namjoon was right, Taehyung knew that–Jimin did as well. Jimin actually felt a bit stupid for not realizing, given he had been there when Taemin had gone through his first heat, it was just that Jungkook had never had a heat. “He wants you to bite him,” Taehyung added, and something burned in his voice as he said it. “As an Alpha .”
A strong possessiveness.
Almost a jealousy.
It was Jimin’s turn to look between his two lovers with wide eyes.
“I…” Namjoon hesitated, blinking a couple of times so that the sharp, bright red hue of his eyes faded a couple of shades, clearing his throat before speaking again. “I wouldn’t bite Jungkookie without a conversation while he was lucid. I wouldn’t do that to him…To any of us.” Taehyung barely hesitated for a moment before he was nodding, shaking his head sharply before stepping back.
“He wants you–his Omega wants you,” Taehyung said quietly, and the corner of Namjoon’s mouth curled in a small smile, and he leaned in to kiss Taehyung softly. Jimin’s annoyance from earlier had completely melted away, but he still rolled his eyes when Taehyung turned the kiss into something firmer, Jimin’s attention shifting back to Jungkook.
He was calmer already, just at the presence of Namjoon, of the Alpha–and Jimin remembered that being the case with Taemin. Jimin had been there when he had presented, and he remembered the aftermath of Taemin’s first few heats, which he spent alone, and he had been completely wrung out and sickly and unsatisfied–that completely changed once he had found his Alpha, Choi Minho. It didn’t necessarily have to be an Alpha who helped an Omega; werewolves just had a way of being able to comfort each other through heats and ruts in a way that others couldn’t.
Jimin didn’t like that, that he couldn’t help Jungkook when he was clearly in distress, but that was okay.
Because Namjoon could help.
“Hey there, little wolf,” Namjoon’s voice was soft as he stripped off his sweaty shirt, keeping it bundled up in one arm as his other hand brushed gently through Jungkook’s hair. “Can you wake up for Alpha? For Jiminie and Tae?” Jungkook made a mumbling noise under his breath, his head turning to the side, as though sensing Namjoon’s presence. His head tipped backwards, his nose lifting to chase after Namjoon’s hand, sniffing a few times.
He really did look like a puppy.
It took a few minutes, but then Jungkook’s eyes were opening, his gaze all blurry and hazy as he looked around, his eyes latching onto Namjoon and his expression immediately shifting.
“ Alpha ,” he exhaled, reaching out for him with grabby hands and a needy look, and Jimin and Taehyung immediately moved to give them space.
Watching them together…Taehyung reached out an arm for Jimin, tugging him closer before they fell into the large arm chair in the corner of Jungkook’s room. Jungkook managed to get his hands on the shirt that Namjoon had taken off and had buried his face in it, letting out a high pitched whine that his lovers hadn’t heard before. He started babbling, and at some point he noticed Jimin and Taehyung in the corner of the room, out of reach, and it sounded as though he was going to start sobbing with the way he called out for them.
It was only once all four of them were on the bed that Jungkook presented himself for Namjoon, tears streaming down his sticky face and arching his back, and Namjoon’s expression was feral in a way that neither Jimin or Taehyung had ever seen before. Taehyung’s hand had slipped inside Jimin’s pants before Jungkook whined and opened his mouth greedily.
“Give the puppy what he wants,” Namjoon’s voice was rough as he looked over at Taehyung, and Taehyung’s flash of a smirk was devilish as his hands gripped at Jimin’s hips and pushed him closer to Jungkook’s face.
Taehyung held Jimin and controlled his hips as he fucked into Jungkook’s mouth, Jungkook eagerly taking Jimin’s cock, drooling all over him and whimpering. Jimin's sounds were almost as desperate as Jungkook's, his body limp between his lover's bodies, his head fallen back against Taehyung’s shoulder, and Namjoon…
Namjoon seemed to just barely be able to hold onto his control. His fangs were showing, his teeth gritted together as he stared down at Jungkook’s slim waist, to where his hips flared and then there was his ass…Jungkook was rocking back, slamming himself down against Namjoon’s cock before throwing himself forward and practically choking himself on Jimin’s cock. He was whimpering and crying out, and when Namjoon looked down to where his cock was disappearing inside of Jungkook, he was covered in slick– dripping with it.
Jungkook was wetter than usual, needier, louder–everything was intensified, and it was his first proper heat–it was going to take a lot for him to be satisfied.
He was lucky he had three lovers to look after him.
“ Oh …You’re going to knot him?” Jimin gasped out, once Jungkook had sucked two orgasms out of him and he was slumped back against a hungry looking Taehyung.
“ Yesyesyesyesyesyes ,” Jungkook instantly started chanting at just the mention of a knot, throwing himself back against Namjoon even faster. It wasn’t often that Namjoon knotted–and when it happened, it was usually Jungkook, since his body was literally built to take a knot. Jimin had worked up to it a couple of times, his body looking absolutely tiny when he was held down on Namjoon’s knot, the Alpha looming over him as they were locked in place. Taehyung, on the other hand, didn’t think he would ever be able to handle it, but he loved watching Jimin and Jungkook take the Alpha.
“You going to take my knot, little wolf?” Namjoon growled, and he fucked into Jungkook so hard that the bed was moving, the headboard knocking back against the wall behind it. His movements eventually shoved Jungkook down so that he was flat on the bed, gasping for breath as he tried to keep his hips lifted.
“Yes, Alpha, yes, yes –I wan’–I wanna take your knot!” Jungkook cried out, tears dripping off his chin, and even though Jimin was weak, he couldn’t stop himself from falling back forward to lick at the dampness on Jungkook’s cheeks.
“Pretty puppy,” Jimin’s voice was dazed, and Taehyung helped to steady him. Even though he was hard, and desperately wanted to sink inside Jimin’s warmth, or take his own turn with Jungkook, he needed to make sure that Jungkook was okay first–that all of them were okay first.
Namjoon was right, that Jungkook would be okay; heat was normal . But…It was Jungkook’s first one, and Jungkook was his baby, and Taehyung just needed a little more reassurance.
Afterwards, after Namjoon had fucked several orgasms out of Jungkook, after he had knotted him and shoved him into the haphazard nest that surrounded them, after their bodies were no longer locked together–Taehyung knelt down on the bed. Namjoon looked up from beneath his sweaty fringe, from where he was scenting Jungkook thoroughly, and he seemed to sense what Taehyung needed as he gently rolled Jungkook’s body closer to the vampire.
“Taehyungie,” Jungkook mumbled out, blinking up at Taehyung, who smiled softly down at him, stroking a cool finger down the side of his burning hot face.
“Hi, puppy,” he murmured quietly, gathering Jungkook in closer, shifting back against some pillows so he could lay back with Jungkook in his arms. Namjoon stayed where he was for a while longer to catch his breath, before he was carefully rolling off the bed while making sure he left Jungkook’s nest in place. He knew the Omega would work on it more later, would probably spend a while fussing over it, given how pedantic he could be, and he could only imagine how many more clothes would end up on the bed by the end of Jungkook’s heat.
But for now..
Jimin trailed out of the room after Namjoon when he left, just as Namjoon expected him to, and once they were out in the hall–Jimin only wearing a long cotton shirt that hung down around his thighs, while Namjoon was completely naked, sweat glistening across his chest. Jimin was obviously trying not to get distracted, but his eyes kept drifting downward as he spoke to the werewolf.
“You…You said you loved us,” Jimin breathed.
“And you didn’t trust me,” Namjoon responded carefully, looking down at Jimin with a gentle but definite reproving look, which had Jimin’s cheeks turning red. His eyes lowered to where his toes were firmly on the ground, bare and turning in adorably, while the corners of his wings turned down in shame.
“I…I was worried about Jungkookie,” Jimin said quietly. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have–I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I shouldn’t have said that to you. I’m sorry,” he apologised again, his shoulders drooping. Namjoon was quiet for a moment before his big hand reached out to cup under Jimin’s chin and lift his face.
“Come here, beautiful,” Namjoon murmured, and Jimin’s body melted forward in relief, the Alpha carefully gathering him up.
“I’m sorry,” Jimin repeated in a mumble as Namjoon lifted him up, easily navigating around his wings, something he’d adapted to quickly. “I’m so, so sorry.”
“I know,” Namjoon replied as he kissed the side of Jimin’s head, lips resting against his soft, downy hair. Jimin hugged him tightly, and they stood like that for a few minutes before the noises in Jungkook’s room began pitching so much higher and louder that they were impossible to ignore. “Shall we go back in?” Namjoon murmured in Jimin’s ear and Jimin nodded, his head still buried in the werewolf’s neck.
“Yes, Alpha,” he murmured, and Namjoon’s eyes flickered red as he walked them back into the bedroom.
The sweet smell of Jungkook’s slick was thick in the air, and his sounds were beautifully desperate and loud. He clung needily to his lovers, not wanting any of them to leave as the day went on. It was only once he was worn out, hours later, that they took the chance to leave in shifts, cleaning themselves off, getting food and water, coming back with some for Jungkook once he woke up.
Jungkook’s heat took almost a week, which was a lot longer than heats usually lasted. For wolves that were born, their heats came naturally, as they matured, usually well before their eighteenth birthdays. When it came to wolves that were bitten and turned, it was always a lot different–it could vary depending on each wolf and their circumstances. Jungkook’s seemed to be triggered by the new dynamic of his lovers, and the Alpha that his Omega clearly wanted to be claimed by.
It was clear that Namjoon’s Alpha wanted to claim Jungkook as well, but true to his word, he held back.
It wasn’t until a few months later, after a lot of discussion, that Namjoon properly bit Jungkook, marking the Omega permanently as his. They waited until the night of a full moon, when they went running through the forest together, going through the proper ritual of Jungkook starting his run earlier and Namjoon hunting him down, chasing him, proving that he was a capable Alpha. Jimin and Jungkook had disappeared earlier in the day–Jimin helping Jungkook wash with sweet smelling oils, putting flowers in his hair and picking out a loose, white cotton shirt to wear.
“He’s not going to be able to keep his hands off you,” Jimin whispered as he finished a braid just above Jungkook’s ear.
“Or his teeth,” Jungkook added with an excited wiggle, and Jimin grinned, shifting around to stand in front of Jungkook, who stared up at him with glittering eyes. Jimin’s eyes drifted over Jungkook–whose hair was longer now, reaching down to his shoulders, and he was so much stronger and bigger than he had been when Jimin had first found him. He looked at the curve of Jungkook’s neck, down to his delicate collarbone that all of them had bitten at one point or another, and then back up to where Namjoon’s teeth were going to permanently mark the young werewolf.
“You’re going to look even prettier than you are now once you have his bite,” Jimin murmured as he brushed his fingers against Jungkook’s neck, just under his left ear, and Jungkook tilted his head to the side to submissively bare himself. Jimin’s smile was small and sincere as his fingers grazed against the soft skin before leaning in to kiss Jungkook on the mouth.
“Thank you, Jiminie,” Jungkook whispered, his eyes closed as he rested his forehead against Jimin’s.
Namjoon knew that Taehyung went out into the woods and looked along the general trail that the wolves went in on the full moon. They usually ran toward the creek, and then up toward the mountains, and while there hadn’t been any other issues with hunters since the night Taehyung had found them, he still got nervous. While he wouldn’t usually spend his morning looking through the lands that surrounded the manor, tonight was different, it was special. And while Taehyung trusted Namjoon to look after Jungkook, he still just…Wanted to make sure there was no sign of danger.
He wanted them to enjoy their evening; he didn’t want anything to go wrong.
And Namjoon knew that it was only because Taehyung cared so much, not because he was doubting either of their abilities, which is why he pretended not to notice when Taehyung disappeared for an hour in the middle of the day, and then gave him a bruising kiss once he returned.
That night, Jungkook ran first, and Namjoon was practically vibrating out of his skin. Taehyung grabbed at him and even though it was something he still did clumsily, he rubbed his face against Namjoon’s neck, and then forced himself to tilt his chin back, allowing Namjoon to scent him. It was something he had been working on, which both Jimin and Jungkook found adorable while Namjoon found fucking arousing, and it distracted him for a few moments.
But as soon as he had deemed enough time to have passed, he took off into the dark night, leaving Jimin and Taehyung in the manor.
Jungkook loved the idea of being Namjoon’s prey, and his excited, flowery scent was easy to follow after. It wasn’t as though Namjoon’s excited scent was any less palpable, the Omega noting almost immediately once he was found, racing off with a yelp into the tangle of trees. Usually, Namjoon would indulge Jungkook. He would let him run for longer, let him pretend he was faster than Namjoon for just a few extra minutes–but not this time.
This time he tracked Jungkook down with almost a deathly precision, and as soon as he had the chance to leap, he did just that, tackling the Omega to the ground and carefully twisting their bodies around so that it was Namjoon who hit the ground, Jungkook held protectively to his chest. They landed with a thud, but that didn’t bother either of them as Jungkook instantly smashed his lips against Namjoon’s, and the Alpha responded with the same amount of unbridled need.
They tore off each others clothes, their claws scratching at each other, tearing down one anothers backs and chests, and Namjoon’s gums ached with the need to to sink his teeth into Jungkook’s neck as their playfighting went on. Jungkook was strong, and could fight back well, but Namjoon was substantially stronger, and quicker, and smarter, and unlike Jungkook–he actually wanted to win.
“Present for me, Omega,” Namjoon growled into Jungkook’s ear as he flipped Jungkook onto his belly, both of them smeared with dirt from their tumbles on the forest floor. It wasn’t at all graceful and romantic, in some sweeping field of cushiony flowers–there was bark and branches that sharply poked at them and dirt that clung to their hair and knees, leaves caught up in Jungkook’s hair along with the flowers braided in. It was messy and painful and neither of them could think of anywhere more perfect.
Jungkook was whining and crying out as Namjoon fucked him brutally, pinning him down to the ground with just his hips pulled up as he prepared to knot him. Namjoon let out a howl once his knot expanded, leaning forward and sinking his teeth into the left side of Jungkook’s neck, the taste of his blood exploding into his mouth.
Blood wasn’t Namjoon’s thing, that was Taehyung. But Jungkook’s blood in this moment? It tasted sweeter than the sweetest fruit in Jimin’s orchard.
They laid together in the dirt, Namjoon’s arms wrapped around Jungkook as he lapped at the deep bite mark left in his skin.
“I lov’ yuh…” Jungkook’s words were slurred, rubbing his head underneath Namjoon’s chin. “I lov’ you so mu’sh, Alpha.” He was purring, getting louder and louder, and it made Namjoon’s Alpha rumble with happiness, deep in his chest.
Namjoon carried Jungkook back to the manor, both of them completely naked under the bright, full moon, and Jungkook clung to Namjoon the whole way back, smelling of nothing but arousal and contentment. He was kissing and licking at Namjoon’s neck, specifically at his scent gland, clearly wanting to cover the Alpha in his own scent, just how he was marked with Namjoon’s, and Namjoon was more than happy to allow his Omega to do whatever he wanted.
The front door of the manor was thrown open with light from hundreds of candles lighting their way home. Jimin had decorated the entire home, going completely overboard for their mating ceremony, which had Namjoon’s blinking in surprise while Jungkook let out an emotional cry and stumbled out of Namjoon’s arms and toward the fairy. Jimin squeaked as he was scooped up into the werewolves arms, although Jungkook wasn’t as strong as usual, despite the full moon, and the pair barely made it to the large nest that Jimin had attempted to assemble.
He’d known he wouldn’t get it to Jungkook’s liking, but he knew what materials to gather, so that Jungkook could make it once they were all there together.
Jungkook kissed Jimin sloppily, before he was grabbing at Namjoon and Taehyung and pulling them into the nest. Namjoon had managed to hold himself back–not much, just a little, enough that Taehyung had space to kneel down and kiss Jungkook.
Not much time went by before Jungkook was demanding that Taehyung bite him as well, on the opposite side of his neck. Taehyung looked across at Namjoon, and Jimin was holding Jungkook, the pair of them beautifully bare and slightly sweaty from their intense kissing session, watching as the two predators looked back and forth between each other. This night, under the full moon, was an incredibly important night for Namjoon, as an Alpha, claiming Jungkook. Taehyung was holding back, even though he so clearly wanted to bite Jungkook, just like the Omega was pleading for.
But it was also clear he wouldn’t if Namjoon wasn’t comfortable with.
Instead, Namjoon leaned in to kiss Taehyung, nodding before his dark, glittering eyes spun over to where Jungkook and Jimin were and falling into the soft nest beside them. Taehyung moved in close to Jungkook and pulled his lover in close, smothering him with his body, kissing him deeply and sweeping his hands up and down Jungkook’s body, checking him over thoroughly.
“My puppy,” Taehyung whispered lovingly before he was sinking his teeth into Jungkook’s neck on the opposite side of Namjoon’s bite.
It would heal, like all his other bites did, and only leave Namjoon’s mating bite as a permanent mark. That was okay, though, because Taehyung had no problem with leaving his mark over and over again, just like he always had, and did with Jimin as well. Namjoon was similar with them, too. A mating mark from an Alpha could only leave a permanent imprint on another werewolf, which meant he was unable to leave a mark on Jimin–or Taehyung, which had been mentioned very briefly in passing.
But that was okay too. Just like with Taehyung, Namjoon was more than happy to bite them and leave behind the marks of his teeth whenever they asked him for it.
And the night before they went to a market, several weeks later, that was exactly what had happened when they had all been in Taehyung’s room together. When Namjoon walked with Jimin and Jungkook into the nearby town that was filled with bustling crowds, both Jungkook and Jimin proudly wore bites on both sides of their neck, one from Taehyung, and the other from Namjoon. They earned some looks, but Jimin and Jungkook weren’t infrequent visitors to the town, and the vampire bites were never something they had tried to hide, even though it would be so easy. It was exactly the same with Namjoon’s bites–deep and long healed over on Jungkook’s neck, fresh and bruised on Jimin’s.
They weren’t going to hide their love.
“We need to get some more materials–I need to make us some more clothes–and some blankets, something thick? You keep stealing all our blankets to nest with, and Winter is getting closer,” Jimin was mumbling as they walked through the stalls, his wings buzzing rapidly behind him. Jungkook and Namjoon exchanged amused looks, following dutifully after Jimin as he chose stalls to approach and to barter for items, waiting until he was ready to fill their arms.
It was a few hours later that they were leaving, after they had picked up a basketful of baked goods that Jimin was particularly excited about that someone called out to them. Namjoon glanced around in surprise at hearing someone call out Alpha in their direction, given he knew absolutely no one in this area.
“Who is it?” Jimin asked with a confused wrinkle of his nose as he turned to look toward a few people who were stepping away from the business of the small township and were approaching them. Jungkook tilted his head to the side, jam smeared on his upper lip from one of the buns he had stolen from underneath the cloth covering their bakery purchases. Jimin’s attention immediately shifted once he noticed that Jungkook had gotten into the buns and he was attempting to scold him even though it was clear he was holding back a laugh as he swiped away at the jam with his thumb. Namjoon’s attention was more on the approaching couple, positioning himself between Jungkook and Jimin and the two young Omega’s who were looking at him intently.
It took him a moment, but then he recognised them.
They looked very different–and smelt very different, given they weren’t in absolute fear, like the first and only time that Namjoon had seen them before.
“ Alpha ,” it was the taller one with the sunniest smile that Namjoon had ever seen, and they both bowed deeply. Behind Namjoon, Jimin and Jungkook had pressed in close and were peering over his shoulder as the two Omega’s straightened back up.
“ Oh –it’s so good to see you again. I’m so glad you’re both okay,” Namjoon smiled at both of them, wide and sincere. He really didn’t think he would ever see the two Omega’s again–the ones that he had saved from the hunters by distracting them, the night before he had been found by Jungkook.
It felt like an entire lifetime ago.
“We have you to thank for that,” the smaller Omega said, his blonde hair flopping down in front of his eyes. “We really–” he glanced at the werewolf beside him. “We were in a lot of trouble that night, we owe you a lot.” Namjoon’s body jerked in surprise, and Jungkook exchanged a look with Jimin before hiding his smile, already knowing how their Alpha was going to react.
“Wh– no , you don’t owe me anything,” Namjoon instantly responded. “I was just doing the right thing. I couldn’t leave you there.”
“Still, not a lot of Alpha’s would step in to save Omega’s they don’t know from hunters,” the taller Omega dipped his head forward again, the sunny smile dropping off his face briefly. “You saved us that day–we wouldn’t have gotten away without your help.” Both Jimin and Jungkook knew without seeing his face that Namjoon was blushing at the praise. “Oh, I–I’m Hoseok. This is Yoongi.”
“I’m Namjoon,” Namjoon introduced himself before turning his head to the left, and then the right, to where Jimin and Jungkook were standing. “This is Jungkook and Jimin.”
“Are they your pack?” Yoongi asked with an inquisitive tilt of his head and a slight sniff of his nose, undoubtedly being able to pick up on the fact that Jimin wasn’t a werewolf, and also the scent of vampire clung to them.
“Yes,” Namjoon replied without hesitation and Jimin couldn’t help the way he wiggled happily, fluttering a bit closer to Namjoon so that he could press a kiss to his cheek. Jungkook had finished off his bun and was smiling widely as he bowed at the two other Omegas.
“It’s good to meet you,” Yoongi said. “You’re very lucky to have your Alpha.”
“We know,” Jungkook replied in a singsong voice, which had Hoseok’s smile lighting up his face again.
“Our Alpha–Kim Seokjin–he would love to meet you. He’s wanted to thank you ever since you saved us–we didn’t think you lived nearby because we had never seen you around before,” Hoseok continued and Jungkook’s head perked up excitedly. Other than Taemin and his Alpha, there really weren’t a lot of werewolves nearby. “We would love to have you and your pack over for dinner sometime,” he invited them eagerly and Namjoon smiled at them, looking back at Jimin briefly, since Jungkook’s answer was already clear. Jimin smiled back, although there was some pause, which Namjoon understood.
Taehyung.
Taehyung was getting better, he was opening up more about what happened with his parents to all of his lovers, not just Jimin, and Namjoon wasn’t afraid to be blunt with him in ways Jungkook and Jimin couldn’t be. Taemin and his Alpha, Minho, had come to the manor for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It had been tense to begin with, and Taehyung had still remained relatively quiet as the evening had gone on, but he had smiled– without showing his fangs–when they were leaving, and invited them to return.
It may seem like a small thing, but it was huge for them.
Going into a strange pack's home, though, would probably be a bit much right at this moment.
“We would love that sometime,” Namjoon responded, purposefully not saying anything definite. “Do you come to the markets often?”
“Every week,” Hoseok responded with a nod.
“We come once every few months, but…Maybe we should come more?” Namjoon suggested as he glanced back toward Jimin, who was staring at with a soft, content expression.
“We should,” he agreed softly.
“Maybe we’ll see you next time?” Jungkook piped up hopefully, and Yoongi looked at the youngest Omega with a gentle smile.
“Hopefully,” he agreed. Their small talk continued for a few moments later before Jimin needed to swat at Jungkook’s hand as he was trying to go back into basket for another jam bun and Namjoon laughed as he said they should probably go home.
“We’ll see you around soon,” Namjoon said to the two Omega’s, who smiled and waved as they parted ways.
“Let’s go home, Alpha,” Jimin murmured as he flew by Namjoon's side.
“Quicker we get home, the quicker I get another one of those,” Jungkook added as he looked down to where Jimin was safely keeping the sweets tucked away from their puppy.
“Always thinking with your stomach,” he grumbled and Jungkook smirked, lifting his eyebrows and purposefully looking Jimin over.
“Not always ,” he teased and Jimin let out a playful yelp, and Jungkook took off at a run while Jimin gave chase.
Namjoon was left carrying a lot of their purchases from the market, but he was smiling happily as he gathered everything up into his arms and followed after his lovers, on their way home to make their pack whole.
