Notes:

Work Text:

"We've been friends for a long time, haven't we Scotty?"

"Yeah...." Scott said as he eyed his best friend warily,"why do you ask?"

"Well...I was just wondering if, since we are  so close that, I would be able to enact a no judgement clause for some important news that I need to tell you."

"Stiles.....what did you do?"

"Not what....more like who."

Scott got confused as to why Stiles would think he'd be upset about who the other man was with....then a horrifying thought entered his mind.

"Stiles please tell me you're not dating Peter Hale?!"

"What? No I'm not dating Peter."

"Oh thank God," Scott sighed with relief," for a minute there I thought-"

"I'm married to him."

"Wait....what..."

"Yeah, as of last night actually," Stiles said as he waved his hand between them, showing off a very expensive-looking gold band, "neither of us wanted the hassle of a big ceremony so we just decided to elope."

He trailed off, waiting to see what his friend's response would be. A twitch of the eye was the only warning Stiles got before Scott fell to the ground in a dead faint.

"Well fuck....."

He was trying to decide the best way to wake his friend up when his phone went off, blasting the familiar ringtone of his husband.

"Hey Peter."

"Hello sweetheart, were you able to break the news to our resident Alpha?"

"Yeah, but I'm not sure how well he took it," Stiles said as he nudged Scott with his shoe to make sure he was still out," considered he fainted immediately after I told him."

No sooner than he said that, a loud crash followed by a string of curses came over the speaker.

"What the hell was that?!"

"That, my love, was the sound of Derek losing twenty bucks to me in a bet. Now do hurry back, our plane leaves in less than an hour."

Stiles rolled his eyes and hung up the phone. After checking that Scott was still alive, he crept out the front door and left. He could deal with his friend's reaction after the honeymoon.

Way after.
