Chapter Text
Craig knew he wasn't straight since Zahra dared him to ask "the hottest guy in this party" for his number and he already knew which guy wanted to ask, that got him a point in his mental "guys??" list.
The guy was hot and funny and he found Craig funny, so he got his number -and how cool that made him feel got half a point on the list, only half because everyone enjoys getting a number from someone hot- but when he went back and showed Zahra the number, she called him a chicken, and accused him of writing a fake number, and that Craig was a loser or something for not doing the dare.
Obviously Craig went back to get the dude, and he and the guy ended up making out for like an hour or so, showing to Zahra that he totally did get his number. The guy was cool, and bought fries for them -plus more fries that Zahra bought as the loser- and that dumb party was the best of all the dumb parties on high school, because he made out with a hot dude, he got fries, and won Zahra’s dare. Not that he cared about that win now, he and Zahra no longer hanged out, they weren’t friends anymore, so all the bets and dares were worthless.
It just proved that Craig knew he liked chicks AND dudes, so finding Sean hot was normal, everyone in the college did, the guy just had perfect arms, and chest, and legs, and face, everyone knew that. Not-normal would be finding him not-hot, unless you were a lesbian, in which, well, it’d be normal. But to anyone else? Yeah, Sean was hot.
So he didn't take it too seriously -most teachers told him he didn’t take anything serious actually- that he found Sean hot, it was just physical attraction. But then Sean was way better than everyone else, not just playing, but like, in the deep down way.
The guy was Superman!
Literally, a rocking body and farm-grandpa like kindness, but in a cool way. With no kryptonite weakness.
And then after a game, after Sean scored in the last minute. He hugged Craig crazy tight, thanking him for a decent pass, as if anyone on the team was stupid enough to not pass to Sean.
"Craig that pass was so amazing, I could kiss you, man" Sean said smiling, after hugging Craig, and then he hugged him again.
Everything froze, except Craig's chest that was suddenly too warm.
And the team cheered while jumping to them, making a weird hug-pile of players crushing him and Sean.
"Sean, you are so crazy, they had you blocked, but nothing stops our star player!"
"Yeah, and Craig's pass was just amazing!”
“Damm, we played crazy good"
The team kept complimenting Sean, while standing up and trying to carry Sean on top of their heads, but Craig couldn't breath.
Sean was laughing with the team.
They were carrying him like a prince or like a pharaoh or just like the hero of the game he was.
And for the first time after a game, Craig silently went to the showers instead of celebrating with them.
He stood under the cold water. What was wrong with him?
Did he seriously had a crush on Sean?
Finding him handsome was one thing, Craig had eyes.
And he had ears so he knew how much of a good person Sean was.
But how could he be dumb enough to actually get a crush on him?
The team laughs got near.
He wrapped a towel on lower half and went to the locker
Someone touched his shoulder, Craig's dumb heart skipped a beat, and then went crazy, he knew whose hand it was.
"Craig, you alright?" Of course Sean sounded so worried. Craig was part of the team, so the future captain -because everyone knew it was only a matter of time- would be worried for any player.
He laughed and slapped Sean's back, a bit harder than usual, but nothing to Sean's defined back muscles. "Yeah man, just, I’m so sweaty even I couldn't stand it"
He exaggerated a gesture of smelling Sean, without actually moving closer to him, "pppffffua, man, and I thought I smelt bad, but I guess, even Superman sweats sometimes"
Sean laughed, and softly hit Craig's head, "You know I don't really like that nickname"
Craig laughed, "it's just the truth the man."
Sean huffed, "Sure, see you in the bar after my shower to celebrate." And he smiled at Craig before leaving.
He knew he was so dumb, everyone did, but getting a crush on Sean was really one of his dumbest moment
"You know I won't miss it!” He yelled, shrugging off if Sean had actually heard him or not.
