Chapter Text
You sat in the library reviewing your essay for potions when Draco Malfoy walked by with Blaise Zabini. You looked up and followed their path to a more secluded library section. You saw them pull out rolls of parchment and their quills. You smiled to yourself and continued with your essay.
You let out a frustrated sigh and rolled your parchment back up. You stretched and stood up, packing away your supplies. You lifted your bag onto your shoulder and started off to your common room.
Once you arrived you set your stuff next to your bed and flopped down, the room was empty aside from a classmate's pet cat. You smiled and lifted yourself up getting off the bed. You stretched again and shifted into your animagus form.
You swiftly exited the common room and roamed around the halls. You passed a group of students who all tried to call you over as you walked by. You went to the courtyard and rested on a parapet in the sun. Students hurried by talking within their groups. You closed your eyes and let the sun warm your fur. It felt nice after the stressful school day.
“Well, what do we have here?” you felt a hand lightly scratching the top of your head. You open your eyes to see Draco Malfoy standing next to you. You froze at first, not sure if you were seeing correctly. Draco Malfoy, the school’s bad boy, stopped to pet a cat? He continued to pet you, “You’re fur is all warm from the sun.”
You purred slightly and buried your head into his hand.
Draco laughed softly and you gave a small meow, was this all it took to get his attention, turn into a cat?
“Draco, mate let’s go!” you heard someone call across the courtyard.
“Okay, okay!” Draco lifted his hand and made his way across the courtyard. You watched as he crossed the courtyard. You leaped off the parapet and hurried back inside the castle. You snuck into the girls lavatory and changed back into your human form.
“My, My, what a secret!” A high-pitched voice spoke.
“Oh, Hi Myrtle…”
“You’re an animagus?”
“Yes, but you can’t tell anyone!”
“Don’t worry, hardly anyone comes in here anyway,” she said sadly.
“Well, I’d better get back.” You made your way out of the lavatory and hurried back to your common room.
You entered the common room and climbed the steps to your dorm. You opened the door and made your way to your bed before lying on your back and smiling.
“What’s got you in such a good mood?” your classmate asked.
“Nothing.” you smiled to yourself.
