These scars are going to be with me for the rest of my life.
I’m going to have to lie to kids about it.
One day they’ll know though
I don’t want them following the path I took.
These scars are for life.
They’ll never leave me
They’ll be the only constant, the only forever.
They’re for life
and I don’t think I’m entirely against it
I’m destroying my vessel of existence for validation
The scars mean that I’m not faking it.
They mean it’s not all in my head, because now it isn’t
Now its on my thighs, my chest, my arms, and my stomach
The scars mean it’s real
They mean it’ll always be real
Because they’ll be with me for the rest of my life.
