Chapter Text
Atsushi walks down the streets of Yokohama, eagerly reaching his apartment. He fumbles with his keys and unlocks the door before stepping inside. His parents kicked him out of their home after discovering that he wanted to major in art. "You utter failure, pack your things and leave," they had said. Atsushi shakes his head, trying to get rid of the negative thoughts.
As he enters the apartment, he gasps. The place is modern, sleek, and spacious with a kitchen on the right, a living room on the left, and two doors leading to a bathroom. "I still don't know what to do with the extra room... oh well, I'll figure it out," he says before setting his things down and kicking the boxes around before his friends arrive.
"Hey, Atsushi!" Jun'ichirō exclaims as he walks in and gasps at the beauty of the apartment. "It's amazing, right?" Atsushi yells from the kitchen as he fills everyone's glasses with water.
"Beautiful and suspicious," Kyouka mutters as she takes off her shoes and makes way for Naomi and Kenji.
Hours later, they all sit together at the Kotatsu they assembled, tiredly drinking water and groaning.
Atsushi rubs the back of his neck before speaking. "Sorry, guys, no matter how many hours we spend opening these boxes, there's still so much work left. You can leave, I'll finish the rest!"
They all look at each other worriedly. "Are you sure, Atsushi? I can keep going as long as you feed me," Kenji says with a smile.
"Yeah, we can keep going!" Naomi adds while everyone else nods
Atsushi smiles and waves a hand in the air. "No, seriously guys, I want to have a sense of freedom."
Everyone nods in silence before Kyouka speaks. "Okay, a toast to Atsushi's freedom."
They all toast and laugh before putting their shoes back on at the door. "Call if you need anything, Atsushi!" They all say before walking off and waving.
Atsushi smiles at them before sitting back down and slumping into the wall before he hears thumping outside the door.
Atsushi's smile quickly fades as he slowly gets up, putting his hand on the floor and lifting his legs. He grabs the table using the legs and slowly drags it to the door, eyes sharp as his body trembles for a moment. He quickly adjusts himself and gets ready as the door opens.
The door opens, following a sigh from the intruder, as Atsushi slams the table on the head of the person, and they crash to the floor.
A raven-haired man with a pale complexion and out-of-place white strips on the end of his hair stares at him wide-eyed with anger before tackling Atsushi.
"What's your problem!" The black-haired man said before Atsushi spoke, "What's MY problem? Why are you in my house!"
The latter grunted before putting the white-haired man into an armlock before he screamed, "Wait!"
Atsushi said, puffing air into his lungs, "I have proof I live here."
The man's grip loosened as he let the man go just enough to sit up.
"You probably have the wrong room," Atsushi said while sitting up.
"I have the wrong room? The man said before scoffing "Show me your keys then," he said before dusting his odd-looking coat off and standing up.
Atsushi grunted, obviously mad at the situation, before throwing his keys at the man while the other man's eyes went wide.
"See, I told you, you have the wrong room!" Atsushi shouts out before crossing his arms.
"We... We have the same key and number," the man said before raising his thin eyebrow and looking at the white-haired ball on the floor.
"What?"
Atsushi sits up quickly in shock
“You're. Joking. Let me see that!”
The raven haired tosses the keys in his hands before Atsushi speaks again
“No way…”
He sighed before scoffing again “Do you ever consider shutting your mouth?”
Atsushis mouth widens before thinking ‘What a damn jerk’
“You busted into my house and your telling me to shut up? Anyways, my name is Nakajima, but you can-“
The other man spoke after rolling his eyes
“Thats too long…. ill call you..” He looks around till his eye scans Atsushi black stripe of hair “Weretiger”
Atsushi leans forward towards inches from Akutagawa with a look of shock on his face
“Seriously? Are you okay? Did I hit you too hard? You're really weir-“
Akutagawa raises his hand swatting Atsushi to shut him up and back him up
“Okay, okay enough of that, just call me Akutagawa, we need to leave and confront this…issue, c'mon.”
Atsushi sighs and looks up if I had my own car I would *not* let this happen’ before following Akutagawa out the door.
Atsushi follows Akutagawa out of their apartment, feeling a dissapointed in himself for not knowing sooner. Akutagawa looks furious as he takes out his car keys and starts driving towards a building. He remains silent, except for some occasional grunts of frustration. Atsushi tries to understand the situation and asks, "Where are we going? Do you know who did this?"
Akutagawa chuckles and gives Atsushi a side glance, "Seriously? You don't know what happened?"
Atsushi looks at Akutagawa with a confused expression, "Yeah...? Also, keep your eyes on the road!"
Akutagawa shakes his head, "We got scammed, were-tiger."
Atsushi turns his head towards Akutagawa, waiting for him to continue.
"This is a common scam, usually they write it somewhere not obvious on the contract," Akutagawa explains.
Atsushi still seems puzzled, "So, if you knew this was a scam, why didn't you check the contract?"
Akutagawa sighs frustratingly and puts his elbow on the car window, "Tch, Someone else looked through my contract and said they had my housing 'all sorted out'. I trusted them."
"Okay, we are here," Akutagawa says a few minutes later
Akutagawa says as he pulls into the parking lot and unlocks Atsushi's door. As they walk into an already sketchy looking building, theres a paper with big letters posted on it
*OUT OF BUSINESS*
