Work Text:
When Regina leaves Emma runs out after her.
"You're leaving already? I was hoping we could... you know... talk... or hang out or something..." She didn't mean to sound so disappointed. But she is. And it shows.
"I'm sorry, Emma. I'm really tired. But if you want to 'hang out'", Regina air quotes this phrase with amusement on her face. "you're welcome to come along. There's a bottle of wine and an armchair in front of the fireplace in my study that have been calling me for the last hour. I'm sure they won't mind sharing my attention with you." Regina chuckles.
Emma looks at her in astonishment.
"Really? I mean, I don't want to intrude. You are tired, I get it if you want to be alone and decompress..."
"Of course, there is also a bathtub filled with hot water that is waiting for me... But I don't think it would share me as easily as the wine and the fireplace..." Regina smirks.
Emma lets out a choked laugh, her cheeks reddening slightly.
Regina asseses her for a moment. After a few seconds she seems to have made up her mind as she takes a step towards Emma, her hand slowly rising to her face but stopping just a few inches before she can reach and cup the blonde's cheek.
"But I assume this part can be negotiated as well..."
Emma audibly gulps. Twice.
"I'm good at negotiating" she finally says as she takes a step towards Regina as well, her eyes never leaving the other woman.
