Work Text:
numb, horribly numb
that was all mark felt as he wandered through the snow
his soul yearned for the hands of kun
his body ached as the wind rushed past him
he was led further by the false comfort of the calm
he fell to his knees, tears burning as they fell
numb, horribly numb
warm, incredibly warm
that was what kun felt as he sat beside his brother and his brother's partner
his soul pleased by the comforting atmosphere
he smiled as the laughs surrounded him
he sat on his knees, eyes bright with joy
warm, incredibly warm
mark raised a hand to the door and waited to be let in
kun opens it, smiling down at him
'i'm so glad you made it, markie'
the younger boy nods with glee
the older pulls the younger into the warmth
they sit by the fire and talk to each other for hours
mark smiled as the snow started to warm him
he was buried, body fully numb now
he whispered out thank you's to kun for being invited
he closed his eyes, no longer having energy
he wondered if they'd see each other that spring
kun had waited weeks for mark to finally show but the boy never appeared
then as spring came, the sunlight heated the earth
the snow melted away and there was his mark
he looked peaceful and would continue to be
as kun brought him home, to warm him again
