Chapter Text
Chrome stared at his mentor with admiration. No- not admiration, obsession. Convinced it was true love, Chrome would do anything the other man told him. Maybe it was love, maybe it wasn’t, whatever it was it wasn’t healthy.
Senkuu’s voice broke his assistant’s out of his train of thought, “Chrome, I need cadavers, lots of them.”
“What.” Chrome blinked hard, trying to process the request.
“I need bodies, Chrome, I need bodies!” He had that crazy glint in his eye, the glint he got when he was about to do something absolutely insane.
Senkuu was a deranged young man, his science was what some would call ‘unethical’. So unethical in fact, that the two scientists would be ostracized if the townspeople ever found out what they were doing. Together they had done acts of absolute evil. For example, when Senkuu had Chrome lure the local magician into the lab, where he was tied to a chair and gagged. The memories still haunted Chrome, how he had to gauge the man’s eyes out and sever his Achilles tendons. Oh, the way how he screamed and pleaded for mercy, it sent shivers down the brunette’s spine. After that, it was up to the professor to look after the magician. He fed him, brought him water, bathed him, all while talking to him as if he was a sick man in Senkuu’s care. The magician soon became dependant on Senkuu, learning his footsteps and getting excited at his carers voice. It was fucked up, the way this man acted as though Senkuu was his god. After months of this torture, the professor was done with his tests.
“Kill him Chrome, take him into town, say you found his body out in the forest”
Chrome swallowed hard but nodded. He made quick work of the man, slitting his throat. After a few days he took the older man into town, still bawling his eyes out with guilt. No one suspected a thing, everyone stressing about some psycho killer in the town, completely oblivious to the murderer handing them the body.
“Gods professor, I can’t do this…” The brunette man sobbed, overcome with the guilt of his crime.
He was met with a hug, “It’s okay Chrome,” the professor whispered, rubbing his understudy’s back.
Chrome melted into the hug, it felt so good to be held by his beloved professor. He would do anything to be held like this, if killing meant pleasing the professor, he would do it.
Chrome wondered what the bodies were for, he hadn’t asked, not wanting to pry. Nevertheless, he made his way into town and over to the morgue. Many people had volunteered their bodies to science so all he had to do was ask.
“For the professor you say?” The mortician’s voice asked.
“Yeah…” Chrome trailed off.
“Certainly!” The mortician smiled at Chrome, leading him through the morgue.
Not long after the young scientist was being sent on his way with three perfectly preserved cadavers.
Back at the lab the two men unwrapped the corpses. The first was a young woman with silky white hair, pale skin and deep grey eyes. She was absolutely stunning, well as stunning as a dead girl could be. The second appeared to be the sister of the first, except she had short black hair, but that same pale skin and deep grey eyes.
“I hope this final one’s a man.” Senkuu idled.
As they uncovered the final body, Chrome’s stomach hurled, and he had to hold back the vomit in his throat. It was the magician. Senkuu on the other hand laughed manically, “It seems fait brings us an old friend.” Chrome felt lightheaded at the sight. Why did it have to be the magician, goddamit why?!
“We’ll have to use the women’s faces but we’ll use his brain and just chose the best parts from each of the bodies, let’s make the perfect man, Chrome” Senkuu’s eyes glistened with excitement.
Chrome took a moment to process all that, “make…the perfect…man…” he echoed.
“Yes exactly! It’s been getting lonely just you and me, don’t you think?”
“Yeah…. I’ll be back in a moment; I need to go to the bathroom- “the brunette’s heart sank.
In the bathroom Chrome cried and cried. “Lonely?? Am I not enough? Gods why doesn’t he love me?!” He sobbed hard, hot tears staining his face and snot dripping down from his nose. “Compose yourself Chrome!” he slapped himself across the face. Chugging water and whipping his eyes, Chrome made himself presentable again and returned to the lab.
Senkuu had dismembered the three bodies, cutting them into parts, including splitting their skulls write down the centre. The brains in some kind of preservative solution. He knew his assistant wouldn’t cope well seeing the gruesome process of building a body.
“Could you go to Yuzuriha and commission some clothes for our creation?” The blonde asked.
Chrome nodded, disappearing from the lab and making his way to town once again. While Chrome was gone, Senkuu began to work, making precise incisions, laying out all the pieces he wanted in a precise manner and disregarding any extra flesh into a large bucket, he would have his assistant feed the scraps to the worms once he returned. The deranged man smiled as he worked, excited at the idea of creating life. “Get excited~” he said to no one in particular.
Using mental splints, medical glue and a hell of a lot of determination, the man set everything perfectly in place. Once it was perfectly laid out, he began to sew. It felt weird a t first, piercing human flesh, but he eventually got a rhythm to it, securing the body piece by piece. Once the body was assembled all that was left to do was give the man a brain. Considering Senkuu had made the body male, he had no choice but to use the magician’s brain. He wondered if the brain would still have that same attachment to him after death.
As if on queue, Chrome returned with the clothes just as Senkuu finished up putting in and wiring up the man’s brain. The two men dressed the creation laying still on the bench.
“Get excited, Chrome!” Senkuu smirked, sticking the defibrillator pads to their creation’s chest.
