I've never seen a human so extraordinary
You're a perfect design,
Baby, you're one of a kind
Espresso was sitting in his living room right before an easel with a canvas that showed none other than the well known knight, Madeleine.
Except there was a big, big problem that bugged Espresso so much he couldn't get back to researching coffee magic. The painting was nowhere close to capturing Madeleine's perfection. And he knew it was just him not being good enough. He saw some paintings of the knight and they perfectly showed how unique and beautiful he is.
I've never wanted anything so badly
Been waiting all of my life,
I want to call you mine
The cookie sighed and just kept looking at the painting before starting to mix paints again, hoping to capture the correct so angelic type of yellow that Madeleine's hair is. Oh that hair, as much as Espresso would never say it out loud since Madeleine's ego is big enough already, he loves that hair, how he wishes to touch it... If only the knight knew how much the mage wanted to claim him as his own. As his one and only.
You look amazing!
You're so captivating
Like a million dollar painting
And you know that
Everybody wants a piece of you
Then there was a sudden doorbell ring, so sudden that Espresso almost dropped his paints and made his brown floor light yellow. The pure shock made him quickly put down the paints and quickly walk over to the door. It was unexpected, or maybe totally expected, but the one behind the door was none other than Madeleine, he was standing there as proud as ever.
"Espresso! Good morning my good friend, are you doing good? I hope you don't mind me visiting so suddenly," and without a moment to let Espresso respond, Madeleine barged inside and looked around, noticing the easel with the painting.
Every single inch of you's a ten, baby
Something so phenomenal nobody would believe
I ain't overreacting, you really are a masterpiece
"Oh, my, god! You drew me? This is so amazing! A masterpiece!" The knight compliments the artwork but despite that the mage didn't feel any better. To him his artwork is like a private diary and it doesn't truly matter if it's praised, it's still something he wants to keep private.
"First of all, I PAINTED you, there's a difference between drawing and painting and what I did was paint you. Second of all, you weren't meant to see it!" Espresso says with a little raise in voice at the end but he quickly realised it and felt a little embarrassed. "... It's not that good anyway..." He whispered.
"Huh? Oh is it unfinished? I wouldn't have guessed, it's already so perfect! I feel like you've captured me better than any other artist that drew me!" Madeleine keeps on praising Espresso. But oh if only he knew.
Piece of art, you're a piece of art, aah
If he knew he was the perfect piece of art to Espresso.
I've never seen a human so hypnotic
The way you smoke that cigar
The way you play that guitar
"What else do you need to do?" The blonde asks and the brunette just takes his paints.
"I got your hair color wrong, I need to repaint it," he replied.
"It looks fine to me," Madeleine says as he grabs his own hair and holds it near the painting, showing that the Madeleine in the painting that was calmly playing on a guitar has the same shade of hair as the real one. "Yeah, see? They're the same shade!"
And I don't mean to sound crazy or dramatic
But you are everything I need
If you want to, come with me
"No it's not, it's too dark. Also you're in the sun in that painting, the hair should be lighter," Espresso looks for reasons Madeleine is wrong. "It shouldn't matter anyway, I never wanted to share this with anyone even once I finished."
"Oh but everyone should see this! This is an amazing piece of art, everyone would appreciate it!"
You look amazing
You're so captivating
Like a million dollar painting
And you know that
Everybody wants a piece of you
"... And that's what I don't like about you. You give yourself to everybody to share," Espresso blurts out without really thinking twice about what he says, yeg he keeps talking, months of repressed jealousy over every single time Madeleine flirted with people who aren't Espresso, jeslousy over how Madeleine went on dates with people who aren't Espresso. "Sometimes I want you just for myself! I don't want you sharing every moment we spent with others!"
Every single inch of you's a ten, baby
Something so phenomenal nobody would believe
I ain't overreacting you really are a masterpiece
"You want me for... yourself? Just for yourself?" Madeleine asks shocked, his pale face now red and Espresso realises what he said.
"W-well... Well what if I did!?" Espreesso says, his dark brown skin becoming red on his cheeks, burning, as he doubles down on what he said earlier.
Piece of art, you're a piece of art, aah
"Well that's an interesting change of pace! Hmm, how about..." And the blonde came up to the brunette, then leaned in and kissed him.
It was so sudden but Espresso didn't pull away.
I wanna see your magic now
You make me feel so high
A fire no one can put out
I'm burning up inside
They both melt into the kiss, the mage's hand burying in the knight's fluffy platinum blonde hair that he always wished to touch without judgement. The moment was long but also too short as they pulled away.
I wanna see your magic now
You make me feel so high
A fire no one can put out
I'm burning up inside
"I love you, Espresso, you know that? We can be boyfriends if you want," Madeleine asks with a chuckle.
Every single inch of you's a ten, baby
Something so phenomenal nobody would believe
I ain't overreacting you really are a masterpiece
"Well I could say I love you back. It's kinda hard not to love such a piece of art as you, so I'd be more than glad to be your boyfriend," Espresso replies with a smirk. "You're mine now."
Piece of art, you're a piece of art, aah
And then they kissed again without another word, their love burning like a bonfire.
I wanna see your magic now
You make me feel so high
A fire no one can put out
I'm burning up inside
