Chapter Text
It was about 2 am when Lysander had decided to meet this mysterious person who had both found his base deep in the forest that contained the Lost Hotel and instead of raiding them or threating them, left a letter asking to meet at the edge of Dendemile Town in the middle of the night. Their base was mainly underground to keep hidden from the Kalos police. Him and the admins of Team Flare had decided to keep on the low until they managed to get more members, which did not take long to his surprise. They now had workers all over the world, at least five per region. Most were in Kalos though. He informed them all to obtain as much Mega Energy as possible and to keep an eye out for Ash Ketchum. Things were looking up for Team Flare. However, this letter did not seem hostile, but instead seemed like some interested in joining Team Flare. However, in case it was a trap, he brought several grunts with him just to be safe. He did not need any more scarring, half his face was scared, the same with his left arm too. He also had scars on his legs, but not nearly as bad as his other half.
When they arrived at the spot the writer, they were met with a rather tall man with dark brown hair. He seemed to have a beard too that was also a mustache, it had the same coloring as his hair too. In the moonlight, his skin seemed to be tannish with light red eyes. He also appeared to be wearing some kind of armor suit thing, which was mostly light grey, but some sections were a navy blue. He also had several things latched onto him that seemed to be the same material as seatbelts, the most noticeable one being on his chest. The compartments seemed to be large enough to carry a pistol. He also seemed to have heavy duty boots. He also had a piece of cloth tied around his forehead, with longer parts flowing in the wind behind him.
"Lysander, am I right?" He greeted as he looked him up and down. His voice was rather gruff and sort of sound like he was out of air. But overall, he seemed like someone who was part of the military.
Lysander nodded, "Yes, you are correct." Want did the man even want? He didn't seem to have any Pokémon with him, but they could be in those large compartments or hidden pockets. This man seemed like he would specialize in steel type Pokémon, but Lysander could never be sure in this filthy world. "Are you interested in fixing this world and bringing it to perfection?"
The man gave a small chuckle, "Aren't your goals rather small though?" He asked Lysander. " I agree with your view, this world is terribly flawed, but so are several other universes. Dimensions, even." He ranted, "Why stop at this world? Why not others? I know others would agree with your cause."
Lysander raised his eyebrows. "I would love to do that, but I'm afraid that is impossible." He claimed, "I mean, traveling to alternate dimensions? We do not have the technology for that!" Though, Lysander would not mind trying to get his hands on technology like that. He could finally make his dream come true with help from creatures that he only understood.
The man then gave another small chuckle, "You may not, but I do." He stated. "I can make my goal true! And you can too!" The man held his hands together in front of his chest, seemingly excited just at the mere thought of bringing this world into perfection! "However, I am already with another group, but how about we team up? What do you say?" He then put his hand out, hoping for a hand shake.
An alliance? Now, those were risky. However, Team Flare was in the position to easily overpower a few organizations, so they could put up a fight if needed. Plus, if this man was honest, this would be a great opportunity for him, Team Flare, and this flawed world! So, there were very few downsides, lots of pros, so why not? However, he would have to keep his guard up around this new ally till he knew he could trust them.
Lysander then grabbed the man's hand and shook it. "I'll take you up for your offer" Lysander spoke, "But I must ask, what is your name?"

One month later...
Ash was now back in Alola! He realized through a mini adventure in Paldea that he didn't really know as much about Pokémon as he thought, but knowing lots about Pokémon was crucial for his goal of becoming a Pokémon Master! So, he thought that it would be best if he returned to the Pokémon school for a bit. He did ask Professor Kukui if it was alright if he stayed with him again while he was enrolled in the Pokémon school. Unsurprisingly, he accepted! Though, he did ask if Ash's Alolan team came back too, because it turned out that Lei just adored them! Which Ash was no where near against. Plus, his Alolan team did seem to do better in Alola because of the more tropical climate.
However, Ash did not just bring his Alolan team, but some of his old Pokemon too! He brought Pikachu, Totodile, Gible, Gliscor, Talonflame, and Leavanny with him this time around! He decieded that it would be good to train some of his old Pokemon to get much stronger! Totodile and Leavanny loved Alola, which was no shocker. He wasn't too sure about Gible or Gliscor, but they loved it too. Talonflame especially loved the heat in Alola! His Pokémon were already getting much stronger even though they've only been there for a week, and in Pokemon School only for five days.
Speaking of Pokémon School, Lillie was now back! She enrolled into the school again after Lusamine, Mohn, and Gladion all return home. Everyone was back at the Pokémon School! Even Rotom was staying with him again or visiting often with him because he still had to do some work at Aether Paradise. However, it was mostly to observe all Pokémon at Aether Paradise or anywhere else. So, it would gather data on Pokémon and send it back to Aether Paradise.
Ash had finished his breakfast and is currently helping to feed Lei his baby food while both his parents got changed and prepared for the day. Ash's Pokémon were all munching down on their food, with a seeming race happening between his Incineroar, Lycanroc, Totodile, and Gible, which surprised nobody. Rowlet had finished his food and was sleeping, again. Leavanny was seemingly talking to Talonflame while they were both eating. Gliscor was more focused on eating then talking at the moment, the same with Pikachu and Melmetal. It was a great sight to see for ash, to see all his Pokémon getting along so well!
Ash knew that today was going to be a good day! But something felt off. He felt like something bad was going to happen. Ash didn't know why, but he just kind of felt like that. However, he brushed it off as his gut telling him that Team Rocket might be near, which they always are. It's like they could teleport at times with how they appear in every region he is in.
"Ash! You better hurry!" Rotom Dex urged, "We're going to be late soon!"
Ash was then snapped from his train of thought, and realized that he had finished feeding Lei, and that Professor Burnet was now in the kitchen holding Lei. Ash's eyes widened, "You're right! I better hurry!" Ash responded back.
Ash then returned all his Pokémon to their Pokéballs, expect Pikachu, and got ready at record speed. He thanked Professor Burnet for his lunch, grabbed it, and bolted out of the house. Even though he was going rather fast, he could still take in some of the beautiful sights of Alola. Man, he didn't realize how much he missed Alola and his family here! They really were his other family!

Z2 had just swam onto a remote island somewhere near Unova, or so he thought. In all honesty Z2 had no idea where he was going, he was actually following the Greninja who had also just swam on the same island he had just swam on. Z2 was in his 10% percent form so he could swim easier without attracting any more attention. However, he did need to lie down for some energy because they had swam the whole night. So he laid down in a spot that had lots of sun. Greninja on the other hand had refused to even sit down. Z2 knows it's because they were just being chased by Team Flare. But couldn't he sit down.
" 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘴𝘸𝘪𝘮 𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘵." Z2 called out. Z2 himself had never been one on self-care, but he did his best to make sure he could at least fight. Meanwhile, Greninja would refuse to eat or sleep in order to be on lookout for Team Flare since they had made their presence known.
Greninja gave a glance at Z2, "𝘾𝙖𝙣'𝙩, 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙗𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙧." He croaked at Z2. Team Flare could be anywhere. Who knows, they could have a tracker on one of them or some other way to know their location. Greninja could not afford a moment to rest! However, he was glad he was on solid land, because it turns out that that swimming all the way From Kalos to the edge of Unova could be tiring and dangerous!
Z2 turned his head to give a more authoritative look at Greninja, "𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘫𝘢, 𝘸𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦. 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘺𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯." They told Greninja telepathically. " 𝘞𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘴."
Greninja sighed and finally sat down. "𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆? 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑺𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒚, 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚'𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐 𝒊𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖!" Greninja asked Z2 through a series of anxious calls of his name. He couldn't handle another Kalos Crisis, mentally at least. The last one was to chaotic, dangerous, and terrifying. So many people dead, wounded, or knocked unconscious. Luminos city was still recovering over a year later. Not to mention that Lysander nearly controlled him and Ash. Greninja could not imagen seeing his trainer possessed, he would turn sick thinking about it too much.
"𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥. 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴." Z2 brought up. "𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘓𝘺𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳! 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥'𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦!" Z2 did not know it was even possible for people to travel dimensions. He's heard of Pokémon could, even though he wasn't one of them. He had no doubt that some other Legendary Pokémon could travel to other dimensions. However, if Lysander figures out how to travel dimensions, there's no telling what that mad man could do!
Greninja lowered his head, " 𝑰 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒐𝒏. 𝑰 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑳𝒚𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓." Greninja felt like he knew this ally, but it was just a gut feeling. However, with the lack of evidence he couldn't say for sure. It was probably just his mind being paranoid.
Z2 nodded before he saw something, something that struck out from the deep blue of the sea. People in bright red, with even brighter hair. They were riding on their Pokémon, on their way to the island that he and Greninja were on. Z2 stood up and looked at Greninja, "𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘜𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?" He asked the ninja frog Pokémon.
Greninja shook his head while he stood up, "𝑨𝒔𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑼𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂, 𝑰 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒉𝒆'𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒍𝒐𝒍𝒂. 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑨𝒍𝒐𝒍𝒂 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉." He informed Z2 as he hopped into the water.
Z2 sighed and hopped into the water after Greninja, "𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦." He spoke out loud.
Z2 and Greninja were making good time, swimming as fast as they could. They repeatedly dove under the water so Team Flare could not catch them. The did eventually lose them, but it was midday now, so they would have to stay in the sea for a while. They just hoped that Ash could help them with their Team Flare problem. After all, they tried to get help from Clemont and Bonnie, but as they were running there, Squishy got caught and they ran for the sea in hope of finding Ash.
