Chapter 1: The Deaths of Midoriya Izuku and Mori Chikako

Chapter Text

~"You want to be a hero so bad? I got a time- saving idea for you. If you think you'll have a quirk in your next life... Go take a swan dive off the roof!!~ Bakugou sneered. He turned away from them paused before shaking his head and moving on.

He left his two best friends on that rooftop after trying to save his life from the latest villain attack after they barely escaped with their own lives.

As he walked down the stairs on his way to the elevator, he tripped and his fingertips barely managed to catch on the railing before he fell down the entire top flight of stairs.

He walked back to the elevator and by the time he reached the ground floor he already had if not regrets, misgivings on what he'd done, but as always brushed them. It wasn't as if those two took everything he said to heart. They knew how he lashed out when he felt vulnerable, they knew he didn't mean it, didn't they?

Bakugou walked into lobby to see a crowd filling the room and spilling out onto the sidewalk and even into the street. He pushed his way through the crowd to see what they were all looking at.

Shoving asides the extras that blocked his path to the center of attention he finally made it to the clearing and the sight made him take a step back. He rushed forward yelling "Deku! Kako!" As he reached them, he fell to his knees, "This isn't funny, come one, wake up! You have to wake up! Izuku? Mori? Come on! Wake up!"

He tried to shake them awake, yelling at them to wake up, but they just lay there, so still. "Come on, please, wake up. Please. I didn't mean it! Please wake up."

He struggled against the arms that were pulling away from their bodies as he called out for his friends to "Just wake up, that the joke wasn't funny any more, please!"

He fell limp in the arms as they drew him away from the scene as they bundled him into a shock blanket as he never tore his eyes from the forms of his best friends as they lay there unmoving.

The arms set him in the back of the ambulance as he started to struggle again as he screamed for them to "Forget me, and to treat my friends. They need help, I don't need anything but for them to help my best friends, just help them, please!" He pleaded.

The ambulance attendant promised to help them if he would just sit quietly and let them help him as he was treated for shock and checked over for any additional injuries. The EMTs got emergency contacts off of him and called for his parents to come down so they could get permission to have him admitted to the hospital for an overnight stay for shock.

His parents arrived and he reached out for this mom, pleading for her to get them to help his friends. "Please, get them to help Mori and Izuku! Why haven't they helped them? They are just laying there. They need to get up, they'll get cold laying on the pavement for so long. They get so sad when they get sick, please help them!" Bakugou pleaded.

Masaru's face crumpled as he reached for his son to hug him close.

Bakugou turned to his mom. "Why aren't they waking up? I didn't mean it! They couldn't have found their shoes on the roof, I was just joking. They have to wake up! We're going to be heroes together, they have to get up!"

Mitsuki just bit her lip and turned away from her son.

She had been told that both sets of their shoes had been found set next to each other on the top of the building.

Masaru went with his to the hospital were he spent the night as Mitsuki worked with the police and emergency services on the fallout with what her son had confessed in his hysteria as he went into shock. Masaru did his best to help his son understand what happened.

"No, they can't be..."

"It's true son."

"I understand but..."

"They aren't coming back."

"But they have to..."

"I'm sorry son."
