Chapter Text
Stupid Sven. Keith needed to blow off some steam and decided to take the Red Lion out for a flight. He was tired of Sven calculating the risk of ending up in an alternate universe.
“Yeah right. Like a portal is just going to jump out in front of us and we are going to fly in it.” Keith was talking out loud both to himself and to his lion.
“It’s a portal, not turbulence. It can be seen.” As he is ranting he pushes the red lion faster and faster. He skillfully maneuvers through an asteroid field.
If I can maneuver through an asteroid field, how can I not maneuver away from a portal?
As he is talking he gets a transmission from the Castle of Lions. He answers it and it is the whole group there, including Sven. That just pisses Keith off more.
Coran begins to speak, “Keith, we need you back here. There could be an attack at any moment, and we need you to be able to form Voltron.”
Keith was about to turn back when Sven began to speak. “If you do not tap your head three times and slow down to approximately 75% speed, there is a 100% chance that you will fly the Red Lion into a portal to an alternate dimension where you will be stuck jumping through realities with random strangers.”
That was the last straw. Keith was about to go off on Sven, when all of a sudden, behind the screen he sees a portal opening right in front of him.
“Oh, Quiznak.”
As Keith enters the portal his lion begins to malfunction, the transmission cuts out, and he is spit out on the other side of the portal. It looks as though he is almost on Earth, but slightly different than the Earth he knows. The lion has not yet turned on and plummets to the ground only for Keith to crashland.
He groans a bit when he sees a police officer, weird , approaching him. He can’t quite make out what he is saying. The Red Lion turns back on, and Keith gets up from his chair.
The mouth of the Lion opens and he is about to go talk to the police officer, bayard in hand, when he feels a huge force push him on his back inside the lion and the police officer ends up landing on top of him.

Kenji and the others are entering the service tunnels to try to get supplies in a safe-ish manner (there really is no safe way to get supplies when you are stuck on a jungle island filled with dinosaurs). There is a roar in the distance and Kenji jumps and trips. When he stands up he realizes that he cannot see or hear the group. There is a fork in the road, and no signs of his friends on either path.
“Guys? Guys? This isn’t funny. You can’t scare me, I’m too manly.”
There is another roar, closer this time and Kenji picks a tunnel and sprints. After running for a bit he finds a vent in a somewhat unassuming location.
They are SO going to pay for leaving me. There are dinosaurs. I am too rich and handsome to get eaten.
He opens up the vent and climbs through.
The vent is a little more cramped than he remembered any of the others being. He tried to get the vent cover off but it was on tight.
“Come on. I am strong enough to do this. If the stupid Compies can open a simple vent, why can’t I? I am smarter and richer than a stupid lizard.”
Finally, Kenji got the vent to come off and climbed out so he could survey his surroundings, and hopefully ensure he wouldn’t get eaten.
This does not look like any place on the island I have seen. And I’ve seen just about all of them.
He turned and saw some random man wearing a full suit of armor, helmet and all, pointing a gun at him.
“Ah.”
Kenji jumped back and tried to go back into the vent so he could maybe not have a gun pointed at him anymore. But when he looked, the vent definitely didn’t lead back to the service tunnel.
He looked at the knight (?) and he spoke to Kenji, sounding kind of terrifying. Kenji wished he was dealing with Compies right about now.
“Who are you and why are you on my ship?”
I’m kind of wondering the same thing my guy.

Din was sitting, yet again eating another loaf of polystarch portion bread and a bowl of soup. The Child sat next to him, happily slurping away, the remains of the toolbox scattered around where they had fallen once Din finally had food to hand to the little womp rat.
But it was fine, because for now, they were safe. Well, as safe as they could be granted they were still being hunted by the Empire.
Blinking, Din looked around, realizing the Child had vanished, and was about to
freak out
stand up when he heard a coo from the cockpit. Chuckling Din moved to stand up, smiling a little at how fascinated the Child still was with hyperspace even after continuously being in it for days on end at a time. Placing the garbage from dinner into the compactor he turned to climb the ladder, still unsure how the Child managed to do so by himself, when he heard a rattling coming from below the floor near the storage containers.
Automatically, his hand drifted towards his blaster as he slowly began to approach what he now saw to be a vent cover. Frowning he tried to remember if there was anything that could have stowed away in his ship, in the vent of all places, at their last supply stop. When he couldn’t think of anything he got worried, because he did not like the Unknown. Mandalorians were always prepared.
Pulling out the blaster and slowly clicking off the safety he stepped off to the side as mumbling and curses could now be heard signaling that the being was sentient and frustrated at how the vent was not coming off.
Din had to admit that this stowaway had probably found the one part of his ship, however much he loved her, that was actually not broken and stayed where it was supposed to.
Slowly the blaster raised only to stop when the face of a kid popped out, looked around confused, and then turned to see him. The boy, as Din could now make out, screamed, tried to stumble back into the vent, realized the vent had an end, and scrambled forward.
Din was impressed he was able to stand after being cramped in the small space for so long. As he raised the blaster he spoke, trying his best to ignore how utterly terrified the boy looked.
“Who are you and why are you on my ship ?”

Connor was having what he could describe as a bad day, and actually mean it since he was able to feel things now. Detective Reed was on the scene of a crime he shouldn’t be on, considering it had to do with Androids (Connor refused to call them Deviants since all Androids in Detroit were now Deviant) who had been attacked by some of the few anti android activists left in the city after the Markus’ Revolution.
From inside he could hear Reed arguing with Hank over his required presence at the scene, something about making sure the humans involved had ‘proper representation as well’.
Shaking his head he ran a hand down his face, having stepped outside to calm himself. He was new to emotions and they still snuck up on him. According to Hank he was going through Android Puberty and would be fine soon enough.
He was about to turn and head back inside when he felt a presence on his scanners that had not been there exactly 2.5 seconds ago.
Turning around he had to blink twice to make sure his processor was working correctly. There, on the street, was a giant robotic lion. Before he could stop himself, his systems were scanning the ship. One life form was inside, and there, yes it was a ‘No Parking’ zone.
Choosing to take the situation one step at a time Connor approached the machine, making sure to keep his hands away from his standard-issue police gun, just in case.
“I’m afraid I am going to have to ask you to move, this is a No Parking zone.” He waited and was able to make out the life form, which now had a distinct human shape as well as vital signs, begin to rise out of the chair. He stepped back when the mouth of the lion began to open.
Just as a foot came into view, Connor felt himself knocked forward by a great force as a hole opened up in front of the house and he was dragged into the mouth of the lion, slamming into the life form and landing on his back.
