Chapter Text
Each Summer, Minerva McGonagall made her way up to the small, locked tower to sit by the Quill of Acceptance and the Book of Admittance and hand address welcome letters to incoming Hogwarts students. This was her respite from the, frequently overwhelming, responsibilities of being Headmistress. She let herself get lost in the glimmer of her emerald ink and let muscle memory take over.

Her soft intake of breath interrupted the silent sanctuary. There was no way that was the same… It couldn’t be… Dursley.
With a large sigh, she relaxed her posture and rested her aching back against the chair. This was going to be a difficult visit.
