Having your heart pulled out of your chest was the worst feeling ever.
A deft hand had reached through the skin of her chest and pushed further inwards until it had crushed her ribs before calloused fingers wrapped around her heart and tugged until all that was left was a gaping hole of the left side of her chest.
The last thing she registered was feeling her breath hitch and then beginning to fall. After that she had no idea what happened.
Hope had watched it all as if it happened in slow motion. Josie was pinned against the wall by a rogue vampire when Hope and all of the squad was distracted so none of them could make it to Josie in time.
Just as the vampire began to drop Josie's heart to the ground, Hope sped over as fast as she could and returned the favour by stealing the vampire's heart and chucking him aside like he was a sack of potatoes so that she could catch Josie's body in time before she fell to the ground.
It was like all time had stopped as she gazed at Josie's lifeless face. Her hand came up to close those lifeless eyes before she skimmed her hand over the siphoner's unusually cold and pale cheek. Her lips quivered, witnessing such a sight as her eyes filled with tears.
A sob escaped her mouth when she looked up to see her friends all running over to them. She held Josie's body tighter against her, resting her head on her shoulder as more tears slid down her cheeks. Lizzie kneeled in front of them, her own eyes filled with grief and exhaustion.
"How— How did this...?" Lizzie couldn't get the words out of her mouth due to how much she was crying over her sister. A lump settled in her throat that she just couldn't get rid of to talk properly.
"It's my fault." Hope squeezed her eyes shut tightly as she rocked back and forth, clutching Josie close to her, "It's— It's my fault."
"I should've been paying more attention to her, I shouldn't have let her go off on her own." Hope shook her head, blaming herself for what had happened because if she had been keeping an eye out then they wouldn't be in this situation.
The two girls were inconsolable, both grieving the brunette they both adored very much. Their friends stood around, tears rolling down their faces as they watched them and felt the loss of their beloved friend.
MG stepped forward, placed a hand on Hope's shoulder and squeezed gently just to let her know he's there, "Hope, do you want me to take her inside?"
"No." Hope's answer was short as she shrugged off his hand, "I need to do it."
The tribrid cast her eyes down the length Josie's body, biting her quivering lip to conceal how much this hurt her. Her gaze lingered on the gaping hole on the left side of Josie's chest. Hope slid her arm under Josie's back and her other under her knees to lift the brunette into her arms.
The first step she took towards the school made her realise that her knees were trembling but she pushed through and took another step until she was well on her way to school, eyes red-rimmed and face flushed from mourning. Lizzie fell into step with her as did MG, who wrapped a comforting arm around the blonde.
Alaric and Caroline stood at the entrance, probably waiting for them to come back but when they saw the state the group of friends were in, Caroline broke down immediately. She'd seen the limp body of her daughter in the tribrid's arms, saw the way they were all covered in blood and looked drained.
"What..." Caroline advanced forward to Hope until her hand came in contact with her daughter's cold hand. The touch made it seem more real that Josie was no longer with them anymore. Lizzie treaded forwards until she had her mother wrapped up in her arms.
Caroline raised her hand to cover her mouth as a gut-wrenching sob left her mouth. She cried on Lizzie's shoulder as did the younger blonde, holding her mother. Her father stood almost shell-shocked at the sight, tears forming in his eyes as he ran a hand over his beard to try and recollect himself.
He shed those tears as he watched Hope take his daughter's body into the school.
Hope entered the infirmary and placed Josie's body onto the table as gently as she possibly could. She grasped both of Josie's hand and crossed them over her stomach as she flattened down her hair. The siphoner looked so peaceful in that moment, nothing could disturb her peace anymore.
Leaning down, Hope pursed her lips, pressing them delicately to Josie's forehead. She turned away as soon as she did so, lifting her hand to her mouth when more tears and sobs threatened to escape her. It was honestly such an heartbreaking sight to see such a person so full of life being so still and emotionless.
Lizzie was now hugging her father, one armed and sobbing on his shoulder as he rubbed her back, his gaze never once straying from Josie's departed body. The blonde saw her turn around and opened her arms which Hope instinctively sought comfort from when Lizzie's arms encased her.
Caroline sat beside Josie, her hand clutching her daughters with a death grip as if she was willing for that grip to bring the brunette back to life but that unfortunately wasn't going to happen. "What went wrong?"
The headmistress' gaze wandered to each of her students faces. She needed the answers otherwise she was going to go crazy. Hope was the only one who really spoke up, "It was my fault..." Hope couldn't contain her sob, "I didn't keep a close enough eye on her."
"Hope, it wasn't your fault." Kaleb stepped forward, his hand reaching out to grab her bicep so he could reassure her but before he could do so, her head snapped in his direction as her eyes flashed golden to tell him not to step any closer.
"It was! MG was looking out for Lizzie and I was looking out for Josie, that was our plan and you know it because you were the one who assigned us like that." Hope's voice raised as the grief had passed slightly and was slowly being replaced by anger. She was absolutely livid with herself.
Her hands folded up into tight fists as her jaw clenched tightly and she breathed in a little to try and calm herself down but it was futile. The person who could easily calm her down was now gone and had perished in a stupid fight that shouldn't even have been their problem.
"Hope, we are all grieving." Cleo told her, sending her a small smile despite the tears running down her face. She reached out to hesitantly grasp Hope's hand and when the tribrid didn't move away. She opened her fists and squeezed Hope's hand to help soothe her.
The auburnette's chest heaved up and and down once as she took a deep breath in. After a second or so, she tugged her hand out of Cleo's and exited the room. She couldn't stand to be in there anymore with the fact that Josie was in the room but her presence was not felt.
It was a couple of hours later before Hope went back into the infirmary. Caroline had not left the room once and neither had Lizzie but a white sheet now covered Josie's body up to her collarbone so that her face was exposed. Hope suspected that Alaric had placed it over his daughter.
Alaric was nowhere to be found. He was probably in his office, drinking himself to oblivion.
Hope took the stool opposite Caroline and beside Josie's body. The older vampire glanced up at her, her eyes still glazed over with tears as she averted her gaze to her other daughter, sitting in the chair against the wall, staring at nothing in particular, unfocused.
"Uh, I'm sorry Caroline—"
"I don't blame you, Hope, so you shouldn't blame yourself either." Caroline murmured but Hope couldn't stop blaming herself. She had spent the last hours crying her eyes out and holding herself accountable, "Just— Just please don't turn it off, we don't need that right now."
It was an option that Hope had considered but she knew it wasn't a good option because pain only made you stronger.
"I won't." Hope promised, her hand reaching out for Josie's motionless one. Tears already springing in her eyes again. Caroline grasped her hand and squeezed gently in support.
The hand in hers twitched a little and Hope didn't think anything of it. It could've just been her hand or Caroline's forcing the motion but then she felt it again before a loud gasp echoed through the room and everyone's heads snapped in the direction of the noise.
Josie bolted upright in a sitting position, breathing heavily, wheezing as tried to gulp down as much air as she possibly could. Her gaze darted around the room, taking everything in as her hand immediately went to the place where the gaping hole used to be.
Everything was heightened. The brightness of the ugly yellow lights in the infirmary burned behind her eyes, causing her to shut them, hand raising to her eyes to rub the burning away but it wasn't helping at all.
She turned her head to see her mother looking at her in disbelief like she couldn't believe the sight in front of her which was quite a normal reaction, "Mommy?"
Josie whimpered as Caroline brought her into a tight hug and if she hadn't been transitioning into a vampire, it might have crushed her bones. The blonde sobbed into her shoulder. Josie felt a couple of tears escape her eyes, watching as her sister made her way over, a hand over her mouth.
"Lizzie?" Josie's voice came out rough and husky from not using it for hours and obviously because she had been dead. Lizzie joined in on the hug, her embrace around her mother and previously dead sister was firm. Josie gasped again, this time due to the fact that she had human blood so close to her.
The ache in her gums became more apparent and pulsed where she knew her fangs would grow if she drank human blood. To keep the temptation away, she pushed her mother and sister off her as her chest heaved and her hands lifted to tangle themselves in her already messy hair.
Lizzie attempted to get close again but Josie untangled a hand from her hair and held out in front of her, "No! Don't come any closer, Lizzie."
Caroline placed her hands on the younger blonde's shoulders to keep her away, knowing how hard it was to resist the fresh blood when it was near you. Luckily, Josie's attention drifted to something... or someone else.
"Jo?" Hope mumbled in shock, her eyes wide as she stood up and her shoulders hunched forward, perhaps in relief to see the brunette moving around and talking to them.
"Ah!" Josie's clutched her head, pain and irritation filling her senses, her heart was booming her ears; thud after thud which was frankly quite annoying, "Hope, make it stop, please."
"Hey..." Hope stepped forward slowly and to tell you the truth it seemed a little condescending like she was a frightened deer that needed to be helped but right now maybe that's what she needed, "Just listen to my voice, okay? I'm so glad that you're alright..."
Hope smiled at her as she neared. She gathered Josie into her arms, resting the transitioning heretic's head on her chest and removing her hands from her head. A few teardrops fell into Josie's head but neither girl minded. She dropped a kiss to Josie's forehead, her nose settling at the crown of her head as she breathed in her familiar scent.
"I'm sorry, Jo, this was all my fault." Hope shook her head as she pulled away.
"It wasn't." Josie wrapped her arms around Hope's middle, tugging her close once again, burying her head into the tribrid's neck. "I was being reckless, I shouldn't have challenged him."
"Wait, how did you come back to life? Who gave you their blood?" Caroline asked, breaking this reunion up, despite it being absolutely adorable— not that either blonde will admit it. Her mother's gaze and accusation seemed to stay on the tribrid who only sighed as she didn't have any idea.
Josie looked up at her mother guiltily before she let go of Hope. The conversation was taking her mind off all the blood craving, "I may have gone into the werewolf cure blood supplies and drank a vile— before you get mad mom, I know that's only to be use in case of an emergency but I just had this weird gut feeling the whole day."
"Maybe it was just the anxiety seeping through mine and Lizzie's bond but I didn't like it so I drank the blood." Josie told them, bowing her head, not knowing how her mother would react to this newly learnt information, "Sorry, I took your blood without your permission."
"Don't worry about that, I'm glad you did." Hope smiled down at her, softly as her hand came up to stroke her cheek. She jerked her hand away when she realised what she was doing, "Do you want me to get you a blood bag so you can complete the transition?"
The transitioning heretic looked like she was contemplating but only just for a second and seeing her mother's and sisters pleading looks and catching Hope's encouraging gaze, she nodded. Hope sped out the room and then back into the room in the span of a mere second.
"Drink this. It's from your dad's secret supply of human blood." Hope chuckled, revealing to Caroline that she knew where the blood was kept. Caroline rolled her eyes and made a mental reminder to tell Alaric to change the place they'd hidden the blood.
Hope opened the top of the blood bag so that Josie could easily drink from it. Josie hesitantly grabbed onto the bag, trying not to be haste and make her desperation show. Her fingers brushed over Hope's as she glanced into caring blue eyes. That was all the persuasion she needed.
The first sip she felt on the top of her tongue, flowing down to her throat was euphoric. The feeling of power was indescribable. Her senses became even more heightened to fit the species she now fit under. For the first time in her life, she felt so full of magic that it was overwhelming. The magic sparkled all over her body, threatening to spill over but the lust for blood was stronger.
This amount of blood wasn't enough to quench her thirst so she began to drink faster, squeezing the blood bag until she felt a soft hand at her shoulder. Hope's voice filtered through the hunger, "Slow down, Jo."
And suddenly the suggestion Hope had just said felt like a command causing her to slow down despite the fact that she needed more at a quicker rate. The grip she had on the bag loosened as she slowly finished the bag now. Lizzie crossed her arms and furrowed her brows, "That was weird, she actually listened to you."
Lizzie's voice seemed distant, all she could focus on was getting more blood as she threw the bag aside and lapped up at the blood dripping down her chin. The black veins became prominent under her eyes as she opened her mouth to display her fangs, tongue smoothing over teeth to gather up any blood she could get.
Her ears picked up on the sound of a very-much alive beating heart and the smell of fresh blood, pumping through veins all over her sister's body. She didn't know what she was doing when she lurched forward out of her deathbed and tried to reach her twin. Caroline interfered, placing a hand at her chest, "Hope, do something!"
The desperation was clear in Caroline's voice as she fought to hold Josie off. Josie was quite strong for a newly turned vampire but it was nothing Hope couldn't handle, "Josie, listen to me, you need to stop."
Josie stopped as soon as Hope's voice registered. It was like listening to Hope was an innate instinct and something just clicked inside of her when Hope told her not to go after Lizzie anymore. "Oh my God! Lizzie, I'm so sorry."
Caroline opened her mouth when she finally understood what was happening. All three girls looked at her in question but not before Hope held Josie at a safe distance from Lizzie and used the pad of her thumb to wipe away the blood that had been smeared on her chin.
"What do you know mom?" Lizzie asked and Caroline just shook her head, making her way out of the infirmary. The three teenagers followed after her in curiosity. Josie was hot on her mother's heels as this concerned her more.
They reached Alaric's office where all their friends were lingering and to say they were shocked to see Josie up and walking was an understatement. Seeing their friends halted them from further following after Caroline, who slammed the door shut when she entered.
"Josie, how are you here...?" MG slowly spoke with a disbelieving laugh. He embraced her tightly, swaying her back and forth and lifting her off of her feet.
Whilst they were all hugging and talking to Josie, Hope tried to zone in on what was going on in the office. She could faintly hear Caroline talking to Alaric but she purposely kept her voice very low just so that the vampires couldn't hear her too well. Hope sighed as a smile made it way on her lips, watching all of her friends.
"Jo..." Hope called out to her lowly, causing her to glance up at her from where she was hugging Cleo. The tribrid nudged her head in the direction of the office and Josie nodded, "Excuse us for a minute, guys."
"They can come in and listen right? I mean I don't want to hide anything." Josie asked, walking up to Hope and meeting her eyes.
Hope shrugged, twisting the door knob as if she was giving Caroline and Alaric enough time to get their act together before they barge in, "If that's what you want, I don't mind."
As soon as they entered, both the adults closed their mouths and straightened up, watching as the whole squad entered the office. Alaric stood up, tears welling up in his eyes as he opened his arms for his daughter. Josie sighed as she rested her head on his chest but grimaced slightly as she could smell the alcohol on his breath and the blood flowing in his veins.
Josie tried not to be rude about it as she pushed herself away from her father and made her way back at Hope's side. Alaric didn't seem to notice the fact that her eyes were glued to the vein thumping in the side of his neck and all she could think about was tearing his carotid artery out.
Caroline took a look at every student in the room like she was stalling before she gave up and her shoulders sagged down, losing the tense stance she was in, "What's happening to you, Josie, and Hope, by extension, is a rare occurrence but maybe not so rare for a tribrid like it wasn't rare for your father, Hope..."
"Uhm," Caroline didn't know how to say this as it could reveal some disclosed feelings that her daughter harboured for the tribrid and she really didn't want to out her like that, "Josie is sired to Hope."
"Sired? What do you mean by that?" Hope asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she furrowed her brows in confusion. She could indistinctly remember seeing the word in a journal she'd read from either Stefan Salvatore or her own father but it never really specified what that meant or she just couldn't recall it.
Josie stayed quiet as her mother began to speak up again, "You know Elena, my friend, right? Well, after she was turned into a vampire, she was sired to Damon as she had died with his blood in her system and this was brought about because she had... umm... she had feeling for Damon which made her want to listen to everything he said."
Everyone instinctively looked at Josie when they heard about Elena having feeling for Damon as they somewhat knew that Josie had more-than-platonic feelings for Hope. The brunette's mouth hung open slightly like she was about to defend herself but decided against it when her mother started to make excessive her gestures in front of her.
Caroline's eyes were widened more than the normal limit, "But that doesn't necessarily mean that Josie has feelings for Hope."
The blonde nervously chuckled but everyone knew better, "There's is also another way which is what happened with Klaus and his hybrids where the hybrids felt indebted to him because he broke them out of the full moon cycle so they felt like they owed him."
"So what Caroline is saying is that because Hope's blood turned Josie and essentially stopped the merge from happening, Josie could feel like she has an obligation to obey Hope." Alaric continued, sending Caroline a sharp look as if to tell her to stop rambling.
Hope looked to be deep in thought but Josie just looked flushed, her cheeks were red from the fact that everyone basically had figured out that she had feelings for Hope, "Wait... this is a lot of information to take in."
"Yes, of course it is. If you need some time, take it and come back to us if you need to find out more. It's been a pretty eventful day." Caroline let out a huff as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Yeah... well I'm just gonna..." Josie made some vague gestures in the air with her hand as she could wait to leave this room. It was embarrassing being in a situation like this where all of her friends just found out she had feelings for her best friend— who hadn't seemed to react to the information.
Maybe she should have kept her friends out for the office.
"How do we break the sire bond?" Hope finally spoke, causing Josie's head to snap up at the sound of her voice. Josie silently begged Hope to look at her but the tribrid wasn't going to do so she gave up with a huff. She didn't want to break the bond.
"Well..." Caroline glanced at her daughter just quickly to see if she wanted to break it too but Josie have no indication of being too fond of finding out how, "One way is for the sired vampire to turn off their humanity which you will not be doing Josie and the other way is for Hope to tell Josie that she needs to move on from the bond."
"That's easy enough." This time, Hope actually turned her head and blue eyes glistened as they gazed at her, "Do you want to break the bond, Josie? Because I don't want you to feel like you have to do everything I say."
"Can I please just have some time?" Josie pleaded, asking Hope not to do this in front of everyone. Hope got the message and nodded slowly.
"Of course, Jo, take all the time you need." Hope sent her a small smile which caused Josie to reciprocate and make her way out of the office. Gradually, the office cleared out with all of the squad doing whatever they needed to.
No one dared to mention the fact that Josie could potentially be in love with Hope.
—
A couple of weeks had passed and Josie was well on her way to adjusting to being a heretic...
...Well, actually that was a lie.
The school had her on a strict animal blood diet which honest-to-God was the worst thing ever. It passed down her throat sickeningly, more so when Hope had told her that it was hard to keep animal blood down when she newly turned. She had thrown up almost every time after and thus stuck to starving herself until she needed blood.
It was a horrendous cycle that she just wished she could break but she couldn't because if she ever fed on someone and they died, she wouldn't be able to live with herself.
Hope had tried to help her through it but the heretic was avoiding her... like massively. Every time she heard Hope's footsteps— having memorised the sound— Josie would practically sprint off into the other direction and had semi-successfully avoided Hope through every new vampire class she was in with her.
Josie could tell that Hope was getting frustrated with her which Josie could tell in the way Hope swore under her breath every time she knew Josie was running away from her.
The next time she couldn't evade Hope was well after eight pm when Josie had slipped down to the kitchen to grab an animal blood bag to give into her cravings. She grimaced as she opened the bag and stood over at the sink so that she wouldn't throw up onto the ground.
Her first sip, after wrapping her lips around the top, was the hardest to swallow. She had to stop herself from gagging as the blood settled onto her tongue before trickling down her throat uneasily. A permanent grimace rested on her face as she continued to try and finish the bag.
"Jo..." A soft whisper startled her, having not heard any footsteps. The words might have been whispered but they were thundering in her ears like Hope was the only thing that she wanted to listen to, "Please don't run away from me."
Josie didn't have to turn around to tell that Hope was treading towards her slowly, now she could finally hear Hope's footsteps. It was like she was stuck in her place and couldn't move, probably an effect of the sire bond commanding her to stay put.
Instinctively, she twisted her body around to see Hope looking so stunning in the outfit she wore after school as she had to make a trip to town (Josie had been keeping tabs on her). The tribrid was in black jeans, black low cut top and leather jacket, along with her all-time favourite heeled boots that made her a couple of inches taller.
The tribrid's posture softened as she saw the grimace on Josie's face, not knowing it was kind of her fault that the heretic didn't like animal blood. Josie attempted to force down the rest of the animal blood but it just wasn't satisfactory enough for her.
Her stomach churned like it was set on fire, causing her to cringe, knowing what was about to happen. She crossed her arms over her stomach, trying not to make it obvious that she was currently making an effort not to show Hope that she couldn't keep the animal blood down.
That effort all went to waste when she spun around and hurled out all the animal blood into the sink, gagging as it made it way out of her mouth and dripped into the sink. Hope was by her side in an instant, rubbing up and down her back.
"You can't keep the animal blood down, can you?" Hope asked in a subdued manner, not wanting anyone near the kitchen to hear their conversation. She lifted her hands to gather Josie's hair so that it wouldn't get dirty.
"No, it physically hurts to keep it down." Josie told her, wanting to move away from Hope but not being able to do so. The tribrid didn't seem to notice as she went and grabbed a napkin for Josie to clean herself off on.
"Why didn't you come to me, Jo? I could've helped you." Hope murmured right next to her ear. Josie raised herself from her position of being hunched over the sink, rubbing the water over the blood and watching as it faded to a light pink before turned clear.
"Because Hope..." I've been avoiding you, Josie wanted to say but she didn't. She bowed her head, trying not to look into soft blue eyes.
"Is it because of the bond? We can break it if you want." Hope uses her hand to lift Josie's chin so that she would actually look at her and gazing into her eyes, the tribrid could tell that Josie didn't want to break the bond which actually caused butterflies in her stomach.
"No, no, I don't want that." Ever since she died and became a heretic, she couldn’t feel the bond she used to have with Lizzie, couldn't tell when her twin was in pain or when she was happy and this sire bond has helped with that even if she had been avoiding Hope, she knew that the bond kept them close.
"Okay," A smile over took Hope's lips as she removed her hand from Josie's chin. The heretic immediately missed the touch but that was soon filled by the auburnette grasping her bicep to pull her away from the sink, "Come with me, I know something that can help."
Josie followed as Hope led her up the stairs to the girls dormitory where her and Hope's rooms were on the far side near her father's office, probably so he could keep an eye on them. They passed Josie's room so that meant they were going to Hope's room.
The tribrid opened the door for Josie and allowed her to enter, looking around in the hallways to see if anyone was there and since there wasn't, she closed the door. Josie stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, arms wrapped around her middle as she glanced around the room.
Shrugging off her jacket, Hope got a little more comfortable and chuckled under her breath, seeing how Josie was being so awkward. The tribrid raised her hand and gestured for the heretic to come closer, "Come here."
And as if she was on autopilot, Josie stepped forward, a little slowly so she didn't expose how eager she was to get closer to the tribrid. Hope rolled up her sleeve and little by little, more skin showed on her arms as Josie moved closer.
Hope lifted her arm for Josie when she was close enough. "Since you cannot keep the animal blood down, you need to drink from the vein. The only solution for that without getting a guilty conscience is for you to drink from me."
Josie seemed hesitant to agree as she'd heard that blood sharing wasn't something to be taken lightly between vampires, "Are you sure, Hope? Isn't blood sharing a little..." Personal, she wanted to say but the word became choked up in her throat.
"Don't worry, Jo." Hope offered up her arm once again, this time biting it so that blood dripped out just enough to tempt Josie a little more. Josie took one last glance into Hope's eyes where she only found encouragement before she grabbed onto the almost already healed arm and latched onto it with her lips, sucking on the blood.
Hope inhaled sharply as soon as Josie's fangs grazed her arm and sunk in. She pulled Josie's close to her front as her other hand brushed back the brunette's hair off her shoulder, getting used to the feeling of someone feeding off of her.
The blood lust took over for Josie as she continued to drink and she leaned heavily against Hope's front, a small moan escaping her mouth. Not expecting Josie too fully lean on her, Hope stumbled backwards and slammed into the door, groaning a little but keeping Josie as close as possible.
"That's it, sweet girl." Hope praised, murmuring as she ran her fingers through Josie's hair, the tribrid's eyes closing in delight. No one ever told her that being fed on felt like this.
Josie hummed at the praise and the blood, messily letting it drip onto her chin. This blood was actually staying down and it tasted oh so amazing, better than anything she'd ever had before. The heretic pulled away breathing heavily, tongue lapping up at the blood covering her teeth.
Turning her head, Josie looked at Hope, chest still heaving slightly as she recovered from the rush the blood had given her, it felt powerful— obviously due to it being the blood of the tribrid. Hope's pupils were dilated, the blue of her eyes barely visible as a ring around the black.
Josie looked so goddamn hot, her mouth covered in Hope's blood just made her look even better.
The tribrid glanced down at her lips as her thumb swiped under the heretic's lip before she placed it into her mouth, sucking the blood off of it. Josie's breath hitched, witnessing the hungry glint in Hope's eyes and before she knew it, Hope had slammed their lips together.
Hope grinned at the taste of the blood on her tongue as it swiped over Josie's bottom lip. Josie moaned when she granted Hope's tongue the access she wanted. The tribrid's tongue did the most amazing thing around her tongue as she slid her skilful hands around the brunette's waist.
Josie slid her hands around Hope's neck, hands moving further up to tangle into auburn hair, fisting her hand and pulling slightly, "Hope..."
Both girls were breathing heavily as they stayed close together. Josie leaned back in, taking Hope's bottom lip between hers, kissing her heatedly as her fingernails dug into Hope's scalp, causing the tribrid to groan at the feeling. Her lower region began to tighten in her pants.
They pulled away only for their lips to be attracted again like magnets; it was honestly so difficult to stay away from such addicting lips. Josie moved her hands down to the neckline of Hope's shirt only for her to get desperate and rip it open as Hope only chuckled, letting her do so. Josie was a little amazed at how easily it ripped but then remembered she had this newfound strength.
"Desperate are we?" Hope smirked like a predator was gazing at their prey, eyes locked onto Josie's bruised, pink lips. Josie's hand slid down Hope's middle in response. Hope closed her eyes and tipped her head back in delight. "You wanna play it like that... Fine."
Swapping their position, Hope made sure Josie's back was to the bed as her hands eagerly fisted into the neckline of Josie's shirt which she pulled apart in an instant, exposing milky skin underneath where Josie was only wearing a bra. Hope roughly pushed Josie back so that she fell against the bed.
"Fuck." Josie was loving how rough Hope was being with her. She tried to get up but Hope hovered over her, settling between her legs, and connecting their lips. Josie's fingers clutched onto Hope's jaw as the tribrid's kiss was quite fast due to how impatient she was.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?" Hope asked after realising that she'd basically attacked Josie.
"No, no, of course not." Josie hooked her thighs around Hope's hips as she helped her discard the ripped shirt and throw it somewhere in the room. Hope grinned, leaning forward on her hands as she nudged her nose against Josie's and then trailed it down to her neck.
"You smell so good, Jo." Hope moaned, a low rumble was felt on Josie's neck. Hope placed a soft kiss to the base of the brunette's neck where she sucked the skin into her mouth, whispering a spell onto the skin so that the mark stayed implemented onto her skin, "Fuck, you smell like my best dream. Your arousal is going to drive me insane."
"You're so wet for me..." Hope didn't even have to be close to Josie to know that the brunette was already dripping like a fucking waterfall for her. The tribrid kissed down the heretic's chest and then down her stomach where she reached the waist band of her skirt.
Her teeth scraped along the waistband as she looked up at Josie with permission, Josie nodded and Hope got to sliding down the skirt until it was off. Hope placed subtle kisses going up from Josie ankle to her knee and then stopping somewhere near the apex of her thigh. "Put your leg on my shoulder."
Complying, Josie moaned as Hope's other hand tightened around the leg that was still around her hips. If Hope continued to command her like this, Josie was sure she wouldn't last another minute. Hope extended her double fangs, looking at Josie in question, "Can I?"
"Please." Josie whimpered, her hand struck out to grasp Hope's bicep tightly as tapered fangs grazed the skin of her inner thigh. Hope pierced her skin right where the great saphenous vein was which was the best place to get blood in the vein.
Hope hummed at the taste on her tongue as Josie moaned at the fact that Hope's nails were now digging into her thigh when she continued to drink to her heart's content. Hope retracted her fangs, licking the two wounds to soothe the area that immediately healed.
Josie couldn't help herself anymore and tried to remove her leg from the tribrid's shoulder but Hope held her leg in place, her eye flashing a deep gold colour as she growled, "Did I say you can move your leg?"
"Hope..." Josie whined, sliding her hand from Hope's bicep to her shoulder, "I want you."
"Hmm, but..." Hope pouted slightly, her fingers trialing from where she'd bitten Josie along her thigh to her hip where she used her index and middle finger to lightly tap against the skin, "I'm in the mood to tease you a little bit. Think of it as, let's say, a punishment for not coming to me when you needed help."
"That's not fair, Hope, I just couldn’t ... talk to you. It's was too much of an embarrassment." Josie told her, sighing and hiding her face in her hands.
"Embarrassment, why?" Hope leaned forward, this time dropping Josie's leg from her shoulder and pressing her knees into the mattress and grinning when she realised why Josie was embarrassing— well, it was more of that infuriatingly hot smirk that she had, "Because you have feelings for me, right?"
Silence was Josie's response, sucking in her bottom lip between her teeth as she flushed a bright pink at reminder of her feelings for Hope. She attempted to avoid eye contact but Hope wasn’t having it. The tribrid used her fingers to grasp Josie's chin and forcing her head so that their eyes met. Josie let out an inaudible gasp as heat pooled in her stomach.
"Look at me when I talk to you, sweet girl." Hope's voice sounded stern but the smirk on her lips told Josie that Hope was enjoying this, "You don't want to find out when happens when you don't."
Shit, it was going to be harder to control herself.
"Do tell, Josette, do you have feelings for me or do you feel indebted to me because I broke you free from the merge?" Hope asked and this time Josie kept her eyes on Hope, letting out a shaky breath at the closeness as Hope muttered the words. Josie just couldn't keep her eyes off the tribrid.
"I'm in love with you." Josie blurted out, slapping a hand over her mouth as her eyes opened wide at the reveal. Hope actually looked a little surprised at the confession, she had an inkling that Josie liked her but she didn't think that it went much further than being a crush.
"Fuck why did I just say that?" Josie murmured but honestly it was muffled by her hand that she was. ow slowly removing after completely embarrassing herself.
"I guess you can't lie to me, Jo." Hope replied and when Josie gazed into understanding blue eyes, she saw no ill-will at the acknowledgment of her feelings. It all just made Josie totally aware of the fact that Hope was hovering over her and Josie was still completely and utterly turned on by the tribrid.
"You love me?" Hope asked softly, her hand removing from Josie's chin to slide onto her neck as she tilted her head down awaiting for the heretic's answer. "Tell me sweetheart."
Josie nodded; there was no point in hiding it anymore, it was out in the open that Josie loved Hope so she didn't feel the need to conceal it, "I do."
Hope smiled— not smirked— showing how genuine her reaction was. The tribrid connected their lips together slowly at first before the kiss quickly became heated and Hope's hand tightened around Josie's neck.
Josie didn't even care that Hope didn't return the sentiment, this was all enough.
Their lips broke apart only for a quick second for a breath before they slotted back together, falling into an easy rhythm. Hope's other hand snaked under Josie's half-naked body to her back so she could lift her body up slightly, aligning their hips in a way that never felt better.
Josie was in awe at how easily Hope held her up, she knew she had similar strength but when Hope displayed it like this it was insanely attractive. The press of Hope's bulge against her panties was all it took for Josie to moan and maybe the fact that Hope had bit a little too harshly onto her bottom lip and drew blood.
"Take your jeans off, Hope, I need to feel you." Josie spoke breathily onto her lips. She attempted to reach for the button on Hope's jeans but Hope's hand at her neck tightened a little, not painfully but it definitely had a good effect on Josie.
"If you want it so badly, do it yourself." Hope leaned back onto her calves. Josie took that as her chance to pop open the button and pull down the zipper before helping Hope out do the skin tight jeans and her boots that she had left on. Once she'd done so, Hope nudged Josie back so she was laying down.
"How do you wanna do this?" Hope asked, she couldn't help but peck Josie's pink lips whilst doing so. Hope was gazing at her and awaiting her answer as she twirled a strand of brunette hair around her finger.
"I'll do anything you want, Hope, you know that." That was true even without the sire bond which they both knew so Josie shyly averted her gaze down, her hands now splayed on Hope's abdomen where she traced the faint lines of the muscles that had formed from all those years of training.
Another genuine smile from Hope was all it took for the brunette to lift her hips after Hope's little tap to her side so that she could take her panties off and throw them somewhere in the room. Josie thinks they landed on a lamp or something. Within a second, Hope had switched their position so Josie was straddling her waist.
"I want you to ride me." Hope told her after seeming her curious expression. Josie helped Hope with her boxers where an erect member sprung out, bigger than any others she'd ever seen but considering that Hope was so short, there had to be somewhere else the height went to.
Josie looked down at Hope with her wide, doe eyes that appeared to be so innocent which completely contradicted this whole situation, "I don't think I can take it all."
"You will, sweetheart." Hope firmly spoke, her hands clutching Josie's hips as she effortlessly lifted Josie over the member, allowing for the brunette to make the decision of when she wanted to start. Josie looked a little nervous as she shifted her hips to ready herself.
Josie eased herself slowly onto Hope, moaning as she did so. Her hands were placed on Hope's stomach as she tried to take all like Hope had told her to do. The control the tribrid had over her was such a turn on that it was easier for the heretic to slide down on Hope due to how wet she was.
"Ah, Jo..." Hope groaned, eyes closing against their will at how smoothly she slipped into the brunette.
When Josie was ready, her hips lifted until only the tip remained inside her before she sheathed Hope back into her, working herself into a pleasurable rhythm. Josie moaned as their hips rutted together when Hope began to buck up inside her.
It took absolutely no time for Hope to find Josie's g-spot and when she did, her hands tightened around her hips, smirking. Hope took control now; she pounded up into Josie each time Josie came down which hit the deepest spot inside Josie that had her working closer to her climax.
“Hope, shit…” Josie moaned, in an almost animalistic manner with the way Hope was railing her right now. It was all in the right angles, the right pace, the right amount of power behind the thrusts. Josie was in a whole other world.
Hope couldn’t take Josie being on top anymore and immediately spun them around so that the heretic was now in her back and being fucked into the mattress as Hope growled at the fact that Josie was seemingly tightening around her. Josie’s legs hooked around Hope’s hips to pull her in more.
“Agh… Hope, nghh, don’t stop, baby!” Josie couldn’t stop the moans escaping her. It seemed as if the tribrid on top of her was using her full strength and not holding back at all with her thrusts because was sure she could feel it in her stomach.
“I won’t.” Hope grunted in her ear, hands pressing into the mattress beside Josie’s head as she kept up with her thrusts. The wooden frame of the bed hit the wall continuously, creating its own rhythm like their hips were. Josie’s finger nails dug into the back of Hope’s shoulders deeply. “Don’t you dare come, Josie.”
The voice in her ear was husky and full of commands which meant that Hope was fully taking advantage of the sire bond but but Josie couldn’t find it in herself to care as her nails dragged down Hope’s back, drawing blood at how deep they’d been dug in. Hope let out a hiss bit the movement of her hips never stopped.
“Fuck.” Hope looked down at Josie, now well aware of the bed hitting the wall and looking into Josie’s unfocused eyes, “Keep your eyes on me baby.”
Josie immediately listened, her eyes meeting deep golden rings. Hope leaned down to connect their lips to muffle a moan that escaped Josie’s mouth. The brunette tried her best to reciprocate but it was quite difficult and had to break the kiss.
“Can… I come, Hope?” Josie asked as Hope finally nodded, feeling her hips begin to stutter as she also felt her climax begin to reach.
With a very loud and throaty moan, Josie felt her climax take over her. A huge wave of pleasure washed over like a cold bucket of water that just made everything better. Hope’s hips slowed down now and if they had, they might have broken the bed which would’ve been an awkward thing to explain.
“Fuck!! I love you!” In the heat of the moment, the tribrid said the three words Josie had been yearning to hear.
Hope unleashed herself inside Josie, filling her up with her hot fluid, causing Josie to moan and rest her forehead against Hope’s. The two girls breathed—or more likely panted— together, bringing their lips into a kiss that surely took their breath away.
The only thing that broke Josie out of her daze a little was the cold metal of the etching of Hope’s family crest necklace resting against her sweaty neck as Hope buried her face into her neck. The tribrid could feel the way Josie’s chest was heaving up and down heavily and knew that she’d done a good job.
She’d only just registered that Hope had told her she loved her and grinned before raising her head to look into the mirror where she could see Hope’s back that had drops of blood leaking from the closing wounds. Her grin turning into a grimace, “Oh, I’m sorry, Hope.”
“It’s not problem, kitten, they’re already healing.” Hope smirked at the nickname, causing Josie to blush and slot her lips with Hope’s to distract her from her embarrassment. Hope kissed back eagerly, her arms wrapping around Josie’s back and lifting her up so that Josie was wrapped around her.
“I guess being sired to you isn’t so bad.” Josie said after they’d pulled away from the breathtaking kiss.
“Really? well, sex with you isn’t too bad either.” Hope chuckled as Josie smacked the back of her head lightly before tangling her hands into her hair and pulling their lips back together, “Oh, sorry, what I meant to say was making love to you is amazing.”
“Will you continue making love to me?” Josie asked, shifting her hips a little to help awaken the member inside her, feigning innocence with those big doe, bambi eyes that Hope loved so much.
“Fuck yes!”
