Peter is looking somewhere to the left of the camera, and he is biting the skin around his right thumbnail. He takes a visible breath before finally looking at the camera and giving it an awkward smile.
“Hello, everyone, I’m Peter Parker… which you probably know already.” He sighs. “It’s been a couple of weeks since my identity as Spider-Man was outed, and, well, it’s probably been the worst couple of weeks of my life, which is saying a lot.” He shakes his head and takes another breath. “Everyone thinks I killed Mysterio. That I organized the attack on London. I… God, I can’t even look out the window without someone telling me I’m a murderer.
“And I understand, really. Spider-Man going rogue and killing a bunch of people wouldn’t be the weirdest thing to happen. And Mysterio is a good liar. But that’s what he was: a liar. And I know most of you aren't going to believe me but I have to at least try. Cause this is hurting more people than just me. And it’s not fair to them to get their lives torn apart just cause they know me.
“So, here it is. Mysterio was a man named Quentin Beck. He worked for Stark Industries, and I guess he was pissed off at Mr. Stark. Tony, he- He was my mentor, I guess. I started being Spider-Man when I was only fourteen, and he, he found me, helped me. Kept me safe, trained me, he- he was… He was like a father to me. I told him once that I only wanted to be like him. He said he wanted me to be better. After… after, he left me these glasses, E.D.I.T.H.: Even In Death I’m The Hero.” Peter rolls his eyes, but has a fond smile on his face. "It had a note: 'For the next Tony Stark. I trust you.' And I- I'm not him, I can't, I'm just a kid and he, he was so great.
"And then there was the first attack, and I met Mysterio- Beck, and he, I mean I trusted him." He lets out a self-deprecating laugh. "I was an idiot. That, that was my fault, I screwed up. I gave him the glasses. I thought he could do more good with them than I ever could." He rubs his eyes and sighs. "He used the drones, Stark tech, to attack London. I… I never meant for it to end up like it did. It was the drones that killed him in the end. I didn't kill Mysterio. I swear I didn't.
"I only figured out he was bad because MJ… She found one of the projectors and we figured out he had faked them, the whole thing, but I'd already given him E.D.I.T.H. by then. God, I was so stupid. He played me. He played all of us. I don't know when he even had the time to film that video, but I guess I was naive to think the bridge would be the end of it. He was working with others, he must have, to be able to set up the illusions, to- to fool us all the way he did. I guess he sent it to his partners and they edited it, made it seem like I- I did it, and sent it to the Bugle." He takes a deep breath, looking away from the camera as if to gather his thoughts.
"So yeah, there you go. The truth. That I fucked up, trusted someone I shouldn't have and now everyone thinks I'm the villain. But Mysterio wasn't a hero. All he wanted was revenge and I, I gave him the way to do it. I- I didn't know, I swear, I never wanted any of this." His eyes water and there's a small pause before he speaks again. "I just wanted to help the little guy. Be the 'Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man'. I have powers, and that means I have a responsibility. To help. All I ever wanted to do was help." He rubs his eyes again, this time to dispel the tears. "I guess this is Spider-Man, signing out."
The video cuts to black.

That doesn't mean they can't turn bad. Just because they've done good in the past doesn't mean we should blindly believe them. Do we really know Spider-Man? How do you know it wasn't just a con to gain the public's trust? Or if he really was doing it out of the goodness of his heart how do you know the death of his mentor didn't push him over the edge?

But doesn't he deserve the benefit of the doubt at the very least? And how do you know Mysterio is good? How do you know he didn't do what Parker said, set up the attacks to gain the public's trust? You know, objectively, more about Spider-Man than you do Mysterio, yet you choose to believe Mysterio? If you are going to be skeptical, be skeptical about both of them, then.

We can confirm Quentin Beck alias Mysterio was a scientist working for Stark Industries. He was one of the leaders on the B.A.R.F. proyect. He left the company shortly after it's launch.

I would like to thank everyone that's been defending me online. It's nice to know some people still believe in Spider-Man. For those asking for proof, sadly I only have my word. It's not like I was recording the fight and I don't know if there's some records in EDITH, but I don't have access to it anyway, the police has it. Sorry guys. Trust me, if there was something I could do to I would.

As someone who knows Peter Parker personally, that kid couldn't hurt a fly. Like, we are talking about a kid who literally walked through fire to save the life of a man that was trying to kill him. He is not a murderer. I'm pretty sure there's not a single bad bone in his body.
