Iruma is very confused. The last thing he remembered was being sold to a demon by his parents. Now, he woke up in a luxurious looking bedroom that is definitely not his house. And he heard some strange voice say "Ahhhh, one of the many bedrooms in Lord Sullivan's house. How amusing it is." Iruma was freaked out. He immediately asked the voice "Who and where are you? What do you mean?"
"Ah, pardon me for not introducing myself. I am known as the Demon King Derkila and I am in your head. As for what I mean... Well, you are the first human in many eons that come to the Land of Demons. A lot of demons deem humans to be quite a delicious meal."
"What?!?!?!"
"Don't fret about it too much. Oh my, I sense him nearby. Good luck, you will need it." said the voice known as the Demon King Derkila. A bald demon with a pair of horns and glasses walked in. He introduced himself as Lord Sullivan and wants to adopt him. Iruma wants to refuse but the voice is back. Under the repeated pleading of Lord Sullivan and the voice in his head, he caved in and stamped the adoption paper.
Lord Sullivan seemed to be very happy and immediately brought Iruma to the dining room. There, he saw tons of weird looking food including eyeballs waiting for him. He was planning to politely refuse eating it but Derkilla pleaded with him to try. Once again, he caved in and tried to eat a dish experimentally. His eyes went wide at how amazing the food tasted and ended up eating all of them. Derkila seems to be very happy since he kept hearing booming laughter in his head.
It turns out, no matter how he hides, he still needs to go to a school. In his case, a school called Babyls Demon School. Derkila seems to be enjoying his misery until Lord Sullivan mentions something about blending in to prevent demons from. finding out and killing him. Derkila seems to have an idea and he suddenly gained a pair of wings, a tail and pointier teeth. Lord Sullivan looked at him feeling shocked for a moment before laughing saying that he looked like the demon king, Derkila himself. Iruma's eyes widened.
That is when the voice said "Don't tell him my existence, I don't wanna deal with the 13 idiots." Being a soft hearted person, Iruma agreed. At night, Iruma can't help but ask the question regarding the 13 idiots and his new appendages that he was practicing using just now. (He banged into the wall multiple times during his learning session.) "13 idiots, also known as 13 crowns, are supposed to be 13 matured demons helping to decide the best future. Unfortunately, what they do is increase my workload so they are useless. Well, most of them are. And those features are for you to blend in. And you will also need a bloodline ability. I will give you the easiest to master, which is 'Survival'. It will help you to survive in the most ridiculous way. And you should be sleeping so have a nice rest," said Derkila. Iruma fell asleep soon after that.
