Marky meowed outside the door, clawing at it.
Ritchie’s ear twitched, moving to burry his head in the cat bed. “Shut up! We know he’s gonna be awake to feed us soon!”
“No! No, he’s late this time!”
“You say that every morning, and you’re always wrong!”
“But he is this time!”
“The beeps haven’t even started yet!”
Johnny hissed, curling up more in his spot on the cat tower. “Both of you shut it! The rest of us are trying to sleep!”
“Tell that to Marky!”
Joey shook his head, still curled up next to the radiator, Tommy in a similar position next to him, though somehow still asleep and purring.
Dee Dee ran by them, going to join Marky in meowing at the door.
“Who the fuck gave Dee Dee catnip?”
Joey looked up sleepily. “Arturo came through the backyard earlier. You were still asleep.”
“Goddamnit-”
The beeps started, and Monte appeared at the bedroom door a few moments later. “Not sure why I bother setting an alarm when I have you two.” He said, going to the kitchen to feed them, the cats all choosing to follow him for the usually noisy affair that was breakfast.
