"Bakugou!" Kirishima pointed from across the classroom to his best friend, who sat in his desk with his usual scowl and his arms crossed. "It's your turn this weekend!"
"Hell no."
"Oh, come on, Blasty!" Mina whined. "You dodge hosting the sleepover every weekend, you have to contribute at some point!"
". . .My mom has plans this weekend."
"What about your dad?" Sero raised his eyebrows. "He'll be there, right?"
"She's inviting someone over, so you idiots can't be there."
Bakugou scowled when he heard a small snicker behind him and just barely refrained from turning around and smacking the damn nerd.
"Call her right now, let me ask her!" Kaminari protested. "Your mom loves me, she's gonna say yes for sure."
"Like fuck I will, leave it alone, dammit! Why can't the stupid thing just be at Shitty Hair's house again?!"
"I hosted last weekend!"
Sero shared a glance with Kaminari and smirked, waiting until Bakugou was facing frontward again before using his tape to snatch Bakugou's phone from the side pocket of his backpack and tossing it over to Kaminari.
"Oi! Give it the fuck back!"
Kaminari laughed and typed in the password easily, and in less than twenty seconds, he was already calling Bakugou Mitsuki and waiting as the line rang, putting it on speakerphone.
"I'll kill you, Dunce Face━!"
"What the hell do you want, Katsuki?! Aren't you supposed to be in class?!"
"Hi, Bakugou-san!" Kaminari chirped with a grin. "Quick question!"
"Oh, Kaminari. What's up, kid?"
"We're all wondering if we could have our sleepover at the Bakugou household this weekend, and since Kacchan always refuses I thought we'd ask you instead."
Mitsuki cackled over the line and Bakugou scowled. "Undermining the brat! I love it! Yeah sure, you guys can come over for the weekend, long as you don't mind my own guest over here, too."
"No problem, Bakugou-san!" Mina sang. "Thank you!"
As Bakugou's friends said their goodbyes to his mom on his phone, Bakugou furiously scribbled on a piece of notebook paper and folded it haphazardly before dropping it on the desk behind them.
Izuku chuckled to himself when he realized that Bakugou had only passed the note when no one else was looking. When he opened the paper, he had to put a hand over his mouth to keep himself from laughing out loud.
Say or do anything fucking stupid with my mom in front of the idiots, you're dead in training on Monday. I'll kill you.
Scribbling something of his own on the paper, Izuku made sure no one was looking before he passed it back.
No promises, Kacchan!
Bakugou turned slightly in his chair and gave a harsh kick sideways, just barely hitting Izuku in the shin. Izuku only laughed.
"Katsuki, your friends are here!" Bakugou Masaru cheered from the entryway, calling his son from the kitchen.
"Tell 'em to wait in the damn living room, then! I'm making fucking dinner!"
"Make sure you make extra tonight for━"
"I know, old man! Don't fucking remind me!"
In the living room, Kaminari tossed his bag onto a chair and flopped down onto the couch dramatically. "Kacchan is making us food! It's like a dream!"
"I can hear you, fucking idiot!"
"Where's Bakugou-san?" Mina asked, pouting. "I was gonna ask her if she liked my outfit."
"Ah," Masaru chuckled as he led the rest of Katsuki's friends into the living room to let them get settled. "She's still out shopping with her. . . friend. They'll be back before dinner time, no worries."
"Bakugou!" Kirishima called, grinning. "What'cha making us, man?"
"Katsudon! Don't like it, fucking deal with it!" the blond yelled from the kitchen.
Sero's face scrunched in confusion. "Doesn't Bakugou hate katsudon, though? Every time someone eats it at school he gets this look on his face."
Masaru shook his head. "He makes it pretty often so he's probably just tired of it. He doesn't hate it, though. Mitsuki's guest likes it a lot so Katsuki makes it whenever he comes over. Which is. . . frequent enough. We don't mind, though, I think Katsuki is just. . ."
"Salty about it?" Kaminari offered.
"Yes," Masaru nodded. "That."
About fifteen minutes later, those in the living room could hear the front door opening and two laughing voices from down the hallway.
"I swear, I saw them come out of the teacher faculty room with red faces and one of them had the biggest mark on their neck! Total scandal, they should be glad that I'm not a blabbermouth to the rest of the school."
"You're telling me, though, kiddo."
"You don't count, obviously. Best friends never count in the secret-telling scenario."
"Oi!" everyone heard Katsuki yell from the kitchen. "Nerd! Hag! Come eat before the fucking food gets cold! You too, idiots!"
"Oh, they're here already!" Mitsuki walked into the living room and set down about four shopping bags. "Katsuki, set an extra plate at the table for━!"
"I know, dammit! Nerd, come get your fucking food! You get first dibs on the damn katsudon, hag's rules!"
"Kacchan, stop calling Auntie a hag, it's rude!"
Kirishima, Mina, Sero, and Kaminari blinked when they watched Midoriya Izuku walk in behind Mitsuki and set down twice as many bags as he slipped his shoes off. He grinned at the four of them and waved, before comfortably walking his way to the kitchen as if he'd been there thousands of times before.
"I'll call my mom whatever the fuck I want to, asshole! Just get your damn bowl!"
"Alright, alright, I'm getting it!"
"Mido-bro?" Kirishima's jaw was dropped open. "Why didn't he say anything when we planned this earlier?"
"Katsuki probably didn't want to say anything, the damn brat," Mitsuki chuckled. She gave her husband a kiss on the cheek before ruffling the hair of each of Katsuki's friends and leading the way to the kitchen. "C'mon, kiddos, dinner time."
When they walked into the kitchen, Kaminari was the first to break into peals of laughter, Mina following, then Sero and finally Kirishima. Katsuki stood there behind the counter with a dark green apron on that looked hand-sewn, the words THAT AIN'T BURNT, THAT'S FLAVOR in bold across the chest and abdomen. In his one hand he held a wooden spoon and the other was clutching a hunched-over Izuku's hair. Katsuki was yelling, Izuku was laughing, and both froze when they heard the laughs of their classmates and friends, along with Katsuki's parents. Izuku was still breathlessly giggling as the excitement died down and Katsuki whacked Izuku's back one last time with the spoon before he set it on the counter and scowled at his friends.
"Are you gonna get a bowl or just stand there like fucking idiots."
"Midoriya, dude, why didn't you tell us you'd be here tonight?" Kaminari asked during dinner. "We totally would've made more plans if we knew you'd be here too!"
"He's not here for the sleepover, you dumbasses," Katsuki rolled his eyes. "He's here to hang with the old hag."
"Kacchan."
"Shut up, Deku!"
"Mido-babe, you're Bakugou-san's guest we heard about?!" Mina's eyes widened and she leaned forward with a grin. "That's so cute!"
"They're best friends, unfortunately," Katsuki grumbled, stabbing his pork cutlet with his fork aggressively. Masaru patted his back in mock sympathy, and Katsuki scowled at his father's hand.
Izuku snorted. "Where'd your apron come from, Kacchan?"
"Shut the fuck up."
"Ooh! I wanna know!" Kaminari raised his arm excitedly, like they were in class.
Katsuki narrowed his gaze in warning. "Deku, don't you fucking dare."
"It was a handmade gift for his eleventh birthday from━"
"Fuck you, Deku!"
"━my mom. He wears it all the time. Pretty sure it's his favorite."
Kirishima choked on his rice trying not to laugh out loud, and Katsuki pointed his fork at Izuku threateningly. "Training. Monday. You and me. You're dead."
"I thought you told me not to lose anymore?" Izuku smirked. "Change your mind, Kacchan?"
"How the fuck do you expect to win with that terrible left hook of yours, damn Deku?"
"I'm not just using 5% anymore like last time," Izuku innocently ate a bite of egg and rice. "You can finally fight me at 20%, Kacchan! Maybe I'll actually win this time."
"I'd like to see you try it, nerd." Katsuki ferally grinned, and their other friends glanced between the two of them with a mix of amusement and concern.
"Are they always like this?" Mina asked Masaru from beside him.
Masaru sighed and smiled while he and the others watched the two argue like old siblings. "Not always. As kids? They were thick as thieves. They grew apart for a while, but only the two of them know why, they never told Mitsuki or Inko or myself. Recently they seemed to have patched things up, though, somehow. It's not the same as way back when, but it's as close as it's been in a long time, so we're really glad. Very awkward when Mitsuki and Izuku-kun would spend time together while they were still on the rocks."
"Phew, I bet," Sero said from Mina's other side. "At the beginning of school they really seemed to hate each other. Or at least Bakugou hated Midoriya. We all noticed the change too, but every time we bring it up they avoid the topic, so we just stopped asking and enjoyed the fact that they're not at each other's throats all the time now."
"Hey, Midoriya!" Kirishima piped in. "Didn't you go see Eri after classes today? How is she?"
"Eri-chan is doing great!" Izuku's face brightened. "I actually bought some new hair bows for her when Auntie Mitsuki and I were at the mall, so she and Hadou-san can do some more braids and stuff! I even let them practice on me sometimes, but they can't do much with how short my hair is. It's still fun, though!"
Mitsuki smiled at Izuku. "She's the little sweetheart you saved during your internships? The one you showed me pictures of?"
"Yeah!" Izuku nodded. "I forgot to get her some more candy apples at the place I usually get them from when I go to the mall, but that's okay! I can just make her some again!"
"Dude, you're like, a saint or something," Kaminari shook his head. "How do you do so many nice things."
"Because he's Deku," Katsuki gave Kaminari a Look. "He's always fucking been this way."
Mitsuki threw her arm around Izuku's shoulder's from next to her and ruffled his hair fondly. "And don't you dare change, kid!"
"I won't Auntie Mitsuki," Izuku grinned. "I promise."
