Work Text:

"It's ruined! Ruined, I tell you!" The old man screeched as he held his head from the massive pain he felt. Albeit, it seemed a bit too dramatic.

On the ground lied a broken, stone statue. The statue had been accidentally destroyed by none other than the honorary knight, Aether. The blond was currently trying to apologize as much as he could, but the onlooking villagers simply weren't having it.

"It'll take us a year to replace this statue! One that has been with us for many, MANY decades! To honor the guardian adepti who protect us!" The old man continued, pointing aggressively to Aether.

"I-I'm sorry!" Aether waved his hands with a sweat. "The ruin guard fell on it—! I didn't mean to push it that far-!"

"Oh yes you did, you sly traveler!"

"Hey, hey! How dare you blame this guy after he saved your behinds!?" Paimon interjects. "Honestly, we've had better feedback than this, even if an entire mountain gets destroyed!"

"How dare you belittle our efforts and custom, tooth fairy!" Another villager scowled.

"Tooth fairy!?" Paimon gasped in offense. "Oooh, you—!"

Aether quickly gets a hold of Paimon before she could get to them-

"I say we report him to the Millelith and—!"

"What on earth is going on?" a deep voice interjects.

The chilling tone had shut everyone up. Even Paimon froze for a second, before looking around with Aether. Their eyes widen.

"Th-The vigilant yaksha!" she yelped, as Xiao stepped forward, arms crossed with an expression that could immediately be read as mundane exasperation.

"Explain," Xiao demands, ignoring the nickname.

"This hooligan ruined our statue of your honor, m-mister adeptus!" The old man points down at the pathetic crumbs of the broken statue. "We simply cannot let him get away with it!"

"Really now," Xiao hummed as he barely eyed the trashed remains. Mindless worshipping. As usual, he didn't care for it. He could already tell this situation wasn't worth his time or breath. But he had noticed Aether seemed to be in an unusual pinch with these pesky villagers. "And how did it come to this?"

"It was several ruin guards!" Paimon quickly spoke over the old man. "They commissioned us to take down the ruin guards that were stalking their land. And Aether did! Paimon swears! But they're completely ignoring that just because of some statue—!"

"It was intentional!" The old man bellowed over her, while Aether only face palmed with a sigh. "Planned from the start, I'd say!"

"As if he'd believe you guys over us anyway! Right, Xiao?" Paimon asks with a confident smirk, very obviously relying on their connection with the yaksha to get them out of the situation.

Xiao's golden eyes slowly slid from the villagers, to Paimon, then to Aether. He sees the traveler awkwardly looking back to him, rightfully weary of just what Xiao planned to do.

And he finally answers everyone's anxious thoughts, by raising a hand.

"Come, traveler," Xiao states, gesturing with a finger for Aether to step forward. This draws a shocked sound out of both Aether and Paimon, and an excited gasp from the old man.

"That's right! Accept the divine punishment from an adeptus himself!" The old man cheered gleefully. "You show him! That is no way to respect the adepti!"

"X-Xiao!? You can't be serious!" Paimon stammered, hesitating with pulling Aether back.

"I will not repeat myself," Xiao says slowly, eyelids lowering threateningly.

"I... had better go, Paimon," Aether murmured. He offered a sheepish grin. "Ahaha, knowing Xiao... I wouldn't want to make him even more upset."

"B-But—! Aether!" Paimon whined as the blond moved from her side and began to walk forward. Xiao turns around and begins to lead the way toward a nearby shed.

"Ohh, that reckless boy will get the scolding of his life. I can't wait~" the old man chuckled. Paimon growls at the man, but she was far more concerned for her companion's safety. Especially when the door had shut behind the two, sealing them away from the rowdiness outside.

"Xiao..." Aether starts with a nervous grin, the moment the yaksha shut and locked the door. "There's no way you actually believe them... right?"

Xiao's silent glare only made him more on edge.

"I-It's not as if I won't pay to have it fixed! Really! But for them to assume I meant harm when all I wanted was to—!"

Gloved hands snatched viciously at his scarf and pull him forward. Aether's eyes flashed wide, before squeezing shut. Oh god. This is the end of his once never-ending lifespan—

Lips press against his own.

... Huh?

Aether re-opens his eyes to make sure his mind wasn't playing tricks. But...

It was real.

Xiao, the uptight and moody yaksha, is kissing him.

Huh!?

"M-Mm!?" Aether's face reddened immediately. It's not as if he's not into it. In fact it's been quite a dream of his for some time now. But not in a situation like this-

"X-Xiao..." the blond gasped when Xiao pulls away. "Wh... What—"

"What you did was unacceptable!"

Aether nearly jumps to the roof from the sudden louder voice that came out of the seemingly bipolar yaksha.

"H-Huh!?"

"Is that all you have to say for yourself?" Xiao continued in the scolding tone, although his hands had slid from the traveler's scarf to his biceps. "Do you know who you are speaking to?"

"Who I'm speaking to— Xiao, this is—!"

"Do I have to spell it out for you?" Xiao's tone quickly transitioned back to its usual dullness. It caused a shiver down Aether's spine. "I personally could care less about that statue of me, however, those fools aren't going to be satisfied no matter what you say. It is situations like these where it is best to play along and pray you don't ever have to make a fool out of yourself ever again."

"That's elaborate..." Aether sweats, although he had exhaled in heavy relief. "Thank goodness... I really thought for a second that you were mad about it, and were gonna punish me or something insane..."

"Is that what you think?" Xiao's chin raised as he gazed in a speculating manner toward the now bewildered Aether.

"W-Well... I hope so!?" Aether murmured. "I thought you could care less-"

"You all made me waste my time, regardless," Xiao scoffed. "I was in the middle of something important, too. You know I don't like to be distracted from my work, traveler."

"I know, I know!" Aether raised his hands in submission from the icy threat. "I swear, if I could make it up to you in any way—!"

"Do not fret, that has already been arranged," Xiao states while leaning back against the paneled wall of the shed. Aether flinched from being pulled along. His heart pounded vivaciously once Xiao's gaze was no longer readable.

"You are simply going to pick up where I left off."

"It got quiet..."

The villagers had murmured amongst themselves. They were anxious for the adeptus to continue his harsh scolding, seeing as the traveler's voice had been cut short.

"I bet he cut his tongue off!" One of the villagers said.

"No way! He totally knocked him out, right on the spot!" Another one gossiped.

Paimon swallowed. While those seemed too far-sketched... it only made her want to fly in and check on the two. But just imagining how Xiao would react was scary enough to keep her in place.

"Ohh, Aether... he better be alright—"

"I-I'm sorry! I won't do it again!" a loud voice suddenly came from the shed.

Paimon blinks. The villagers blinked.

Is that...?

"I-I'm so sorry! Mister Adeptus!" Aether stammered after bellowing another apology.

"I don't believe you mean it," Xiao growled over the traveler.

Aether had to take a moment before he could respond. Mainly because it was hard to catch his breath and keep up the act at the same time.

"Harder, dammit," was the low command Aether had no choice but to follow. His hands pushed Xiao's legs back further to slam into him. The yaksha's pants had only been pulled down enough for Aether to have access to his already-wet, puckering hole. As well as his shirt being pulled up for rosy, hard nipples to be exposed. It didn't take long for Aether to catch on, or jump right in with 'continuing' what Xiao had been so frivolously up to earlier.

Boots cross by the ankles around his waist to press him in, leaving Aether with barely any room to move back.

"H-Hah! Xiao-!" Aether couldn't help his quiet moans, stifling them to the best of his abilities as he continued to pound into the tight warmth. His stomach was still squeezing at the fact that he was fucking Xiao right against the wall. In the middle of a village conflict.

"Say something," Xiao reminds roughly, pulling back on the scarf for the choke to bring Aether out his daze. "Hurry up!"

"P-Please! Believe me!" Aether chokes out his act, slamming harder into Xiao from the initial loss of breath. Xiao jerks against the wall, but his heels digging into Aether's back indirectly portray his pleasure.

"To whom are you addressing?" Aether had to give credit to Xiao for being able keep his cool despite getting railed against the wall. The blond winces to the heels and moves to grip the wall.

"B-Believe me, Mister Adeptus!" he cried out, before his voice lowered in a shaky manner. "Xiao, gods... you're pushing... ngh... too much—"

"Well maybe if you learned how to properly satisfy, I wouldn't be," Xiao grunts, now clawing at Aether's back. Aether huffs at the insult, slowing down his thrusts momentarily.

They briefly glare at each other.

"It got quiet again!"

"Ehh? So he's only scolding him? He sounded like he was in pain..."

"Really? Wouldn't we also hear him getting hit—?"

Miraculously, a sudden heavy thud emitted from the shed. Paimon gasps in horror at how loud and continuous it was, definitely convinced that Xiao must be beating the absolute life out of Aether.

The villagers cheered, nonetheless. Their adeptus is most certainly teaching that scummy traveler a lesson!

"Keep going! Ah-! Keep—! Hah! Aether!" Xiao repeatedly gasped as Aether continued to piston into him. His hips were stinging from constantly getting pushed back against the wall, but the heavy thrusts completely made up for it.

"Ohh! Xiao! I-I'm..! Uahh!" Aether clinging to the yaksha in absolute ecstasy from pounding messily into him. His pre-cum had made the thrusts more slippery, and he was positive his tip had met Xiao's prostate a few times, judging by how much the adeptus twisted every now and then.

"Right there! Ahh, right there!" The demands continued, and the pit of Aether's stomach heats up even more at the lewd sounds. He fulfills Xiao's desire, grinding his hips up into that perfect spot. Xiao was now moving back against him desperately. "Ah! Come on! Do it like you mean it!" he growled, tugging at Aether's hair.

"I'm- hng! Doing it as hard- hah- as I can!" Aether retorts in a hissy tone as his hair was tugged once more.

"I didn't ask for your input! Now come on!" Xiao hissed his order, tugging once more.

Aether groaned, throwing his head over Xiao's shoulder and picking up his brutal pace. He gasped and moaned wetly into Xiao's neck, already feeling the rising pool of heat. He's not going to last much longer... especially with Xiao moving against him in blinded pleasure.

He had nearly forgotten their cover-up until Xiao spoke up once more in that trained tone of his. Granted it was a lot more breathy, what with Aether basically scrambling his insides.

"I better not hear about this again! Do you understand... Traveler?" Xiao had to inhale briefly within his threat, before completely raveling himself against Aether. The blond is left to finish off their faux encounter. He takes in a breath.

"Y-Yes! Yes Mister Adeptus! Never again! I understand!" Aether only had that much energy to spare before utterly ravishing Xiao against the wall.

"I-Inside! Don't— pull out!" Xiao advises, arching against Aether as his end neared. An impatient nod is felt against his neck, and Aether's quick pace gradually slows down to heavy, sticky slams.

"I-I'm going to—! Ohh, Xiao!"

Xiao's eyes nearly roll to the ceiling as his prostate was practically abused. He gasps and latches tightly onto Aether, grinding against the rolling hips that were lost in ecstasy. A heated substance rushes inside and warmly coats his twitching walls, and it soon ignites the yaksha into a mind-numbing orgasm.

Aether is nearly putty as he continued to grind into the trembling man. He feels a sticky substance on his stomach and couldn't help the additional spurt of cum inside Xiao. He shivers, moaning and huffing along with the twitching adeptus.

And they slowly slid to the ground.

"Hahh..." Aether couldn't bring himself to move off Xiao. He has officially exerted himself far past his limit for today.

"Learned your lesson...?" He hears the sarcastic question from the exhausted yaksha.

"Very," is Aether's reply.

"I apologize again for causing the disturbance! It won't happen again, you have my word!" Aether bows to the old man with the bag of mora in hand.

"There, there! That's more like it!" The old man twirled his beard with a gleeful smile. "An adeptus' scolding taught you how to be respectful now, didn't it!"

"Y-Yes..."

Aether straightens back up, looking back to Xiao, who was standing idly with his arms crossed. Appearing perfectly normal.

"Waaah! Aether! Are you okay!? Paimon was scared! You look disheveled!" Paimon wailed as she flew around Aether. The blond rubs the back of his head sheepishly.

"O-Oh... ahaha... Xiao is definitely strict, I'll give you that," he excuses.

"That vigilant yaksha is way too cold. Even to his own friends," She complained, sticking her tongue out to Xiao. Her response from the man is a mere turn of his head.

"It's okay. Um... though, I'll have to accompany him for his own commissions every now and then, as further punishment," Aether informed. He idly looks over to the side. "To.. provide assistance when needed."

"You already take enough commissions as it is!" Paimon complained, pouting to the simple pat Aether gave to her head. As he did so, he looks back to Xiao.

Their eyes meet.

"Don't worry," he continues as Xiao turned around and disappeared into the forest.

"His commissions, in particular... Something tells me they are going to be worth taking."
