Work Text:

ring...ring…

“Whose phone is that?” Ms. Leya asks with her face scrunched up with annoyance.

The class quickly checked their phones and looked around, trying to see who may be the culprit. Their eyes led them to Peter Parker, who was looking out the window and oblivious to the situation around him.

Ned nudged him, effectively snapping the boy out of his trance.

“What?” Peter whispered to his friend, a quick glance around made him realize that all attention was on him. He also realized that his phone was emitting the song that he assigned for a certain confidential contact.

“Is that your phone ringing, Mr. Parker?” the teacher inquired, raising her eyebrow as she pointedly looked at the gadget laying near the student’s open book.

His eyes widened as he hastily grabbed the offending device to shove it into his bag. Before he could do that however, the adult had already walked over to his table and demanded that he answer it.

“You know the rules, Parker. Your phone rings, you answer in speaker for everyone to hear.”

Peter sighed and turned the phone over. The call had ended but soon another replaced it.

He’d hoped that his memory of whose ringtone that was was wrong. But damn his Parker luck, it was exactly who he thought it was.

The caller ID read, in all caps, AGENT FURY with a picture of the pirate-looking man taking a sip of tea.

He looked up to his teacher who was staring at him expectedly. God damn…there’s no way out of this one, Peter decided.

His fingers swiped against the screen and clicked the speaker icon, only slightly shaking. Peter had expected that his secret would come out one way or another but he didn’t expect it to be today. It was a particularly peaceful and uneventful Friday afternoon. The boy had planned to relax that day seeing as he didn’t have any work to do but, duh, when did things ever go his way.

“Agent Parker, what took you so long to answer?” the low voice of his boss snapped him out of his dread-filled thoughts.

The class, including Ms. Leya exchanged confused glances with each other.

“Sir, I don’t know if you are aware but I am also a student.” The boy hurriedly informed him, whisper-yelling. “And you’re on speaker mode.”

Peter mentally groaned knowing that his identity was about to be revealed.

There was a moment of silence from the other side of the line. The agent just sat there awkwardly, seeing from the side of his eyes that his class has apparently lost all ability to function.

“Well there’s nothing we can do about it, now. We’ll just get them NDAs.” Fury sighed. “There’s been a security breach in a SHIELD office in New York. You and 5 others will go there to investigate.”

“Understood, sir. Mode of transportation and ETA?”

At this point, Peter just accepted his fate and got into work mode. He wasn’t the resident nerd, scrawny, loser Parker anymore...now he was the prodigy, ever-so reliable, agent Parker.

“Quinjet. 5 minutes.”

His classmates gaped as he stood up and took off his hoodie, revealing a shirt that has the SHIELD logo on it. His aura immediately changed as he stood taller and more confident.

HIs face went from adorably innocent to serial killer serious.

They all stared at him as his short-sleeved shirt revealed how buff the nerd actually was. How the heck did he hide all this?

People in his class could not deny that this change in demeanor made him smoking hot. Of course, he was cute and all that with his nerdy charm before but this...this was beyond explanation. If Peter was a golden retriever before, he was now a doberman.

The room was filled with gasps and whispers. His teacher kept asking him what he was doing and demanding an explanation. Everyone wanted to tell the teacher to just shut the fuck up so that they could ogle in peace— albeit they were still shocked but they just wanted to intake as much of this new Peter...AGENT PARKER in.

Peter had resorted to ignoring them and putting on his basic gear that he kept with him at all times. In 4 minutes, he was fully suited up and all his weapons were placed where they were supposed to. Everyone could hear the whirring sound of the jet approaching. The students all raced to the windows in an attempt to have even a glimpse of what was outside. However, Peter walked through which made them part like the red sea. They all stood there as he opened the classroom window and stretched his right leg onto the sill.

Just as he was about to jump out the window, he turned to them with the most intimidating face he could muster and said,

“Do not mention this to anyone. Someone will come to explain and you all will sign the NDAs. One leak of information and your life is over. No college, no future work opportunities.”

A collective gulp and desperate nods were given. No one would ever admit that the boy scared them but everyone felt the same.

Satisfied, he smirked at them and jumped off onto the open ramp of the vehicle. This gathered small shrieks from the people in the room as they had a mini heart attack as they leaned on the window.

“Bye Ms. Leya!” he greeted as the door was closing, leaving the woman with a face of disbelief.

Flash was the first to break the silence.

“What the fuck was that…?” His voice higher than normal.

With that, the class erupted into questions. They could not believe what just happened.

Ned sat there staring into space, shocked. Even the teacher just stood there trying to process what she saw.

10 minutes later and, as promised, an agent arrived. She explained shortly what Peter did, careful not to overdo it as his work is mostly classified. She did not take any questions at all and immediately made the class sign all the paperwork needed. She informed them of the repercussions should they go against the NDAs which succeeded in scaring the people more.

Meanwhile, Peter was accepting his fate in the jet while his colleagues laughed at him.

“Shut the fuck up, guys.”

END.
