Post canon fic about Robert managing to convince everyone on the Z-Team he’s a Beta until they catch him red handed.
“This is fucking stupid.” He says, aggravated.
“No it fucking ain’t you suicidal prick.” Chase snaps back at him. The older man is definitely angrier than he’d been a few hours ago, far more irritated compared to when he’d first shown up at Roberts crumbling apartment unannounced.
“Yes it fucking is!” He snaps right back. “I don’t need to be doing this.”
“Robert please, it’s not going to fucking kill you.” Chase amps up again, they’d been going back and forth for the last 2 and a half hours. Doing the same spiel for every piece of cloth Robert picked from the big, corporate bag of nesting shit sent to him by SDN.

It’s his biggest tool to success as a hockey player. He wouldn’t be where he is without the trust and care he puts into this own body. So he takes care of it as much as he can. He exercises regularly to keep himself fit and strong, fuels it with the best food and nutrients he can, does his best to listen to the cues his body gives him to rest. It’s a careful balancing act as a professional athlete, stretching his body to its limits while also caring for it deeply.
Still, he can’t deny that he feels let down by it often.
Some days it feels very unfair.
And then some days something even worse happens and that already strained relationship he has with his own body gets even worse.

“Oh, yes,” the boy continued smugly. “Please allow me to take the opportunity on behalf of all of Frostheim.”
He got to his feet and walked up to a frozen Yuri.
“Truly, thank you for leaving Kamurai’s side before you disgraced our entire house!”
It was a black belt demonstration of sarcasm veiled in a polite social convention. Yuri sputtered, but couldn’t find his voice.
But the honor student had found hers.
A different take on what could have happened in Chapter 21 of "The Infectious Death Wish," if the main character had a chance to stand up for her and her friends.
