Summary
It was he and Robby’s third anniversary, and nothing could be better. Two years ago, Robby asked him to move in. Last year, Robby got their two kittens. Ada, after Adamson, and Mary, after Dennis’ mother.
It was the best day of the year, every year. He didn’t care about his birthday, even if it was only a week before. He didn’t care about anything but he and Robby’s special day. Dennis would never admit he was also very particularly excited for the gift.
Could he be blamed? Robby always knew exactly what Dennis wanted. They knew each other like no one else did. He was so inevitably in love with Michael, that sometimes he think he’d die for him.
He’s certain.

Summary
Day 298.
Dennis sat at the same desk, dim lamp behind him. “If something happens,” he said quietly, “I hope the right person sees this.”
Robby’s breath caught. Dennis looked directly into the camera.
Determined in a way that’s begun to feel familiar.
“I wrote his name down today,” Dennis continued. “He doesn’t know me. But he knows patterns. He’ll understand the structure. He’ll see it.”
Robby’s pulse pounded in his ears. The right person.
His name. Robby’s name.
Dennis smiled faintly.
“He seemed tired at the diner,” Dennis added softly. “Like someone who stopped believing in institutions but still wants to. I hope I’m right about him.”

Dennis Whitaker is a 27 year old who just wanted to spend the night with his best friend Trinity, who was getting married the next evening.
He didn’t expect to get stuffed into a suitcase.
Michael Robinavitch didn’t expect to be accused of treason, or fall in love with the boy who practically accused him of it.

Summary
Dennis doesn’t answer right away. He lets the silence stretch, just enough to feel natural, then shrugs. “I don’t usually keep inventory. I show up, I do my job, I go home.” A beat. “I sleep.”
Robby glances at him, something unreadable flickering across his face, then looks back out at the bay. “Fair,” he says. “Still. Admin’s spooked. Someone’s been skimming small amounts for months. Careful enough that it took a while to show.”
Dennis feels the familiar itch between his shoulders, the instinct to vanish, to pack up this name and this face and leave before curiosity sharpens into certainty. He stays. He always stays too long. “You think it’s staff?” he asks, voice steady.
“I think,” Robby says slowly, “that whoever it is knows exactly how much they can take without killing anyone.” He turns then, really looks at Dennis. “Which means it’s probably someone who cares.”

Summary
Dennis Whitaker doesn’t like Hastings. She’s bratty, loves herself too much, can’t keep quiet, and worst of all, has an eye for his Attending.
What Dennis doesn’t expect, is to start coughing up huckleberries. Irony.
OR
“Hope you know what you’re doing.” Dana says, eyes trailing her as she pauses in her steps.
Hastings brows furrow closer before realization flickers on her expression. She obviously schools it into something calm. “I’m a big girl.” She dismisses.
“It’s Robby.” Dennis says, unable to hide the bit of resentment in his voice. “Everyone thinks they’re a big girl until he—“ Dennis realizes how bad this sounds, looking back at his computer and going back to charting. “Sorry.”
Hastings blinks, “I’m sorry, you weren’t included in this conversation.”
He just looks at her, then gestures to the hospital. “Next time you want to talk about going home with my Attending, try to keep it down. Or do it somewhere else.” Dennis says, snarky if he must admit, leaving to go find his wandering med students.

Summary
“My light,” He murmured. Odysseus cupped Polites’ cheek, catching him off guard.
His boy, his light, his Polites.
“Hm?” He hummed back, leaning into Odysseus’ touch so elegantly and lovingly it made Odysseus want to kiss him silly.
“I would do anything for you.” Odysseus muttered, barely above a whisper. His thumb gently caressed Polites’ cheek. “I mean it!” He immediately blushed when he saw Polites raise a skeptical brow. “I would fight anything! Any monster. Cyclops, hydra, Chimera, Scylla, you name it!”

Summary
"Look, you don’t have to do the whole 'carrying me heroically into the sunset' thing again," Roach tried.
"Shut up and hold on," Ghost muttered. He slid one arm under Roach’s knees, the other behind his back, and lifted him clean off the ground.
"Simon, I swear-"
Ghost was already moving. "We can argue about this when we’re not getting shot at."
