“You aren’t overheating in that?” She shook her head. “I promise I’m not attempting to seduce you in a grubby muggle pub.”
“You know I only allow myself to be seduced in libraries,” she said. He did know. He knew it very well. In fact, their first kiss -- if one could refer to such a monstrously hungry convergence in as simple a term as "kiss"-- had been in the Restricted Section of Hogwarts Library when they'd been back for an alumni event two summers ago.
“Mmm, yes, only in libraries, and our office, and my townhouse, and that one alleyway in–” she covered his mouth to stop him.
“Are you calling me easy?”“Never. I worked damned hard to become someone even moderately worthy of your attention.”
Hermione rolled toward him until he was forced to lay on his back. She curled into him, her face buried against his chest.
“Dolohov cursed me in fifth year.” Draco knew this. He traced his finger over her coat in the approximate location he would find her scars. “I told you there wasn’t any lasting damage.” He stilled his hand. She continued, “I lied.”
Snowed in after a mission goes sideways, the stress and proximity lead to mutual confessions.

Author’s note 11/7/2021: This work is complete!
Hermione thought her biggest issues this year would be being stuck in a dead-end job and not quite getting along with her new officemate, Draco Malfoy. However, the Ministry is about turn her tidy and contained life upside down with the announcement of the new Marriage and Family Law, and there's more trouble brewing as outbursts of uncontrolled magic begin to wreck havoc in the office.
Draco has been reassigned to Corporate Services after an Auror mission went spectacularly sideways; at least, that's what he's telling everyone. The truth is hardly as straightforward and Granger has him increasingly on edge, so naturally, he was only too pleased to learn of the new Law that was going to out him as a Creature to the woman he loves.

Summary
“Granger,” he cleared his throat. There was something unreadable about his eyes as he thinned his lips and took a deep breath. “What do you think of me?”
A flush of red crept to her face at the sudden question as she tried to choose her words, but before she could even think of what to say, her tongue was already moving out of her own volition.
“I think that you’re an incredible Professor,” she started, with a small voice that slowly got higher and higher as her resolve to stop herself from talking grew weaker. “Out of everyone here, you are the most intelligent, thoughtful and capable man I know. You have an incredible amount of patience when dealing with the students, it’s quite nice to see how much they trust you.”
She stopped to breathe a second in a poor attempt to recollect her thoughts. Her brain, muddled as it was, could already understand that something wrong had happened. But the horror morphed into her face as her restless tongue moved again.
“And you’re incredibly fit.”
