an adieu of a thousand words unspoken, asunder and wary, looms over them as the moon and the sun stare helplessly at the scars left behind by lances of molten-gold streaks(the fault of the sun’s) and the haunted moonbeams(blame the moon!) pressed against starboy’s cheeks, signifying starboy’s impending doom.
where jake is starboy, sunghoon is the moon and sunoo is the sun.
( or: in which jake dreams of and longs for unattainable things. he thinks that in the grand scheme of things, holding back is worth it for the greater good )

sunoo watches as sunghoon stands at the wedding altar, holding a bouquet of flowers and grinning like a lovesick fool as he waits for the other party to reach him.
unfortunately, that someone isn’t him, and it’s too late when he realises that he has never truly gotten over him.
in other words, sunoo doesn’t know what or how to feel and attempts to navigate through the complexities of his emotions when jake and sunghoon exchange their wedding vows.
( but he gains something at the end of it, where he learns the importance of accepting reality, and maybe also himself )

“Attraction,” Minho’s voice sounded odd, almost reluctant. “Intimacy. You really find him…satisfactory?”
What did Minho know about him, or love, for that matter, anyway? And what right did he have to ask if Seungmin was satisfactory? It wouldn’t be his marriage. It was already hardly his family.
