Summary
Soon after the recent remission of Scully's cancer, which still weighs heavily on her mind, Mulder and Scully find themselves investigating the perplexing case of Meredith O'Connor, a woman who has endured two abductions. The first abduction, which took place just a year before Scully's own experience, resulted in Meredith becoming infertile. The second abduction left her missing for an entire year. Upon her return, it was discovered that during the time of her disappearance, she had carried a pregnancy to term and even gave birth via cesarean section. Scully becomes deeply intrigued by the case. She can't help but notice the striking parallels between Meredith's first abduction and her own, leading her to fear that she may still be a target.
