Summary
Zoro looks at him with dawning understanding. He grins at Sanji. “Wanna boss me around like Law does?”
Sanji gulps. “Yeah,” he says, his heartbeat quickening when Zoro looks pleased.
“Wanna see me cry?”
“Shit,” Sanji hisses out. “That happens?”
It’s Law who answers, tilting Zoro’s face up, pulling him into a sitting position. “Only when he’s being really good.”
Zoro’s mouth curves into a smile, looking at Law. “Aren’t I always really good?”
The corners of Law’s lips faintly pull up and instead of speaking, his mouth closes over Zoro’s in a slow, sensual kiss.

Summary
He wakes with a headache in a bed that's not his own, in a room full of sunlight.
He wakes to pounding on a bedroom door, hard enough to rattle the walls.
(Sanji, then and now, and then, and now.)

Summary
Roger is dead, and Shanks has taken away the one dream that Buggy has been counting on. He has pulled the rug from underneath his feet, and while they have been born with sealegs, the unmoving earth of this island makes Buggy’s arms tremble and his legs stumble.
Shanks will be the Pirate King. Shanks will be the Pirate King. He has to. He will–
Because if it can’t be Buggy, it has to be Shanks.
OR
Buggy and Shanks have been together from the start, and 1082 isn't the end of them.

Summary
If Angel calls for him, he'll step in.
He will. He's not fucking heartless. Velvette called him a doormat earlier and she's fucking wrong, he just knows when to pick his battles, and this is a real boundary he will enforce. Vox isn't allowed to break Val's things.
Angel just has to call for him.
A shrill scream cracks in the air and Valentino flinches, half jolting towards the motel door, before realizing that it was just the storm. Fucking scream rain. He worries the tip of his thumb at the junction between his phone and the case, fiddling with the blunt plastic, resisting the childish urge to chew on his nails.
It's fine. He's being stupid.
Or: Vox leaves Valentino to pick up the pieces of his latest brainwashing session. Valentino takes Angel home.

Summary
“This is going to end in bloodshed, isn’t it, Angel?”
“We weren’t meant to last,” Angel said after a long silence, voice small but firm, “We never were.”
After the Vees' alliance crumbles, the Tower is stripped of Vox's static. In the silence, Valentino reverts to what he knows best: the studio, the stretch, and the suffocating intimacy of the past—the terrifying tenderness of a director obsessed with his final muse.
Angel finds that muscle memory is the hardest habit to break, and that stepping back into the center of Valentino’s frame feels dangerously like coming home.
