Bucky has spent fifteen good, HYDRA-free years getting back to living under the Hawaiian sun. He’s happy, he’s warm, and best of all he can do something good by helping the people in the camp where he lives. Being on the run comes at the cost of having friends but he doesn’t need those anyway. At least he doesn’t until some local cop makes gaining his trust her top priority.

Look. I actually can’t stand Snape. But this version of his development - this version of the story, with this Harry and this Dumbledore - is so beyond brilliant. I wish I had this on hardback so I could set it down and stare into the middle distance contemplatively. This was so. good.
