A phrase that's been branded into Jeongguk's mind since his first breath, along with the rest of society. The beasts roaming around the outskirts of the city are nothing but vile creatures with zero control over their bloodthirsty nature, constantly threatening the humans' comfortable way of life. Although not quite understanding why the eradication of wolves needs to happen, Jeongguk had to learn quickly to never question his city's beliefs or he'd risk punishment. Forced to become a hunter and carry out his duty of executing the monstrocities that howl under the moon, he pushes away the doubts and acts under the veil that this is what's best for humanity.
Until one day he stumbles across a young boy with eyes that have seen too much, a sleeping infant, and a malnourished man who hides both kids behind him with a toothy snarl slashed across his sunken face and deadly steel blue eyes.
Eyes that puncture the covering placed over Jeongguk, ripping it to shreds.

Woah…reading this in the big year of 2026, did a lot to me. I was a silent reader up until the end because I wanted to spew all my words and emotions about this story at the end…
This was a roller coaster, a massive ride. I can’t fully describe what this story did to me but my heart is full. The attention to detail, the writing, the angst, the passion, the love; it was all consuming that I couldn’t stop reading, finished this story in a matter of 3 days and sacrificed sleep even. This story was/is incredibly powerful, I never wanted it to end; I felt as if I was truly there, it was a great time to escape reality and dive into a world that felt real while reading. Your writing is incredibly beautiful. From the very start to the very end, nothing was rushed, nothing was as if it had to be hurried. The delicate time that you’ve put into these characters, the story line and all else is beyond beautiful. The way it progressed made me feel what these characters felt, I went through all the stages of grief and happiness; I cried, smiled, squealed..hell, almost broke my phone screen :’). It truly was a wild ride that I’m going to take every other month when I read this story over and over again because it’s my personality now. If I can up your kudos, I’ll never stop pushing the button. Thank you for this beautiful story and all that I’ve yet to read. 💜 (ps: I’m rereading right now! )

Okay…. I read this story back in 2022, when I started my journey on A03 and I remember loving it so much but I wasn’t bookmarking or commenting, so I left it as is and I regretted it because it was such a beautiful story; until a few days ago, this year that I stumbled upon it and read the description and it was like nostalgia hit, the synopsis brought a lot of memories back “ Jimin p-please talk to me I cannot…I cannot see” I swear I almost cried, because it’s always been that line that pulled me in to know what this story that I remembered had been about. I’ve been an active jikook reader for some time now and throughout that time, and I just didn’t know how to find it until I searched incredibly hard one day and I’m stupid happy that I did. I found it and bookmarked IMMEDIATELY, I can’t wait to jump into the world I recall loving. 💜

A masterpiece, a beautiful read! I felt drawn instantly; the way this story made me feel is unworldly. I felt the characters struggles and passion, the love Jikook has throughout is beautiful and watching it blossom was truly a spectacular thing. This story deserves all the kudos! 💜💜

“Try to breathe into this,” he murmurs.
Jimin is overwhelmed. It hurts, but he concentrates on breathing deeply, feeling the pressure of Jungkook’s fingers sink deeper.
He gasps when he’s finally released. “Sorry,” Jungkook soothes his hands along his collarbones again, then sliding to cup his neck and pushing out the tension like magic, “That was intense, I know.”
Jimin hums. He can’t open his eyes anymore, “Feels good,” he sighs. He can tell he’s smiling a little as Jungkook resumes his gentle rhythm.
“Good?” Jungkook seems encouraged by Jimin’s admission, fingers sliding and pressing diligently in intricate patterns.

Or, Jimin is a dance teacher with a shoulder injury. Jungkook is a massage therapist that is all together too attractive and sweet. With each visit, Jimin falls a little deeper.

Ok……… this story put me in turmoil with myself! Holy shit is this story fucking good! (Pardon my language) but ARE WE JOKING?! ONE OF MY FAVORITES! This read is a damn roller coaster that I didn’t want to get off and keep going! I loved every single minute of this story!! EVERY SINGLE ONE! I’ve read this twice in the span of two weeks and it still feels like the first! Juggling the first set of emotions when I first read it, still hits massively hard. The characters and the story building was crazy insane, this was my type of story; this was a breath of fresh air and somehow I wish it was still choking me (the story I mean lol) so I can let out a whole breath once more. I’m crazy obsessed!! 💜😩
