Summary
After Ophelia was found drowned in her family's swimming pool, her surviving relatives declare it is to be filled in with concrete. Horatio, watching the deterioration and eventual destruction of the place where his dear friend drowned, feels like he's attending yet another funeral.
(Author's note: So in Echoes, another Hamlet Modern AU fic I wrote, I briefly mentioned that Ophelia's house had a swimming pool. I thought about how tragic it would be if she drowned in that swimming pool, and then this happened. For the record, I see this story as vaguely connected to my previous fic, but not super strongly connected. Sort of like an AU of an AU, I guess? Basically you can see them as connected if you want, but you don't have to, and both works can be read as standalones, even though I'm marking them as a series.)
