Summary
Rakan felt that rut and consequently heat was a collective experience for Primordians of all shapes and sizes; a natural stimulant to ensure the Primordian race continues, which was what Aatrox wanted. It didn't really matter to him what Aatrox wanted, but he was caught up in that cycle all the same, dominated by the primal urge to breed. He just wished it would resolve itself quicker and be rid of him, because it almost completely absolved him of being a "superior, intellectual" Primordian.
It was debilitating how much it affected his biological processes. Raised body temperature, lack of attention, lust, and a restlessness about him that made him want to claw fissures into the seabeds. Before, when he was alone, there was no object of desire to rest his thoughts on, and rut was more of an annoyance than a full shutdown of his being. But now...
Rakan had been battling his instincts for only a day before they threatened to engulf him. He didn't want to find out what it meant to be in rut and monstrous.
There was no other solution but to give in to his needs on his own terms, seeking Xayah's relief.
