Mouthfuls of Summer

Summary:

The summer heat is relentless, and so is Jayce's craving for closeness, for Viktor, for something he can't quite name but always tastes on the tip of his tongue. In the middle of a lazy afternoon, he learns that desire can be soft, too, and that sometimes, love begins with a mouth left wanting.

Work Text:

There was something strangely soothing about the lazy embrace of summer's warmth.

Jayce had always preferred the warmer seasons, though he knew the summer heat could be stifling at times. But when he could spend it at home, with his boyfriend lounging beside him on the couch, it was more than bearable. It was, indeed, downright comforting.

The soft silences they shared were anything but empty. They both enjoyed these afternoons, each immersed in their own tasks, yet together, existing in the same space without the need for constant conversation. Parallel play, Viktor had called it. Jayce never saw the need for a label, he just knew that having Viktor close made him feel a warmth deeper than the summer air itself.

In the kitchen, Jayce hummed softly under his breath, an aimless melody that had been stuck in his head all day. He reached into the fridge, pulling out the pitcher of lemonade he’d made earlier, beads of condensation rolling down the glass. The ice rattled pleasantly as he poured two tall glasses, his hands moving on autopilot. He added an extra spoonful of sugar into Viktor’s drink, stirring it thoughtfully. Jayce relished in the way his partner’s brow softened just a little with that first sip of a nice sugary drink, the flicker of indulgence behind those bright golden eyes.

The gold chain around his neck had somehow found its way between his lips again, absent and familiar. Jayce nibbled on the lil cross pendant attached to it absentmindedly as he stirred the drinks, the cool metal clicking softly against his teeth. It was just one of those habits, something to keep his mouth busy while his thoughts wandered.

He’d worn that chain for as long as he could remember. It was one of those family heirlooms, passed down through generations, imbued with a quiet kind of weight. His mother had given it to him when he was barely a teenager, that horrible, terrifying period where he found himself caught between the faith he’d been raised in and the truth of who he was.

It had been a rough time for him. He hadn’t known what to expect back then, fearing rejection, anger, disappointment. He’d felt so broken, convinced he was defying God’s will. Because he had been taught God didn’t make mistakes, after all… so he must’ve been the mistake.

But his mother —bless her soul— had welcomed him with open arms. When he had finally confessed to her that her daughter was, in fact, her son, she had simply cupped his face in her hands and pulled him close, whispering, “All of us are children of the Lord, mi cielo. And the Lord doesn’t make mistakes. So, if you feel this way, it must be for a reason.”

And of course, Jayce’s faith had softened, diluted over the years until it was more like a quiet echo than a guiding light. He didn’t go to church anymore, didn’t pray much except in fleeting moments when hope felt like the only thing to cling to. But he wore the chain every day. Not out of devotion, exactly. But as a reminder, of his mom, of that moment, of the unconditional love that had held him up when he’d felt like he might fall apart. A symbol, quiet and stubborn, resting against his skin like an old promise.

He let his tongue play around with the little golden cross as he finished stirring the drinks. Then he turned back toward the living room, padding barefoot across the floor with both glasses in hand.

Viktor hadn’t moved from the couch, one arm draped lazily along the backrest as his eyes followed the lines of the book resting open in his lap, his lips pursed in quiet concentration as he read. He was positioned right in front of the old standing fan, letting the breeze wash over him in uneven bursts, fluttering the pages every so often. A simple headband kept his hair pulled back from his face, though a few stubborn strands had slipped free, sticking up in wild angles from the humidity and wind, giving him a look that was somewhere between endearingly chaotic and impossibly cute.

He wore nothing but an old t-shirt —one of Jayce’s, judging by how loose it hung on his narrow frame, slipping off one shoulder— and a pair of soft, faded boxers. His bare legs were sprawled carelessly across the couch cushions, toes curling absently with every turn of the page. There was no back nor leg brace today, just pale skin marked faintly by the straps that usually held it in place. His cane rested against the armrest, forgotten for now, within easy reach but unneeded in that quiet moment.

Jayce paused in the doorway for a moment, just watching him. He looked unfairly perfect, in that soft, intimate kind of way that made Jayce’s chest ache a little. He bit down gently on the chain between his teeth, smiling around it, warmth curling in his gut. This was the kind of sight that made him feel stupidly lucky, like he’d stumbled into something he didn’t quite deserve but would never, ever take for granted.

Yeah. Definitely better than any summer breeze.

Jayce walked over to the coffee table, setting Viktor’s drink down carefully within his reach. The clink of the ice cubes against the glass was the only sound breaking the quiet, save for the gentle hum of the fan.

His teeth only let go of the necklace when he opened his mouth to speak. “Here.” He said. “Brought you something cold so you don’t melt.”

Viktor groaned dramatically, taking the glass and pressing it against his cheek with a sigh of relief. “Oh, thank God. I feel like I’m about to die of heatstroke.”

Jayce furrowed his brow, giving him a soft slap on his arm. “Don’t joke about that.”

“Sorry, sorry…” Viktor gave a quiet huff of laughter, setting his book aside as he shifted his legs aside to make room for Jayce on the couch.

Jayce sighed and smiled, a warm, crooked thing, as he settled down beside him, sinking into the worn cushions with a contented sigh. Without missing a beat, Viktor swung his legs back up, draping them across his boyfriend’s lap as if they belonged there, like this was simply where they were meant to be. Jayce chuckled under his breath at the familiar weight, sliding one hand gently along Viktor’s shin in a slow, affectionate stroke, fingers tracing absent patterns over his skin.

“Thanks.” Viktor murmured before taking a sip, his eyes fluttering briefly at the taste, and Jayce caught the exact moment the hint of extra sugar registered. Viktor’s lips quirked, and when he opened his eyes again, there was a familiar glint there—fond, knowing.

After a beat Jayce reached for his notebook resting on the armrest, flipping it open again to the mess of scribbled formulas and diagrams he’d been revising earlier. He picked up the pen nestled in between the pages and tapped three times absentmindedly against his notes before his gaze flickered toward Viktor again, his smile lingering. “Comfortable?”

Viktor made a small, satisfied noise, his head tipping back against the cushions, lashes fluttering shut for a moment. “Always.” He murmured.

And Jayce believed him. There was a quiet trust stitched into these small rituals. Viktor’s legs sprawled over him, the hum of the fan, the soft clatter of ice in their drinks, the sound of his pen against paper... It wasn’t grand, but it was theirs.

He leaned forward, chewing thoughtfully on the edge of his pen, eyes scanning the messy, half-legible notes, his thumb still brushing lightly along Viktor’s shin as he worked. “Hey, what do you want for dinner tonight?”

Viktor cracked one eye open, making a face. “Nothing hot.” He shifted restlessly, toes curling as if trying to escape the warmth clinging to the room. “I refuse to turn on the stove in this heat.”

“We could order. Something from that noodle place you like, maybe?”

“Too spicy.”

Jayce grinned around the cap of his pen. “You? Turning down noodles? What world am I living in?” Viktor groaned again, rolling his head toward Jayce with a dramatic sigh. “Alright, alright…” Jayce sighed, tapping his knee. “Something fresh then. Sushi? Or a nice sandwich, or- oh, we could order from that new salad place around the corner! They also have poke bowls, I think.”

Viktor scrunched his nose, his lips twitching. “I suppose I could survive a salad. But it better be a good one. With croutons. And avocado. And…” He trailed off, brows knitting faintly as he counted off invisible items on his fingers. “And oh! Some fancy cheese.”

Jayce chuckled. “Oh, we’re being bougie today, huh?”

“I’m suffering.” Viktor replied solemnly, leaning forward just enough to set his now half-empty glass on the table. “I deserve compensation.”

“Aha.”

Jayce watched him fondly as Viktor sat up a little straighter, legs still comfortably draped across his lap, a lazy sprawl of pale limbs and sharp angles softened by comfort. Viktor’s lips tugged into a faint pout, his hair a wild, endearing mess haloed around the headband, stray wisps curling rebelliously upwards.

Jayce couldn’t help but smile. He reached up, cupping Viktor’s cheek gently, his thumb brushing softly along his temple in slow, affectionate strokes. “Okay, you big baby.” He murmured with a quiet laugh. “I’ll call later and get us dinner with extra fancy cheese, just for you.”

Viktor hummed contentedly at that, tilting his head into Jayce’s touch before leaning down to press a kiss to his palm. “Good.” He murmured against his skin, his lips warm and lingering. Then he let himself sink back into the cushions again with a sigh, stretching out fully this time, his arms loose at his sides, his face tipping toward the ceiling.

He didn’t reach for his book again. Instead, he simply closed his eyes, lashes resting like faint shadows against his cheeks, his breathing slow and even as if the heat had finally convinced him to surrender to stillness.

As he chewed on his pen’s cap, Jayce’s gaze lingered on him for a moment longer, catching a glimpse of his relaxed expression. A thought crossed his mind then, one that made him smile even wider: How lucky I am to have this.

Then he slowly returned his attention to his notebook, flipping the page to where he’d left off, his eyes scanning the scribbled formulas and equations. He tried to keep his focus, but every few minutes, his attention would slip away from the numbers, and his pen would start to wander. He found himself doodling in the margins, abstract shapes, little sketches of objects in the living room, the shape of Viktor’s profile… But he kept circling back to his notes, his focus ebbing and flowing, all the while worrying the back of his pen between his teeth—a familiar, absent gesture that kept him tethered to the moment.

At some point, he found himself simply staring at the open notebook, eyes unfocused, the equations blurring into meaningless lines. His pen rested lightly against his lower lip, tugging it down just a little as his tongue flicked lazily at the tip, playing with it without even realizing.

It wasn’t until he felt the weight of a lingering gaze that he blinked back to awareness. Slowly, he turned his head, and sure enough, Viktor was watching him from the couch, eyes half-lidded, a sly smile curling at the corner of his mouth, something warm and suggestive simmering beneath his sleepy expression.

“What?” Jayce raised an eyebrow, lips quirking as he pulled the pen away. “Do I have something on my face?”

“No.” His partner said, his voice lowering a shade as his gaze tracked the way Jayce pulled the pen from his mouth, lips glistening slightly. “You’re just… a bit distracting.”

Jayce shifted, still not fully aware of what he was doing, but Viktor’s gaze didn’t escape him. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Nothing.” He replied innocently, though his tone was anything but. “Just- I’ve noticed that you have a habit of chewing on things.”

“Oh.” Jayce paused, blinking, and then shrugged it off. “Do I?”

Viktor hummed softly, sitting up just enough to shift, sliding his legs further across Jayce’s lap, leaning slightly closer. “It’s like you always need to have something in your mouth.” He said with a small, amused shake of his head. “You either bite your nails, or that little chain of yours, or…” he gestured vaguely, “the cap of that poor pen.”

Jayce followed his gaze down to the pen in his hand, turning it slowly between his fingers. The cap was chewed nearly beyond recognition, jagged and full of bite marks. He huffed a quiet laugh, sheepish. “Okay, fair. Maybe you’re right. I think it keeps my mind busy.”

Viktor leaned forward a bit more, giving Jayce a knowing look. “And your mouth.”

Jayce’s breath caught, just a little. He licked his bottom lip unconsciously, then huffed a laugh to cover the flicker of heat under his skin. “Okay, what, are you psychoanalyzing me now?” He teased, voice just a touch too aware.

Viktor’s smile was slow, sharp-edged. “I don’t need to psychoanalyze you.” His fingers traced Jayce’s arm, feather-light, circling lazily. “I know you.”

The room felt warmer suddenly, the summer air pressing closer. Or maybe it was just Viktor’s presence, the way his body leaned in, his sharp gaze fixed on Jayce with a hunger that wasn’t quite hidden anymore.

Jayce shifted again, heart beating a little faster. His fingers tightened around Viktor’s calf, half-anchoring himself. “Yeah?” He murmured, half-challenging, half-inviting.

Viktor’s hand slipped up, fingers splayed over Jayce’s chest now. “Mh-mh.” He murmured, voice low and velvety. “I know exactly what you need to keep your mouth busy.”

Jayce swallowed, throat bobbing visibly, heat blooming under Viktor’s hand. But then he tilted his head, a playful spark lighting up his eyes as he leaned in just a little closer. “Well…” He began, matching Viktor’s tone. “I think the pens are working just fine for me for now.”

“Really? And once you’ve chewed through every pen in the apartment…” He countered. “What then, hm?”

Jayce let out a shaky laugh, feeling Viktor’s hand slide slowly up his neck, the brush of fingers just below his jaw. “I… guess I’ll need something else to keep me busy.” He breathed, the tip of his tongue darting out to lick his lips again in an unconscious gesture.

Viktor smiled, his thumb brushing the corner of Jayce’s mouth, a deliberate, featherlight touch. “I can think of a few things.”

Jayce felt his breath catch in his throat. His hand tightened gently on his boyfriend’s leg and he leaned in just a little. “Yeah?”

“Yes.” Viktor replied, the tip of his thumb pressing lightly against Jayce’s lower lip.

The younger man let out a slow breath, his lips parting instinctively under the press of Viktor’s thumb, eyes half-lidded as he met his gaze. “Maybe you should show me, then.”

Viktor’s smile turned outright wicked. “Gladly.”

He pressed his finger a little harder against Jayce’s lips, watching as his tongue flicked out and slowly traced the pad of Viktor’s thumb with a languid, teasing stroke. His eyes fluttered half-closed, dark and heavy with want.

Viktor’s gaze sharpened, golden-brown eyes gleaming with a sudden, almost predatory heat. Mere seconds later, he was already surging forward in a sudden burst of intent, his free hand threading into Jayce’s hair as he kissed him hard.

The notebook, the pen and the open book tumbled forgotten to the floor with a dull thud, papers scattering as Jayce’s arms wrapped around Viktor’s waist, pulling him closer and making him sit in his lap. Strong hands slid under the man’s shirt, fingertips grazing over warm skin, until he could clasp his hands together at the small of his back, holding him flush.

Viktor let out a low hum against his mouth, biting down on Jayce’s lower lip, sharp enough to sting. He tugged, a playful, possessive pull that left Jayce gasping softly, a strangled sound vibrating in his throat. Their breaths tangled in the scant inches between them, foreheads almost touching, both of them caught in the electric crackle of the moment.

“Bedroom?” Viktor whispered, the word brushed against Jayce’s lips like a secret.

Jayce swallowed hard, nodding eagerly, his breath shaky. “Please.”

“Then take me there.”

He didn’t give Jayce a chance to answer, leaning in again, stealing another hungry, open-mouthed kiss. Jayce gripped him tighter, standing in one fluid motion, lifting Viktor into his arms without breaking the kiss. Viktor’s legs wrapped around his waist, his arms looping over Jayce’s shoulders as they moved, unsteady but determined.

He carried him out of the living room, lips finally pulling away from Viktor’s mouth to trail wet kisses down the long line of his throat, chasing the beat of his pulse with reverent urgency. Viktor tilted his head back with a soft, breathless sigh, fingers curling tighter in Jayce’s hair, guiding him closer.

By the time they reached Viktor’s bedroom, Jayce quickly set his partner down on the bed, only to immediately crawl over him, caging him in with his body. His hands found Viktor’s jaw, fingers curling around it with a firm, almost commanding grip as he held him in place, his thumb brushing the sharp line of his cheekbone. Jayce leaned in again, his breath hot against Viktor’s throat, lips brushing the delicate skin there with a fleeting softness. Then he sank his mouth into him, kissing hard, teeth scraping before he bit down, deep enough to leave a mark.

Viktor gasped, his lips parting in a sharp intake of breath, back arching subtly beneath him. Jayce pulled back only to press his lips to a new spot, trailing down his neck with open-mouthed kisses, each one wetter, more insistent, as if he were tasting him, claiming him. His teeth found tender skin again, biting just below the last mark, then soothing it with a slow, deliberate lick, only to bite down harder the next time, near his clavicle.

Another gasp shuddered out of Viktor, his hands curling in the sheets, which only fanned the fire in Jayce, made him ache to devour him even more. He growled softly against him, then licked up the hollow of his neck, his tongue tracing a languid, possessive line back toward his jaw. His lips then hovered just below Viktor’s ear before he dragged his tongue along the shell of it and closed his teeth lightly around the lobe.

Viktor shivered beneath him, a quiet, breathy sound slipping from his lips as his head tilted instinctively to the side, giving Jayce even more access. His hand found the man’s back, fingers curling against the thin fabric of his tank top, knuckles paling with the pressure. “See what I mean?” He managed, a soft, shaky laugh escaping him, threaded with equal parts desire and amusement. “Always biting down on something.”

Jayce pulled back slightly at that, his face hovering just above Viktor’s, his hands planted on either side of his head, gaze a little hazy but undeniably fond. A lazy smile curved his lips, and the delicate gold chain around his neck shifted with the movement, the small cross pendant dangling between them, catching the light as it swung gently.

Viktor’s eyes flicked to it, his lips curving again in quiet amusement. He hummed softly, and then raised a hand, fingertips barely brushing Jayce’s mouth before his lips parted almost immediately, pliant, inviting, letting Viktor slide his index and middle fingers slowly past them, pressing them gently against his tongue.

Jayce closed his lips around them, eyes locked onto Viktor’s, dark and dilated as he sucked softly, drawing those long elegant fingers deeper into the wet heat of his mouth. Viktor watched him with an almost clinical fascination, his expression a mix of curiosity and something way more intimate.

“You really are starving for it, aren’t you?” He murmured, voice silken, almost indulgent.

Jayce hummed softly around his fingers, his lips wrapping tighter as he nodded, big, pleading eyes fixed on his partner’s face—open, desperate, willing.

He slowly pulled his fingers out, dragging them along Jayce’s tongue, watching the slick trail they left behind. Jayce’s mouth stayed open, tongue still resting against the dip of his lower lip, breath quickening.

Viktor’s gaze drifted down again, toward the pendant still swaying between them. Slowly, almost ceremoniously, he reached for it, taking the tiny cross between his fingers and guiding it up, pressing it carefully onto Jayce’s tongue, as though offering communion, as though delivering something sacred, intimate, irrevocable.

Jayce let him, breath caught in his throat, his brows drawing together in a quiet, desperate expression as their eyes held, the moment stretching, pulsing between them like a fragile thread. The cold metal cross rested against his tongue, warming slowly in the heat of his mouth, tasting of sweat and skin and something holy. For a breathless beat, it felt like a ritual, like Viktor was feeding him faith itself, like this act was both blessing and claim.

And then, with a slow inevitability, Jayce closed his teeth around it, biting down gently on the chain, holding it there as he stared down at Viktor, gaze heavy with something raw and aching and devotional.

Viktor bit his own lower lip at the sight, his pupils blown wide. His voice came out low, rough around the edges, unable to hide his own growing excitement. “Why don’t we put that smart mouth to good use, then, hm?”

Jayce understood immediately. His lips curved into a slow small smile, still biting down on the chain between his teeth. Then, he released the cross from his mouth, letting it fall gently against his chest as his hands slid down, gripping Viktor by the hips. Without a word, he tugged him back, pulling Viktor down the bed until his thighs slid toward the edge.

A soft, startled sound escaped the man’s lips, but he didn’t resist; he let himself be guided, legs parting instinctively, the backs of his knees hanging just over the mattress, propping himself up on his elbows, eagerly watching for whatever came next.

Jayce lowered himself to his knees on the floor, positioning himself between Viktor’s legs, his palms stroking up the length of his thighs. He didn’t waste a second; leaning in, he pressed a deep, lingering kiss right at the center of him, through the fabric of his boxers, his lips molding against him like a prayer.

Viktor’s head slowly fell back with a shaky sigh as Jayce breathed him in, slow and purposeful, filling his lungs with his scent, his eyes fluttering closed for a moment as if intoxicated, as if this was the only air he ever wanted. He then dragged his tongue up, a slow, deliberate line, damp heat soaking through the thin cotton.

Viktor let out a sharp, exasperated sound, half a gasp, half a plea, his hips giving the tiniest, involuntary jerk. “Jayce.” He breathed, his voice fraying at the edges. “Get on with it.”

Jayce pulled back just enough to glance up at him, a cocky little grin pulling at his lips. “Okay, okay…” He chuckled softly, fingers hooking into the waistband of Viktor’s boxers, as he tugged them down. “You’re especially bossy today, huh?”

“Maybe if you’d just-”

But the words cut off in a sharp inhale the moment Jayce leaned back in and pressed his lips against him, warm and unhesitating, swallowing the rest of his protest in a rush of sensation.

A strangled noise escaped Viktor as his head fell back, his hands fisting in the sheets, breath catching on the edge of a moan as Jayce’s tongue darted out in a slow, reverent sweep against his wet folds, his hands anchoring Viktor’s hips down.

Jayce tilted his head slightly, lips curving into a quiet, greedy smile against him. “Mmh, guess you were right.” He murmured, pulling back just enough for his breath to ghost warmly over him. “This is definitely what I needed.”

He didn’t give his lover a chance to reply, he just ducked his head again, pressing his mouth back against him with more purpose this time. His lips parted, tongue circling Viktor’s cock in a slow, deliberate way, savoring every second of it. His hands gripped his thighs again, thumbs stroking soft, reassuring circles into his skin as his mouth worked him open, building a steady rhythm.

Viktor let himself fall down on the mattress, his spine arching subtly off the bed, hands sliding into Jayce’s hair, threading through thick dark strands, tugging lightly though impatient, needy. “Fuck-”

Jayce’s eyes flicked up, dark and gleaming, as he sank deeper, as if drinking him in was something holy, inevitable. His lips closed around the spot he’d been chasing, mouth sealing tight as he sucked greedily, unashamed.

Above him, Viktor’s chest heaved, his gaze fixed downward, sharp and knowing even as his lips parted around a soft, wrecked sound. His fingers flexed in Jayce’s hair, not pulling him away, but guiding him, tilting his head just so. “Stay there.” He murmured, voice low and edged with command. “Keep going...”

Jayce obeyed instantly, a soft, needy hum vibrating in his throat, his movements easing, languid now, letting Viktor control the rhythm.

“Good.” The older man sighed. “Just like that, zlatíčko. You’re doing so good.” He praised, a subtle pull at his hair reinforcing the words. “Look at me.”

Jayce’s gaze snapped upward, eyes heavy-lidded and hazy, seeking Viktor’s gaze like a tether. His lips were slick and parted around him, breath trembling with want, his entire expression open, aching, pliant under Viktor’s hold.

“There you are.” Viktor’s mouth curved, dark amusement mingling with heat. “Such a pretty little thing like this…”

A whimper vibrated low in Jayce’s throat at the praise, his hands tightening where they held Viktor’s thighs, desperate to keep him close, desperate to earn more of those words.

“So obedient…” His grip tightened in Jayce’s hair, tilting his head up a little more. “You love being on your knees for me, don’t you?”

Jayce nodded, lips molding reverently, letting out a soft, pleading hum as if to say please, please, let me show you. His tongue worked him open more eagerly with every passing second, utterly devoted, drinking in every sound Viktor made like they were oxygen.

Something deep inside Viktor seemed to snap loose then. His composure frayed, unraveling thread by thread as heat coiled tighter in his core. “Shit-“ He hissed, his hips giving another shallow, helpless push forward. His free hand gripped the edge of the mattress, knuckles whitening, chest heaving with ragged breaths as the tension built, as the heat threatened to crest. “There. Right there…!” He ground out between clenched teeth, a desperate edge creeping into his voice now. “Good- Mhn- Such a good boy for me…”

The praise unraveled something tight in Jayce’s chest, a soft, almost pitiful sound breaking from him as he pressed closer, giving himself over completely, willing to be shaped, guided—whatever Viktor wanted, he’d give.

His boyfriend’s thighs tensed under his hands, his hips giving shallow, involuntary stutters, strained, half-choked gasps tumbling from his lips. He was close. So close. And Jayce’s whole world narrowed to this: to worshipping him, to drown in him, to breaking him apart with his mouth. As though this too was an act of love, of faith, of surrender.

“God…” Viktor managed between ragged breaths. “More.” Another gasp, sharper this time. “More, Jayce, please, don’t stop-”

Something wild and desperate flickered in Jayce’s chest, setting his nerves alight, sending a rush of heat spiraling down his back. He answered Viktor’s plea without hesitation, without thought. His lips sealed tighter, his cheeks hollowing as he sucked harder, deeper, greedier, his fingers pressing harder into Viktor’s thighs, grounding himself as he worked, as he poured every shred of devotion into the act.

Viktor’s breath shattered into a broken, low moan, his hips jerking helplessly forward, chasing the warmth of Jayce’s mouth, the wet, relentless pull of him. “Fuck, Jayce!“ His voice cracked, a rough, helpless noise ripping from his throat as his hand tightened in the man’s hair, holding him there as he tumbled over the edge.

And, oh, Jayce sure felt it, the way Viktor trembled, the way his body arched, the way his breath hitched and then spilled out in a long, shuddering moan. He held him through it, never looking away, never letting go, his gaze still locked, still worshipful, as if this —this right here— was what he’d been made for.

And when Viktor finally slumped back against the mattress, chest rising and falling in shaky, uneven breaths, Jayce stayed right where he was, lips brushing softly, reverently over the inside of his thigh, still utterly undone by the privilege of being allowed to love him like this.

He kept pressing gentle, lingering kisses along the inside of his lover’s trembling thigh, patient, waiting, giving him space to catch his breath. Eventually, Viktor pushed himself up onto his elbows, chest still rising and falling unevenly, a flush deep and warm across his cheeks. His hair was an absolute mess now, half-tamed by the thin headband that clung stubbornly on, giving him a look somewhere between exhausted and gloriously unhinged.

Jayce looked up at him, and a slow, satisfied grin stretched across his lips. “Good?” He asked softly, wiping his mouth and chin with the back of his arm, eyes shining with quiet pride.

“Very good.” He murmured, voice still rough, a lazy smile pulling at his mouth. “I’m going to have to put that mouth to better use more often.”

Jayce let out a soft, breathless laugh, heart swelling under the praise, and pushed himself up onto the bed to lean over Viktor again, pressing a tender kiss to his lips. Viktor welcomed it, his mouth warm and relaxed against his, fingers brushing faintly at Jayce’s jaw.

When they pulled apart, Viktor’s eyes glittered beneath the fall of his messy hair. “You did so well…” He mused, a promise curling into every word. “I think you’ve earned a reward, don’t you?”

Jayce swallowed hard, a tremor of anticipation running down his spine as he bit his lip, trying —and failing— to hide the way his chest fluttered at those words.

Viktor’s hand lifted, threading gently through his hair, smoothing it back off his forehead in a tender gesture. His voice lowered again, soft and coaxing, a dangerous sweetness to it as he leaned in closer. “You want me to go down on you?”

Jayce’s lips parted, breath hitching audibly, a tremble escaping him as his gaze flicked down, then back up again. And though the offer was tempting indeed, he forced himself to gather the nerve, swallowing thickly before whispering, “Could you, uh- Could we maybe use… you know.”

Viktor’s brows lifted, his smile widening, pleased, intrigued. “Oh.” He breathed, a note of delight in his tone. His hand drifted down, tracing over Jayce’s chest, his stomach, fingertips light but purposeful as they wandered lower, until his palm rested warm against his abdomen. “You want me to fuck you?”

Jayce nodded, shy, chewing nervously at his bottom lip, his pulse thundering under his skin. Viktor scoffed, obviously amused, letting his hand continue its path, slipping beneath the waistband of Jayce’s shorts, his touch gentle but firm, drawing a sharp, helpless gasp from the younger man as his body instinctively arched into it.

“Look at you.” Viktor chuckled softly, fingers curling just so. “Already soaking, and I haven’t even touched you.”

Jayce let out a groan, accompanied by another shaky nod, hips pressing subtly into Viktor’s palm, grinding faintly, seeking more.

Viktor’s smile deepened, his thumb brushing a slow circle around Jayce’s swollen, aching cock. “Alright.” He hummed, tilting his head, gaze dark and fond all at once. “Since you’re behaving so well… I suppose I can give you a little treat, right?”

“Please.” Jayce managed to breathe out.

Viktor sighed, his hand slipping away as he pushed himself fully upright. “Why don’t you go ahead and undress for me?” His grin turned wicked, warm. “I’ll go fetch the strap.”

Jayce moved aside to give him space, eyes wide, pulse hammering as he watched Viktor crawl across the bed until he reached the nightstand, opened the drawer, and began rummaging through it, his head tilted slightly as he searched.

Unable to contain his excitement, Jayce practically tore off his clothes, tossing them carelessly onto the floor in a flurry of fabric, until he was bare, warm, and aching all over. He laid back against the sheets, chest rising and falling quickly as his gaze remained fixed on Viktor’s back.

He sat at the edge of the mattress, pulling the harness from the drawer with an almost ceremonial slowness. Jayce’s breath caught in his throat as he watched Viktor lift one leg, then the other, threading them smoothly through the straps before adjusting the harness against his hips, his movements practiced, precise.

Jayce turned his head away from him, looking at the ceiling for a few seconds that seemed to be eternal, while his lover finished preparing himself. When Viktor finally turned to him, Jayce couldn’t help the way his tongue darted out to wet his lips, his gaze dropping unabashedly lower to the silicone toy now attached to his boyfriend’s hips.

Viktor’s eyes darkened in response, desire kindling anew in their depths as he moved toward him, approaching him like a predator stalking its prize. His hands landed gently on Jayce’s chest, fingers splaying reverently across his skin, tracing slow, appreciative paths.

“You’re infuriatingly handsome, you know?” Viktor murmured, almost in disbelief, voice husky as his thumb brushed lightly over one of Jayce’s chest scars.

Jayce let out a breathless, embarrassed laugh, color flooding his cheeks. He reached up, cupping Viktor’s face between his hands, pulling him down into a kiss—soft, adoring, yet charged with a growing heat.

Viktor kissed him back, lips moving deliberately, letting his weight shift slightly over his body as he ground down between his legs, letting his cock slide in between Jayce’s folds, drawing a shaky gasp from his mouth against Viktor’s own. His hands continued their exploration, mapping his chest, his ribs, the faint lines of old scars on his skin, fingers tracing over them with a reverence that made Jayce’s heart twist.

“Tell me what you want, pretty boy.” Viktor murmured against his ear, voice molten, fingers stroking slow lines down his sides.

“I-” Jayce whimpered softly, his hips pressing up against the strap, his voice breaking into a plea. “I want you to fuck me.” He whispered, feeling all his remaining composure leave his body. “Please, baby, please… Want you inside.”

“Good job.” Viktor’s lips pressed a lingering kiss to his temple, a smile curling faintly against his skin. “Lay on your side for me.”

Jayce obeyed instantly, rolling onto his side without question, heart hammering in his chest, letting Viktor settle behind him, one hand steady on his waist while the other lifted the hem of his own shirt, bunching it up around his ribs as he shifted closer, aligning himself carefully.

Jayce shivered as he felt the toy nudge against his entrance, Viktor’s touch deliberate, coaxing, his lips ghosting soft kisses down the slope of his back.

“Easy, lásko.” Viktor murmured, a thread of tenderness woven through the heat in his voice. He leaned forward, the fabric of his t-shirt pressing lightly to Jayce’s back, his hand tightening gently at his hip as he slowly pushed in, letting Jayce feel every careful inch.

A strangled groan tore from Jayce’s throat as he finally felt the toy’s full length entering him, his fingers curling into the sheets, breath trembling, overwhelmed in the best way.

Viktor pressed his lips against the nape of his neck, a soft, soothing kiss. “That’s it.” He murmured. “You’re taking me so well.”

And as Viktor held him there, close, steady, Jayce let his eyes flutter shut, letting himself sink into the warmth, into the quiet intimacy of being completely, utterly his.

“Should I move?”

“Please.” Jayce nodded again, pushing his hips back against his partner’s.

“Alright.”

He felt Viktor’s hips pull back just to move forward mere seconds later, creating a slow, repetitive rhythm. Jayce panted, feeling his boyfriend’s arm slipping tighter around him, pulling him flush, close, as though trying to imprint him there, fingertips spreading wide against his chest. His nails dug into tan skin, leaving little crescents on his skin, a mark, a promise, and Jayce couldn’t help the groan that spilled from his lips as he tilted his head back, seeking, offering.

Their hands tangled together over his chest, Viktor’s grip steady and grounding, Jayce’s trembling slightly as he arched, body moving instinctively, desperate for more. Viktor kept sliding in and out of his cunt, every snap of his hips making him feel closer and yet… still not enough.

A frustrated sound bubbled in Jayce’s throat, needy, raw. “More.” He begged, barely audible. “More, please. I need you closer.”

Behind him, Viktor’s breath puffed out in a quiet, breathless laugh. “I’m as close as I can get, Jayce.”

The younger man shook his head in disagreement, restless, chasing something just out of reach, his hips moving insistently as if he could draw Viktor deeper.

Viktor chuckled again, a rich, indulgent sound, and pressed a kiss between his shoulder blades. “Looks like we’ll need to buy you a bigger cock, hm?”

Jayce’s only answer was a dazed, delirious smile, his eyes fluttering open just enough to meet Viktor’s gaze over his shoulder, warm and liquid with longing. He nodded, unable to form words, his chest rising and falling with anticipation.

“So greedy.” Viktor teased. Then, his arm loosened, slowly pulling out.

A small sound of protest left Jayce’s lips at the sudden absence of warmth. But then he turned, and saw Viktor lying on his back, his shirt rumpled up just beneath his ribs, golden eyes dark with invitation.

“Come here.”

It stole the breath from Jayce’s lungs.

He almost obeyed the pull in his gut, the way his body screamed to climb on top of him, chase that closeness again. But something else tugged at him. A flicker of playfulness. Of utter and undeniable want.

Instead of crawling into Viktor’s lap, Jayce leaned forward, catching sight of the toy, still warm and wet from the lube and his own slick. He dipped his head and brushed his nose along its length, slow and deliberate, drawing in what lingered of himself on it. Then, without warning, his tongue flicked out, running a slow, teasing line from base to tip.

A shocked gasp tore out of Viktor, sharp and startled, his whole body tensing. Jayce glanced up just in time to catch the shift in his expression, the flicker of surprise melting into something darker, lustful. His eyes burned like molten gold.

If Viktor was going to tease him about this eager mouth of his, then fine. Jayce would show him just how greedy it could be.

His boyfriend’s hand found his hair once again, fingers threading through it, gripping just tight enough to make Jayce’s stomach twist.

“Filthy.” He murmured. “You really have a needy mouth, don’t you?”

Jayce didn’t answer. At least not with words.

He just smiled around the toy as he took it into his mouth, eyes fluttering half-shut, then up again to meet Viktor’s gaze. He moved slowly at first, letting the heat between them stretch. And he felt dizzy with it, with the power of being watched like that, with the way Viktor's jaw clenched, the way his tongue slipped out just enough to trace over one of his sharp canines, his smirk only growing.

He didn’t need to hear Viktor say how much he liked this—he could see it.

And good Lord… it made him feel wanted in a way nothing else ever had.

Jayce hollowed his cheeks a little, bobbing his head up and down, letting himself sink into the act with shameless devotion. He slurped softly, swallowing down the toy like it was made of flesh itself, chasing the faint taste of himself on the material with a thirst that felt vital, like he needed it just to survive.

“Hm-hm… Such a pretty little mouth indeed.” Viktor mused, voice low and almost fond. His fingers curled in Jayce’s hair, a gentle but insistent pressure guiding him further down. “Even prettier when you’re choking around my cock, don’t you think?”

Jayce whimpered, nodding as best he could, eyes glossy, needy, lips stretched slick and trembling. He felt Viktor’s hands pushing him down in a rough, sudden motion, keeping him in place until a soft gagging sound bubbled up from his throat, making his lover pull him back by the hair. Jayce gasped as he was released, mouth parted and shining, drool trailing down from the corner of his lips to his chin, his cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson.

“God, you’re a vision.” Viktor said, accent thick. “Come here. I think you’ve made enough of a mess already.”

Jayce wasn’t really thinking at that point. He just moved, crawling forward until he was straddling Viktor’s hips, hands on each side of his head. And when Viktor’s hands found his waist again, steady and sure, Jayce leaned down, capturing his lips in a trembling kiss, pouring everything he felt into it, everything he couldn’t quite say.

Viktor kissed him back, slow and deep, then murmured against his mouth, “Go on, darling. Take what’s yours.”

With a shaky breath, Jayce let one hand trail behind him, finding the strap with careful fingers, guiding it into his cunt with deliberate precision. He sank down slowly, inch by inch, until the stretch made his lips fall open in a quiet, broken groan, the sound spilling straight into Viktor’s open mouth.

Jayce shifted slowly, lifting his chest just a little as he leaned back, spine arching in a smooth curve. His fingers found Viktor’s at his waist and threaded through them, grounding himself in the warmth of that touch. Then he started to move, rolling his hips in slow, searching circles, grinding down in quiet desperation.

He could feel Viktor’s cock nudging deep inside him with each motion, drawing out a pressure that pulsed insistently under his skin. He exhaled shakily, letting the rhythm carry him, the drag and press of it building into something bright and needy.

His head tilted back as he found the perfect angle, the ceiling above him a blur of shadows and light. The muscles in his thighs trembled slightly, but he didn’t stop, too focused on the pull in his gut and the way Viktor’s fingers tensed against his.

Jayce made a soft, broken sound, the kind that came from deep in his chest. “Viktor…” His lips parted again, breathing his name like a prayer.

“Yes, love, I’m here.” Viktor murmured, his voice curling around Jayce’s ears like silk. One hand slid higher along his waist, grounding him. “How does it feel?”

Jayce let out a breathy moan, grinding down with more insistence, his movements no longer hesitant but driven by pure desperation. His eyes fluttered shut as he bit down a gasp, murmuring under his breath, “Feels- so good...” He rocked forward again, chasing the heat coiling tighter in his belly. “So good, V.”

“That’s right. You’re doing so well.” Viktor breathed, gaze fixed on him with unwavering intensity. “Keep grinding down, lásko. I want you to come like this.”

Viktor’s hands tightened instinctively around his waist before letting Jayce guide them upward, settling them over his torso with a quiet sort of awe. His palms spread out, fingers greedy and gentle all at once, as if trying to memorize every inch of him through touch alone.

Jayce groaned at the contact, feeling Viktor's fingers slide over his chest and stomach, tracing the curves of muscle, pinching lightly on the soft give of his skin, coaxing tiny sounds from Jayce’s parted lips, before one thumb brushed slowly, reverently, over the faded scars beneath his chest—so familiar now, so sacred in his touch.

Jayce whimpered, barely coherent as the tension coiled tight inside his stomach. His voice was trembling, raw and close to breaking. “Fuck. Fuck, I’m gonna come.” He cried.

Viktor's hand moved on instinct, sliding between his legs, fingers finding his clit without hesitation. He worked soft, messy circles in that tender spot, making Jayce tremble, stealing all the air in his lungs with a sharp, guttural gasp. His body stuttered in place, everything tightening all at once, letting the waves of his climax crash over him.

For a moment, he sagged forward, chest heaving,  lips parted with a quiet moan that never quite left his mouth. But Viktor didn’t give him long. His grip on Jayce’s hips tightened again, guiding him back into motion, slow at first—then with more insistence, more purpose. He blinked, dazed, eyes glassy, the overstimulation turning everything soft and bright at the edges. He let Viktor move him, let himself be handled, eyes locking with his, still wild, still hungry.

“Don’t stop.” Viktor’s voice was rough, his lips parted in something close to a growl. “You want another one, don’t you?” He asked, almost defiant. “Take it.”

Jayce nodded weakly, gasping, and braced himself—feet flat on the mattress now, hands pressing to Viktor’s shoulders for balance. Then he pushed down, harder this time, the motion jolting through him, sharp and full. “Holy shit- Vik!”

“There it is…” Viktor rasped, the corners of his mouth twitching into a sly smirk. “Keep bouncing, sweet boy. I’ve got you.”

Jayce let out a shaky breath, eyes fluttering closed as he rocked his hips down again, chasing that same sharp jolt of pressure. He felt dizzy, overwhelmed, like the edges of his thoughts were fraying. Each movement sent warmth crackling through his limbs, flooding him with a heat that made it hard to think, hard to breathe.

The sound of skin meeting skin echoed low and wet in the room, a rhythm too shameless to ignore. Viktor’s bony hipbones pressed up against him with each downward motion, digging just slightly into his skin, grounding him with that raw, bone-deep contact. It stung a little, but it tethered him, kept him from floating away completely.

He couldn’t stop even if he wanted to. His body moved on instinct now, driven by something deeper than thought. Every motion sent heat coiling tighter in his core. His head lolled back, neck slick with sweat, vision swimming as he breathed through parted lips, quickly reaching his second orgasm, getting drunk on the high on it all. The world felt far away—everything but the weight of Viktor beneath him, the grounding grip on his hips, the dizzying rush that clawed up his spine.

When it finally crested, Jayce froze, breath caught in his throat. For a moment, all he could do was breathe. He slid off Viktor with a soft gasp and collapsed onto his back on the bed beside him, arm flung across his eyes. The room tilted slightly, the ceiling spinning in and out of focus. He pressed a palm flat against his chest, feeling the cool press of the small cross beneath his skin, chain clinging damply to his collarbones.

He barely had time to catch his breath before he felt the shift beside him. Then fingers curled under his chin, firm and commanding, tipping his face upward. He blinked, dazed, and found golden eyes fixed on him with startling intensity.

“Who said I was done with you?” Viktor asked, voice low and silk-wrapped steel.

Jayce’s mouth parted, breath catching in his throat, but nothing came out. His brain offered no words, only static. Viktor hovered above him, flushed and wild-eyed, his headband askew and sweat-slicked curls forming a chaotic halo around his head, like some fever-dream deity coming to claim him. He looked… God, he looked like something Jayce could dream about for years.

So all he could do was let out a ragged breath, lips parting around a dazed, lopsided smile, looking up at him like he was somewhere between worship and delirium. Viktor’s mouth curved in return, just as he brushed Jayce’s lower lip with his thumb, slow and playful, then let his finger trace gently along the edge of his canine teeth, almost curious.

“That’s what I thought.” He murmured. Then, without warning, he shifted back, grabbing a pillow and slipping it beneath his right knee with practiced ease, settling between Jayce’s legs.

His partner blinked at him, struggling to string two thoughts together, and only managed a weak, “Wait- Wait, you don’t have to-”

Viktor silenced him with one hand, curling it around his throat in a commanding grip. The pressure made Jayce whimper, the strangled sound cutting through his words. His hands flew up, fingers curling instinctively around Viktor’s wrist, not to stop him, but to feel, to anchor himself.

“You don’t have to say anything.” Viktor said, voice dripping like thick honey as his fingers tightened around his neck just slightly. “You just have to shut up and take it.”

Jayce exhaled, shuddering beneath him, barely having any time to compose himself before his lover leaned in again, rubbing the tip of the strap against his pulsating cock. Jayce’s vision blurred entirely, the world folding into light and sound and Viktor, Viktor, Viktor…

Jayce let out a trembling sigh, his pulse leaping under the touch, feeling the toy finally slip back inside of him. He didn’t even try to say anything, he just looked up at his boyfriend, wide-eyed and dazed, as if his entire body had been short-circuited.

With his free hand, Viktor caught the bend of Jayce’s leg and eased it upward to make room for himself once more. The motion sent a fresh wave of heat lancing through Jayce’s spine, one hand clutching blindly at the sheets as his overstimulated muscles tensed. Instinct made him draw his legs in tighter, a shiver rattling down to his toes—until Viktor’s touch firmed again, pushing his thigh back with a quiet, deliberate pressure.

“Ah-ah.” He warned, a quiet reprimand in his tone. “Stay put. ” Jayce let out a broken noise, throat tightening beneath the man’s fingers, his hazel irises rolling back into the back of his skull as he felt Viktor bottom out inside him. “I think you can give me another one, can’t you?” His partner asked, although it felt more like an order, his voice curling around the words like a leash.

Jayce tried to shake his head, his voice cracking in his poor attempt to speak. “I- I can’t- Viktor, I really don’t think I-”

The grip around his throat tightened just enough to command stillness. “I don’t think you understand.” Viktor murmured, leaning closer, gold eyes dangerous and consuming. “I’m not giving you an option. You’re gonna shut the fuck up and take it until I say so. Are we clear?”

Jayce’s body obeyed before his brain could catch up, legs falling slack again, every inch of him yielding, his head nodding in a slow, broken rhythm. He couldn’t speak, his voice caught somewhere between a sob and a sigh. His lips parted in a sharp gasp as Viktor loosened his hand just enough to let him breathe again.

“Good.” The older man whispered, and the heat in that single syllable made Jayce tremble. “Open up.” He continued, the command quiet but firm. “I’m going to give you your reward… I know how badly you need to keep your mouth full.”

Jayce made a soft, needy noise, his lashes fluttering as he lifted his gaze, eyes wide and pleading, lips parting on instinct, tongue sticking out immediately. He was even dizzier now, vulnerable in a way that felt sacred. He kept his mouth open; a silent plea, trust curling deep in his chest like a flame.

Viktor took a couple of seconds to just smile at him —steady, unreadable and utterly devastating— before spitting a mouthful of saliva into his mouth.

Jayce whined, feeling the last remnants of reason unraveling inside him, coming loose like thread caught on something sharp. His vision was hazy, body pulsing with a need too big for words, too vast for thought.

“More?”

Jayce just nodded, fragile, wordless, almost pitiful in its desperation.

Viktor tilted his head, eyes shining with satisfaction. Slowly, deliberately, he dragged his tongue across his lower lip, tasting the moment. “Very well.” He approved, before gathering spit in the back of his mouth and repeating the motion a second time.

Jayce’s jaw slackened, breath hitching as his nails pressed into Viktor’s wrist. He parted his lips wider, tongue pushing out in a silent offering, like he was accepting some sort of prize. This felt more like receiving communion than any other thing in the world.

“Good job.” Viktor murmured. “Stay just like this, alright?”

He then lifted his hand again, letting the pad of his index and middle finger press flat against Jayce’s tongue. The warmth of it made him shudder. Viktor lingered there, his gaze drinking in the sight of swollen lips and flushed cheeks, spreading his own spit on the surface of his tongue.

Then, with a quiet hum of approval, he pushed his fingers deeper, past the edge of Jayce’s teeth, to the knuckle. “Close.”

Jayce’s lips closed instinctively around them, his cheeks hollowing as he sucked, drinking him in, relishing in his flavour. He could feel Viktor watching him, could almost hear the smirk in the soft exhale that followed.

“Cute.” Viktor whispered, fond and teasing all at once. “Good boy.” He praised before finally releasing Jayce’s neck.

Immediately after, he pulled his fingers free, and Jayce made a small, helpless sound at the back of his throat, already aching for whatever came next.

He watched as Viktor reached for the hem of his shirt, tugging it up with a sharp jerk and biting it between his teeth—an instinctive move to keep it out of the way. The fabric hung from his mouth, clinging slightly to his lips, and Jayce’s eyes were helplessly drawn to the sight of Viktor staring down, pupils blown wide, locked on the space where their bodies met, before he finally started moving.

Jayce whimpered at the friction, but still, he couldn’t look away—didn’t want to. But he wanted more. He needed to see him. All of him. Not the scraps left behind fabric, not a silhouette blurred by movement and haze. He wanted to see him whole.

“Take it off.” Jayce breathed, barely a whisper, his voice wrecked. “Please, Viktor.”

His partner blinked, like coming up for air, the trance cracking around the edges. His eyes flicked up to meet Jayce’s, the barest flicker of hesitation passing through them.

“I-” He began, but the word never made it further.

Jayce saw the pause, the flicker of vulnerability behind his eyes. He knew how carefully Viktor carried himself, how long it had taken to let him in this far. He knew Viktor wasn’t particularly fond of his own body—especially his chest. But Jayce adored every inch of him, and the summer heat clung to them like a second skin, so that shirt felt like a kind of quiet torment, not just for Viktor, but for him too. It was a barrier Jayce could no longer bear, something that didn’t belong there anymore.

“Please, baby…” He insisted, voice catching on the endearment. “Please… Let me see you. I need to see you.”

Viktor swallowed hard. The movements of his hips didn’t falter —still slow, still steady— but his brows drew together, and something thoughtful flickered across his face. After a moment, he made a soft, frustrated sound and let the fabric fall from his mouth.

“Fuck it.” He muttered in between his teeth, almost to himself, and tugged the shirt up and over his head in one quick motion.

Jayce’s breath caught when he finally saw the whole expanse of pale skin kissed with dark constellations, the faint lines of muscle carved with quiet strength, his small breasts splashed with a couple of moles… He looked flushed and breathtaking and utterly real. Jayce couldn’t help it; he reached up, palm open, fingers brushing reverently across his chest, feeling the warmth of him.

“You’re so beautiful, mi amor…”

Viktor’s breath caught. His lips parted, his lashes low over eyes gone soft and shining. For a second, he looked like he might shy away from the praise, but instead, he leaned in, his expression caught somewhere between wonder and hunger. The compliment seemed to sink into him slowly, blooming across his skin like heat, and he began to move again, more insistently this time, drawing another moan from Jayce, who arched beneath him, overwhelmed all over again.

His hands trembled as they roamed across Viktor’s ribs, taking the sight in, as if he were still trying to believe this was real. He was falling apart all over again, tears prickling at the corners of his eyes.

“I- Fuck, Viktor, you’re amazing.” He cried, desperately clinging to him. “So good, baby. You’re perfect.” They kept their eyes locked, staring into each others souls. “Te amo, mi vida. I love you. Fuck, ngh- I love you, V, I love you, I love you, I-”

Viktor leaned down, kissed the words from his mouth, and Jayce felt something gently breaking open in his chest. He reached up without hesitating, cupping his lover’s face with both hands, fingers trembling, and kissed him back through the tears. And somewhere in the warmth of it all, Jayce tipped over the edge once again, sobbing softly into the crook of Viktor’s mouth as he fucked him through his third orgasm.

Eventually, they slowed down until they were completely still, just panting against each other’s lips. Jayce could hardly think. He was weightless, boneless—adrift in some warm, trembling space between exhaustion and ecstasy. All he could do was breathe, shallow and slow, his body humming with lingering sparks.

They stayed like that for a moment—foreheads pressed close, breaths mingling. Then Viktor spoke, his breath ghosting over Jayce’s mouth. “Are you okay?”

Jayce nodded faintly, letting out a soft hum instead of words. He wasn’t sure he could manage speech yet. He just needed another minute—or maybe thirty…

Viktor pulled back slowly, and Jayce felt the loss of him like cold air. He blinked at the ceiling, dazed, as he listened to the soft rustle of sheets and Viktor’s quiet, tired grunts. There was the familiar creak of the mattress, and the sound of the strap's harness being unfastened and discarded, landing somewhere in the corner of the bed.

After a moment, Jayce finally managed to turn his head to the side, breath still shallow. Viktor was lying flat on his back, chest rising with unsteady effort, sweat clinging to his skin in a fine sheen. He seemed a little pained, a little winded, but somehow, he still looked like a masterpiece rendered in chiaroscuro. The shadows of his bedroom clung to the sharp lines of his face, tracing every hollow and angle with an inexplicable softness, while the dim light gilded the sweat on his skin like gold leaf. He was all contrast —fragile and unbreakable, exhausted and divine— like something carved by brutal, yet loving hands.

Eventually, Viktor turned his head too. Their eyes met, still swimming in something quiet and full. He reached out, fingertips brushing along Jayce's cheek with an aching gentleness. “Was that too much?”

Jayce shook his head and leaned into the touch, closing his eyes, grounding himself in the warmth of Viktor’s palm as the pad of his thumb traced the shadow of stubble along his jaw.

“Do you need anything?”

Jayce shook his head again. Then, he turned onto his side, inching forward slowly, arms reaching to gather Viktor against him. His lover came without resistance, letting himself be held, curling slightly into Jayce’s chest. His big and calloused hands moved instinctively to the smaller man’s back, stroking up and down in a steady rhythm, fingertips ghosting over the large scar running down his spine. The gesture was slow, thoughtful, as if memorizing it for the millionth time.

After a long silence, Jayce murmured, “Thank you.”

Viktor huffed a small laugh against his skin. “What for?”

For trusting me. For taking off your shirt. For letting me see you like that when I know it’s hard. For pushing through your pain so I could feel good. For taking care of me when I came apart.

All that came out was, “For everything.”

Viktor snorted softly and gave his side a little pinch. “Corny.” He mumbled, voice fond.

He pulled back slightly, just enough to look at him, their faces inches apart. Jayce laughed, dazed and warm, at the sight of Viktor’s hair sticking out from the headband in wild shapes.

“You look crazy.”

“You’re not much better.” Viktor shot back with a smirk.

Their smiles lingered—lazy, adoring. Viktor leaned in, pressing a small kiss to his lips, short and sweet.

“I love you.” He whispered.

Jayce nuzzled their noses together. “I love you too.” He kissed the bridge of his nose. Then his eyelids. Then his forehead. “Are you hurting?” He asked gently, his fingers still tracing slow circles along Viktor’s back.

“A little.” His partner admitted, with a faint wince. “The usual. Don’t worry. It’s not your fault.”

Jayce frowned, then sighed. “I’ll give you a massage later with that muscle salve your physical therapist recommended, okay?”

“You don’t have to.”

“I want to.”

Viktor hummed in quiet acceptance, and they lapsed into stillness again. The heat between them buzzed quietly, body-warm and heavy with the weight of everything unsaid, everything understood.

“Jayce?”

He hummed in response, not opening his eyes.

“As much as I like lying here like this…” Viktor sighed dramatically, shifting slightly. “It’s disgustingly hot. We’re sweaty. I’m sticking to you. It’s gross. I feel like I’m dying.”

Jayce burst out laughing, muffling it into Viktor’s shoulder before pulling back.

“Okay, okay…” He chuckled, stretching slightly with a low groan as he pushed himself upright. “First, shower. Then we order that salad?”

Viktor looked up at him, grinning sleepily. “With extra fancy cheese?”

“With extra fancy cheese.”

Viktor threw his fist in the air weakly, still sprawled out like a starfish. “Hell yeah.”

Jayce laughed softly, fondness blooming in his chest as he looked at the man slumped beside him, all messy hair and sleepy eyes and dramatic flair.

Yeah, the summer heat could be unbearable, sticky and stifling and gross in all the worst ways. But somehow, it always left Jayce with the sweetest memories.

And now, with Viktor by his side, he had all the time in the world to make new ones.
