Chapter Text
It all started with tequila.
Or maybe it started when Tim offered to drive, so Lucy could finally let loose with Rachel for the first time in... God , it had to be months.
Her laugh had been wide and full all night, her arm was slung around Rachel’s shoulders, and the two of them were downing shots like they were back in college. The music was too loud, the air thick with sweat and cheap perfume, and Lucy’s cheeks were already pink before she even finished her third drink.
Tim stood at the bar with Kellan, nursing a beer like it might cool down the thing burning in his chest. It didn’t help. His eyes kept sliding back to her, even when he told them not to.
God , the way she moved. Like she didn’t even know her body had edges. Like she was pouring into the music and it was pouring right back into her. Her shirt clung to her, sweat-darkened and see-through in spots, and she didn’t care. That’s what killed him. That she didn’t care.
“She needed this,” Kellan said.
Tim didn’t look away. “Yeah,” he said quietly. “She really did.”
By the time they spilled outside, everything was a blur of neon and night air and the sound of Lucy and Rachel trying not to fall over in their heels. They clung to each other like they were laughing too hard to walk straight.
Tim and Kellan trailed behind, trading a look when Lucy drifted too close to the gutter and stumbled.
Tim reached out without thinking, catching her waist to steady her. “You sure she’s good?”
Rachel didn’t slow down. Just tossed a look over her shoulder. “She’s fine. She’s, like, three shots past caring but happy as hell.”
Then she turned toward him, and smirked. “She’s all yours tonight. Take care of her, yeah?”
Lucy moved close to him, teetering a little as she stared up at him, her wide, bright eyes somehow managing to be both shiny and steady. She grinned up at him, her lips pulled into something that briefly resembled a playful pout. "Hey."
He let out a quiet laugh, putting a hand on her back to steady her. "Hello, yourself. You all set?"
She nodded, kind of. Then kissed him. Quick. Open. A little sloppy. Sweet.
She was giggly now, clinging to his arm as they walked toward the car, her steps uneven, her body swaying against his. She kept leaning on him, humming some song she probably didn’t even realise was still stuck in her head.
“You’re warm,” she said, lips against his shoulder. Her fingers slid up his arm under his sleeve. Unhurried. Curious. Not innocent.
“Lucy…”
She looked up at him, lips pink and a little swollen from smiling too much. “God, you're always so serious. It’s kinda hot.”
He steadied her again. “Hey.”
She leaned in, whispering like it was a joke. "You heard Rachel... you have to take care of me. I’m all yours .”
He sighed. “Yeah. When we get home.”
Her pout was instant. Dramatic. “That’s so far.”
As a trade, he leaned in and kissed her. Not long. Just enough. The kind of kiss that says I mean it, even when you wish you didn’t.
She hummed into it, hand slipping around his waist under his jacket like she already didn’t believe him.
Then he opened the door and helped her in.
And for a minute, it was quiet. Just the low hum of the radio and the sound of her breathing. Her head tipped against the window. Her hand still brushed his arm every so often, like she needed to know he was there. Like she forgot and remembered and forgot again. Tim kept his eyes on the road, trying to focus, but her presence was everywhere, her scent, the little sighs she let out that hit him low and hard.
That’s when everything shifted.
Lucy turned toward him, slouching a little in the seat...eyes dragging over his face like she was thinking about something she probably shouldn’t say out loud. And then her hand was on his thigh.
“Lucy.” His voice cracked on it. Just a little.
She laughed under her breath, barely a sound. Her fingers moved. Just enough. “You look so fucking good like this,” she murmured. “All focused. All tense. I can’t stop looking at you.”
He gritted his teeth, eyes locked on the road, foot easing off the gas as a red light came into view. The car slowed beneath them, the world outside bleeding into neon and stoplight glow. “We’re not doing this. Not again.”
She smiled, low and confident, voice a little slurred but clear enough to cut through the tension. “Yeah we are.”
The red light felt way longer than usual. Not that he was paying attention to the countdown…he couldn’t. Not with Lucy’s hand creeping higher, fingertips slipping into the waistband of his jeans like it was the most casual thing in the world. Like they weren’t stopped at a goddamn intersection. Like anyone could look over.
“Don’t tell me you forgot last time.” Her voice was quiet, a little lazy with alcohol, words curling at the edges. “You had your fingers inside me right here… this seat… and I came so hard I almost broke your wrist.”
He inhaled sharply, one hand gripping the wheel, the other shooting down to catch her wrist. “Stop.”
“Mm,” she said. It wasn’t a yes. Definitely wasn’t a no.
She pouted. Not even trying to hide it. “No.”
Somehow, she wriggled her hand free. Her other hand joined, fumbling with his belt. He swore under his breath, torn between stopping her and giving in. But the sound of the buckle coming loose made his cock twitch.
“Lucy.”
“Shhh,” she slurred a little. “I got it.”
Her fingers hit the zip and it jammed for a second. She huffed. Fumbled again. Got it halfway down, then slipped her hand inside. Her fingers hooked into the front of his briefs, tugging them down just enough—and the moment her hand closed around him, warm and bold, he sucked in a breath so fast it kind of… hurt . “Oh fu—”
She stroked him once. Then again. Slower. Like she knew exactly what would happen.
The light turned green, and he didn’t move.
“Drive,” Lucy whispered, her voice low and smug, her hand still working him with maddening ease. “Before someone gets curious.”
He muttered something under his breath, foot hovering over the accelerator, one hand clutching the steering wheel, the other still trying to control hers. The wheels rolled forward, slow at first, eyes fixed on the road like it was the only thing keeping him sane.
Her seatbelt was off before he could tell her to stop, her body twisting toward him.
“Lucy, c’mon,” he said. “Seriously…”
She leaned in and kissed his neck, tongue flicking over his pulse. “You’re already hard,” she whispered. “So stop pretending you don’t want it.”
He should’ve pulled over. He knew that. Every neuron in his brain was flashing STOP. But his body didn’t get the message.
The car slowed once again, she leaned in, her lips brushing over his jaw, then lower. She glanced up at him once, eyes dark and full of filthy promise…and then she was gone. Down.
His knuckles went white around the wheel. His hips jumped without permission.
Her mouth wrapped around the head of his cock, wet and hot, and he nearly drove through the red. He hissed through his teeth, eyes wide, chest heaving.
“This is–fuck–” he hissed. “This is such a bad idea.”
Her tongue licked down his shaft, spit sliding slick and slow. Then she sank back down, inch by inch, sucking with a wet heat that made his thighs tremble.
A car eased up next to them at the light. Tim glanced over… headlights, at least four people inside, loud music bleeding through their cracked windows. One laugh cut through the air like a warning.
His whole body went stiff. “Lucy, fuck…stop–” he bit out.
She moaned around him. No warning. No buildup.
His hand shot down, gripping the back of her head without even thinking, his fingers tight in her hair. “Jesus— they’ll see you ,” he hissed, eyes flicking toward the red glow of the stoplight.
But she didn’t stop… she sank lower, taking him deeper like it was a challenge . Her throat clenched around him, hot and tight, and his eyes rolled back before he could fight it.
The light turned green.
The car didn’t move.
A horn blared behind them.
Tim jolted, snapped out of it just enough to yank her head up by the hair, and her mouth popped off him with a sound that was way too loud in the enclosed space. Wet, obscene. It echoed.
He hit the accelerator like he needed to outrun what just happened.
“F–fuck,” he muttered, voice ragged, chest heaving. His cock was still out, twitching against his thigh, wet with spit and pre-cum, like it didn’t even know it had been interrupted. Like it wanted more .
Lucy wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, smirked without shame. “You missed the turn.”
“You’re fucking insane ,” he rasped, glancing at her, and immediately regretted it. Her lips were swollen, glossy. Her eyes still hazy and dark. Hunger written all over her face.
She leaned in, slow and smug. “So stop me.”
And her hand was back. Wrapping around the base of him again like she owned it. Slow, steady strokes. Just enough pressure to remind him who was really in charge.
Her head bobbed fast, messy, all spit and suction and intention. Her mouth worked him over like she had something to prove. Her tongue curled right under the tip with every pull. Her lips sealed tight. She sucked like she wanted to ruin him.
The sounds were filthy. Wet and messy, every stroke of her mouth a lewd, echoing suck. Her spit mixed with his pre-cum, dripping down his shaft, pooling warm against his skin.
He was panting. Chest rising like he’d run a mile, thighs shaking, hand clenched in her hair like he needed to anchor himself to something .
“Lucy–fuck… Jesus Christ–” he gritted, voice cracking down the middle.
She moaned again. Around him. That vibration hit him like a lightning bolt, right to the base of his spine. His hips jerked hard, and he wasn’t controlling them anymore. Not even trying.
Her hand slid up to meet her mouth, stroking in perfect time. Gliding through the mess they’d made. And she didn’t slow down. If anything, she doubled down. Sinking deeper, tighter, humming like she wanted it. Like this wasn’t for him—like it was hers.
“I’m gonna–” he gasped, barely even heard his own voice over the blood rushing in his ears.
“Fuck…just–hold on–” he gasped, one hand fumbling for the hazard lights. He jerked the wheel slightly and pulled the car to the side, tires crunching gravel, the engine still idling.
By the time he threw the car into park, she had him right on the edge…hot mouth, slick hands, moaning like she wanted to wreck him.
“Lucy…”
Then it hit him. Sharp, hot, rolling through his spine and crashing out of him in a series of sharp, shuddering thrusts. He came hard, mouth open, no air, just a ragged, strangled sound as he spilled into her mouth.
And she stayed on him. Swallowed every drop like it was nothing. Just kept sucking through it, slow, greedy pulls, dragging it out, milking him like she didn’t care what came next.
When she finally came up, her mouth was red and slick, chin shining with spit and the last of his release. Her eyes were glassy and dark, pupils blown wide.
Tim couldn’t think. Barely managed, “I…holy shit.”
Lucy grinned. Like she hadn’t just made him forget how to function. “Still think it was a bad idea?”
He shook his head. His hands were still shaking.
“I almost crashed this car.”
Lucy giggled, not the least bit sorry, dragging her fingers along her bottom lip like she was admiring her own work.
Tim groaned, tried to breathe, shifting in his seat, fumbling to get himself put back together with trembling hands. “You’re gonna fucking kill me.”
“You loved it,” she said, smug as hell, palm finding his thigh again.
He caught her wrist this time. Tight. Firm.
“No,” he said, voice rough and hoarse. “We wait till we get home.”
She tilted her head, eyes low and dark. “You really think I’m going to be able to wait that long?”
Tim shook his head, jaw tight. “ I need to wait that long.”
But even as he said it, his body betrayed him. He was already halfway gone, spun up by her laugh, undone by her mouth, and absolutely fucked up by the look in her eyes. He wasn’t sure if he wanted her to stop… or if he just wanted to believe he had any control left.
She grinned. “Drive faster.”
Tim shot her a look, somewhere between a glare and disbelief. The tires bumped off the curb as he merged back into traffic, jaw tight, eyes straight ahead.
“Unbelievable,” he muttered.
Lucy just hummed, smug and unbothered, like she hadn’t just brought him to the edge of total collapse on the side of the damn road.
He barely managed to throw the car into park before everything spilled loose. The seat slammed back, his pants shoved lower in a motion that felt more like tearing than undressing. Lucy didn’t wait for instructions as grabbed the hem of her skirt, hiked it up with one hand and climbed over the centre console like they’d done this a hundred times. Like there wasn’t anything strange or ridiculous about trying to fuck in a car barely big enough to breathe in.
She straddled him without hesitation, her thighs bracketing his hips, breath warm and thick with tequila. Her hands found his shoulders. Her eyes found him.
And that’s when he really looked at her. Really saw her.
There, in the soft flicker of the overhead light, he caught it, just the faintest shine at the corner of her mouth. His release. Still there. Still wet. Still marking her.
A sound got caught somewhere in his throat, and before he even thought about it, he reached up and swiped his thumb across her lip. Meant to wipe it away.
But Lucy grabbed his wrist before he could pull back. Held it there. Stared him down with something wild in her eyes. Her mouth opened, eyes locked on his, and she sucked his thumb between her lips, slow, filthy, deliberate. Watching him watch her.
Tim let out a sound that didn’t sound like him. Low. Raw. Too full. His cock jerked hard enough to make him flinch.
“Jesus, Lucy…” It came out shaky, almost whisper-shouted. His eyes locked on hers like he was drowning in them.
His hand slid down between them, moving on instinct, all need and no second thoughts… And then he... stopped.
No lace. No cotton. Nothing but bare skin and slick heat waiting for him.
His jaw clenched as his fingers dragged through her folds, slow and deliberate, like he needed to feel every inch just to believe it.
“You’re…” he said, voice rough and blown out, barely more than a breath against her neck.
Lucy smirked, her mouth brushing his jaw as she leaned in closer. “Took them off for you.”
“Fuck…” His voice was thick, breath catching. “You’ve been worked up for me all night, haven’t you?”
She leaned in, her mouth brushing his jaw, breath shaking just slightly. “Since… like, the second shot,” she murmured, drunk on it. Drunk on him.
Tim exhaled hard, his hand sliding under her thigh to grab a firm hold of her ass, like he needed to feel every inch of her, needed her there. Present. His other hand moved between them, slow and sure, easing away from her centre just long enough to line himself up, cock heavy and aching, pressed right where she was softest.
“Come on,” he whispered, not begging but close. “Ride me.”
But she didn’t move.
She just… hovered there. Breathing fast, one hand braced against his chest, holding herself up with shaking arms and that same damn look in her eyes. She shifted and dragged the tip of him through her, slick and teasing, slow enough that he could feel every second of it. And he felt it. All of it.
His hands tightened on her thighs, fingers flexing hard enough to leave marks.
“Don’t fucking play with me,” he growled, voice low and barely controlled, all tension and hunger wrapped around each word.
She smirked, cheeks flushed, that wild flush that only came with too much tequila and too much knowing, her eyes lit from the inside with something sharp and wicked. And then she moved…just a little. A slow, almost lazy roll of her hips, like she wasn’t doing it for effect, like she just needed to. Just enough to make him feel it. Just enough to make sure he couldn’t forget what she was offering. Or maybe what she was taking. He gritted his teeth, fingers flexing against her thighs.
“Not playing,” she said, voice rough at the edges, like she was talking through smoke. She shifted again, the head of him dragged slick between her folds. “You’ve had me begging for weeks.” Her eyes burned into him. “Your turn.”
Tim let out a breath that barely counted as a laugh. “Oh yeah?” he said, eyes cutting up to hers. “You really seemed to hate it.”
What he hated, though, was how much he wanted this. Her. Not just the sex, not just the heat of it, the way she moved or the way she sounded when she got like this. No. It was her . It had always been her. That was the part that kept getting him. That stupid, relentless truth.
She hovered above him like a threat and a prayer. Her hips twitched, and she did it again, dragged him through her, wet and ready and teasing. She was making a game out of it, but it didn’t feel like a joke. Not really. Not with the way her breathing stuttered. Not with the way she looked at him, like maybe she needed this just as bad.
“Tell me how bad you want it,” she breathed. Her voice cracked slightly, still sultry, still low, but there was something beneath it now… something too honest to be just play. It was all tequila and pride and that stupid kind of vulnerability people only show when they think they’ve already won.
Tim shook his head slowly, biting down a groan. His grip tightened on her hips, grounding or warning….he didn’t even know. “Yeah,” he muttered, like he was answering some internal question, not hers. “We’re not doing this.”
But Lucy didn’t back off. She didn’t flinch. She leaned in, slow and close and careful, and cupped his face with both hands. Her fingers a little uncoordinated. But it was real. Her thumbs brushed his cheeks, soft, like she was trying to steady him , like maybe she wasn’t steady either.
“Let me have this,” she said. Not sultry now. Not controlled. Her voice was a little too loud, like she hadn’t meant to say it all the way, but couldn’t take it back. And the look in her eyes, it wasn’t just heat or want or the sharp edge of a dare. It was that thing underneath. That something raw. That thing that meant this mattered .
Something in him cracked.
Tim surged up and kissed her, hard, hungry, no finesse. It was all tongue and heat, the kind of kiss that stole breath and made everything around them blur. Messy. Unfiltered. Like he needed her mouth to quiet everything else.
And then, right against his lips, barely more than a breath, she whispered:
“Beg for it, Tim.”
His eyes narrowed...not angry, just burning with that sharp edge of frustration that settled low in his gut. She was right there, all of her, wet and warm and waiting and absolutely unbothered by how much control she’d already taken.
“You’re messing with me,” he said, voice low, rough. “And you’re drunk.”
She rolled her hips again, slower this time, just enough to press him right against her entrance and hold him there. Not giving in, not yet, just making sure he felt it. Felt her.
“You’re hard,” she said, her breath warm against his mouth, uneven, a little shaky. “And I’m on top of you. Does it look like I don’t know what I’m doing?”
Tim shut his eyes for a second. One long breath in, through clenched teeth, then out. When he opened them, there was no point pretending. His eyes were full of heat, full of something he didn’t want to name. Full of the surrender she always pulled out of him, even when he swore she wouldn’t.
“Please,” he said. The word came low, tight, like it had scraped its way out of his throat.
She smiled like that was all she needed. Like she’d known she’d get it. She cocked her head, gave him that infuriating look, the one that curled at the edges. “Please what?”
Tim stared up at her, the corner of his mouth twitching like he was fighting off a curse. He didn’t want to give it to her. But he did anyway. He reached up, grabbed the back of her neck, pulled her close enough that his words hit her lips when they left his mouth.
“Fuck me.”
Her smirk softened into something darker, her eyes flickering with that look that always meant trouble. The kind that meant he was done for.
“ Good boy .”
She shifted little more and then slowly, achingly, sank down onto him.
The stretch pulled a gasp from both of them, Lucy’s breath catching in her throat, Tim’s head thudding back against the headrest. Her nails bitt into his shoulders, her body taking him inch by inch, every bit of him pressing deep.
She was soaked, more than ready, but he could still feel the resistance. The thick, perfect pressure that made both of them twitch. She closed her eyes, tried to breathe through it, and kept moving. Slow…steady, until he was buried inside her and couldn’t think straight.
Tim groaned, hands clutching at her hips like they were the only thing keeping him grounded. “Jesus… yeah,” he breathed. “Just like that.”
He tried to pull her down harder, to go deeper, to push where he ached, but she didn’t let him. Her thighs locked tight around him, keeping him in place, her mouth brushing his ear.
“No. Gonna take you slow,” she said. “All of you.”
“Damn it, Lucy,” he muttered, breath ragged, eyes clenched shut.
Her lips touched his ear again, her voice smooth and dangerous. “If they saw you at work like this,” she said, her grin audible now, “taking it so well, doing exactly what you’re told…”
She didn’t ride him hard. Didn’t give him that brutal rhythm he craved. Instead, she rocked against him, rolling in slow, deliberate motions that made his cock throb inside her, made his hands tremble, made it impossible to think. Every time he tried to lift her hips or move, she clamped down again, keeping control, keeping him right where she wanted.
She bit down on his neck, more like a warning with heat behind it. “Bet no one would believe how easy you are to break,” she murmured, pleased, like she was proud of it.
“Lucy…” he gritted out.
Her pace was torturously slow, pulling back just enough that he nearly slipped free before she sank down again, dragging him deep and holding there, grinding hard at the base.
“Baby,” he groaned, low and rough, like the word had been pulled out of him against his will, torn from some place he didn’t usually let anyone see.
She leaned in closer, lips brushing the shell of his ear. “Still not begging,” she whispered, soft as silk and twice as cruel.
Tim dropped his head back hard against the headrest again, throat working like he was choking on everything he wasn’t saying. “Lucy, I…swear to God…”
“Talk to me,” she breathed. “Tell me what it’s doing to you. I wanna hear it.”
He made a sound, rough and broken, not quite a word. He swallowed. Tried again.
“You feel…” He stopped, chest heaving. Tried to breathe. “You feel fucking perfect.”
He was right there, strung tight, holding on by threads.
He looked up at her then, really looked. Eyes wide, mouth opening like he wanted to speak but nothing came out. Just breath and want and panic.
“Okay?” he gasped, voice cracking like glass. “That what you wanted? You… baby—fuck, I can’t… I can’t think. I need it. I need you. Please...”
She felt every bit of it. The way his voice shook, the way his hands held her like a lifeline, the way his body was trembling beneath her like she’d unravelled something deep.
“Say it again,” she whispered, her voice low, breath catching like maybe it wasn’t just for him anymore. “Say it.”
Tim’s whole body was locked up. Muscles tight. He stared up at her, eyes wide, searching her face like it might save him.
Then his hand slid down to her thigh and gripped hard. Needing something to hold. Something to believe in.
“I fucking love you,” he rasped, the words falling out like he hadn’t meant to say them. “But I need you to move.”
She laughed, and dropped her face into the curve of his neck, lips brushing his skin. Then she started to move, her pace shifting into something deeper, more deliberate. Her hips rolled with purpose, steady, pulling another curse from his lips as she ground down on him.
She leaned back, bracing herself with one hand at the top of the seat, and then she started riding him like she meant it. Like she had something to prove. Like there was a timer running out that only she could feel. Her thighs clamped tight around his waist, holding him in place, refusing to let him slip even an inch. He wasn’t going anywhere. Not while she had him like this.
Tim groaned, loud, ragged, his head falling forward to her chest. His breath hit her skin in fast, shaky bursts. “Fuck,” he gasped, not even thinking about what he was saying anymore.
She slammed her hips down on him again and again, chasing the drag, the friction, like she didn’t care what happened next, just needed more of this . The sound of it was everywhere, slick and loud and completely obscene, wet skin slapping, windows fogging, the car creaking like it might come apart around them.
“You’re gonna make a mess,” he choked out, barely holding on.
She laughed again, wild and gleeful. “I am the mess,” she said, and then hiccuped mid-thrust, grinning like she was drunk on him, on this….on all of it.
Tim tried to hold on. Really tried. But her pussy clenched around him like she knew . Like her body could feel every edge he was breaking on and wanted to take him further.
He reached up and tangled his fingers in her hair, tugging hard enough to pull her head back. Her breath snagged, and her eyes fluttered open, dazed and dark.
Tim leaned in, mouth open and hungry against her neck. He bit down, then sucked, hard, possessive, drawing a sharp mark that made her gasp and jolt against him.
His hips bucked up to meet hers, chasing the drag of her body like it was the only thing that mattered. Their rhythm turned frantic. Desperate. No finesse left. Just raw need, clashing and clawing like they were trying to disappear into each other.
The whole car rocked, groaning with every thrust, metal straining and windows rattling. Her moans punched the air in broken bursts, shattering and uneven, loud enough to fog the glass from the inside out.
“You like that?” he growled, barely able to speak. “When I fuck you like this? Can’t even think straight…Jesus, Lucy–”
But she couldn’t answer. Her hands scrambled uselessly for something to hold, nails catching the edge of the seat, her mouth open in a silent cry before the sound finally broke loose. A moan, sharp and high and completely broken. Her whole body jolted, fucked out and frantic, too far gone to hide how much she needed it. How hard she was chasing the high with him.
Tim’s hand stayed tight on her hip, holding her steady. His other hand slid lower, fingers curling around the swell of her ass, pulling her down hard onto him like he needed more. Like he still hadn’t had enough.
Then his finger slid lower, brushing right between her cheeks. He didn’t push. Just circled. Barely there. Just enough for her to feel it. To remember. To know he still could.
Lucy’s whole body twitched, rhythm breaking, and she grabbed onto his shoulders with both hands like she was falling. A sound broke out of her, half gasp, half moan, and all of it real .
“God–Tim…”
She was close, he could feel it. The way her walls tightened, the way her breaths came in ragged gasps, the way her whole body shook above him.
“I’m…oh god, I’m–” she sobbed.
And then she broke.
Her whole body locked down around him, tight and pulsing, and she cried out like the sound had been dragged out of her chest. Her head dropped back, mouth open, eyes squeezed shut. Thighs trembling. Nails digging into his skin.
Tim held her through it, panting, sweat sliding down his back. He didn’t stop moving, couldn’t. Not when she felt that good, not when she was still so tight around him.
He wasn’t there yet… not quite. He’d already cum once. Now it was harder. Slower. But the burn was still alive in his gut, and he chased it, every thrust sharper than the last.
She was still shaking, still grinding against him through the aftershocks. Every stuttered breath against his ear made it worse. Made it better. She murmured his name again and that was it. That tipped him.
His fingers dug into her ass, his other hand gripping the back of her neck, pulling her flush against him.
She whimpered, overstimulated, but he didn’t stop. His thrusts were rough now, erratic, the last of his control unraveling with every grind of her hips into his lap.
A groan ripped out of him. Loud. Unfiltered. His whole body locked up under hers as he came, buried deep, everything pouring out of him in hot, pulsing waves.
His forehead dropped to her shoulder as he breathed through it, shaking, still inside her, heart thudding like a drumline under his ribs.
She held him close, her body limp but satisfied. She ran her fingers through the back of his hair, slow and steady, grounding him like she’d done it a million times before.
Neither of them moved. Not at first.
She slumped over him, cheek pressed to his neck, her body soft and twitching and spent.
“Tim…” Lucy let out a shaky breath, still clinging to him.
“I love you,” she breathed, soft, like it slipped out before she could catch it.
She’d said it before, so many times, in so many ways, but when it came out like this, between gasps and tangled limbs, it always hit different. Heavier. Truer. Like it didn’t come from her mouth but from somewhere deeper. Like her whole body meant it. Like it had been hiding under her skin, waiting for the exact moment her breath was ragged and her hands were still trembling.
He let out a soft, breathless laugh, his lips brushing the edge of her cheek like he couldn’t help himself.
“You always say that when I’m inside you,” he murmured, the words carrying just enough tease to make her smile.
But then, like the truth escaped before he could catch it:
“And still... every time, it knocks the wind out of me.”
Lucy lifted her head, just enough to catch his eyes, and for a moment everything stilled. There was something in the look they shared…quiet, but thick with meaning.
Her hand came up, fingers warm against his skin, thumb brushing gently at the corner of his mouth.
He turned into the touch, eyes fluttering shut for half a breath, like he was trying to hold on to her with more than just his hands.
Then she leaned in and kissed him.
Not teasing. Not possessive. Just... full . Of everything they didn’t say. Of everything they had. The kiss was soft, like she was sealing something between them. Like she was reminding him, I’m here. I’m yours. You’re mine.
When they eased apart, foreheads touching, their breath mingled in the space between them.
His hands moved slowly down her back, a little rough, his fingers dragging over the damp fabric of her tank top, tracing the heat of her skin underneath like they didn’t want to stop. Like if he let go now, she might slip away.
“You good?” he asked, voice low and rough, thick with the come-down and everything she’d just pulled out of him.
She gave a soft nod. “Can’t feel my legs.”
He let out a breath of a laugh. Quiet. Frayed at the edges. “So... not a no.”
She shifted just enough to press a kiss to his cheek. “You’re not allowed to drive next time.”
His laugh came again, this time hoarse, like he could barely catch his breath. “Noted.”
The windows were still fogged. The air was still heavy. The car thick with sex and heat and them. And he didn’t care. Not even a little.
Lucy let out a long, shaky sigh and her hand found his on her thigh, tangling their fingers quietly.
“I’m definitely not walking inside,” she mumbled.
Tim huffed out a laugh. “Guess I’m carrying you, then.”
He didn’t mind.
