Chapter Text
Riding my bike after that was hard.
I didn't quite realize that one tiny toy could have as big of an impact as this one did.
I was dreading the conversation that was about to happen, sense I was about 30 or so minutes late. Probably longer, I got a little distracted in the middle, sue me.
As I suspected, right as I walk in the door. Vaughn storms up to me. Now don't get me wrong. I'm tall, 6'3 to be exact, but Vaughn is 6'0. I know, I know, it isn't that much of a difference, but he make it seem like he's a fucking chihuahua.
"Now where in the fuck have you been, I told you to be here more that thirty minutes ago!" Vaughn in my face.
"What do you mean? I've been here the whole time." A smile crawling onto my face, what can I say, it's fun pissing him off.
"Killian Car-".
"Look, I don't need you to continue screaming at me. I get enough of that from my own parents. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be in my room until the start. Good day." I state, walking away. At least until a hand grabbed my arm, stopping me from going upstairs. "Look, I'm sorry I yelled. I didn't mean it." He genuinely looked sorry, I knew better than to believe it. I've seen that facade enough times. Hell, he's the son of the Pakhan, I would expect nothing less.
"Like I've said before, I'm fine. I've handled worst and lived."
"I know, but it doesn't mean you should continue to keep it to yourself. I shouldn't have yelled, it's just a stressful time." Vaughn said, a sombre look crossing his face.
"Sure."
Initiation has always been freeing to me, a stress reliever if you will, but today I couldn'tve been more stressed in my life. My mother decided to stop ignoring me, and reached out. Asking to meet this 'Mysterious Girl' she keeps hearing about. I don't know what the fuck she's talking about, sense me and Glyndon broke up a little while ago.
Before I got too deep into my own head, Niko comes up and slaps me on the shoulder, "You ready?" I nod "Good, let's go smash some skulls!" He says as he grins.
What have I done?
As I begin to look around at the corpses littering the forest floor, I feel something wet run down my face. I raised my hands to wipe the tears, only for them to come back red.
Red like her head.
Red like the bodies.
I used to love that color, back when I was a child. Before the walls became red, before the incident, before.
"Good job, I didn't believe you would actually do it." A voice taunts.
I look over to see him, as overdressed as usual.
"Have I ever told you that you look good in red Killer?" He smirks, leaning on a tree.
"Killian!" A voice screamed in the distance.
I turned towards the voice, and I can see beems of flashlights. I turn back towards the mess I have created, the red everywhere.
"I can't let them see this." I whisper.
"Then don't, run. Don't let them see this messy, uncalculated side of you. Just run, like your mother, like your father."
"Killian!" I can hear Vaughn's anger.
He leans in, "They're getting closer, so. Whats the answer gonna be?"
